LR purchase through Apple App Store, No available Upgrade to 4.2.

Yeah, after downloading the update from the adobe site 3 to 4 times.
I realized that I puchased LR through the APP store which doesn't allow for updates from the adobe website only the apple app store.
I will never purchase a third party app from the app store again.
apple and adobe should send out update at the same time.
Not let their customers wait...
Just like i've been waiting to tether my 5D Mark III.
I guess I"ll just have to wait some more.
Shame on Adobe and apple for the poor comunication...

I would go back to apple. Go tothe same one and try to get the same guy who helped you last time. They will understand that this is the second time and know what happened last time.

The Lightroom 6 installer continues to indicate that it cannot find a "qualifying product" and asks for a declaration of the Lightroom product installed and its serial number. Does anyone have an idea on how to supply a valid serial number for the Lightroom 6 installer?

As I said in the post, a serial number was not necessary to install it; the Apple downloadable version doesn't seem to be serialized. I have not uninstalled Lightroom 4; it is still running, but apparently in its present form it doesn't provide a serial number for the Lightroom 6 upgrade to use.

I had photoshop elements 9 purchased through the itune app store and I was unable to add additional actions because a glitch in the app store version of 9. Apple credited my account and I was wondering
if I puchase Elements 10 through the app store will I be able to add additional actions after the fact of is Elements 10 purchased through the app store the same as 9? Thanks in advance!

How can I install Mountain Lion in a VMware fusion, if it came with my macbook pro, and not purchased through the app store?

I try to install it from the recovery partition but it states that when I put in my apple ID, it states that it was not purchased through the App Store. My OS came with my Macbook. Is there anything that I can do to get it to install in a VM?

Not really. The license that comes with pre-installed OS is only for that Mac.

Hi - you can do what you want to do with AirPlay from your iPhone - but unfortunately it is not as easy as the people in the Apple store told you - your first problem is that you have a non Apple router - you cannot extend a non Apple router wirelessly with the Express - you can only join the network and connect an ethernet device to it - you can however connect via ethernet and have it create a wireless network of its' own - you can set this up from your iPhone or the XP - but this is a complicated setup and would involve many different discussion areas of this forum - therefore I would suggest that you use your 90 days of support and consult directly with Apple to do this - go to this link - http://www.apple.com/support/contact/

Cannot find game purchased through the APP Store

I purchased the Azkend game through Game House and was unable to get a code to open it --- Game House told me they were having issues. I then went to the App Store and found it there. I then purchased it through the App Store The app store's Azkend game was downloaded and overrode the Game House trial download. I was able to play the game a few times, but was never able to save it on my desktop. I tried again this morning and now it has disappeared from my App Store purchases.

- Did you look into your purchased app list in the Mac App Store ?
Login with same Apple ID you used to purchase that app and you will be able to re-download it from there. Once the the download is finished, the app is automatically installed in your Applications folder.

Can't update iPhoto and other apps after upgrading to Yosmite. Bought the computer at a Mac Store complete with iPhoto, iMovie, Numbers, Pages etc so the App store sayes we can't upgrade because these were not purchased through the App store.

Until this gets resolved we can't access iPhoto or my iPhoto library. Unfortunately didn't back up my photos before we "upgraded" to Yosmite. Any ideas?

Did this machine come with Mountain Lion installed out of the box? If so, that copy of Mountain Lion is not associated with the App Store. It will never show up there. To reinstall, as mende1 indicates, just boot into recovery mode by holding command-R at startup. Note that, if your hard drive fails or the system is otherwise unable to boot from the hidden recovery partition on the internal drive, your machine will fall back to internet recovery, and will boot from Apple's servers once connected to a network.
If you actually purchased Mountain Lion in the App Store and you're not seeing it listed in Purchases now, one possibility is that it's hidden, as mende1 indicated. Another possibility is that you are logged in to the App Store with a different Apple ID. Purchases through the App Store are linked to the Apple ID, and you must be logged in with the Apple ID that purchased them in order to re-download or update them.

Yes there is a setting for that. Open system preferences go to the security & privacy sections, click the lock icon and type in your password. Then in the "Allow applications downloaded from: area tick Anywhere.

You installed a hacked app, originally from the Mac App Store. It contains the receipt for a different app, downloaded using an account that you don't control. You need to identify and remove the hacked app.
Important: The app you need to remove is not necessarily the one named in the App Store notice. No you are only qualified for an update when you bought a mac that doesnt include mountain lion. Buying the older version OS X lion does not fall into that category.

You should be able to use the OpenVPN Connect app running on your iPad to connect your iPad to the VPN directly. It is an official OpenVPN client for iOS devices.
In what way is it "not compatible"? Have you tried it? Tunnelblick is an OpenVPN client, so your school's VPN is using the OpenVPN protocol. That means any OpenVPN client should be able to access it. (It is possible, but unlikely, that your school uses encryption that is not available on the iPad, but that would be very unusual.)
Otherwise, a remote control app on your iPad would let you control your Mac at home. "Back to My Mac", for example, would allow you to control your Mac remotely. The tricky part of this is that usually a VPN is set up to send all Internet traffic via the VPN server, and I'm not sure how that would work with "Back to My Mac".
