could u plz tell me practically why we give lpos and spos in a searchhelp?what is the advantage?

LPOS:
Position of the parameter in the hit list.
If the parameter should not appear in the hit list, leave this field empty. No position number may occur more than once in this column, but gaps are allowed. They do not affect the design of the hit list.
SPOS:
Position of the search help parameter in the dialog box for limiting the hit list.
If the parameter should not appear in this dialog box, leave this field empty. If no such dialog box appears while making possible entries as defined by this elementary search help, leave this field empty for all parameters.
No position number may occur twice in this column, but gaps are allowed. They do not affect how the selection screen looks.

    when you data  is displayed  in the F4 help   that time it will  be   based on the  LPos   position .
    <b>SPOS</b>-> Position of field in search help restriction screen.

    When  you press the F4  button the   selection screen will be  displayed   with  fields of the Search  attached to that Field ....there   the order  of the field  in the selection screen  was determined by the  SPOS  .
    <b>Note:</b>  If  you read  10  time   again and   agani  slowly  you will better understand the Definition of the line  of LPOS & SPOS
    <b>Example  :</b>
    search help  ztest
    1. matnr      spos = 2  , lpos = 1
    2. maktx      spos = 1  , lpos = 3
    3. meins     spos = 3  , lpos = 2
    Then 
    use the above search help  for table field   or for  report parameter .
    then    when  you press  F4  ... the selection screen  will be  displayed  with
    SPOS

    When  press  enter   you will see the   data displayed for  above  fields as 
    LPOS

  • SharePoint Online Power Bi. pbix files and SPO List refreshes?

    I have a Power Bi License on SharePoint Online - suspect the free one.  I have access to the Power Bi Admin center and gateway on SPO.  I have Power Bi on my Windows 8 desktop.  
    On my client I've created a pbix report with an SOP List data source.. on my client it works and refreshes!
    How can I present that report on an my SPO page to users? I've tried to upload to do library and dashboard page on an SPO Bi Site and it only wants to download the pbix file. Also will users need to have a Power Bi license to view the page/report?
    Once up, will my report allow for data refresh to SPO List sources? Automatic refreshes? We've had issues with this before with Excel Services where SPO data will not allow refresh powerview connections for some reason on SPO.
    Any option within Power Bi to build WYSIWYG (SSRS type) reports where we can arrange SPO Data into full page view by Item?

  • Email interface for LPOs and RFQs

    A client has a requirement that RFQ  and LPO go directly to the vendor after final release via email . They also want the sysytem set such that one cannot release or approve  an LPO for others unless on delegation.Please give suggestions on how to handle these requirements. Thanks for your help.

    For E mail interface of any Purchasing documents read SAP Note 191470 and configure accordingly.
    For restricting release to a perticular user ,consult your BASIS team and restrict the release authorisation .

  • Custom Azure solutions using ADFS and SPO permissions group for ACL?

    This is a stretch, but say we have a custom ASP.NET website in Azure we hope/plan to secure with ADFS. Possible somehow to use SPO Permission groups to manage those permissions?
    Basically what we are trying to do is move some custom functionality outside of SharePoint to Azure, but we would like SPO Permission groups to determine who can run those external solutions.

    I"m not sure what will happen with users creating directories. Generally if you use mkdir -p to create a new directory it will inherit the permissions of the parent folder.
    I'm not sure how finder will handle this. Maybe you can use automator to look for new directories and modify the permissions on them.

    i tried ur problem.....
    nothing special as to be done to add a new field in elementary search........
    just press F4 at parameters.
    there are already 4 fields...
    BUKRS
    HBKID
    BANKS
    BANKL
    you just add ur field.....
    TEXT1
    and specify Lpos and Spos as 5.
    and activate...... thats all......
    i tried and it worked for me........

  • F4 help button not getting displayed

    Hi,
    I have unique problem it seems. I have atttached a explicit search help object for one of the fields in a local structure of type db table.. In standard selection screen i am defining a parameter of this field and have used "matchcode object" also to again specify the search help name. but on the selection screen when i press the f4 the search help comes but the button which shows that f4 help is provided does not come up..
    Actually i have done my development in one system and button is shown up there.. later i transported it to a test system where the button does not show up...
    Any answers will be very helpful

    you can use function module  F4IF_INT_TABLE_VALUE_REQUEST
    or
    can follow these simple steps for search help:

  • Vendor Master Data F4 Search Restriction

    Hello SAP users
    In FK01. FK02 or FK03, when we press F4 to search vendor, I found there
    is no criteria for vendor group. Also, is there any suggestion to
    improve the performance of the F4 result searching process.

    Yes..but proceed carefullyy..
    Use transaction OB50 and go under tab Included Search help.....
    Double click on KREDA - Vendors (General)......select Log on language...
    Click on change icon......
    Add field KTOKK with 4 characters in LPos and SPos...
    Activate the settings..

  • Is there any limit for Number of fields in a Search help

    Hi,
    I have created a search help via SE11 and LPOS and SPOS  is  defined for all of the fields.  The problem is whenever a 12 th field is added it disturbs the list and output is not displayed properly.
    The Record Tab is having data of 180 characters, even though it is not taking 12 th field.

    you can use anyone:
    1)   CALL FUNCTION 'F4IF_INT_TABLE_VALUE_REQUEST'
    or
    2) 
    can follow these simple steps for search help:

    methods of applyind search help:
    For search help sometimes we use MATCHCODE----->when we apply it directly to parameter or select option.they are obselete now ii.For search help sometimes we CALL FUNCTION 'F4IF_INT_TABLE_VALUE_REQUEST' ??------->if we want to populate data of internal table as search help.
    iii.For search help sometimes we declare tablename-fieldname in selection?------>if that field in that table is having seach help or check table ..F4 will be avaliable directly.
    also:
    Fixed value of domain can also work as search help.

    for this u have to do two things.First create elementary search helps then cascade all the elementary search helps in collective search help.
    1)goto->se11
    2)select search help radio button and give some name starting with z and create and u can see two radio buttons elementary search help and collective search help.selcet elementary search help.
    3)give some description there and in selection method parameter give any table name like MARA,MARC.any table name u need.
    4)Mention field names which are needed to be appeared in  the search help option.
    give -a) search help parameter name as matnr,ernam etc.......
    b) check imp and exp parameters and give LPOS and SPOS metion the postion u want by giving integer values 1 and1.then save check and activate.
    like that u can create elementary search helps how many u want.
    <u>collective search help</u>
    go to-> se11
    1))select search help radio button and give some name starting with z and create and u can see two radio buttons elementary search help and collective search help.select collective search help.
    2) mention search help fileds which are to be displayed. as same as elementary search help.
    3) attach all the elementary search helps in INCLUDE SEARCH HELP  tab what ever u want.

    SE11 -> Select Database table radiobutton -> Specify table name starting with Z or Y -> Click on Create -> Opens an interface -> Enter short description -> Specify A (Application table) for DELIVERY CLASS -> Specify Display/Maintenance Allowed -> Click on Fields Tab button -> Specify Field names -> Select the first field as Primary key with Initial values -> Specify Data type and length for each field -> Click on Technical Settings pushbutton from Appn. Toolbar -> Save before leaving tool -> Save under a package -> Assign request number -> Opens an interface -> Specify Data Class as APPL0 -> Specify Initial Size Category as 0 -> Save -> Come back -> ACtivate the table.
    To create Entries -> Click on Utilities Menu -> Table Contents -> Create Entries -> Opens an interface with fields created -> Specify records -> SAve -> Come back.

    3. FULLY BUFFERED - With this type, a buffer is created to hold all the records existing in the table.
    CREATING A TABLE USING DATA ELEMENTS:
    NAVINGATIONS TO CREATE A DOMAIN:
    SE11 -> Select Domain radiobutton -> Specify domain name starting with Z or Y -> Click on create -> Opens an interface -> Enter short description -> Specify technical attributes (data type and length) for the field -> Save -> Activate -> Come back.
    NAVIGATIONS TO CREATE A DATA ELEMENT:
    SE11 -> Select Data Type radiobutton -> Specify name -> Click on create -> Opens an interface -> Select Data Element radiobutton -> Continue -> Opens another interface -> Enter short description -> Specify domain name created earlier -> Press enter -> Technical attributes are automatically called from the domain -> Save -> Activate -> Come back.
    Create a table -> Specify Delivery class, Display/Maintenance Allowed -> Specify Field names -> Specify Data Element name for each field -> Press Enter -> Specify Technical settings -> Save -> Activate -> Create Entries.
    PROVIDING F4 FUNCTIONALITY FOR THE INPUT FIELDS IN GUI:
    SE11 -> Select Search Help radiobutton -> Specify name -> Click on Create -> Select Elementary Search Help -> Continue -> Opens interface -> Enter short description -> In SELECTION METHODS, specify table name -> In SEARCH HELP PARAMETERS, specify field names -> Check IMPORT and EXPORT checkboxes -> Specify values for LPOS and SPOS as 1 and 1 -> Save -> Activate.
    Use MATCHCODE OBJECT <Search_help> in PARAMETERS statement as follows:
    eg.
    PARAMETERS A(10) MATCHCODE OBJECT Z_MY_SEARCH.
    LPOS and SPOS parameters are used to specify the positions of fields in the search help screen for the input field.
    VIEWS:
    To fetch records from more than one database table, database view is used.
    NAVIGATIONS:
    SE11 -> Select View Radiobutton -> Specify name -> Create -> Select Database View -> Continue -> Opens interface -> Enter short description -> Specify table names in TABLES area -> Click on Relationships pushbutton -> Opens an interface -> Select relationship based on primary key values (not based on MANDT field) -> A join condition is automatically generated -> To choose fields from different tables, click VIEW FIELDS tab button -> Click TABLE FIELDS pushbutton -> Select first table -> Click on Choose -> Select required fields -> Repeat same for other tables -> Save -> Activate -> Say NO to warning message.
    In SE38 editor, use the following code to access records using View:
    TABLES Y_MYVIEW.
    SELECT * FROM Y_MYVIEW.
    WRITE :/ Y_MYVIEW-MATNR, Y_MYVIEW-MTART, Y_MYVIEW-MBRSH, Y_MYVIEW-MEINS, Y_MYVIEW-WERKS, Y_MYVIEW-LVORM.

  • F4 help in DDIC

    hi all,
    I have tried to set f4 help in the particular field in Ztable .
    My requirement is whenever i enter the value in field (Ztable) via table entries in databrowser i need f4 help.
    I know there is oneway to get this to set foreign key.
    but,I have seen search help button in DDIC.
    how to i set the f4 help to use this button.

    hi ,
    To Create Search Help you need to follow these steps.
    go to SE11 ,
    ->click on Search help radio button
    ->give a search help name , then Click on Create
    -> a pop up will appear , choose 'Elementary search help'
    ->give ur master table name in ' Selection method '
    ->in 'Search help parameter name' specify ur field name on which u want to create Search help
    ->also click on import and export checkbox,
    ->specify LPOS and SPOS . Then press ENTER.
    ->you will get the Data element name of ur trasp table in the dataelement field.
    Save,check,activate.
    click Database Table:ZXXXXX.
    click on Tab-Entry Help/Check ->Give Search Help name in Search help field.
    Save, check n Activate.
