LPX bug: altering length of multiple regions unpredictable

Selecting multiple regions and editing the length of the right corner (shortening them) sometimes changes the length of some regions but not all of them, oher times deletes a region altogether, in a random way.
Sometimes it even works as expected.

Hi
The "content" div is styled to have 100px height and visible overflow. So the text is overflowing the div but the footer is  "unaware" / ingoring it and positions itself after "sidebar2"
Change the height of "content" to 100% and it should work.
Kind Regards,
Alex

  • Matrix Editor & Multiple Regions: Moving Note Start Earlier Doesn't Work

    Hi,
When viewing multiple regions in the Matrix editor, I can't move the start time of a note to the left (leaving the end position the same). This move works just fine when viewing a single region in Matrix.
Funny thing is that although the note won't budge, the move is listed in the Undo History as "Undo Left Corner Change".
Feels like a bug, but before I go there...
Can anyone confirm this behavior? It would be great to know if it happens in 7.1.1 as well as 7.2.3.
    Best,
    -=iS=-

    MS,
Thanks for correctly pronouncing my name! LOL!
Wouldnt dragging the note or notes to an
earlier starting place and lengthen the right hand
side give you operation you wanted?
Yes, indeed it would. But then I'd have to remember where the ending should be.
Wait a second... (think, think, think...)
Ah, yes, I could slice the note in two, leaving the end piece as a place marker, move the first piece backwards to where I want it to start, then glue the two pieces together.
Good suggestion! Thanks for that. (DING! DING! DING!)

  • How can I change the length of multiple lines at the same time?

This just seems like it should be a no-brainer, but obviously for me it isn't.  I'm trying to change the length of multiple lines, that are at different angles, at the same time, in CS4.  Basically, I design the face of dials used for airplane instrument gauges (like RPM, Torque, etc), and they have gradiation marks (lines) located all around, similar what a clock looks like with the hour and minute gradiation marks (lines).  Is there a way to select all the lines, that I know are the same length, and change it to a different length, that's accurate to the 1/100th of an inch?  It would just be like selecting multiple lines that have all the same stroke, then using the stroke box to change the stroke weight from .025in to .030in.
I've used the transform box to change the 'height' of a line before, but the line has to be at 90 degrees (straight up and down), and that won't work for the lines that are at, say, a 45 degree angle.
I hope i'm explaining this in a way that someone will understand. If not, I can sure try to clarify more, or insert the picture so you could see what i'm talking about.
Thanks for any help you can give!

OK, after fiddling around with everyone's ideas, I think I finally got it. I knew there had to be something with proportions between W and H, but couldn't figure out the math, until Jacob answered with:
"If each line must be strecthed from the inner/outer end, you may select each and use the Transform palette, choosing the right Reference Point, multiplying by the proportion in W or H (1.75/1.5), and Ctrl/Cmd clicking."
Now, I basically did everything above, (but I couldn't figure out what you were talking about with the Ctrl Clicking thing), except after figuring out the right proportion (which ends up being so small you guys would die if I told you the number; the numbers I gave earlier were just an example and much larger than what i'm really working with) I just clicked the little chain next to the W and H boxes to constrain the proportions. I then put the new number (multiplied proportion by whatever was in W) in the W box. The line lengthened perfectly toward the center of the dial, keeping the correct angle!
And Harron-Thanks for the link to Teri's, It is going to help with some things I do, but most of the dials I design don't have equal distances between each gradiation mark, and the blueprints I work off of usually have exactly what distances that the grad. marks are supposed to be. So, after selecting one of my grad marks that is already at it's correct place, I then use the rotate tool and Alt-Clicking the very center of the dial, I can then put in exactly what distance I want the next grad. mark to be at, I hit copy (instead of OK) and there will be a new grad. mark exactly the correct distance from my original. Then if I want to have the 3rd grad. mark I just hit Ctrl-D and it will copy another mark to the next position. I don't know if you necessarily wanted to know all that, but i thought i'd explain why I like doing it that way.
A BIG thanks to everyone! I'm really a AI newbie and am the only one at my company that knows how to use it, so I don't have anyone close to ask stupid questions to. So I appreciate all your help!

  • How to edit multiple regions in one Piano Roll window

I edit multiple regions in one Piano Roll window at the same time. (It is very handy way of editing especially in huge orchestra projects.)
I can see midi contents of all selected regions in Piano Roll at the same time.
    1) But how to choose certain one region of many selected to edit it?
    2) And how to edit all at once?
Hope the questions are clear enough.
    Thanks.
    Dmitriy.
    iMac (27-inch, Mid 2011) 2,7 GHz Intel Core i5. 16 GB 1333 MHz DDR3.
    OS X 10.10.2

First of all, the Piano Roll has two mechansim, of what it is displaying.
Selected Track: This displays all the Regions that you select in the Tracks Window
One Track: Selecting one Region in the Track Area displays all the Regions of tha tTrack in the Piano Roll. If you select multiple Regions in the Tracks Window, then the last selected Regions counts.
Whatever Regions are now displayed in the Piano Roll Editor can be edited. Select the MIDI Events and apply the command.
You can also apply edits directly to the selected Regions in the Tracks Window.
I explain all those little details in my graphically enhanced manuals ("Logic Pro X - How it Works")
One thing to be clear about:
Tracks Window: Any edit is applied to the selected Regions
Piano Roll Editor: Ay edit is applied to the selected Events
    Hope that helps

  • ? Flash CS4, Is it possible to adjust the length of multiple timelines at once?

    Hi,
I am using Flash CS4. Is there any way to adjust the length of multiple timelines at once? I am doing an animation of leaves falling from a tree. The leaves alone have 17 separate timelines on separate layers plus each has it's own guide layer.
If I had the ability to to select all of the timelines together and adjust all of their respective start and end times at the same same time, relative to each other as well as separately, life would be so much easier!
Of course I can do it timeline by timeline, no problem, but I can't seem to adjust the length of more than one timeline at a time. (no pun intended)
Even when I select more than one timeline, the double arrow only adjusts the length of one timeline. Even each guide layer's length has to be adjusted separately. I understand the benefit of this, but, testing timing and making adjustments would be so much simpler and go so much faster if I could select and drag multiple timeline lengths at the same time.
Is there any way to do this?
I'm new to Flash so, thanks in advance for your patience with me!
    SabelV

Thanks! I had a feeling. It's nice to have the answer. Oh well, now I can get back to work and not waste any more time with that part of the puzzle. You've been very helpful and I'm sure your answer is correct.  Wish I knew how to rate your answer even higher. Thanks again!

  • How do I change the length of multiple photo's after I've added them?

How do I change the length of multiple photo's after I've added them?

    Hey,
The best way to do this is to select all the clips by holding down the shift key or command key if the clips you want to change are not all right next to each other and then selecting each clip that you want to change. Then double-click on the clips which will open up the inspector tab and then you can change the duration. If you want to just change all clips to the same duration just double-click on one of the photos and in the inspector tab next to the durationt tab you will see a box that says "add duration to all clips". If you click that, when you change the duration all the photos will change to that duration. That will then change the duration of all the clips at the same time.

  • Multiple Region PDF's

I just finished installing BI Publisher and have successfully created pdf documents from reports. Now I have a page with multiple regions (4 to be exact). It seems that the printing options are on a region by region basis.
Is there a way to print a whole page as a PDF?? Ideally, it would be like a 'printer friendly' report (without tabs etc.) but contain the entire page not just one region .

    Scott,
There's no print-friendly PDF version of a page. So you're right, it's on a region by region basis. There are however report queries available under shared components. Those report queries allow you to use RTF based report layouts, which can include multiple regions, combinations of regions and charts, and you can include the values of you application and page items, if you want to display those values in your PDF as well (e.g. form values).
You can find samples for RTF templates on the BI Publisher OTN site:

  • Any way to add multiple regions to a dialplan

I want a single dial plan for my pool (which is centralied) but want to
have multiple Dialin Conferencing régions. Any way to have 1 dial plan associated with multiple dialin conf régions ?

Thx for the quick answer Kevin.
However i don't want to assigned multiple regions to a dialin access number, i'd like to assign multiple regions to a dialplan.
I want multiple regions with different numbers but do not want multiple dial plans.
Question is:  1 dialplan = 1 dialin region only ??
I think that my only option is to have a "north America" dialin region and assign my differant npa access numbers.

  • Set multiple Region Keys to one Region within Map component?

Does anyone know if multiple region keys can be tied to one specific region within a Map component?
    Example -
My data contains the following values that i'd use as Region Keys (these are codes in my table that stand for cities within Taiwan):
         1) TW/FJN
         2) TW/KSH
         3) TW/TWN
On the China Map Component I can set a Region Key for Taiwan.  But is there a way to be able to set all 3 of the above listed values for a Taiwan Region key?  Or am I only allowed to enter 1 value?
Here is a photo to help show what i'm talking about:

  • One save button, multiple regions question

Hi. I have a question dealing with multiple regions in APEX 2.2. I would like to have a page with two regions. The top displays account transactions for the current period. Due to the nature of the application, there are a fixed number of transactions per period and all fit in one page.
The bottom regions displays the ROI value for the current period. It pulls from a table that has exactly one row per period. The period is always the same for the top and bottom region.
The current generation of the page shows the account transactions. The region was generated using the wizard and has a type of "SQL Query (updateable report)." As it, it works nicely.
When we added the new region for the ROI, we used the wizard, too. The ROI region has the same type ("SQL Query (updateable report)." We have just one SAVE button on the page and it does the submit.
The problem is that when we save, we get an error:
Error in mru internal routine: ORA-20001: Error in MRU: row= 1, ORA-20001: ORA-20001: Current version of data in database has changed since user initiated update process.
If we delete the bottom region then we don't get this error.
The fields that it shows are always from the top region, even if we're only updating the ROI. From what I understand, APEX thinks that the cached values have been updated in the database. Since we're testing on a dedicated box, I know that no one else is making updates. I've also seen this error when we've accidentally rearranged the order of the fields in the report query. I think that's not the case here since deleting the new region makes the page work as expected.
My question is how can we get the two regions to work together on the same page?
    Thanks
    Mike

    Hi,
When working with report regions only one could be updateable report. You need to delete the region that's not updatable and recreate it as an non-updateable report.
If need to update another table use a process (PLSQL) called when your save button is pressed.
    Hope could help you.

  • Multiple Regions as Single Report...

    Hi all,
I am looking to incorporate multiple regions as a single report...
Did a quick search in the forum ....i have seen some discussions on multiple reports in a single region....
my sample application details are as below....
    http://apex.oracle.com/pls/otn/f?p=4500:1000:410975692726494
    workspace name : bi_development
    username: apexforum
    pwd : apexforum
application name: multiple region in one report.
    Thanks in advance.

    Yes, you can do it.
    Take a look at http://xlspe.com

  • Multiple regions

    Hi
If you have reports in multiple regions, Is it possible to print all the reports at once instead of indivdually in their respective region.
    Marco

    Hi Dimitri,
I've done that on my OTN workspace app. I created the report query using "select empno, ename from emp order by 1". Did a page button and got the pdf as I would expect. I then went back and added a second query "select deptno, dname from dept order by 1", applied changes to save the query and again to save the report query. Went back to my page, and the pdf still only shows the emp report. Went back to the report query, the second select statement is definitely there but even the Test button only shows the emp query. Is there something else I need to do?

  • Multiple regions on 1 page

I know that I can only have 1 Tabular Form on a page.
I know that I can have multiple regions on a page.
Can I have multiple HTML regions on the same page, with Text Fields?
And, if so, do I need separate submit buttons for each region???
    Thank you -
    Marion

    Marion:
Can I have multiple HTML regions on the same page, with Text Fields?Yes, you can. However, you are not allowed to submit more than 100 page-items.
And, if so, do I need separate submit buttons for each region???All page items regardless of what region they are on are submitted on the submit action. Hence one 'Submit' button will suffice.

  • CURSOR across multiple Regions

    Hello,
I have a page that I need to display around 300 fields with custom html mixed in. Instead of creating all the page items, I want to just creat a CURSOR and use htp.print. My problem is that its a LOT of code. I want to break it apart across multiple regions. Is their a way to OPEN a cursor so that multiple regions can use it?
Or, back to the PHP days, is their an ARRAY that this can be loaded into and printed like a cursor when needed?

Is their a way to OPEN a cursor so that multiple regions can use it?You can have a process run before all regions to insert records into a collection(by a package call or PLSQL region).
Then refer to this collection in your regions(s)
<li>If you want to separte or split the content across, multiple "regions" , you cab generate them in the same PLSQL code that you posted.
For instance, you have a single PLSQL based region without any template which generate the HTML code that renders like multiple region.
In the Source, you can generate the HTML code for the region(s) in addition to printing out the data.
An Apex region normally consists of div or table elements given some styling using builtin classes(and matching the theme). So if you generate the same HTML, it would render the same as a region. You can copy the HTML content of any region template(or from the rendered page) and add that within the "htp.p" codes.
<li> A third option would be to generate the enclose different sections of your data in some identifiable HTML element and use Javascript to move them under the appropriate region.
Having said this, I have to agree with replies above, there could be a better way of displaying your data than generating the entire HTML yourself.Since you say about using a cursor, I guess multiple SQL reports regions would be a good starting point as they are used for displaying lots of records. You could tweak the look'n'feel with some kind of customized template, rather that redo the whole thing yourself.

  • Pulling multiple regions

    Carl:
    Regarding your example at http://htmldb.oracle.com/pls/otn/f?p=11933:48
The report region is rendered on some hidden (i.e. not displayed) page and pulled into whatever region needs it using the htmldb_get object.
gReturn = get.get(null,'<htmldb:BOX_BODY>','</htmldb:BOX_BODY>');In this case, it extracts the fragment of that hidden page between those 2 markers.
If I need to pull more than 1 report region in this fashion, it seems inefficient to call get.get() again, it should be possible (?) to get all the page fragments using just 1 call.
    Comments?
    Thanks

    Hello,
Just put your multiple regions within that tag anything within that tag will be pulled out as one big chunk.
Or if that doesn't work for you ,if your putting the returned regions in different spots or need to do more specialized formating, pull the whole page and parse the return string yourself to get whatever you need.
I would stay away from multiple calls to the same page for one interaction if you don't need to do them.
