LR 5 Raw images and some jpegs not showing even after Sync.

I have LR 5 (latest update). When I was trying to edit a photo from 12/2013 I noticed that only the jpeg images were previewing. I ran a sync of the folder which showed no files to import. The files are there; I've used them, I can see them. Looks like it's all the files in folder 2013 pics, but not 2014 pics. Any ideas on how to fix? Thanks!

I'm sorry. I probably wasn't clear enough in my response. What I am saying is that one can create mailboxes in the Mac mail app and those mailboxes can be for local storage only - the "on my Mac" mailboxes. Those do sync to any other device. The ability to creat those mailboxes is a feature of the Mac mail app.
You cannot create additional mailboxes on the iPad unless your email account is an IMAP account. I am not familiar with BT internet at all so I don't know if you have IMAP or not. I assume that your husband has the same email provider and if his mailboxes did sync to the iPad, then yours should as well.
You can check to be sure if you don't know if your email account is an IMAP account. If you go to your email account in the iPad Mail app and look at the window where your inbox, trash folder and sent folder are - if there is an Edit button at the top of the window - tap that and then tap Add Mailbox at the bottom. If an new mailbox appears, you have IMAP.
If the Edit button is not there - you cannot create folders on the iPad. Your email account is not IMAP. Only IMAP email accounts can create folders on the iPad. Any folders that you would already have in an IMAP account would sync to the device as well.

Images and titles are not showing up

I took a screen shot of it, but when I load tumblr and reddit specifically, but there are other pages, smaller images and title do not show up. I tried the trouble shooting, and the reset, and looked at extensions. Nothing worked, I still have the problem.
When I use tumblr, and click on the number of likes/reshares and it opens the list below the pictures, all I see is small icons instead of showing me the names of who did what.
On reddit, the top tabs (new, hot, etc) aren't showing up.

Could you specify the Mac OS X version and also what computer you
are using it on, with some detail? Some of these kinds of issues, while
they may seem the same across various years of OS X, can have
different causes and also different cures.
With that information, someone may be capable of researching a reply
most suited to try & see if it works in your computer + OS X system.
One idea, which may/may not help, would be to start the computer
from its most recent OS X DVD install disc, unless it has OS X 10.7
or Later, where there is a Recovery partition on the HDD to boot from.
Then use Disk Utility> repair disk, while there, also repair permissions.

Creating a pdf from a word doc and the image and footer will not show

I am trying to create a pdf from a word doc that has an image and footer. Neither will show in the pdf. Also getting this message "Adobe Acrobat Updater has not been able to check for updates recently. Check online to see if solutions are available from the Adobe website." My Cloud says it is updated.

What was the Original?
If it was from Word, chances are the top and bottom Margins were set too narrow. (should not be less than .5 inches even more safety 1" would be better). As for graphics. Check in Word preferences (may be called different in a windows machine) make sure in view and Print settings "Graphics" is checked (show Graphics and Print Graphics).

Images and graphics are not showing in certain emails when using Firefox. They show in Google Chrome.

Certain emails from f.chtah.com(image info) are not showing graphic or image content. This happens in both gmail and hotmail. If opened in Google Chrome, they show up.
I had my computer wiped clean last week and everything was showing up ok again until this morning. The same emails are having the problem that was going on for the previous month.
I make sure that all updates are installed.

I figured it out. Clear your cookies. The company that hosts the images and the stylesheets updated their domain name- i figured this out in Chrome, it was showing a different URL for the css- http://ebm.cheetahmail.com
After all the cookies (Privacy Tab in preferences) and reloading the pages the images and stylesheets started working again.
I hope this helps other folks.

Accidentally deleted x protect meta.plist and plug in not working even after downloading latest

Hi all
Need some help here. It started off like this - after upgrading to mavericks, i had a problem viewing some java stuff. Googled and read somewhere to delete the x protect meta.plist and thus, did so. After doing that, my youtube videos etc all couldnt work. So googled again and did whatever the rest suggested - download latest version of Java, uninstall java and reinstall again, install other versions of java etc etc. all didnt worked.
Someone just pointed out that I had deleted a very critical security file (x protect meta.plist) and might have more problems that I thought on my hand.
Im not very technical or IT saavy, so please kindly advise. Most of the problems surfaced after deleting that file. And right now, plug in for videos are still not working even though I have attempted various 'solutions' suggested in this forum (the not too technical ones) and java is still cranky. Pls advise. thanks!

- Tried uninstalling and then reinstalled earlier versions of java - doesnt work too
read somewhere to delete the xprotect meta plist - realised much later that piece of advice was for snow leopard OS and thus, did not work too. A forummer told me today this file is a critical security file and i should not have deleted it. WHat can I do now?

Comments in adobe reader not showing even after saving...

We are using Adobe Reader X and have been emailed a document to comment on. We've used strikeout and replace, sticky notes and additional text commentary.
We've been saving the document as we went along in a folder that we had access to (not the email temp folder) and when we closed the document and re-opened, none of the comments were showing at all.
We then tried adding one comment, saving as a different file name, reopened and still nothing showing. We have als tried opening the same file in Acrobat - again nothing showing.
At one point we added a comment box, saved it, reopened it and the comment box showed (fantastic - we thought).. so we added another.. closed and reopened and now only the first one shows and nothing else.
This is becoming a little bit of a brain teaser and a bit frustrating as we fear we've lost all previous comments.
Can you help?

What happens now when you click the link or button to print checks? Does Firefox's PDF viewer come up or nothing happens at all?
If you need to completely disable the viewer, there is a hidden preference you can change.
(1) In a new tab, type or paste '''about:config''' in the address bar and press Enter. Click the button promising to be careful.
(2) In the filter box, type or paste '''pdfjs''' and pause while the list is filtered
(3) Double-click '''pdfjs.disabled''' to toggle its value to true.
If you test in your original tab, does that make any difference?

Music not showing up after syncing in ipod

I have synced my Ipod with my itunes account and it shows that is syncing and also uses up the space in the Nano however the music does not show up on the ipod. I have gone back to the apple store and gotten a new ipod and the same thing is happening.

Login action buttons no longer work and some pages not displaying correctly after upgrade.

After recent update, some web pages not displaying correctly and Login buttons on some sites do not work. I've updated my plugins and restarted computer, but problems remains. Is this Java, Javascript or something else? Same pages are working fine in IE.

I bought a movie on itunes and it will not play even after re-downloading it.

I bought a movie on itunes, it would not play. I contacted apple support people, and they told me to delete and re download it, I did that and it still will not play, I don't know if I'm doing something wrong or if my itunes isn't up to date, or maybe it's because I'm not trying to play it on an apple device. Whatever the case me be, I just really want to watch this movie, or get a refund.

You should be able to play films on windows computers, if it wasn't compatible with it (e.g. you should have got an error if you tried to buy an HD film on non-HD compatible computer).
The current version of iTunes is 11.4 - you can see if there are any updates available via the Help > Check For Updates menu option.

What happens when you try to play the film, and do other videos that you have in your iTunes play ok ?

Hp photosmart 3210 all-in-one - some colors not printing even after changing cartridges.

I recently had an issue while printing a document. the content was off colored and the error message said black was low. Changed the black cartridge and things just got worse from there. Still no black, cleaned the printheads, printed another test page and no longer had magenta or lt magenta. Replaced those as well. the only had yellow, magenta and lt. magenta. yellow was low as well, so now every cartridge has been changes.Tried to print document again and it printed in magenta and lt magenta. never have seen black again and the self test diagnostic page is printing in purple. What should be black showed up as purple with lines and yellow is a rainbow of mustard, magentas and purples. no other colors show up. WHAT IS GOING ON? have tried several times to align the printer but it always fails. Have cleaned the printheads several time and just get a mish-mash of colors (no black) and most of the time no writing. When I try to print in black only, I get nothing.
What can I do? It worked just fine prior to ink going out.

Did you get a resolution to your problem? The same has occured for me - only printing blues/yellows and greens. Was working fine until I replace the yellow cartridge and then it stopped printing reds.

TS4062 iPod Touch not showing content after sync

iTunes says it is transferring over podcasts, but the latest podcasts don't show up on my iTouch. This just started this past week, and my iTouch is not full. I saw there was an operating system update yesterday (7.1.1), so I did that, hoping that would help, but no such luck. iTunes told me it was transferring another podcast over this morning, but still nothing new is showing up in my podcast area on my iTouch.

I am having a similar issue. I have a 1st-generation iPod touch, and a MacBook running Snow Leopard (OS 10.6.3) and iTunes 9.1.1. It's a bit old now and the WiFi isn't very good, but my iPod touch still works perfectly, except that it doesn't show up in iTunes, which I discovered yesterday when I tried to sync some new music. I got my iTouch G1 the first week they came out and it worked perfectly with my iBook G4 running Tiger, and also worked perfectly with my new MacBook running Leopard which replaced the iBook when its logic board bit the dust. I recently updated to Snow Leopard (about a month ago now), and now my iTouch doesn't show up in my iTunes sidebar, but a volume shows up in Disk Utility that could only be this iPod and things do happen when I plug in the iPod (the first time I connected it since I added some Snow to my Leopard, iPhoto opened and prompted a download of a screenshot I'd taken with the iPod). I'm mostly writing this right now because the support page pertinent to this issue is down due to some sort of Apple web maintenance and I'm tired of getting the same error message. I actually have everything on my Mac backed up, and when I installed Snow Leopard I just did a basic installation but have been thinking of going back and doing a clean wipe and install and then getting the iTunes and iPhoto libraries et cetera off of my external HD. Would this fix my problem? I figure that since my iPod touch's files and system have been constant throughout this, it must be some issue with Snow Leopard, however before I wipe everything and have to set my system up again from scratch, I would like to know if this problem would be fixed by doing that or if there is some problem inherent in Snow Leopard that needs to be manually fixed.

Sms not showing even after ios8.1 update

I been having problem as sms keep disappearing. Always need to restart iphone 6 to show back my sms. I cant reset phone as new as alot of my sms are very important. Please resolve this issue asap.

Everything is turn on (Unless you have the proper guide)
The problem is after restarting all my sms will show. But after i start using other apps on the phone and or after received sms. The rest of the sms just cannot be found (not always but happen frequently). Always gotta reboot.
I had even went to the svc centre located at plaza singapura last week and ask the staff. She ran a check and told me is a common problem (apple is aware) and the next ios update will resolve the issue as i told her i cant erase all contents for my phone and set as a new phone. She did a check and told me that my sms apps keep crashing.
I updated my iphone6+ to ios 8.1 and my sms still disappearing this morning. This is really annoying as i need to restart or reboot my iphone 6+ afew time every single day.
