  • Different versions of animated image in single swf file

I am making a game which has several objects (beds, crates, tables) that can be placed on a grid.
The objects are created in flash and exported as individual .swf files. Each object can be rotated. To do this I create 4 frames in each .swf and draw a different version of the image in each frame. This allows me to 'rotate' an object in actionscript by simply going to the next frame of the swf movieClip.
This simplifies things a lot for me, as it follows logically that an object will have one image file (swf) for all orientations. However, I've hit a problem in that I would like the object to have an animation. Does anyone know if there is a way to do this? or perhaps another technique I could use.

I think It's best to explain with an example. Let's say I have a television that I draw in four different frames with different rotations. The first frame has the television facing in a south west direction. The 2nd frame has a south east facing television and so on. This is what I have at the moment. What I'm wanting to do next is add an animation to the television, e.g. display something moving on the screen.

this two datasets are linked with imageid  field and binded to ReportClientDocument.
i have to show different image fields in every page of the report.  this images are differ in width and heights.
i am able to show a single constant image field object from blob database field.
but i could not able to find the solution to show different set of multiple images in different pages of the report.
is there any formulas can be written or kindy give me a solution to achieve this.

See RAS samples [here|https://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/BOBJ/NETRASSDK+Samples]. Look for "NET-CS2003_RAS-Managed_BE115_Add_Image" or "NET-VB2003_RAS-Managed_BE115_Add_Image-From-File".

  • Link graphic frames to show different parts of one image

    Hi all,
I want to make a sort of broken-up canvas effect with a photo, and thought I could do this with frames?
I want to create a grid of rectangles (alternating so you only see the white space separating them), and the triangles all have a part of the overall picture in it. When you see the whole grid, you see the whole picture. Can I do this in InDesign?
    Thanks!

    1. Make the grid of rectangles, select all
    2. Press Cmd+8 (you get a compound path)
    3. Select the compound path and place the image into it
You can direct select the image in the compound path, for any positioning.

  • Business Catalyst - Can I show different versions of  my site pages to different types of visitors?

My organization's site is known to have three distinct type of a visitor - patient, parent, scientist.
Is it possible in Business Catalyst-  and what is the best workflow - to create pages that allow to display a variation of content, based on who is viewing at the moment?
Promote certain items to the top for a patient, and other items to a scientist, for example?
Thanks, would appreciate any expert advice!

There are several ways you can accomplish that, the simplest is to have the three links ie patient, parent, scientist send the visitor to the relevant section of the site, but with each section maintaining the three links at the top.

  • Keynote export images

Keynote Version 6 exports images in nice form, but does not allow you to output only chosen slides.  It creates images for every slide!
It lets you pick slides 4 and 5 for example, but will send out an image for every slide you have, whether you have 5 or 500!
Just one of those little things that were not "finished" in the new version.

An alternative to deleting the slides you don't want exported in Keynote 6.0.1, you can "skip" the slides within the document and only the "un-skipped" slides will have their images exported. Undo the "skip" after exporting the images to return your document to its presentation state.
Skip Slide is available in the Slide menu, or with a command-shift-H, or can be added to your toolbar through "customize toolbar".
If the document has a number of skipped slides you don't want to change, you can duplicate the document and either use Gary Scotland's delete unwanted slides, or use this skip process.
And, let's hope the next update comes out soon and renders this workaround unnecessary.

  • LR3-Library-Export-Image Resizing:  Specifying Pixel WxH results in different WxH - tips please?

This is a multi-dimensional question (he he).  I understand my problem is related to the original/developed WxH ratio.  If the pixel WxH I spec in Export-Image Resizing doesn't match that developed proportion, the results are not what I want.  In other words LR3 keeps the original/developed proportion and not what I want for that export.  Ok, so I just answered my own question - but..... please give me some library or export tips for doing what I want to do.
    What I do:
1 - I edit my images in RAW and like to keep them in their original proportions from my Canon camera as that is the proportion of HxW i use the most
2 - Later, if the image is really good (at least I like it), I may export it for different purposes and then may choose or require a different proportion.
3 - I would really like to not have to re-crop in Develop, then go back and Export, then go back to Develop and change it back to original.
Besides being tedious and time consuming, can anyone recommend a better way for me to do these "one off" exports (seems to happen more often lately) without screwing around in Develop and messing up my original work?
    Background:
One of the reasons I do this is to create wallpapers for computers, for various printing/framing proportions, and then for web site situations.  Windows XP (and I think the others) gets really slow if the program must re-size an image for wallpaper (why? go ask Mr. Gates... better get in line).  So to keep performance high, it is best to create the image in the exact pixel dimensions of the monitor.  This is always some weird number and not like anything else I do this for.  The other reason is for a quick, custom print job for someone who wants an odd matting setup for framing (don't ask).  This results in odd proportions.  Regarding the web.... well smooshing a pic into a column etc. etc...    Now while I am proud of my art and understand LR3 will expect me to re-crop to preserve my artistic brilliance, but really..... I would be happy with a proportional crop from the parallel sides of the offending dimension.
Also, when I spec a dimension, shouldn't the DPI gray out?  What am not understanding here?
One last request: please give me tips on solving for world peace... this one really bugs me.
    Thanx in advance!

    Bruce,
As you correctly noticed, the WxH ratio in export represents a canvas, into which the exported image is fit. Here are some illustrations on what the different settings mean:
For what you are trying to achieve, you have to crop the image to the correct dimensions before doing the export. If I had to do it, I would create virtual copies of the original image as the last step and give each virtual copy its own crop, then export the virtual copies.
    Bruce in Philly wrote:

The DPI resolution has no meaning for the size of the resulting image if you specify pixels in your export dimensions. But the resolution tag is written into the image, which might affect the way an image is printed, depending on the printing application.
But if you specify your export dimensions in inches or cm, the resolution together with the dimensions in inch/cm determine the size of the resulting image in pixels. I.e. if you specify 5x7" and 300DPI, your exported images size will be 1500x2100 pixels.

  • When I open an exported image after editing it, it is completely different than the image in Lightroom

I edit an image in Lightroom and happy with the results I export (save) onto my computer.  When I then open the image it looks completely different to the one I just edited and saved!  Very frustrating!  I did not take it in raw format,  I have taken all the photos already and cannot retake them. I am new to Lightroom, only on trial at the moment.
    Help much appreciated

There are 9 different versions of iPhoto and they run on eight different versions of the Operating System. The tricks and tips for dealing with issues vary from version to version and OS to OS. So before anyone can help, they need information to work with. Things like:
    - What version of iPhoto.
    - What version of the Operating System.
    - Details. What were you doing when the problem arose?
    - Did it ever work properly?
    - Are there error messages?
    - What steps have you tried already to solve the issue.

  • How do I export TIFF versions of my images?

Just starting to play with the demo. How do I export TIFF versions of my images? Will I need to open RAW files in different application, such as Canon Digital Photo Professional?

    No,
Just right click and choose "export version" there will be a ton of options and you can make your own presets from there as well.

  • Exporting images unmatched color schemes on different previews

Hello, After I've exported through LR 3 I am getting different tone qualities only with two different image viewing windows. The picture attached shows the example of the image on the left opened with Windows Photo Viewer is brighter red tie and bluer suit while the one on the right is opened with Microsoft Photo Editor is more darker red and purple suit. The one on the left is the correct image.
This is also happening when the photo is sent through an inventory management system we have.
I am exporting with 600 x 1200 jpeg resize 72 dpi at sRGB, 100 quality, and jPeg mode in File settings.
Help. This is frustrating and it seems to be doing it at random with the images

Microsoft Photo Editor seems to be discontinued and I assume it is/was not color managed.
if a program is not color managed it displays colors in an unreliable manner.
Windows Photo Viewer on the other hand is color managed, provided that you use Win 7, that your monitor is calibrated, and that the correct profile is being applied (in Control Panel >Hardware and Sound >Display >Adjust Resolution >Advanced Settings >Color Management >Color Management. It should display your latest calibration profile as being used.
If your monitor is not calibrated color display will be unreliable in any program. If you don't have the calibration tools (Hardware called a spectrometer + accompanying software) you can set your monitor to sRGB. For photo editing this is only a temporary solution.
See here on how to set your monitor to sRGB:
