I don't know if anybody responsible will read this, I could not find any way to email the webmasters.
The download link for Lighroom 3.4 RC for Mac is wrong. it points tho the Windows zip.

That looks to me like you may have your site definition set up incorrectly and you appear to be using "Site Root Relative" vs "Document Relative"
Go to Site > Manage Sites > click the site you are working on > Click the Edit icon > Advanced Settings > Links relative to: should be set as Document, unless you have a very specific reason for choosing Site Root there
If your server root folder is called www, you'll need to remove that folder from your site root. You are only transferring files from root to root, so the name of your local root folder is not important (the files inside it go to the server root). It is important not to accidentally have a duplicate of the server root folder inside your local root though which would accidentally nest your files within another folder when transferring to the server.

Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
    •    Launch Settings app
    •    Tap on Wi-Fi
    •    Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list
    •    In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.

When I convert a doc with hyperlinks into a PDF on a Mac links in the PDF don't work

Hey guys, please advise how to make a PDF on a Mac so that hyperlinks from the original file remain active and working in the PDF document? The links which look like a web address (http://www....) are converted correctly and open fine, but when a hyperlink is tied up to some piece of text (e.g., Watch on Youtube - and you can click on this phrase and the video opens) this link in a PDF file does not work, although it does in the original Word/PPT document.
When I make a PDF on a PC everything's fine: I can click on a link in the PDF and the website opens. But when I make the same operation on a Mac the links do not work...

There have been some methods posted by MAC users to address this issue. The MAC does not have the PDF Maker option that is available for the PC and so extra steps are needed. Sorry, but I do not know the process but would just suggest that you search the forum.

URL links wrongly created for adjucent characters

The URL links are wrongly created for the following characters after the URL like “)”, “]” etc.
For E.g. (www.adobe.com), the URL links for adobe is in active for closing parenthesis in PDF which should not have a URL link.
Any one suggests what would be problem and how to avoid this?
We are using Acrobat Pro 8.

I'm looking for a direct link to download Acrobat Pro 9 for Mac.
I've purchased a new laptop and I have no disks for the software since I purchased only a code. According to the forums a download link should show up under "my orders", but this is not the case. I've also tried most google links available (usually windows vrs) and read every related post on this forum I could find. Adobe support won't let me chat with them to get a link without purchasing a support contract - just to download my own software.

WLAN Controller learning IP/MAC on wrong virtual interface

I believe since I upgraded my WiSM to 7.0.250.0 is it learning a MAC address on the wrong virtual interface.
The setup:
- a Linux server with 2 virtual interfaces, both use the same MAC address, one is the gateway of VLAN 116 and one is the gateway of VLAN 240
- a WiSM with several virtual interfaces, including one in 116 and one in 240
Here the arp table with the problem:

Has anybody else the same problem?
The host 172.16.116.9 is also the configured DHCP server on VLAN 116.
Is there a way to statically configure this IP address on that VLAN? Because it causes every few days a service outage on that VLAN (which is bound to an SSID).

Yup, I'd say still valid. Seeing as it is the gateway, if it had different mac addresses per interface, it might still work.
No, clients in the same subnet can communicate, but it is not recommended to 'bridge' wired and wireless with a WLC. The WLC doesn't like to bridge the communication by default, though there are work arounds.
I might also say that as it uses the same MAC address for both virtual interfaces L2 is going to be messed up as each time there were an ARP the entry would change.
Take a look and see if you can manually change the mac for one of the interfaces and test again.

CS3 MAC: Linking with Xerces: 2000 warnings

I have now another problem. I am linking my plugin with my selfbuild static Xerces library.
I get 2000 warning messages from the linker. They sound all the same. Example:

Mac Mail Wrong Display Name

My Mac mail app for my icloud account has the wrong display name for the account. About three years ago, I bought my mac on the company credit card, and had to use our accounting director's name for the billing address. (We'll call him Richard Nicks). Three years later, I open Mac mail and HIS name is the display name for my icloud email!
Of course it's grayed out, so I have to change it in the icloud account. But when I go log into icloud, his name does not show up anywhere. I've confirmed the email addresses are all the same so I know I don't have multiple accounts or anything. I've closed mail, resynchronized it, rebuilt the database, no joy. Where in the world is it getting his name from and how can I change that?

In Account Preferences, the name and email address are grayed out so I cannot change those.
I looked in my contacts, go under All iCloud, and there's only one contact. The picture is of a piano that says Me, so I assume that is my Me card. This has my correct name.
Interesting to note, when I send an email from iCloud on my iPhone, it comes across with the correct display name.
I'm at a loss on where else to check. Thanks for the help!

Cs4 Mac : linking to open external .app files, help needed!

I have completed a CDROM for pc users for a client.
The CDROM contains 15 quizzes in exe format.
A 'portal' file links to each of these quizzes, so the user returns, having opened and completed the (.exe) quiz file, to the portal and takes another quiz.
the code to open these 15 quiz files

This opens the bat file, which opens the exe

However, my client wants a mac version,
I cant find a way to link to the macintosh projector file within the portal file.
fscomand doesnt work, geturl doesnt work.. any help really would be appreciated.

I don’t know how .Mac Backup works, so all I can say is which are the files & folders you need to restore from the backup (assuming you did actually back up them, that is).
Mail stores most preferences and all account settings in ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.mail.plist (except the passwords, which are stored in the keychain). Everything else, including all your messages and mailboxes, is stored in ~/Library/Mail/.
Similarly, Address Book (whose data you should back up as well) stores the settings in ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.AddressBook.plist and the data in ~/Library/Application Support/AddresBook/.
Other applications store preferences and data in other places. You may want to ask in the appropriate forums for more information on those.

Note: For those not familiarized with the ~/ notation, it refers to the user's home folder, i.e. ~/Library is the Library folder within the user's home folder.

Mac shows wrong storage information

Hi,
My macbook shows incorrect storage information, which is inconsistent with the available storage space.
The storage maps shows that:
App 119G with 179G free from 250 G
Which does not added up correctly.
I have tried to use disk repair in recovery mode but the storage is still wrong.
I'm using 10.10.1 OS X yosemite on my macbook
I do not use time machine.
Is there any way to solve this issue?

Can't connect MacBook to Mac Pro (wrong icon!)

Hi there,
i'm having some problem when trin to connect my MacBook 13" (Aluminium - Snow Leopard) to my Mac Pro (3,1 - Snow Leopard).
Mac Pro icon is shown in the finder left column but it shows the Windows PC icon instead of the right one (had this problem even before Snow Leopard).
When trin to connect to server from Finder this is the message:
"The server may not exist or it is not operational at
this time. Check the server name or IP address and
your network connection and try again."

To have your Mac adjust settings automatically, a display must answer with its name and capabilities when the Mac sends a query. The Mac sends such queries:
• at Startup,
• when you click the ( Detect Displays ) button [ try holding down Alt/Option key while viewing System Preferences > Displays] or
• when your Mac awakes from sleep.
So first set your display to the appropriate port. Next try a Restart, or Sleep and wake your Mac, or use the ( Detect Displays ) button.
