Lr/ACR edits missing when opening dng to Ps

hello,
I´m using latest CC versions from Lightroom and Photoshop. Recently I have been having these issues with Photoshop opening file which don´t show basic edits done in Lr or ACR. Ps opens an original file.
I have also Nik plugins, could that be an explanation for this? On the other hand, I have had those plugins over a year and this missing edits issue came out just couple of days ago. I´m using .dng files and I´m opening file from Lightroom to Ps by "edit in photoshop" command.
I have reseted Ps and from Lr preferences "reset all warnings" has been done.
Any thoughts?

Lightroom 5 uses the equivalent of ACR 8.x and the Latest ACR Plugin available for PS CS5 is version 6.7.
When you use the "edit in function" from Lightroom you should be getting a warning dialog that offers the choice of "Render using Lightroom" or "open anyway". If you wish all the edits done in Lightroom you need to choose "render using Lightroom" if you choose "open anyway" then ACR 6.x may not be able to apply all the edits done by Lightroom.
If you do not see the missmatch warning it is because it was turned off in a previous session. From the Lightroom main menu bar go to ""Edit >Preferences >General tab > under Prompts select Reset all warning dialogs""

SVG connector lines missing when opened in Illustrator CS5

It has taken a while to jiggle SVG files saved in Inkscape and get them to open in Illustrator CS5. The files are basically a flow chart with some text and connecting lines between the rectangular boxes.
Now we are getting text and rectangular boxes to show when the SVG file is opened in Illustrator. However, the paths (or connector lines) that show the flow between boxes are not shown.
The file we are opening has about 10 layers and initially, it looked like just a blank document. We had to click the top layer in the layer group "on", to see all the layers. I guess the default is having the top layer "off".
When opened in a browser, the connector lines are showing up fine (although the arrow heads are turned sideways).
Suggestions for getting connector lines to show up in Illustrator?

I suppose Inkscapes equivalent of AI's Expand function would be advisable. I'd have to revisit inkscape one of these days, but I believe they are using styles to descripe the conenctors, not genuine objects, hence nothing shows up in programs that don't understand the Inkscape lingo...

Message tab missing when opening emails in Outlook 2013

Hello,
I have a client where their Message tab will sometimes disappear when opening a new email message window. They have to reboot the application to get the message tab to display again. It's pretty intermittent so it's hard to replicate at the snap of my fingers.
There are no errors in Event Viewer and all add-ins are acting correctly. Has anyone seen this or knows what to look for?

Are you using a custom form when creating a new email message? If so, please try clearing the form cache and then check if this issue will happen again. To do this, please follow:
1. Click File > Options > Advanced
2. Scroll to the Developers section, click Custom Forms button.
3. Click Manage Forms button.
4. Click Clear Cache button.
In addition, we can also try resetting your Ribbon to see if it helps. To do this, click New Email button to open a new email, click File > Options > Customize Ribbon, click Reset > Reset all customizations.

Updated ACR to 8.4 with latest OSX. Now ACR is missing from "Open with" menu in Bridg

Clearly from what I am reading online, there are all sorts of horrors resulting from this latest ACR upgrade.
Mine is that the option to open a file in ACR has disappeared from the right click menu in Bridge.
Raw Nef's still open in ACR by default, but I cannot open any other file type in ACR
Is there a way to uninstall ACR 8.4 and reinstall an older version?

There's a fix coming.... don't reinstall CS6 yet, although that would be hours of fun
I just received a replacement file to test for the camera raw plugin. This fixed the problem on my installation of CS6 that had updated to 8.4 and was not able to launch Camera Raw from Bridge, and also Bridge was not able to view or alter any Metadata.
There was no need to reinstall PS, just a direct replacement of the file. I don't know how Adobe will be supplying the fix, but as of now, I would not recommend updating to Camera Raw / DNG 8.4 if you are using CS6 until the new file is available.

Fonts missing when opening a PDF

When I open PDF's in Illustrator CS3 and I don't have some of the fonts used in the document it replace them. But what if I just want to get text as a vector curve and not editable for writing something else?

Ask the provider to outline fonts before saving as PDF. Otherwise, the fonts are embedded as type.

Login language missing when opening a web query

When I am opening a web query, e.g. using the execute button in Query Designer, I am not asked for the login language. Therefore, I am not able to chose the language. Instead, the language "DE" (German) is taken by default.
I want to execute the query in another language (English). I can do that by adding "language=en" to the URL, but this is not a solution.
I would like to have the option to enter the language together with the login information (user and password).
Why is the language selection missing?

When you log onto the SAP system, you must select a language. The following describes the process according to which the logon language is determined.
The browser that is connected to the SAP Web Application Server as a client also has language settings. With Internet Explorer, you can set the language you require by choosing Tools ® Internet Options ® Languages.
The logon language for the SAP Web Application Server is set according to the following process.
       1.      In transaction SICF, if the service has set the flag Mandatory Logon Data, the system uses the language that was entered there.
       2.      If this is not the case, but the HTTP request contains the language in the HTTP header (as a header or a form field), you log onto the system using this language.
       3.      The system then takes the browser settings. The system selects as the logon language the first language from the list that is maintained in the browser, and which is also installed in the SAP system.

Form Data missing when Opened

I been having problem with PDF files clients sent to our agents.
When the pdf is high-lighted in Outlook it will open in preview mode and shows all the data correctly.
When it is opened in Acrobat 9 Pro, the data is missing. This is true even when I used the Export Data function, the xml shows as empty.
Anyone know what is the cause of this issue? or how to fix it?

I am currently following up with the client to figure out what they are using that is causing this problem.
There however is no chance the wrong file is e-mailed however. Since the data is visible when previewing the attachment in Email.
I have no idea why the data associated with the file is readable by whatever preview mechanism Outlook 2010 uses, but somehow inaccessible to Acrobat Reader/Pro.
I am not sure if it is the Mac Preview program issue, but I do not believe they are using Macs. I will post the information as soon as I receive it.

4.01 is a disaster; cant open tools/addons; wont restart in safe mode, toolbars missing when opening or moving to a new window.

Subject line covers most of the question. Version 4.0 worked fine. I've uninstalled and reinstalled 4.01. No change. Tools, Addons doesnt reveal addons. New window opens with some toolbars missing and a blank page.
Using tabmix plus; maybe that's an issue? Using Default theme. But these were fine in 4.0
How can I revert to version 4.0? or the last release of 3?

I had this problem as well - it was caused by a complex session with multiple tab groups, some of which needed authentication. I made a copy of my Profile and then deleted the session files, and Firefox came right up.

Difference in ACR processed image when opened in PS CS4

I shot some images with a Sony A900 and CZ 85 lense at the weekend. I just opened one in ACR, made a couple of corrections and then opened it in PS CS4. The opened image is significantly redder than what I am seeing in the preview in ACR. The opened image is in Prophoto at 16 bit. I am using the latest patch levels on a calibrated Eizo CG222W monitor. I've never seen this happen before on other cameras.
Any suggestions?

Msvcp100.dll is missing when opening Photoshop CS6

When I click to open Photoshop, I get this message about 5 or 6 times and then Photoshop opens. It has been working fine for a long time.

My solution, uninstall the NIK update that appeared unanounced in my programs on 10/30. Reinstall from original .exe file received from Google in May, all is well again. Where did this update come from???????

Why no Read Only / Edit prompt when opening document from a hyperlink (link)?

I have a page that I've added hyperlinks to that point to documents in a document library.
If I click on a link to an Excel file, it doesn't give me the Read Only / Edit option. Instead, I get Open/Save/Cancel, and if I open it, I can't save it to the doc library, because it's
opened as Read Only.
On the same page, I have a link to a Word file to the SAME doc library. I still only get Open/Save/Cancel, but I can save - and it can overwrite the existing file on SharePoint. This is not ideal, but works.
What I'd like is to be able to link to a document from anywhere and have it open the Read Only / Edit prompt.
I've read elsewhere that this is a client issue, but I can't find the resolution.

Try this:
Quit all Office programs that are running.
Click
Start, click
Run, type regedit in the
Open box, and then click
OK.
Locate and then right-click the following registry subkey:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\<version_number>\Common\Internet
Note In this subkey, <version_number> corresponds to 10-15 for the specific Office version that is installed.
Point to
New, and then click
DWORD Value.
Type OpenDocumentsReadWriteWhileBrowsing, and then press ENTER.
Right-click
OpenDocumentsReadWriteWhileBrowsing, and then click
Modify.
In the
Value data box, type 1, and then click
OK.
On the
File menu, click
Exit to quit Registry Editor.
It will force to open all office files from Internet in Edit mode

Project missing when opening iMovie

I've just recently installed iMovie from the iLife pkg. I was able to start a new project and import my photos from iPhoto. When I closed iMovie and reopened, I don't see any of my still photos in the thumbnails to continue my edits. Any suggestions? Am I doing something wrong?

I can see my project on the source list, but when highlighted, and clicking through the folder, I see nothing. I see:
10.11.08 (a folder project I created)
Quicklook (a folder w/in my project folder)
My Project (a project file that is blank)
Hope that makes sense. Am I doing something wrong when creating New Project? I've tried a couple of times w/ the same result.

ACR conversion of CR2 to DNG = 14-bit Not 16-bit :Why?

If I open one of my Canon 5D Mark II CR2 raw files (several in different folders and taken at different times were tested) in ACR (7.2) and save it as a DNG file (with no ACR edits) Bridge shows the DNG as being a 14-bit file whereas if I save it as a PSD file it has a 16-bit depth. Exactly the same thing happens if I convert the CR2 file to DNG using the Adobe DNG Converter (7.2 version). You might answer that as a raw file, it does not yet have a bit depth because it has not been rendered, and the 14-bit description really has no meaning. But if that is the case then Bridge's reporting that all my original CR2 files are 16-bit is also meaningless.
Why is there a difference in the reported, and presumeably actual, bit depths?
Interestingly, if I then open the "Bridge reported"14-bit DNG file in Ps (CS6) and save it as a PSD, the new PSD is shown, presumeably correctly, as being 16-bit.
Please help a poor confused soul.

Not sure why this is so hard to understand...Bridge is a browser app that tries (but often fails) to display the "right thing". But often can't due to the file's metadata.

This whole thing is a red herring...you may as well give it up. Seriously, you are not getting anywhere here...raw is raw and you should generally ignore Bridge for most reports...because, well, Bridge isn't accurate because the standards for reporting bit depth are not standard...that's what is causing the differences. Lost changes to DNG when opening in Photoshop CS3

I am losing changes that have been made to DNG files when opening these files in Photoshop CS3. I added my Canon CR2 RAW files to Lightroom, made changes to the images in Lightroom (exposure, contrast, color correction, etc) and then exported the images as DNG files. Now, when I open any of these DNG files in Photoshop CS3 or Lightroom 2.1 all of the changes are completely lost. Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this?

Thank you for your replies to this problem. Yes, I did in fact upgrade to ACR 4.6 on 10/07. The problem that I have it that only a few of the thousands of images I worked on remain in Lightroom at this point. I worked on the files in Lightroom, exported them as DNG files to retain the changes and then removed them from Lightroom.
I have narrowed the problem down to a specific date of 10/21. I noticed that all of the DNG files that I am having problems with were modified on this date and will not open in ACR while retaining the changes I made in Lightroom. If I go through my backup and pull the same DNG file prior to 10/21, it opens in ACR perfectly and retains all of my Lightroom modifications.
What I want to determine here is two things. One, how to recover the Lightroom information in the DNG files that have been corrupted so the file opens in ACR as intended. Two, how to prevent this from ever happening again. I am happy to post samples of the problematic DNG files, as well as, the older backup versions that are working correctly. Any insight to this issue would be greatly appreciated.
