LR 1.4 cannot recognize Pana LX-3 raw files

I'm running LR 1.4 and am trying to import raw files from my new Panasonic LX-3. LR does not recognize the file type - tells me there's nothing to upload. I've downloaded DNG converter 5.4 with the hopes that that would do the trick. Either LR is not communicating with the DNG converter or, well, I don;t know what.
Can anyone tell me how to import LX-3 raw files into LR 1.4? I'd rather not spend the money to upgrade to LR 2,4
Thanks --

If the DNGC 5.4 is able to process the LX-3 files then before you perform
the conversion, try setting the DNG-compatiblity-version (or whatever it is
called) to something lower than it is, now...at least a couple versions
older.
If the DNGC 5.4 cannot recognize the LX-3 files then try the DNGC 5.5
release-candidate (beta) available on Adobe Labs (labs.adobe.com)...and also
set the DNG-compatibility-version to something at least a couple less than
the current version.

  • Cannot open Canon Rebel XT raw files in Photoshop CS

    Get the following error message:
"Could not complete your request because this version of Photoshop does not supply the services required by this plug-in module."
I have updated to the 2.4 camera raw plugin and placed it in C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop CS\Plug-Ins\File Formats. When I go into CS to help->about plugin -> there are two camera raws that show up. The first is labeled 3.7 (2007) and the other is labeld 2.4 (2005). Not sure where the 3.7 version is coming from, but also not sure if it matters.
What do I need to do to get CS to enable the reading of the Digital Rebel XT raw files?
    Thanks!

    Thanks, Rob.
I download the images via a usb cord -- simply going into C3, clicking on "Import." The software recognizes my camera, but the message I get is: "Although RAW or animated images exist in the camera, this software only displays JPEG images." C3 then proceeds to download the JPEG images but not the RAW images.
I should point out that I am using a trial version. I have been considering purchasing C3, with being able to work in raw format one of the primary reasons for doing so. Before purchasing, I decided to download the trial version for 30 days. Is it possible that the trial version does not have all of the same capacity -- including RAW editing -- that the regular version does? I was under the impression it was the full Photoshop C3 version.

  • Cannot import canon eos 350d raw files

I have checked the suitable camera list and the canon rebel xt is lsted
I am told that eos350d is the same camera ,also uses same user manual
but i cannot import raw files into i photo 5.2
I have noticed that the file extension of the canon raw files is.CR2
    any ideas anyone?
    thanks

I was so frustrated about that too. I just bought this iLife 5 a few days ago (Oct, 9, 2005) because I figured that iPhoto 5 could download my canon 350 raw photos. I like iPhoto because it has nice photo orangization. I wonder after reading this whole discussion why there has not been an Apple personel responses the discussion here. What I am doing now is to use Canon ImageBrowser to convert all my raw into jpeg and then import to my iPhoto Library. It is s..k!

  • When will Adobe Camera Raw recognize the Canon 6D RAW files?

Does anyone know when Canon 6D will be added to the list of cameras that ACR recognizes the RAW files?

Hopefully ACR 7.3 (Main Release), if not ACR 7.4 (RC - Release Candidate/ Beta) should support EOS 6D.
You can stay tuned to any updates from here: http://labs.adobe.com/technologies/ on availability of new Camera Raw versions.

  • Installed digital camera raw update 3.8, but Aperture doesn't recognize Oly E-P3 raw files

I was excited to see that the digital camera raw compatibility update 3.8 purported to provide support for Olympus E-P3 raw files. I installed it from Software Update, and Aperture 3.1.3 (OSX 10.6.8) still showed the raw files as "unsupported". I restarted my Mac, got the same result. I downloaded and installed the standalone update, and again got the same result. Has anyone else had success with the update?

I found a solution. My E–P3 raw files still showed up as “unsupported” after reinstalling the update from the standalone updater. I discovered that selecting one of the “unsupported” raw files and having Aperture reprocess it (even though it had never been processed at all) made the file recognizable by Aperture and allowed me to make adjustments to it. I then reprocessed all of my E–P3 raw files and the only problem I have noted is that the vertical files were not auto rotated.
In reprocessing the raw files, I selected "only photos without adjustments" and "reprocess existing images". I hope this helps anyone who experienced this problem.

  • I cannot load McAfee because of RAW files??

    HP Pavilion a6400f   product # K3379AA-A2L
    WINDOWS VISTA
    McAfee Installation incomplete.
McAfee says there program is detecting RAW files and will not load?

Sounds like you bought a used phone with apps still on it and because the apps are tied to the apple id used to download them you cannot update them because you don't know the password of the old user of the phone. I suggest you wipe the phone and start as new and use your own apple id to redownload your apps.

  • Aperture 2 won't recognize Canon G10 CR2 RAW files

The Canon G10 just came out and I got one!! But Aperture will not recognize the CR2 files that it makes. Any idea how to make this work?

If you can get your hands on a copy of Canon's Digital Photo Professional it may include the proper converters that you can use for now.
For EOS utility to run the camera must be connected and running and I'm not sure the P&S cameras are recognized by that utility.
I'm having trouble with G9 CR2 files on Aperture 2.1.2. When I import them they come in at 1:1 aspect ration meaning the preview is forced to fill the preview screen so all images look a little wide and verticals look really, really stretched out.
When I go in and selected Apple -- Camera Default in the adjustments palettes it pops into the proper 4:3 ratio.
Any way to get that as the default? I've tried selected all and hitting the Camera Default but only one image at a time is updated. Driving me crazy

  • Elements 7 cannot open Canon EOS 600D raw file

I try to open my Canon EOS 600D with Elements 7 and it displays a message "Cannot open [filename] because it is the wrong type of file".  I understand my copy of Elements 7 doesn't has the latest of Camera Raw that supports EOS 600D.  I found an update of Camera Raw 6.4.1 from Adobe that can support EOS 600D but it says it's only for Elements 9 or later.
Is there any way that I can open it in Elements 7?
Any help would be much appreciated, thank you.
    John

You can use the 7.1 DNG Converter to convert your files to DNG copies which will then open in pse 7.

I have loaded the whole program from disc and every time I try to open a raw file, It comes up with a message that I need to update Camera Raw. I have done all the updates and still no luck. I am also using a 5D Mark III. Any suggestions before calling India and trying to decifer the language?

Camera Raw plug-in | Supported cameras
    Camera Raw-compatible Adobe applications
The 5D Mark III was first supported by Adobe Camera Raw 7.1.
CS6 ships with Camera Raw 7.0 but is updateable to 8.5 depending on your operating system.
In Photoshop click Help > About Plug_ins > Camera Raw and see which version you've got installed.

  • ICan I update Lr3 to recognize RAW files from Canon EOS T5?

I just got a Canon EOS Rebel T5 and now I find out that Lightroom 3 doesn't recognize it's CR2 (RAW) files.
The link below states that Lr 5.4 is the minimum Lr version required to read these files.
Camera Raw plug-in | Supported cameras
My question is, is there a way to update my Lr3 settings for free to recognize the T5's CR2 files?
I can't afford to purchase the update for Lr5....
    Thanks!

You need Lightroom 5.4 or later
    OR
you need to download the free Adobe DNG Converter version 5.4 or later, and use that program to convert your RAWs to DNGs and then import the DNGs into Lightroom

  • Bridge won 't recognize nikon d300 raw files

What is it with Adobe?  Every time I attempt to use their product I hit another road block.  First it was using LR and PS on a high resolution screen.  Then I purchased their monthly subscription and got multiple versions of PS, not knowing which is the newest and correct version to use.  Is Photoshop CC or Photoshop CS5 the newest version. Now I can't get Bridge CS5 to recognize my Nikon D300 raw files.  Has Adobe lost it's footing?   I am extemely frustrated with Adobe products and apparently so are thousands, if not million of other customers

    Not possible in CS5

You can use the DNG converter to workaround this problem.

  • Most recent RAW update, New Aperture and Maverick but still Aperture cannot view RAW files from my Sony RX-100 camera.

I have all the most recent Software updates and a brand new version of Aperture but when I connect my Sony RX-100 to my MBP, Aperture cannot view or import the RAW files. It will import JPEG format. I am new to Aperture and would appreciate some advice here. Do I need an old RAW format update or is there something else I need to do here.
    Thanks for any help.

Keith, the latest raw support claims to have fixed issues with the RX-100 raw support:
Digital Camera RAW Compatibility Update 5.03This update adds RAW image compatibility for additional cameras to Aperture 3 and iPhoto '11. Jan 16, 2014
This update adds RAW image compatibility for the following camera to Aperture 3 and iPhoto '11:
    Canon EOS M2
    It also includes fixes that:
Resolve an issue that prevented lens correction from working properly with Sony Cyber-shot DSC-RX100 images
Address a color cast issue on some Olympus OM-D E-M1 images
The RX-100 has been supported since earlier, but the previous raw support has introduced a bug.
    itunesisbullshitplopcrapshould update the raw support.
This requires Aperture 3.5. and Mavericks.
    Correction: This requires
    System Requirements
    OS X 10.8.5 w/ iPhoto 9.4.3 or Aperture 9.4.5
    OS X 10.9 w/ iPhoto 9.4.3 or Aperture 9.4.5

  • Cannot open raw files in LR 3.4

I cannot see or open any raw files.  Mine are NEF files from a D7000.  I was able to open in PS5 but my trial just ran out and can't purchase until next week and I am in a bit of a time crunch.  I do have 64 bit vista and I know there have been issues, but I thought it was fixed with this latest version.  I have downloaded most recent adobe raw updates.  Thank You

Do I understand you correctly that you can import your NEF-files into LR directly from your memory card but not the RAW files that are already on your hard drive?
If this is so then something must have happened to these files. In which format are they? You mentioned that you previously edited them in PS - did you use Photoshop itself or did you use the RAW plug-in that is accessible in Bridge?
If you edited them in PS you could not have saved them in NEF-format. PS cannot save  in true RAW-format. There is a so-called RAW file format in PS but that is not the true RAW format that comes out of your camera and LR cannot read this PS-RAW-format. Which format did you use? LR can only read and open certain file formats - apart from the camera-RAW (like NEF), it reads TIFF, JPG, PSD.
As a beginner in LR you would benefit from watching some of the excellent Adobe tutorials that are available on the Adobe website.

  • Windows cannot recognize iPOD mini

I just bought a new iPOD mini (pink 4Gb), but when I conected the iPOD to my laptop and other desktop, the computer always shows 'cannot recognize the usb device, the divice might be malfunction', so iPOD shown as unknown device in my usb controller, when double click that, shows no driver suitable. I tryied all methods I can find from the website and none can resolve the problem, then I request repair service twice, but still didn't resolve the problem. When conected to computer, baterry shows charging normally, it seems the cable is right, and my computer meet all reqiures. Is anybody meet such questions? Could anyone give me kind help?

Yes, I tried 5Rs, different USBs, different computers, all doesn't work. I saw from one article about the format, then I check mine find the last item in 'setting-about' is 'model', not 'format: windows', so I thought might be because this, I download MacDrive, xPlay, they still doesn't work, then I tried MAC computer, after connected, it didn't show on the desktop, but I check the repair service results, all says found no problem.

  • "USB Device not recognized" -- Computer cannot recognize ipod.

My computer (HP laptop) just, out of nowhere, stoped recognizing my ipod.
The message that comes up is "One of the USB devices attached to this computer has malfunctioned, and Windows cannot recognize it." It comes up as an "Unknown device" instead of a USB Mass Starage Device or an ipod.
The only reason this problem may have occored is because my friend borrowed it and tried to hook it up to her computer, which is Windows Vista. (Mine is Windows XP) I did not know she was going to hook it up to her computer, so I'm not sure what could have happened. Is there any like between hooking an ipod up to Windows Vista and then trying to hook it up to Windows XP?
I've seen that a lot of other people have had this problem too, but I haven't found any solutions yet. I've tried everything in suport--The 5 R's, Changing to disk mode, chicking my USB drives, ect. I realy would rather not take it to an ipod store, because it costs money.
    Any solutions?

I would be interested in any responses to this problem. We have 2 1st generation nanos and last week both of them stopped being recognized by our computer. We also have 2 2nd generation nanos and a 3rd generation nano. The 2nd and 3rd generation nanos are working fine but both of the 1st generation are having the same issue as RachelRocketship's. We have tried the same solutions that she has with no luck.
