LR2: can't see the images I've edited in Photoshop

I'm working on a Mac Pro desktop.
I'm in the LR2 develop module. I right-click on an image to "edit in CS3". No problem, the image opens up in CS3. I work on the image, then save and close the image.
Here's the problem: After saving and closing the image, I go back to LR2, and the new edited image (saved as a tiff) is not visible in Lightroom! And no, it isn't "stacked" behind the original - it's just not visible - like it wasn't even there.
I know it's there because I can see the tiff file right there using the Mac Finder. Where did the image go and how do I get my saved edits to automatically be visible in LR2? Thanks.

Do you have any special characters in your folder name, e.g., ampersand, apostrophe? That will cause the TIF to be stored in the same directory but not imported into LR. You can Synchronize Folder to import the TIF file(s).

Missing in this equation were the version of Premiere Elements that you were using and the computer operating system on which it was running. But...
The deed is done. But.....Until now and after you went ahead and moved to version 12, we now learn what version of Premiere Elements you were using. We still do not know the computer operating system involved.
You just said Premiere Elements 10. Premiere Elements 10 is hit by a serious known display issue if the computer uses a NVIDIA GeForce video card/graphics card. In this issue, the only remedy is to roll back the driver version to about May 2013. The description of the problem and how to do the roll back are described in one of the Announcements at the top of this forum. What video card/graphics card does your computer use?
On another front, Adobe will be releasing a new version of Premiere Elements any day now. No one but Adobe knows the feature set for the new version. That type of information is announced at the moment of release of the new version.
So the remedy to the problem that you presented in this thread could have been...
1. Rolling back the NVIDIA GeForce driver version to about May 2013 if possible (Windows 8 or 8.1 64 bit, may not be possible)
2. Move to another version of Premiere Elements (which you did)
I offer the above for consideration so that you can review your decisions. We are pleased to learn that Premiere Elements 12/12.1 works for you.

I can't see the images on a web page, instead of them I get an interrogation.This is only one page, and none of the browsers can view your images, and this happened after updating the operating system to Yosemite.

Safari > Preference > Advanced
Checkmark the box for "Show Develop menu in menu bar".
"Develop" menu will appear in the Safari menu bar
Enable Images.
Make sure that"Disable Images" is not enabled.

When I drag the item off of the trifold that I am creating, it just disappears but I still want to use it. I just need to move it out of the way to modify other portions of the document.

Add another page below the current one to use as a storage area. You can't use the grey area around the page for storing items you want to use later.
Go to the Pages Menu>Provide Pages Feedback if you would like to request this feature be added in future versions.

The ! turns up when iPhoto loses the connection between the thumbnail in the iPhoto Window and the file it represents.
Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Rebuild iPhoto Library Database from automatic backup.
If that fails:
Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one. .

Make a temporary, backup copy (if you don't already have a backup copy) of the library and apply the two fixes below in order as needed:
Fix #1
Launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.
Select the options identified in the screenshot.
Fix #2
Using iPhoto Library Manager to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
Download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.
Click on the Add Library button, navigate to your Home/Pictures folder and select your iPhoto Library folder.
Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the File ➙ Rebuild Library menu option
In the next window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
Click on the Create button.
Note: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments but not books, calendars or slideshows. The original library will be left untouched for further attempts at fixing the problem or in case the rebuilt library is not satisfactory.

I posted the same issue.
I upgraded FCE 3 to FCE 3.5 on Mac 10.4.6
At first I had nothing: every attempt at capturing resulted in shutting down of FCE.
After upgrading to QT 7.1.1 I now have device control but the capture proces is aborted as there seems to be "no video" (miniDV deck)
Everything is normal with iMovie 6

Removing and reinstalling iTunes and other software components for Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8

Can't see the video's to edit
when i move the mouse over the video's they should appear in the upper right screen, but i get black screen when i click on the play icon down left, i still get black screen, the only videos i can see should be moved to the editing area,
why is that and is there a fix for it soon?

If you mean your iCloud backup, you can't see the individual files contained in the backup. You can only access the data in the backup by restoring it to your device.
You can see categories of data stored in your iCloud account by going to Settings>iCloud>Storage & Backup>Manage Storage. You can see the actual data by looking in the apps on your device that are syncing data with iCloud (contacts, calendars, notes, etc.). You can also see some of this data by going to icloud.com from your comptuer.

Sometimes the images aren't displayed even though I have the right option set in my forum profile. Most of the images posted on the forum work, but some seem to be blocked.

I can see it by right clicking on the "image with the filename" and clicking "View image" in Firefox. As rebootl mentioned, it's probably due to a wrong embed code.

I can view it fine. Try it again. Or maybe your IP is blacklisted for some reason.
So basically, there are different causes leading to the unavailablity of images.
When in doubt, load Firefox's Web developer tools -> Network tab. Do a full reload on the page, and see the status codes for each image.

I had the exact same problem a while ago, but in Safari.
Certain pictures on websites appeared with a questionmark instead of displaying the actual picture, and I was going NUTS because of it.
However, I found out that this fixed the problem:
Go to System Prefences and click on Quicktime. Selcet the 'Advanced' tab and then click on the 'MIME settings' button. In the window that shows, make sure there is NO tickmark in the 'Miscellaneous - miscellaneous file formats'.

After the new 10.9.2 Maverick upgrade, my Photosmart C4480 3 in 1 printer can not scan and save the file to desktop or documents. You can only see the image in the print preview area. Does anyone know how to fix this or when a fix will be out?

After Aple support downloaded the new 10.9.2 Maverick upgrade on my MacBook Air, my Photosmart C4480 3 in 1 printer can not scan a document and load the file on to my desktop or document file. (You can see the doc image in the preview but it doesn't save it.) Does anyone know an Apple fix for this or when the fix will be out? After hours of trying reloading, and the usual fixes, etc. Apple told me to call HP, and HP told me they don't support Mac. It does not seem honorable of Apple to put out an upgrade and not tell people it will destroy their scanning ability, and that the only thing to do is to buy another printer/scanner.

After moving a folder to an external drive i can still see the images even with the external drive off

I have moved a folder with a lot of subfolders onto an external drive but when I disconnect the external drive I can still view them in Lightroom. I thought this took them off my Mac Book Drive.

The previews that LR makes for itself are small and their size can be set in Preferences. The default is around 1600 pixels wide and it should be set to the size closest to your monitor resolution.
Another feature that might interest you is the ability to make Smart Previews, either at import or later. The SP is a 2560 pixels wide DNG, whereas the normal preview is a jpg, and as such can act as a surrogate for the Raw file and can be edited in place of it when the external drive is offline. When the drive is reconnected, the edits are associated with the original.
