LP10 - No transfer order is automatically created

Hello Geniuses,
Please kindly help me on my issue.
I'm running transaction LP10 which is material staging and I put a check the TO creation checkbox but still no TO is created. But when I used my colleague's user id, it went successfully. The transfer order was created.
I had the authorization's team check and compare my roles and my colleague's roles and they are the same.
Can anyone help me solve the issue?  Is there any other settings for transaction LP10 just like LM00 where the usernames had to be maintained? Or if there is none, what could be the possible cause of this problem?
Many thanks for your help.
Bj.

Hi Murugesan!
Thanks for the reply.
Can you tell me what particular authorizarion I should assign to my username to have the transfer order automatically created and I should go about doing that?
Thank you very much.
Regards,
Bj

  • Avoid automatic Transfer Order confirmation when created.

    Hi Gurus,
When creating the Transfer Order, it automatically gets confirmed. How can we separate the TO creation and confirmation? Where are the switches? So we can either confirmed the TO in LT12 or by using interface.
    Any help is really appreciated.
    Many Thanks

    hi Jyoti,
Thanks for the input. I checked in OMLX and it looks like our Warehouse is not listed for the Separate confirmation of pick and transfer to set up two step confirmation.
But when I try to set this up, system pop up an error saying 'An entry already exists with the same key' whereas this entry is not maintained.
Can you please elt me know what needs to be doen.

  • Transfer order not getting created automatically for a backflushed FERT

    Hi,
I am having a strange problem. in my business process the WM system is set in such a way that the when a production order is confirmed automatic goods receipt  for the  FERT is done. which will automatically create a transfer requirement and convert the TR in to TO automatically and TO will be confirmed automatically.
the issue its not happening so.
when I confirm a production order its creating a TR instead of creating TR --> TO --> TO confirmation.
I tried doing manual goods receipt for the production ordeer and the process worked perfectly.
this process is not working for only one plant. and in another plant when i confirm a production order its creating a TR automatically and then tr is getting converted in to TO automatically and TO is getting confirmed automatically.
I checked all configuration and its all same for both plants.

Maintain a storage location in your delivery.

  • Sales Order which automatically creates Stock Transfer Order

    Hi All,
    I've the following configuration requirement....
-- A semifinished good SF1 will come to my company plant... (Stock Transfer)
-- This SF1 will get converted to SF2 (another semifinished good) inside my company. As a by-product Scrap S1 will be generated.
-- This SF2 will be transfered to vendor for external processing and producing Finished Good FG.
-- This FG will go to customer directly from the vendor.
My requirement is to create third party sales order for FG which in turn trigger PR->PO for FG. This will trigger a stock transfer for SF2 from plant to vendor. For this it will trigger a stock transfer of SF1 from plant (outside) to plant (my company). All this needs to happen when I save sales order for FG. Once the FG is saved, if I go to MD04 (stock requirements list), it should show stock transfer order for SF1, stock transfer order for SF2.
Now I've created SF1, SF2, S1 and FG in material master. Also created Customer C1 and other necessary details such as organizational units, partners etc.
Also I've created BOM for SF2 which includes SF1 and S1 and another BOM for FG which includes SF2 only.
At this moment when I create a sales order for FG and save (third party sales order), the PR is getting generated for FG. But for further levels of processing is not happening. I know that manually these stock transfers could be done. But I want this to happen automatically when I save the sales order for FG.
Please let me know what would be the ways to configue this.
    Thanks in advance.

    As per your thread,
1- SF1 transferred from Plant (P1)- to Plant (P2) - Cab ne mapped through STO Process / Transfer Posting from Plant-Plant(Mov type 301)
2- for this SF1, internal processing will be done in Plant-P2 to convert SF1 into SF2 in resuitl Scrap S1 will generate- Internal Production process (SF1 BOM - SF2 & S1 as child items)
3- Issuing SF2 to Vendor for further processing to convert into FG - Subcontracting Process ( SF2 - Input Material / FG - Output material)
4- Issuing FG directly from Vendor to Customer, based on Customer Order - Third party Order Processing.
As you know, through Configuration its difficult to achieve this. You may need to use the BAPI's to auto trigger these process one after the other. Still you should check feasibility.

  • How to copy long text from production order to automatically created P.R

    Hello experts,
I want to add some text to the long text , in the production order and save it.
There is an external process in our routing, in which when the order is saved and released, there is a P.R created automatically.
My requirement :-  The text in the long text tab of the Production order should flow to one of the text types {Item text} in the P.R item created.
    I checked in SPRO [ IMG-> MM->Purchasing -> P.R-Texts for PR-> define copying rules].
For text type ,  'Item text' already has  the text linkages : Order/network, with source texts "component text' and 'transaction text'.
However, the text being maintained in the order is not flowing on its own anywhere into the P.R created.
Is there any other config that needs to be done to achieve this?
    Regards
    P.R

Hi, A production order long text exists at a header level and a Purchase req gets triggered at an operation level of a production order during external processing.
So if you expect a mapping of a header text to operation level text, it should not be definitely possible in the SAP standard. (May be an enhancement would still work but you need to decide on it).
If you maintain a long text at the same operation where you trigger a pur.req (a text on your own or via a standard text key-CA10 tcode), you would see that populated, at the item-level text tab of the generated pur req automatically, as a standard behaviour.
Hope you would go with the standard system behaviour.

  • Immediate Transfer Order Creation not occuring for Sales Document Type

    Hello gurus,
I have a situation where a transfer order is not being created immediately for a specific sales document type.
Here is an example document flow of a desired scenario where the system is working:
    Sales document type:  ZOR
    >  Delivery type:  LF
    >  WMS transfer order
The Item Category in this scenario is TAN.
Here is an example of the document flow in the current scenario where the system is not working:
    Sales document type:  ZPRD
    > Delivery type:  LF
The Item Category is also TAN in this scenario.  The only identifiable difference in these scenarios is the sales document type.  For the ZOR SaTY, a Transfer Order prints immediately once the delivery is created.  For the ZPRD SaTY, a Transfer Order needs to be manually created after delivery creation.
Is there a configuration setting that is controlling this?  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you very much for the link.  When I insert the WMTA output type in the delivery output header, the Transfer Order is automatically created.
The problem I'm running into now is the configuration setting that controls this.  I thought I figured it out when going to this IMG path:
SAP Customizing Implementation Guide  -->  Logistics Execution -->  Shipping -->  Basic Shipping Functions  -->  Output Control -->  Define Print Parameters Shipping
When selecting the Delivery Note, the shipping point I was using was not configured in this location.  I added the shipping point into this transaction, saved, and created a new order & delivery.  However, the WMTA output type still was not automatically inserted into the delivery when saving.  Is there another location I should be looking to fix this so that when I enter an order with a particular Shipping Point, the WMTA output type automatically appears in the delivery?

  • Transfer Order auto create for Posting Change not working

    Hello Gurus -
When we release an inspection lot from "Q" status, it creates a posting change notice, and we have it configured to create a TO in the background to the same bin, and auto confirm.  The desired and intended result is to take something from "Q" status to unrestricted status, while keeping it in the same bin - and avoiding the user having to deal with the transfer orders.  Essentially it is seamless and all in the background, the user just sees that he has changed something from quality status to unrestricted.
It works fine when the entire quantity is selected for the usage decision, but when a partial usage decision is made, the transfer order does not create - and requires processing in LU04 for the posting change.
Why would this work for an entire qty, but not work for a partial qty - and simply require someone to go in to LU04 and hit "create transfer order" - with no additional information?
Any help would be most appreciated.  Does it have something to do with a setting of quants?

    Hi,
In case of a usage decision for a partial quantity, it is not possible to create the Transfer Order for the generated posting change notice automatically. This is only possible when the full quantity is released. The same happens if you release a partial quantity and post the rest to blocked stock or scrap. The reason is, there needs to be a user decision, which part of the quantity has to be posted, this is necessary for example when the quantity is distributed in the warehouse over many storage bins. But even if the full quantity is on one storage bin, there is no automatic TO creation. You can see this also in the online
processing (LT05), in case of partial quantities you have to enter the selected quantity in the quant list, for a full posting this is not necessary.
    Hope this helps,

  • Transfer Order not created while performing GR for Production order

Hi, I am facing a problem while recieving stock from a production order. The system does not create a transfer requirement or a TO.
Let me give you a brief background.
This is a new functionality introduced in ECC 6.0 for working with kanban in WM.
Supply area is created for WM location.
Control cycle is created for material, supply area. Warehouse, storage type and Bin is maintained in control cycle record. When the GR is done for production order material is recieved in this bin.
    1) Now when the Kanban is set empty a production order is automatically created.
    2) Once the production order is confirmed the material automatically shows up in the bin.
A material document is created which shows IM movement type 101 and WM movement type 103. Also in material document Immediate auto TO checkmark is blank.
    3) *PROBLEM* - System does not create a TR or a TO. the material automatically shows up in the Bin. How can we enable an auto TR and TO creation.
Following are the settings which I have already checked:
    1) In IMG, WM movement type 103 has auto TO indicator set.
    2) IM-WM interface for 102 movement type and 103 movement type is maintained.
The main problem is: Although the material document displays WM movement type 103 and the stock lies in WM bin, System never created a Transfer requirement or a Transfer order.
I would really appreciate if anyone can help me in this.
    Thanks

    Hi Mike,
I do not know this function in SAP, so these are just my ideas:
    1.
System does not create a TR or a TO. the material automatically shows up in the Bin.
I think it's a normal SAP behaviour. If you do GR against a PO the quant(s) will appear in interim storage bin w/o TO. The TO is to move the quants from one bin to another, but in this case the quant comes from 'nothing' and arrives at the bin.
If you make confirmation and consume the components refering to a PrdOrd, the components will disappear w/o TO from storage type 100 + dynamic bin, because there's no TO that could move them from dynamic bin to 'nothing'.
So, these 'movements' are to change the WM stock level and TOs are not designed for this.
    2.
There's difference between auto creation of TO and immediate TO creation. Please check what SAP help says in case of TOs for outbound deliveries:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_47x200/helpdata/en/c6/f8406c4afa11d182b90000e829fbfe/frameset.htm
    3.
Now when the Kanban is set empty a production order is automatically created.
So, if you remove the stock from the Kanban it triggers the creation of a PrdOrd. This is very logical in a Kanban system because it is a pull system. but your problem is not this, it's clear.
If you just created an automatic TO and would remove the stock from Kanban-bin, a new PrdOrd would be generated, and so on. As many times you remove the stock a new PrdOrd is created and this might be the reason why no TO is crated automatically. In this case this would be a push system and not kanban system.
I do not know this process but if we concentrate only on the pull system, maybe this Kanaban is to store the FG until an event (e.g. shipment) should trigger the stock removal from this bin. (just my assumption)
Please try to mark the TR creation for the movement type w/o auto / immediate TO and tell us the result (whether you get the TR if you confirm the PrdOrd).
    Regards,
    Csaba

  • Shipping Output Type WMTA for automatic WM Transfer Order

    I have a situation.
Regular stock. Sales order, Delivery automatically created, Green light for the WMTA output type, but no TO. (Extras / Delivery output /Header)
In my opion a green light here means my conditon was set up properly, and a Transfer Order should have been created.
Anyone with more specific details for the condition maybe?
    Thanks,
    Nick

    Hi Nicolo,
If your Plant is assigned to Ware house, Yes in this case, Picking will be done through Transfer Order.
yes if the output is showing the Green light means your condition is correct.other wise it will show the Red light for Error and some times Yellow Light for Incompletion.
Hope this Clarifies your Doubts and Please Reward If Really helpful,

  • How to pick additional delivery quantity after creating Transfer Order .

    Hi
Sales order has been created for 30 pc of material ,  with reference to this  sales order , delivery  has been created .Afterwards  I  created  transfer order in lt03 and got it confirmed  in LT12. However , PGI has not been carried out .
Afterwards ,  I went to  VL02N and manually increased the materialsu2019 quantity to 60 pc in delivery  .
In delivery packing status is partially picked .
I request you to help me how can  I pick another 30pc as already transfer order has been created and confirmed for this delivery .
Either system is not allowing me to cancel transfer order in order to create   fresh  transfer order to with reference to this delivery . Otherwise , I could have done it .
Could you please suggest me , how to go about it .

    Hi
There is an excellent way to handle your issue
While creating TO in t code LT03 in the initial screen control tab if you give pick quantity as 2 after the TO creation the system will simultaneouslely do PGI also in a single shot
This means the delivery quantity cant be changed in the VL02N
The whole VL02N will be display mode fully greyed out
That means after TO you cant change the delivery
If extra qty has to be added then it has to be a separate order only
I have practised this only and for the past two hrs i was breaking my head how come you are changing delivery after TO creation and for me it was in display mode(fully greyed out) even in VL02N and i found out i am using adopt pick qty as 2 in the initial screen of LT03 which does PGI in a single shot
This should be a good solution for you
Even the solution suggested by Mr.Raj Malhotra you will face the same problem

  • Deactivate automatic transfer order during PO process

transfer order confirmation during PO process.
i deactivate confirmation  in warehouse number, storage type, movement type. but again its happened the transfer order confrimation

Check again in OMLX both indicators are removed. If you are still facing the issue then you may need to check any enhancement done for this purpose to override the configuration.
Or check you are using any special Movement indicator to directly putaway the material bypassing the TR & TO. Check WM view 1 for special mvt indicator
Please refer the prerequesiste for the TO confirmation. If you remove the prerequisites it should work fine. But it is not advisable to remove the Confirmation required indicator at storage type level

  • WM how to determine storage bins manually for a multi row transfer order?

Hi to everyone. in our WM configuration, SAP system is posting transfer requirements automatically according to goods receipt. After that, we want to post transfer orders with reference to recently created transfer requirement.
We prefer to use Logistics> Logistics Execution> Internal Whse Processes> Transfer Requirement> Display> LB12 - For Material Document
Then choose the transfer requirement we want and press "TO in foregr." button. For single material documents, there is not a problem, we can easily determine the storage bin(s) we want to transfer materials. But in multi material transfer orders there is not an option to choose storage bins in "Create TO from TR: Overview of Transfer Requirement" screen. it is expected from us to "generate TO item" and "save" without entering any storage bin addresses. after that, system automatically send materials to storage bins according to customizations and the material master data.
I want to know, if there is a possibility for us to choose the storage bins we want in multi material transfer orders which are created from transfer requirements. Any help will be highly appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.
