LR4 email configuration issues

I have a mail forwarder that takes 'username' (no @domain) and a password. There does not seem to be a way to enter this configuration on the email accounts dialogue. Has anyone found a way to relax the requirement of including @domain as the username?
This is a serious showstopper for me (also all COMCAST users) as comcast also requires a username without @domain attached.
Please advise
Thanks

  • Agent-email Configuration issue

    Hello I have uccx version 7.0(1)SR5
    When i try to do the IMAP/SMTP setup on Agent Desktop configuration GUI
    When I click on save i get this error
    CDAUI2031 Invalid SMTP Server settings. Try again.
    I check with the exchage guys and on IMAP we are not doing SSL authentication.
    what else could be my problem ?

    Hi,
    Please have them disable TLS on the IMAP server and SMTP server if it is relevant. The email server cannot even advertise TLS and must only advertise basic authentication.

  • Anti-relay filter configuration issues

    Configuration issues with the anti-relay filter in Messaging Server 4.1x.
    The following information addresses common questions about configuration issues
    with the anti-relay filter in Messaging Server 4.1x:<BR>
    <P>
    <OL>
    <LI><B>Question:</B><BR>
    What is the difference between the delivery
    and submission
    options?<BR>
    <P>
    <B>Answer:</B><BR>
    The submission option
    allows specified users to send email to any email address in the world.
    These users are typically internal users.
    <P>
    The delivery option
    allows specified users to receive email from anybody. These users
    are also typically internal users.
    <P>
    A standard filter will appear something as follows:<BR>
    <P>
    # This is the anti-relay config file written by Jay at iPlanet
    # The first section sets default conditions
    resolvehostnames:0
    useauthinfo:0
    advertiseauthinfo:1
    # This section sets domains to be delivered to by anybody
    delivery:*@my.domain.com
    # This section sets domains that can send any place
    submission:129.12.4.*
    <P>
    <P>
    <LI><B>Question:</B><BR>
    The delivery
    option works properly. However, why doesn't the
    submission option
    appear to be allowing emails from specified users to pass through?
    <P>
    <B>Answer:</B><BR>
    The problem with the submission behavior could be due to the setting of the
    the resolvehostnames
    parameter. If this parameter is turned on
    (resolvehostnames:1),
    then <I>all</I> entries in this configuration file must be fully qualified
    host names. Although wildcards will work, you cannot specify IP
    addresses with this configuration setting.
    <P>
    <P>
    <LI><B>Question:</B><BR>
    Is it possible to allow people outside of my network to connect to the server
    and send mail out?
    <P>
    <B>Answer:</B><BR>
    Yes. To allow outside users to connect to the server and send mail
    to any address, without granting the same privilege to the rest of the world,
    activate the authenticated SMTP portion of the filter via the
    useauthinfo option.
    Setting this parameter to "1" (i.e., useauthinfo:1
    ) will require a user who is not in a
    submission address and who is attempting to send email to an address not in
    the delivery range to authenticate with a user ID and password.
    </OL>
    <P>
    For additional information on the anti-relay filter, please refer to the
    Messaging Server 4.1 Administrator's Guide at<BR>
    <P>
    http://docs.iplanet.com/docs/manuals/messaging/nms41/ag/ubefiltr.htm#1073677

    Prashant:
    Are you using a UBE filter to configure domain-based anti-relayinging? We had better luck with the anti-relay plug-in. There is some info on this (for 4.15) at
    http://docs.sun.com/source/816-6044-10/ubefiltr.htm#1069973
    You have to enable the plug-in using configutil, per the above. The anti-relay plug-in is controlled by antirelay.conf. Be aware that the pattern matching rules are very limited, and not well documented. Fortunately, the source code to the plug-in is included, and you can see what it is doing. To pass the tests we had to add a hard-coded test for a "%" in the source and recompile:
    *** antirelay.c.orig Thu Oct 31 04:42:13 2002
    --- antirelay.c Thu Oct 31 04:22:07 2002
    *** 934,939 ****
    --- 934,940 ----
    * Weight must be non-zero to begin with so that matches on just "*"
    * will work.
    + if( strchr(text,'%') != NULL ) return ABORT;
    weight = TRUE;
    for ( ; *p; text++, p++) {
    if (*text == '\0' && p != '')
    Not a really elegant hack, but we didn't need a fully functional regex engine.

  • Email send issue using "Mail Server Load balancer"  (Cisco ACE 20)

    Please let me know if someone have experienced this kind of issue or any suggestions.
    The send email action was working file in MII with smtp mail server on port 25. Recently basis did a change in mail server ip address and they installed a new Load Balancer . The Load balancer is between SMTP and MII. After this change MII does not send email (unknown source error). now MII send email action has ip address or qualified path of Load balancer in MII send email configuration instead of direct ip address of SMTP server. Below is the error message in Net Weaver logs.
    MII still sends email if direct ip address of email server  provided but not through email Load balancer .
    Any suggestions ?

  • Email notification issue in some schemas

    Hi,
    My problem is almost identical as here DBMS_SCHEDULER send email notification issue
    One privileged scheduler user - user1 receive email notifications while two another (user2, user3) no.
    More plot is below i know 'what' resolve the problem but don't know how to do it :-)
    I want to execute code below on user3 schema, we tried this successfully on user2 (code executed directly on schema with temporary sys.dbms_aq access) so he receive his notifications.
    Problem is - we do not have direct access to second account (user3) how to execute this code as user3 ?
    declare
      reginfo1    sys.aq$_reg_info;
      reginfolist sys.aq$_reg_info_list;
    begin
      reginfo1    := sys.aq$_reg_info('SYS.SCHEDULER$_EVENT_QUEUE:SCHED$_AGT2$_X',
                                      1,
                                      'plsql://SYS.SCHEDULER$_JOB_EVENT_HANDLER',
                                      null);
      reginfolist := sys.aq$_reg_info_list(reginfo1);
      dbms_aq.register(reginfolist, 1);
    end;
    Already tried create procedure on user3 and execute immediate annonymous block but it still register with USER# 1 not 3 in  DBA_QUEUE_SUBSCRIBERS.
    More detailed plot:
    Jobs for user2 and user3 was created by user1, so JOB_CREATOR was user1 but OWNER was user2 or user3.
    We started with notifications configuration witch was ended with error on both user2 and user3 accounts:
    ORA-24093: AQ agent SCHED$_AGT2$_XX not granted privileges of database user1
    W get rid wit this using
    dbms_aqadm.enable_db_access(SCHED$_AGT2$_2, user1);
    dbms_aqadm.enable_db_access(SCHED$_AGT2$_3, user1);
    So user1 get privilege on agents for user2 and user3
    I believe error was already there because DBMS_SCHEDULER.add_job_email_notification is more automatic it probably registered subscriber that belongs to user2 and user3 with wrong USER# ID that belongs to user1.
    Database is 11.2.0.3

    it doesn't work because notifications are set from user1 account so USER# is still 1 even when I removed record first.
    This is my aproach based on Ask Tom: On Becoming Others, Limits, and Restoration
    >sqlplus user1
    Connected to:
    Oracle Database 11g Enterprise Edition Release 11.2.0.3.0 - 64bit Production
    SQL> grant execute on sys.dbms_aq to user1;
    Grant succeeded.
    SQL> alter user user3 grant connect through user1;
    User altered.
    SQL> connect user1[user3]
    Enter password:
    Connected.
    SQL> create or replace procedure sched_not_add_q as
      2    reginfo1    sys.aq$_reg_info;
      3    reginfolist sys.aq$_reg_info_list;
      4  begin
      5    reginfo1    := sys.aq$_reg_info('SYS.SCHEDULER$_EVENT_QUEUE:SCHED$_AGT2$_3',
      6                                    1,
      7                                    'plsql://SYS.SCHEDULER$_JOB_EVENT_HANDLER',
      8                                    null);
      9    reginfolist := sys.aq$_reg_info_list(reginfo1);
    10    dbms_aq.register(reginfolist, 1);
    11  end;
    12  /
    Procedure created.
    SQL> exec sched_not_add_q;
    PL/SQL procedure successfully completed.
    SQL> drop procedure sched_not_add_q;
    Procedure dropped.
    SQL> connect user1
    Connected.
    SQL> revoke execute on sys.dbms_aq from user3;
    Revoke succeeded.
    SQL> alter user user3 revoke connect through user1;
    User altered.
    SQL> exit;
    >
    So it works now.

  • Empirix Emanager Email Notification Issue

    We are using Empirix Emanager version 8.20. We are having issues when we try to send out any report from Emanager as a email. We have made correct set up using using Empirix Administrator > Set up Email Configuration & we are able to get the test emails from Empirix Administrator. However, when we try to send any report as email to same email address from Empirix Emanager, we are receving below error message:
    "There were errors sending email, following exceptions occurred...
    javax.mail.SendFailedException: Sending failed; nested exception is: class
    Java.mail.MessagingException: 501 5.5.4 Invalid Address"
    Not able to understand why this error comes up and what the solution for this is? Does Empirix Administrtor Email config apply to Empirix Emanager as well? Or is there any other settings that need to be done Emails to work from Emanager. This is essential for us to work since we want the emails reports to be sent out once any Automated schedule scripts completes execution.
    Thanks in Advance,
    Vinu

    Vinu
    Are you sure that the email address is correct, the error message says: +: 501 5.5.4 Invalid Address+

  • Email Notification issue

    Hi,
    Just wondering if someone could help with the email configuration in Planning?
    All the fields/properties have been populated (SMTP server details / email address) and these have been tested using telnet at the command line. However, when I expect Planning to send a notification nothing happens.
    The application server has antivirus software running and I was wondering what port Planning uses to send emails and whether this may be blocked by the AV? For information, we're using Lotus Notes.
    Thanks in advance.
    Mark

    Hi John et al
    Finally resolved the issue by using the IP address for the SMTP. We also, recycled the Planning service and used the DNS. So looks like it was something to do with DNS caching within the Planning Service.

  • EWA Email Configuration

    Dear all,
    I need your help in sending the EWA Report automatically.
    I have added the Email recipient in T-code DSWP under my solution.
    Also I have configured in T-code SCOT.
    For test purpose I manually generated a EWA Report and after the background job SM :EXEC SERVICES, I checked the status of the mail in T-code SCOT,the mail is in waiting state for a long time but when I click on "Start Send proc for Selection", the mail is getting delivered.
    Now what should be done to make it automatic?
    Thanks,
    Regards,
    Hasan
    NOTE : i referred this thread too.
    EarlyWatch Individual Email Configuration - configure email transmission

    Dear all,
    The Issue is solved now.
    I can able to send email to the corresponding recipient automatically.
    I had problem with two things which created this issue.
    Firstly i re-scheduled the SAPCONNECT job in T-code SCOT and then I scheduled the background job SM : EXEC SERVICES correctly, which turned the bottle icon into a report icon after few minutes. N later the Email was sent.
    Thank You for all your support

  • CRM2013: EMail Configuration Madness

    We have CRM2013 deployed, but we are having a number of issues with email configuration. Some of these problems have been down to security and not getting the correct settings, but we are still having issues and I've now decided to go back to basic and start
    again.
    We are trying to get the Email Router working for outbound mail (as not all our users have Outlook available). At some point other colleagues have tried getting the Server-Side sync working rather than e-mail router.
    Now I've got involved I want to return to what I know, and that's the good old Email Router. The question I have is do you still need an "Email Server Profile" setting up in CRM if you're going to use the email router service. The documentation
    is ambiguous on this matter with the following paragraph suggesting you do, but is this only for Server-Side Sync?
    "Email server profiles in Microsoft Dynamics CRM store settings
    that are used by server-side synchronization to connect to an email server and process email for the associated mailboxes. You must configure at least one email server profile to process email for your CRM organization. Depending on the complexity of your
    organization’s email system, you may have to create multiple email server profiles."
    What is the latest opinion on Email Router vs Server-Side Sync and management?Any
    pointers gratefully received.
    Steve

    email router remains the same from previous versions. Email Server Profile is applicable only for server side synchronization.

    Hi JBKL, and a warm welcome to the forums!
    For the Ethernet Location... Is that Interface dragged to the top of Network>Show:>Network Port Configurations?
    It may be that the Router needs a Firmware update to keep up with the OS Updates... check online, don't trust any automatic checking feature in the Router.
    Where are we now?

    Ram,

    *You can configure Acknowledge
    In SAPconnect administration (transaction SCOT), choose Settings -> Confirmation of receipt.
    You have a choice of two settings:
    Confirmation of receipt as a rule and select below Option
    Confirmation of receipt as a rule
    Select SAPconnect expects confirmation of receipt of Internet mails.
    If necessary, specify recipients or Internet domains that are not expected to send confirmation of receipt.
    Confirmation of receipt as an exception
    Select SAPconnect does not expect confirmation of receipt of Internet mails.

    2) how to configure an automatic reprocessing of all messages that failed, that is I send a message from a SAP system to an email address but it fails, is there any way to sent again this message automatically in SOST?
    Try the program RSSOSOSTSTAT and create a Variant "Only Errors" and try to schedule in the background (You need to decide on how frequent you want to run the job)
    3)how to resend the undelivered messages again to the failed recipent?
    If the Recipient is failed, it  might be due to various reasons...
    Person might have left the company

    You might need to fix the issue manually for 3rd point.

  • Android 2.2 update coming in early September- Will it address the email notification issues??

    The upcoming Android 2.2 update for Droid X. Will this update address the email notifications issues?? I don't have a corporate email account, but use my Droid X for my personal business. I love this phone but the email is annoying. The emails are not coming through quick enough, I don't get notified when new email arrives. I have to do a refresh to lear that I have new emails in my inbox.
    I want like to know if the upcoming 2.2 update will address these issues for personal email like aol, yahoo etc. I know they mentioned something about exchange servers being faster. This is a disappointment for me, I thought I have push email with Droid X but not really. Can Verizon comment on this?
    Thanks,

    I did all those, ie. set my email config to push email, battery on performance mode, check my outgoing and incoming servers and ports. All are corect settings, I even configured all my aol accounts with gmail settings to see if that would work but still not getting push emails. I even did a factory reset. I know this is an issue because I also checked Motorola support forums, a lot people were experiencing what I am going except that I think most them have corporate email and exchange issues.
    I don't know whether this could be addressed with the upcoming 2.2 update not just for corporate but personal emails as well, VERIZON ? Motorola??
    Thanks

  • Configuration Issue in User Mapping ..

    Hi,
    Pls help resolve this issue..
    When i go to <b>" UserMapping "</b> option using the <b>"Personalize "</b> link , i get the following error msg..
    "There is a configuration issue which leads to problem when accessing user mapping data for the selected backend system"
    Also , if i go thru "User Administration -> User Mapping "
    then it says,
    --"There is a configuration issue which leads to problem when accessing user mapping data for the selected backend system  .
    Usually reason is user mapping being configured for Strong encryption, but necessary additional files might be missing.Check Security log file for information "--
    I am not able to solve this problem..Pls help
    Thanks in advance

    Hi Venkat,
    <b>Here the quick and dirty solution</b>:
    In your portal go to 'System Administration' -> 'System Configuration' -> 'UM Configuration' -> 'Direct Editing'.
    There locate the parameter 'ume.usermapping.unsecure', set it to 'TRUE' and restart your server.
    I would rather recommend to install the unlimited strength jurisdiction policy files.
    For more info on this, check this thread:
    JCE Jurisdiction does not allow Portal to start
    Hope this helps,

    The part of snmp has set up successfully but cannot send the syslog to the cacti.
    My client want the syslog can keep on the localhost and send to cacti for monitoring

    Insert the information (*.* @10.251.99.74) in /etc/syslog.conf
    Restart service of system-log
    Deleted all word of loghost in the /etc/hosts file
    But still not work. Anyone can give me suggestion or idea about this?

    Thank you for your reply.
    It is tab. But I think the problem is solaris cannot use *.* to represent all logs.
