  • Photoshop CS4 upgrade and Photographers offer

I want to take advantage of the photographers offer but realise I only have a Photoshop CS4 upgrade serial number having previously upgraded from CS.  Will this be sufficient to access the offer?

    Hi GrahamC16,
I did check almost all the relevan documents, there were no special reference about the Upgrade product serial number.
    http://www.adobe.com/products/creativecloud/buying-guide.html
    http://www.adobe.com/products/creativecloud/faq.html#pslr-bundle.
The best option will be proceed for purchase & check the eligibility . I have checked GrahamC16 email ID & found that he has already spoken with our chat support & have got almost similar response.

  • CC for Photographers, what to do with CS6

    Hi all,
I was a user of Photoshop CS6 but decided to subscribe to the CC for Photographers offer last year.  The offer required ownership of a previous CS package so I was fine.  However, now I'm using Photoshop CC and Lightroom I have no use for CS6.
I could sell on CS6 and transfer my ownership of it but would this prevent me from continuing my current subscription into a second year?  It seems a waste to have it hanging around if I'm not using it and Adobe no longer require to see it for the subscription.
    Thanks

Welcome to the club. We all have these old versions lying around.
You can't legally sell it if your current license is in any way tied to it.

  • Cross Platform from Photoshop CS4 to Photoshop CC offer

Is it possible to use an existing Photoshop CS4 serial number (Windows Platform) to take advantage of the Photographers offer currently available AND at the same time move to Mac software.  I have an old verson of photoshop but since then I have moved across to using Mac computers.

    What Mylenium said.
The Windows only or Mac only serial number distinction is a thing of the past with Cloud software.
Cloud apps are activated via your Adobe ID (no serial number required) so as a Cloud member, all your software can be installed and used on Mac/Mac or Mac/Win or Win/Win at any time.

  • Aperture 3 Bulk process workflow

I'm having a work-flow issue in aperture 3 that I hope you can suggest a
    way out of.
    My typical workflow:
    1)import
    2)Stack similar images
    3)Pick favorite from each stack
    4)Process pick from each stack.
That all works great. But now I want to create alternate versions of
each of my processed picks. For instance, I want to offer my "client"
B&W versions of each, extra saturated versions of each, desaturated
versions of each, etc. On a one by one basis this is very easy. But
I'm looking for a to do it in bulk. I'm not looking to put a lot of
energy into these extra versions, since they are sort of bonus
    versions anyway.
    Some approaches that haven't worked...
    1) Create another album, (say called B&W) and drag all my picks into
that. Apply adjustments to all. Problem: modifies the same versions
that appear in the original project too
    2) Export picks. Apply B&W to all. Export B&W picks. Undo apply of B&W
to all. Repeat for each kind of modification I want (desaturated,
etc). Problem: Inelegant, don't get to keep the modified versions.
3)Select all the picks, duplicate version. Apply adjustments. Now I
have both the pick version and the B&W version, as I wanted. Problem:
Now the top of each stack is the alternate B&W version, not the
    original pick.
What am I missing? I know lots of photographers offer clients a disk
with their pick images, plus folders of B&W, sepia, etc. How would one
    do that in Aperture 3?
Thanks in advance for your help.

  • Changing Creative Cloud Membership to Photography-only option

    Hi,
I noticed that Adobe is about to offer a Photography-only option for $9.99/month.  I recently renewed my CC membership to the full price ($49.99/mth) but only need Photoshop and Lightroom.  Can I change my CC membership to be just the Photography option?

my customer services chat - very helpful (especially around cancellation fees) ......
Devika: Hello! Welcome to Adobe Customer Service.
    Devika: Hi Richard.
Richard Harris: Hi looking to change from full CC membership to photog package deal...
Richard Harris: What do I need to do?.... Forums say it's possible.... but need to go via customer services
Devika: I understand that, you want to migrate from full CC membership to photographers offer.
    Richard Harris: Yes please!
Devika: I will be glad to check and help you with this.
    Richard Harris: Thx
Devika: I am sorry to tell you this it is not possible to switch from CC to photograph offer.
Richard Harris: Hmmm, that's not what Adobe staff are saying on the forums?!.....
    Richard Harris:http://forums.adobe.com/message/5693116
Richard Harris: I have PS Cs4
Devika: I checked your account and I see that you have purchased Creative Cloud membership one-year.
Devika: Well, you can go ahead and purchase the Photoshop subscription and cancel the creative cloud.
Richard Harris: With the 50% early fee - or is that waived if people sign 12/12 to the photography plan? (Forums are silent on this latter point)
Devika: Well, if you purchase the new subscription and cancel the creative cloud, we can waive off the cancellation fees.
Richard Harris: OK ideal - then that's what I'll do thx. It's a great offer for photogs, Adobe should get a lot of people signing up I reckon. Will everything happen automatically? Do I just sign-up and buy new plan, then cancel current full CC? (Have just paid this month so would like to see that out if poss....)
    Devika: Yes, you are correct.
Richard Harris: Great thx for your help - have a nice day!

  • More info re "Time Limited Offer for Photographers", please

    I'm considering this PS/Lightroom package at £8.78/month.
    (1) If I start with the free 30-day trials and decide to stop, will I immediately be able to use the Elements 10 PS/Premiere/Organiser I have without any problems - e.g. no need to re-install?
    (2) If I go ahead, what are the costs after the initial 12 months?
(And why does Adobe not have any info on this on the offer page and why do they have no direct Contact route, rather than going through a User Forum?)
    Thanks in advance.

Sorry, I forgot to respond about the pricing.
My experience is that I ordered the Photographers Plan a little over a year ago, close to when it first became available, for $10/month (US) and the price remained the same to start the second year of subscription a couple months ago.
So my opinion is that the first year at $10/month isn't some sort of special price that doubles back up to the regular single-app price of $20/month (US) after the first year expires.
No business can promise their price will never go up for an indefinite period of time, but right now they want to keep their Cloud-Subscriptions graph going up and up so are unlikely to raise it, especially precipitously.  If Adobe did say something specific about their pricing before actually increasing their price, stock analysts could draw positive or negative conclusions about either the current or future health of the company, so Adobe chooses to be vague on this subject.

  • Is the Photographers CC Offer valid in all countries?

Is the Photoshop / Lightroom for Photographers CC Offer valid in all countries?
When friends of mine in South Africa tried to subscribe to CC, they were told by Adobe's Customer Service that the offer was not available in their country.

    Steve and Bev:
Thank you both for your very swift and efficient response to this issue.
I am sure that many South Africans will be very happy with this news.

  • Is lightroom CC included in the adobe creative cloud photographers package monthly subscription?

Is Lightroom CC included in the adobe creative cloud photographers package monthly subscription?

There is no Adobe Story Premium, it is Adobe Story Plus that is included with the Creative Cloud paid subscription.
From the Adobe Story FAQ here http://www.adobe.com/products/story-plus/faq.html
What versions of Adobe Story are available and how do they differ?
Adobe Story is available in two versions, each of which offers advantages over other scriptwriting software:
    • Adobe Story Free is professional screenwriting software available free on Adobe.com, providing standard writing tools that automatically format your script as you type. Write for various types of projects using customizable script templates and multicolumn scripts. Import scripts written in Final Draft, Movie Magic Screenwriter, and Microsoft Word. Access your projects anywhere you have an Internet connection.
    • Adobe Story Plus is a complete, collaborative scheduling and preproduction solution. Stay on time and on budget with additional features not available in Adobe Story Free. Generate up-to-date schedules and production reports from script metadata, including tags created automatically or manually. Work on your projects online as well as offline by using the Adobe Story Plus desktop application. Stay in sync with your team using collaboration features such as Share Projects.

  • How to improve AP2.0 Web Gallery Quality/Functionality for photographers

    Hi,
    I'm a pro photographer.
I thought AP2.0 plus a (dot)mac account would offer an easy way for my clients to proof images in password protected web galleries and to download images as well. The resulting functionality is poor in my opinion. Is there anything I can do within Aperture or (dot)mac to improve the following problems?
    1) Why is the image quality of the web gallery slide show so poor? No sensible client would accept looking at proof images of this low quality. Even flickr is better.
    2) Why is there only one download file size, i.e. the original size? In other words, the original file is almost always too large for most web client purchases. Why can't the client choose a smaller version. Even flickr is better, offering several download sizes all based on the original upload.
    3) Since the export functionality within Aperture allows for numerous choices of dpi and pixel ratio to export images, why is this same functionality not there for publishing web galleries?
It seems obvious that photographers would want to publish web galleries with exactly the same control that we can export images to disk or flickr. Even within the Apple Mail application we have choices of quality and pixel dimension for the attachments.
What am I missing? Please help.

When you create a Web Gallery in AP2, there is a set up prefernce to let viewers download an Optimized, Actual Size or Optimized and Master Image. (You can only pick one per gallery it seems.)
However, I think the gallery design is rather clunky, too many design options are left open to the viewer, and not the photgrapher. I prefer the web pages and web journals for customer proofing using the image number. They email me their choices, and then using Aperture, I can order prints based on their selection. Not the simplist way, but I would not want clients downloading my images, anyway, as you suggest. Why would they buy a print if they can just download a jpg themselves?

  • Photographers Package in UK

How do I purchase the 'Photographers Package' for $9.99 in the UK?

Provided you're eligible* to join then go to the Adobe website and sign up online
    https://creative.adobe.com/plans/offer/photoshop+lightroom?sdid=KIHZP
    * you must already own a full retail standalone (not part of a suite) version of Photoshop CS3 or later version
    * Suites, Educational versions & Volume Licenses do not qualify
    * Owners of Lightroom only do not qualify
    http://www.adobe.com/products/creativecloud/faq.html#pslr-bundle
Edit: does your question relate to the signing up process?
or does it relate to getting the US$9.99/month deal in the UK - rather than paying £8.78/month in UK currency?

  • Photographers plan and selling images created from them

I have been searching some time now to find an answer but I can't find anything conclusive,
In our country (the netherlands) you can have a 'company' as a person (The person is the company and the company is the person, no difference at all only an added company name to your entity but non the less privately liable etc.), for this, the bussiness plans offered by Adobe may be a bit too much if you only need Photoshop. In my case the CC Photographers plan looks very nice and useful. Because you have a company with only an owner in it and no other staff, it seems that the Photographers plan seems compatible due to the one license per person (individual). But now comes the tricky part:
In the EULA it states that Service Bureaus can't use the software commercially. This is a bit unclear to me, because in the Netherlands every company that provides a service (taking photos and sell them, creating designs for websites or other media) is being considered as a service bureau/company.
So I have a few questions and I hope a staff member will answer this question as I have seen some answers on the forum but by other users (they do not know for sure) it is just as a gamble as not asking this question at all.
Can I use the photographers plan, in the Netherlands, and sell everything I create from it or use that I create from it in other commercial product such as websites, mobile apps and games?
What exactly is the definition of a servicebureau according to Adobe as described in the EULA's?
I hope you guys can answer this for me because I really want to use Adobe Photoshop in my workflow but I do not want any issues or problems later.
    With kind regards,

  • Sony, please offer lossless RAW on A7RII and other cameras...

This shortcoming has been well documented in dozens of places, including a thread posted in this very forum. Yet the A7RII has been announced with killer specs across the board, hampered by the same poor lossy RAW compression, which makes pushing images to any degree in postprocessing a headache. This shortcoming will prevent me, and hundreds or thousands of other pro and serious amateur photographers, from buying this camera.  Google it, Sony--it's discussed by hundreds of people on dozens of forums. It's well past time to offer lossless RAW.

    Hi spencernb,
    Welcome to the Sony Community!
Thanks for the show of interest on the A7 series. We will forward you request to the engineering department for future product developments and improvements.  To keep updated on the news and alerts about our products, kindly visit esupport.sony.com.
If my post answers your question, please mark it as "Accept as Solution". Thanks_Mitch

  • Photographers Package - Future Pricing Strategy?

If you sign up for the Photoshop CC/Lightroom Package for the initially reasonable figure of £8.57 per month, what is likleyhood of this being subject to unreasonable price rises in the future?
I suggest that this is one reason for the reluctance of many potential subscribers to take this option.
At least when you bought the Licence for (say) CS3/CS4 etc you essentially 'had' the product, albeit being quite expensive.
I currently do have CS6 and Lightroom 5, which does raise another issue, common with other Photographers - I do not really need the Lightroom cpmpnent of the 'Photographers Package' but the Photoshop CC only option is more expensive!!!!
    Regards
    Geoffrey

Whenever this question has arisen in the past, the response given is always that it's unlikely and it hasn't happened yet.
Yes, the possibility is there but there will be a mass exodus and much poor PR if Adobe does anything silly. Everyone can cancel their plans when they expire - and they will if there's a radical pricing change. Adobe is keenly aware of that.
I don't have anything more substantial to offer.
If you want insurance, purchase a perpetually licensed (non-Cloud) copy of LR5 and PS CS6 (or a suite) so you can always edit your work even if you cancel your plan.
I currently do have CS6 and Lightroom 5, which does raise another issue, common with other Photographers - I do not really need the Lightroom cpmpnent of the 'Photographers Package' but the Photoshop CC only option is more expensive!!!!
Fair observation although the Single App Photoshop only plan came first and that pricing is consistent with all the other Single App plans for Illustrator etc.
Adobe really, really wants photographers to adopt a PS+LR workflow so they came up with the compelling $10/month deal. There's nothing saying you must use LR even if you sign up for PS+LR.
