LR 3.3 not finding catalogs

I have used LR3.3 for many months, successfully making adjustments and saving files in subfolders as jpegs. After processing photos today, I shut down the LR3.3 and worked in another program unrelated to LR3.3. When I came back to LR3.3 to review the work I did, I received a message that it could not find the catalogs, any catalogs. The catalogs are in the same place on my hard drive; I checked. I even imported a catalog back into LR3.3, but it refuses to recognize any linkage that it previously made. Further, reimporting brought not only the raw data files, but the subfolders with the jpegs, which I did not want. I am missing links to over 4K photos. Help would be appreciated!

I was referring to the catalog folders. LR creates folders for the catalogs,
and if you open one and right click the icon, it will provide an option to
open in LR. It was interesting in that the catalog was renamed and updated
according to LR 3. It may have been a catalog created by LR2 beta.
Nonetheless, I am resigned to the fact that I will not recover them. And as
I need raw photos from my previous photo files, I will import them. All of
the folders and photos I worked on are complete, and I might not have much
use for them anyway. Hopefully, new photos that I import will create
catalogs that will be a bit more reliable.
Thank you for your concern. I think I have resolved the issue in my mind,
but to any one reading this I would suggest that you backup the catalogs
every time LR3 makes the request to do so.

  • Could not find any available Global Catalog in forest when running RemoteMailbox cmdlet

My current Exchange environment is a hybrid configuration of Office 365, Exchange 2013 hybrid, and Exchange 2007 on-premise.
I have a script responsible for enabling remote mailboxes and assigning O365 licenses to a list of users; essentially provisioning users an O365 mailbox. This script runs every hour through a defined scheduled task in the Task Scheduler.
The script is proven to work but will intermittently throw an error on some days: "Could not find any available Global Catalog in forest root.xyz.com"
Here are the nuances of the error when it does occur:
It will only throw the error when the script is run via scheduled task - the script will work fine if executed from the command line
The error occurs when "Enable-RemoteMailbox" or "Get-RemoteMailbox" is called.
The same error will occur with ANY script that calls "Enable-RemoteMailbox" or "Get-RemoteMailbox" and is ran via scheduled task - even when the RemoteMailbox cmdlet was the only line in the script
Here is the output and error when Get-RemoteMailbox -verbose is ran:

looks to me permission error as when you are running it via a schedule task is is not able to call exchange shell/ commands {confirm this} where as when you running this manually looks to me you open exchange shell, may be as admin also and then running
    the script.
schedule task process is not able to get the permission..
MARK AS USEFUL/ANSWER IF IT DID

  • Setup encountered a problem while validating the state of Active Directory: Could not find information about the local site

Have an existing ex2010 sp3 organization.
Could not run ex2013cu1 setup from my newly built 2012 server, getting the error in the subject line.  I used the command line to run the AD preparation steps successfully from my 2012 DC/GC, then tried to run setup again from the new 2012 server and
still get the same error.  The error itself in the log is pretty useless:

Could somebody give me an idea how to create xsds for the elements above and include in the dotnetConfig.xsd.
I understand what needs to be done but not sure of the exact way to do it.
    Thanks,

You don't need to modify the dotnetconfig.xsd.  All you need to do is generate an XSD for your section and let VS know where it is at.
    1) Create your XSD using any of the various tools available or by hand.
    2) Copy your XSD into the <VSDir>\Xml\Schemas directory.
    3) Create a catalog file for your schema.
    4) Restart VS and it'll load the XSD and give you Intellisense.
Here's the MSDN documentation for it: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms255821.aspx

  • PSE 12 organizer not opening catalog

First time opening organizer in PSE 12, just bought and installed.
On Windows 7. Previously had PSE 8. Told it to convert catalog, but every time it opens, it starts doing the face recognition process, and promptly crashes.
Have tried the first few solutions in this thread: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1305821?tstart=0
Stopped at entry #6, as I could not find the folder they were describing. And I am not interesting in downloading sqlite.
    Any solutions to offer now?

Ah, apparently you didn't read through what I said. I tried the first few solutions offered in the previous forum thread that I linked to -- this was one of them. I have that already turned off. When I go into manage catalogs and try to open the converted catalog, it opens it, promptly says it is Restoring People Recognition Data, and about 5% in, it crashes. Same exact point every time. I try to hit cancel to stop it; doesn't work. ALL Media Analysis is turned off. I've also got the Automatically Generate Thumbnails for Video Files turned off.
    Next suggestion?
Could I load in from a backup catalog? I do have my catalog backed up fairly recently.

Replacement System Discs can be obtained from Apple's Customer Support - US (800) 767-2775 for a nominal fee. You'll need to have the model and serial number of your Mac available.

  • I can not find my photos

i can not find my photos

Images and folders are marked with "?" When they are not in the same folder location they were in originally when they were imported into Lightroom. This can happen when images are moved outside of Lightroom. When it happens, right-click on the image or the folder and choose to update the folder location. Then you will be able to indicate to Lightroom where the images have been moved to. If you cannot find those images at all anymore then it would seem that they have been deleted from the catalog and it will be necessary for you to import them again.
I apologize for the delay in answering. I have send you late last night just before shutting down my computer. And this morning I have been out with my camera.

Both AirPrint and the HP AIO Remote app relies on Multicasting, a such have to be supported and enabled by your router.
Some routers support a such by default, some require settings changes and some do not support Multicasting which required for a such.
Please clarify your router brand and model to better understand any possible steps to try.

  • Error when deleting file: Could not find this item. This is no longer located in ...

We are setting up a new Windows 2012 server. Users access this server using a 'terminal services'. We have mapped some folders from a legacy server (different domain). Using group policy preferences, we map this folder as a drive for a user.
When user wants to delete some files, he get's the error: 'Could not find this item ..' The error is displayed to the user and it looks like the file can't be deleted. But when I press the F5 (refresh) button, the file is gone. My problem is very similar
to a problem in the following post: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/windowsserver/en-US/042e747a-0e25-4190-b0a2-82f3e9635eb0/can-not-delete-file-error-is-could-not-find-this-item?forum=w7itprogeneral
When I create 'txt' (or 'pdf', 'zip') file, i can delete it without the error. When I create 'xlsx', 'docx', 'pptx', 'bmp', 'jpg', I get the error.
Does somebody have an idea, how can I fix the cause of this problem? (I can't tell to users to hit the F5 button everytime when they face this issue)
Thank you for your help in advance!

    Hi,
Please check if the problematic files’ filename ended with a dot. If so, you could refer to the article below to troubleshoot the issue:
