Lr4 - I can't find the whitening teeth brush preset anymore? Was it removed?? How can I get it back? Please help.
I remember I used to have it because I used to use a lot, but now is gone.
I don't think it was removed - I still have it in Lr5 and never created it myself.
It should be in ...lr-app-data.../Local Adjustment Presets, which is adjacent to all your other preset & preference folders..
You can try restoring Lr defaults - presets tab of Lr preferences dialog box.
PS - It's just: exposure .4 & saturation: -60.

I was trying to customize my page but then Firefox became completely unavailable. It only gives this message, along with 'trouble finding page': Firefox can't find the file at place:sort=8&maxResults=10. I tried rebooting and then reinstalling Firefox but the same message recurs. I can only get to the web now by using Internet Explorer which I don't like. But I may have to switch to it anyway.

i had to replace my hard drive so just got computer back and had to download new i-tunes soft ware but none of my purcased t.v. shows or movies will show up how do i get"em back.....?

Follow the instructions in this article, open the iPod in the My Computer window, and drag the episodes to the Recycle Bin. Music, videos, and podcasts placed onto the iPod outside of an iPod-specific file manager such as iTunes are not usable on the iPod.

The notes section in all of my contacts disappeared. how do I get them back? Help!
All of the notes in my Contacts dissapeared. How do I get them back??!! I rebooted my phone. Also, although my iPhone 4S is marked in settings to back up my contacts to iCloud, there were NO contacts saved...now what...?
Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Repair Database. If that doesn't help, then try again, this time using Rebuild Database.
If that fails:
Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. (In Library Manager it's the FIle -> Rebuild command)
This will create an entirely new library. It will then copy (or try to) your photos and all the associated metadata and versions to this new Library, and arrange it as close as it can to what you had in the damaged Library. It does this based on information it finds in the iPhoto sharing mechanism - but that means that things not shared won't be there, so no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your events, albums and keywords, faces and places back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.

HT1420 I can't find the "authorize this computer" button in updated itunes. How can I do it?
I cannot find the place to authorize my computer for iTunes. The link given by Apple's support team is not helpful--the updated iTunes doesn't show the same screen or information as I had in an older version of iTunes. I would really like some help because Apple's support team isn't giving me any more new information than I already had in the first place. All they gave me was a link to a page on their website about authorization/de-authorization that I've visited before, to no avail.
If you are on a Mac then it should be in the same place as on previous version e.g. on my Mac on iTunes 11

Justina588You have to already be running iOS 5 in order to update OTA with WiFi. You are obviously not running iOS 5 yet. You will need to update via iTunes on a computer, running the most recent version of iTunes. Read more about it here.

The latest iTunes may hide the sidebar. To show the sidebar, from the menu bar, under View, select Show Sidebar.
With the sidebar visible, when you connect the iPod, does it appear in the sidebar, under DEVICES? -

The governments in some middle eastern countries have banned Facetime and it is disabled on iphones purchased in those countries. The countries include KAS, UAE and others. There is no way to get Facetime on such phones (for example it cannot be downloaded and installed) and taking the phone to another country does not cause Facetime to reappear on such phones. In support.apple.com/kb/ts3367 it says “Note: FaceTime may not be available, or may become unavailable, on devices purchased or used in certain countries, including Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. If you mean activating it as far as using it on your phone plan, then you're going to have to go to your cell provider and have them do that for you and add the device to your current plan. Otherwise without activating it, the most your iPhone will be, is a thick iPod. Of course with wifi, you could still send iMessages, but that's the extent without adding it to a cell plan.

iCloud does not store messages for you to see/access at icloud.com. It does back up messages so you can restore your iPhone if it ever needs to be reset to factory default. A backup is an image of all your data on the iPhone, and if you delete some messages, then they won't be part of any further backups.
If two people use the same iCloud account, then their devices are kept in sync, just like a single user's multiple devices are kept in sync. It's usually a good idea to have separate accounts for two people, since it's rarely the case that they want each phone to be an exact replica of the other.
Your iphone syncs contacts, events, camera roll, and many other things without the use of a computer.
