LR2 and PS4 - merging to HDR, merge to Panaorama and Edit in Layers not working

Hi,
I've recently upgraded from LR to LR2.1 and Photoshop CS to CS4. I've been trying to multi-select images from LR2 and edit them as HDR and Panoramas using the "Edit in->" merging options.
None of them seem to work. I can see PS CS4 being opened, but then nothing happens. No image is opened or dialog box shown anywhere. Closing PS doesn't prompt for any saving, etc.
I think the problem is because my RAW/DNG files are stored on a NAS. Trying to do the merge from PS directly using the files also doesn't work. But if I copy the files to my local HDD, then things work a lot better.
Is this a known issue with CS4?
iMac, OSX Leopard, 4Gb RAM.

I have done some more tests:
Setting up CS3 as "Additional External Editor" in LR2.1 Edit/Preferences/External Editing works fine with RAW ( .NEF ) files on NAS-drive.
Also CS4 as "Additional External Editor" works the same way. The procedure is the same as when CS3 was the standard editor, ie exporting a TIFF file from LR2.1.
The difference is that the standard CS4 integration is not writing TIFF files från LR, but has a more tight integration to CS4, which is much faster. But still not working when RAW files are on NAS. ( LR catalog files are on local disk ).
Configuration:
Dell dimension 9200
Windows Vista Home Premium ( 32-bit )
D-link DNS-323 NTFS file system
Lightroom 2.1
Photoshop CS4 Extended
Latest updates installed.

I would like to insert a new text. I thought i could use the touch-out tool but i can´t don´t know why. I did it with the typewriter tool. So the text is this
now i try to change the font type but i can´t. I do not get the Typeface Menu as the Acrobat Help says.

Indeed i do get it in the original PDF text but not in the new one.
I made a PDF from InDesign, i don´t have the original file with me now but i suposse i can edit the resulting PDF. I am reading Adobe online help but doesn´t work. I have Acrobat Pro 8.
Any help or ideas?

thanks for the good info CtDave. I thought that even Acrobat 8 Pro would let me introduce a text and change its font type without too much trouble. I see that i can change the font style from the original pdf texts but NOT from new inserted text. For i moment i thought it was something related to the PDF Security or Editting settings but that is not the case since there is no restrictions.
I guess i will keep trying to see what is wrong just for the learning process

Try a reset, see if that corrects the problem.

It's real easy to create a new one and, in fact, it's too easy. I say that because multiple IDs are a PIA. The problem is that anything obtained from the iTunes Store is PERMANENTLY associated with the ID that was used to obtain the item(s). iTunes items can not be transferred from one ID to another and IDs can not be merged.
The problem arises when you want to update an app. If you're doing it from iTunes on your computer, you must log out and back in to get to the correct ID. Then you update and log out/in again to get back to where you started. It's slightly easier if you update from the iPad/iPod device as there is no need to log out/in BUT you still need the correct password for the appropriate ID. Of course, with a disabled ID, the problem is much worse!
A replacement Apple ID makes sense ONLY if you wish to start out absolutely brand new with zero iTunes Store purchases.
If you're really butting your head aginst a wall and you're reasonably close to an Apple Store, my suggestion is that you make an appointment with the resident "Genius" and get his/her help.
One last thought... If your brother actually got a human on the phone to dispute the charges, go there and explain the problem. Of course, if Apple did not accept his explanation of what occurred, that could be the whole issue. Apple believes that money is owed on the account!

If you restored to factory settings/new iPod and still have the problem that indicates a hardware problem.

Suggestions?

- After charging for 1/2 hour or so, does iTunes see the iPod? If yes, restore the iPod from backup.
- If no, se if placing the iPod in recovery mode will make it visible so you can restore the iPod. For recovery mode see:

HDMI and PC inputs do not work on my 37AV502R LCD TV

my Apple TV (HDMI) and computers 2 on HDMI, 1 on PC, display just fine n the TV but after a while the TV goes blank,
the time is not consistent sometime a few minutes, sometimes a few hours,
but every time, after the TV goes blank there is nothing I can do, the TV just stays blank, if I unplug and turn back on the TV displays the image for a split second and goes bank again,
I thought it might be an overheating thing, however sometimes the PC input will stop working but the HDMI input (either one) will work fine,
has anyone else had this issue?

I'm having the same issue. As soon as I connect it to VGA or HDMI, it goes into a cycle of flashing on-and-off. A guy on youtube had the same problem (posted a video identical to my problem) and reportedly fixed it with a firmware update.
The problem: the US website doesn't have a firmware download. The canadian website does, but the update is from 4/2009, and the manufactured date on the back of my TV is 5/2009. (I also tried the update, but it didn't fix the problem).
When I call Toshiba to ask about the firmware update, after they confirm I am out of warranty, their automated system keeps hanging up on me. So frustrating.

You must enable iTunes Match on the new computer. Hello and thank you for posting back. What it sounds like is the cable that connects to the screen from the motherboard has either come loose or has a issue after the fall.
To fix this it would have to be opened up and the connections checked. If there is an issue with the cable then it would have to be replaced. This will require either you opening up the system yourself and checking the connections and tha cable or sending it in for repair.

Have you tried a soft-reset to see if that fixes it ? You might be able to get warranty service in Egypt for your iPad, but the warranty includes :
IMPORTANT RESTRICTION FOR iPHONE AND iPAD SERVICE.
Apple may restrict warranty service for iPhone and iPad to the country where Apple or its Authorized Distributors originally sold the device.
As it's wifi-only you should have a better chance of it being serviced under warranty, but there are no guarantees, it might depend upon the repairer.

With version 5 of Firefox, if I open more than 1 session, most of the time I cannot see anything in the navigation bar and my back and forward buttons do not work.

I open 1 session of Firefox 5.0.1 and everything seems to work fine. Then I open a second session of Firefox and most of the time the navigation bar does not show the page that I am on and the back and forward buttons do not work. When this happens, the first session always remains working. I am an internet marketer so I have at least 2 or 3 sessions going at any given time.

A possible cause is a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.

We just need a little more information." The continue button does not work. I've seen this problem before trying to file support requests. It's as if Apple simply does not want you to create requests.
