LR3 shows image as CR2 & JPG

I seem to have loaded images as CR2 + JPEG and I know they are both present in the folder as in Explorer I can see both. In LR3 I can only see the CR2 file.
How do I get to see my JPEG file in LR3 please. Or do I have to re-import them as separate files if I want to do that.

Preferences, General...check Treat JPEG files next to raw files as separate photos.
Otherwise LR just adds a reference to these files in the catalog but does not show them separately

I'm guessing your problem is caused by code validation errors: orphaned division tags for example, or mismatched code and document type (i.e. XHTML /> mixed with HTML > style closures).
Start by using the code validation tools below and fix any reported. You'll need an Internet connection for this:

Mail doesn't show images, just the icons eg. .jpeg, .jpg, .png etc.

iMac 24" OS X 10.7.5 Lion, my Mail ver. 5.3 does not show images anymore, just the icon attachments, eg. .jpeg, .jpg, .png etc.
I can click on them and use the open with context menu and open them but they just open as attachments not lined up to the email body as they have always been in the past.
What can I do to get these images back to where they belong?

Open Terminal in Applications>Utilities and paste this in. Then hit return.
defaults write com.apple.mail DisableInlineAttachmentViewing 0
To reverse the setting, change the 0 to a 1.

Adobe Bridge Changed Cr2 Files to CR2.Jpg

I'm so exhausted trying to figure this out! I'm a new Photoshop user. Just purchased it. Imported or opened Canon 40D raw files to see slideshow. I usually copy the original raw file from the cf card to a folder on my external drive. Now I need to go in and edit them in Lightroom 2.5 and I only see a small size ( 256x170) file "IMG_8611.CR2.jpg (what?). Does Adobe Bridge change file formats on its own? This is scary! Are the original cr2 files still located somewhere on the external drive? What's going on here? Also, is there any person to person support at Adobe? This is terrible. Thanks.

In the first post you said you edited the RAW file in Lightroom. Now you do not mention it. Where are you editing the file? If in Lightship I don't believe the normal mode is to generate a XMP file.
When you open Photoshop it does not automatically open camera raw, so confused here also.
The least confusing way to edit is to open Bridge and right click on RAW file, then choose "open in camera raw". You edit and then click done to save edits, or open image to go to PS. If you double click image it will open PS and the same ACR window.
You can set up Bridge so that the external drive is a "favorite". Beware that if you have Bridge set to "open on startup", the external drive may not be recoginzed as Bridge can load before the computer can recognize it is connected. Disable this function.
You say "I go to the folder and open the image directly into Camera Raw". Is this a separate window with all the adjustment sliders that is titled "Camera Raw 5.x"? Once you do your edits here and click Done it saves the edits and puts a little weird circle in upper right corner of thumbnail to show it has been edited. If you click Open Image it opens it in PS with the edits.
How do you save the picture once you have made your edits, Done, Save, Save As, or ?

It should be in same folder as file, with same name. NOTE - not all files generate an XMP file, depends on the edit. Some of the info is written directly to the file.

Actuellement je n'obtiens qu'un message qui me dit "Aperçu non disponible pour ce fichier. Je croyais qu'Adobe avait mis à jour Lightroom depuis aout 2013.
Dois je systématiquement convertir le format en DNG ou JPG ou bien dois je acheter Lightroom 5 ?

Flash Slide Show - need to convert jpgs to symbols

Flash beginner here,
I'm making a slide show, one slide at a time with alpha fades
overlapping so each image will fade in while the next fades in.
Tell me if my workflow can be improved:
1.) I imported all the pre-sized jpeg images into the library
2.) I then brought one image onto the stage and converted it
to a symbol so I could apply the alpha fade.
3.) I create a new layer and repeat the process with the next
image down the timeline with fades.
This is a slow one-by-one process. I'm wondering if there is
a better way. For instance, one thing that would have helped
streamline the process was if I could have converted all of the
images in the library to symbols in one fell swoop, let the new
symbol take on the name of the jpeg image without the .jpg
extension would have been good enough.
Also, re-creating the identical 'fade in, hold and fade-out'
routine over and over seems like it would have been better if I
could have copied that routine from one timeline and pasted it to
the next while being able to highlight that area and slide it down
the time line 100 frames, would also have helped the process.
Any tips on how I could have done it better, smarter?

There isn't any parameter in the current code that appears to control the preloader activity, so if one could be added, it would probably be a selection of whatever interface DW provided for creating the show.
If it's any use to you, I took a couple of minutes and created a simplified swf file using the two images. It is a static piece, meaning you can't add/change images for it like the slideshow appears to support, and it does not preload, but it may pass for now... if not, the quick effort didn't kill my weekend plans.
The zip file linked here contains an html page which you can use to copy/paste the embedding code into your file, the swf file, and a javascript file that must also reside in the folder. In the html head section there are two script tags that must also be added to the html head section of your file.

Can't show image in the center of the jscrollpane ,any one can help

i write a program to show image in the jscrollpane
i create a class called ImageLabel (it extends jlabel) then i use

but it show the image in the left and top corner of the jscrollpane ,not in the center of the jscrollpane
then i change the ImageLabel to JLabel ,:

Pop up a window to show images

Hi, I am trying to show images when the user rolls the mouse
over the image but I want to show them as a pop up window only when
the user is on the image.
Any ideas how can I handle this? I will have variety of
images and want the same behavior for all of them.

I am going to assume you are using Safari here. If so then go to the Apple menu bar and hit Safari-> Preferences. Under the Apperance tab there is a check box that is called "Display images when the page opens". Check if that is unticked.

I have an image sequence in JPG and when I select open image sequence, select all does not work and I can only highlight one frame at a time. I want to import these frames into QT7 to make a time lapse clip. Any suggestions

I have an image sequence in JPG that I want to import into quitck time 7 for making a time lapse clip.   It has an option to open the image sequence, but when I do, it only lets me highlight one frame at a time. The select all option seems to do nothing when I click on it trying to highlight all the frames.
      If QT7 is not designed to perform this function, is there another alternative?   iMovie is non intuitive for this kind of operation and I cannot find a clear tutorial for using it to make time lapse clips from a sequence of still frames.
       The tutorials Ive found on YouTube are well intended, but they all seem to leave out a vital step that eludes detection.
Anyway, any help appreciated.

Yes, I tried that.   The files were ordered by their original numbers as imported from the camera, but I batched them through Phocoshop to downsize all of them into a more manageable file size.   I opened that destination folder from quick time from where it said select image sequence.   I clicked on the first one and opened it.   The result was a large image with an arrow indicating a movie was ready to go.   When I pressed the arrow, though, I realized it had only imported that one frame so there was no movie.   The files are Jpgs and are about 450 KB each.
    To your knowledge are there any links to iMovie tutorials or quick time tutorials that may address this situation? Maybe there will be one I haven't looked at yet.

Iphone 4 will not show up on computer or in itunes. After several attempts to restart, only showing image to connect to itunes. Everything is plugged and it and I have the most up to date version of itunes.

Did you make a backup because you can't recover what's on our phone. Follow these steps to resotre your phone (the phone has to be plugged into your computer):
1) On your phone, press your sleep button for 2 seconds
2) After the two seconds, don't release the sleep and press the home button for 10 seconds
3) Release the sleep button and keep the home buttton pressed untill your computer detects your phone.
4) A window should pop up and you should have the restore button. Press it.
