LR 5 does not install from my Creative Cloud

LR 5 does not install from Creative Cloud but gives an error message "there were errors during installation (7). I am able to installa the trial version though even during this installation the updating LR 4 cataloque into LR 5 cataloque ended with an error message. Hoever the cataloque was OK in LR 5. The only problem was that aI could not licence the software into Creative Cloud. Still the Creative Cloud recognized the LR 5 and said the installation was OK. However I always had to check the "continue the trial box when starting LR 5. I removed the trial and tried to reinstalla LR five from Creative Cloud with the same result.

I have had a chat with Adobe Technical Support and found a solution.
Log out of Adobe Cloud
In Windows use the Run command to run %temp%
This will open the Windows temporary folder
Delete all the files and folders in the temporary folder - there may be some foles/folders that can't be deleted but dont worry about those
Sign back into the Adobe Cloud
Install Lightroom  and wait for the installation to fail
Use the Run command to run %temp%
There will be a series of folders with filenames like {3F3A6C01-A6FA-4261-BD77-B128A5668697}
Look through these folders until you find one that contains Lightroom Install file
Run the installation file and the program should install manually
Once completed you should be able to run Lightroom 5
Logout and then login into Adobe Cloud - Lightroom should appear as installed.
My Ligtroom is now working and I hope this works for you.

  • "Try" not "Install" on my Creative Cloud panel even though I'm a CC subscriber

    Why can I only "Try" Audition CC, and After Effects, and Illustrator CC, from my Creative Cloud Panel, when I'm signed in, yet I can "install" other available apps?
    When I go via the Adobe Download Center web page, it gives me the option to 'Download", then appears as installed in my CC panel.
    Is there a limit on the number of Apps you can have installed on a computer with a CC subscription?
    Does the "Try" option give you a 60 day trial period?
    I was under the impression that a Creative Cloud subscription allowed me access to any Adobe Product...
    I really need access to a wide range of many of the Adobe Apps, not for a trial period. which is why I chose the Creative Cloud monthly subscription.

    Bexigallio if you are still receiving the option to Try instead of Install then it is likely your computer is unable to contact our activation server.  Are you on a managed network?  If not then please see Sign in, activation, or connection errors | CC, CS6, CS5.5 - http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/activation-network-issues.html for several common solutions to resolve your current difficulties contacting the activation server.

  • Why does Lightroom disappear from the Creative Cloud manager?

    Today may be a special case.  Now I have "Photoshop CS6", "Photoshop CC", and "Photoshop CC (2014)" on my list of apps.  But Lightroom appears on the list of "try/install" as "try", even though I am paying for the Photoshop/Lightroom combination.
    In weeks past, Lightroom would disappear from the installed list, and would not be anywhere on the list.  I would have to quit the CC manager and restart it to have it rediscover my apps.  No other application ever does this, just Lightroom.

  • Psd file does not show preview in Creative Cloud Assets Activity Tab

    I've tried to share a psd file however the preview will not show up in creative cloud assets under the activity tab. It only shows a blank page icon. Although, you can view the file in the extract tab. However, this is a problem because I need to be able to share the file with the client to be able to view and comment on it, and be able to switch between past and current versions. Right now they are not able to do that.  I am using Libraries as well and have smart objects placed from my Library.

  • Premiere Pro Not Installing Even Though Creative Cloud States Installed

    I'm currently unable to install Adobe Premiere Pro, I've installed it via Creative Cloud and it states its installed but nothing is located on my Windows 7 machine. I have attached two pictures of it saying installed and when I want to remove it the file size is 2.8MB, is there a way to resolve this issue at all?

  • OS X Mavericks does not install from app store, keeps failing

    Got ready to download the OS x Mavericks today from the app store.
    Clicked on install, entered my Apple ID, Starting downloading and boom, just hangs half way through, wont restart the download, have to keep logging off and back in to allow the app store to let me download it again. No other updates in the queue waiting to update, all i just wanna do is install Mavericks thats it. Please tell me how i can manually download this and make sure it completes and then install it offline if possible?

    There is nowhere other than the App Store to download it from. You may find other sites offering it online, but if you do, those sites are distributing it illegally and you should not trust those copies.
    As to the problem, it's possible that this is an issue with your network. Try downloading on another network. Also, disable any anti-virus software, or any other kind of internet filtering/blocking software.

    The thread mentions how to fix the issue for Pixie, but I don't know how to replicate the solution for player. The offending lines are:
    668        ret = gzseek(this->file,0,SEEK_SET);
    and

    can anyone help?

    UPDATE: after visiting the zlib webpage I tried a different tack: downgrading zlib from 1.2.6 to 1.2.5. PLayer now compiles, but it fails at the linking stage with:
    /usr/lib/libxine.so.2: undefined reference to `gzgetc_@ZLIB_1.2.5.2'

  • The app panel does not load in the Creative Cloud Desktop application

    I am having the same problem with illustrator.. Don't want to waste my money on something that doesn't work.

    Nope no error message, nothing at all.When I click to download the trial I am prompted to sign in and my download will begin.I sign in, the next page loads stating that Adobe Illustrator is downloading but nothing happens. No download begins anywhere.My CC app opens to the apps window and the loading circle just spins and spins to no avail. Nothing else happens at all. I have tried to uninstall and reinstall the CC app. Emptied the Cache... etc. etc. I have downloaded firefox and tried it as well. I am using a Mac OS X Yosemite... I recently upgraded hoping that would maybe help as I had the same problem before I upgraded to Yosemite.

    Do you have a 64-bit machine?  Normally the listing will only include programs that your machine is capable of running.  Check your machine capabilities against the requirements for Premiere Pro and see if it comes up short.

    You are doing 2 things wrong:
    1. you are trying to run EXE file(installer) on MAC
    2. You are trying to run a very old application on latest configuration which is not compatible and may not fulfill the appropriate requirement.

    You are in Windows; you already have inserted your OS X DVD and run SETUP and installled Boot Camp 3.0.x (shows in Windows control panel: Programs and Features.
    Start => Apple Software Update (also in Windows) will download and install updates as well.
