LR4 LS11.exe not a valid Win32 app

I downloaded the file Lightroom_4_LS11.exe.  When I start the file I get the error message "Lightroom_4_LS11.exe is not a valid Win32 application".  I have downloaded severa times, turned off virus protection SW, and rebooted.  Nothing seems to make a difference.  How do I get this file to run?

Windows 7.
I downloaded the file a few more times and it finally ran without the error.  I have no idea why it took so many attempts.

  • Setup not a valid Win32 app

I just cleaned out my HD and reinstalled Windows XP. In trying to install iTunes I get a message saying that the ITunesSetup.exe is not a valid Win32 app, and the installation doesn't happen.

Most folks have seen this caused by bad wireless router settings. They connected directly to their cable modem and were able to download a valid setup file, after bypassing the wireless router. Perhaps that will work for you.
Another idea is to find a friend who was able to download it successfully, and copy iTunesSetup.exe from their PC to a USB stick, so you can get it on your PC.

  • HT1926 I followed the troubleshoot for iTunes setup.exe is not a valid win32 app; even uninstalled QTime; reinstalled QT; then tried itunes ; no success any ideas? Windows IE8 version on PC

I followed the troubleshoot for iTunes and get message the iTunes setup.exe is not a valid Win32 application. I remove QuickTime and reinstalled QT, then tried iTunes install with no success. Any ideas?

Perhaps try downloading and saving a copy of the installer to a different (32-bit) PC. Copy the iTunesSetup.exe installer to an external hard-drive, or a large-enough thumb drive or burn it to a CD-R. Carry the installer back to your PC, copy the installer to your hard drive. (Don't run the install from the ExHD, thumb or CD-R.) Start the install by doubleclicking the iTunesSetup.exe file.

  • ITunesSetup.exe not a valid WIN32 Application????

I've been deployed to Afghanistan for the past 13 months and have another 4 to go. I'm trying to download Itunes 7.0.2 and when I go to install it I get an error that reads ITunesSetup.exe is not a valid WIN32 application. What the **** does this mean. I only have a couple of days to get this fixed and my Ipod crashed with that RavMon virus lastnight. Anyone please help

I had the very same problem with installing, and have no idea what it means. I've searched all over support, and asked the very same question about 4 months back.
One odd thing about it, though. It didn't seem to make a difference when installing. The installer would get partially finished, and the error would appear. The installer would then start "rolling back actions" and when you would think it would close, it would start back up again. I have no idea why, but the installation completed normally, and my itunes works fine.
If it doesn't work the first time, try it a couple more times. That's what happened with me.

  • IPodSetup.exe "Not a Valid Win32 Application"

We have a PC running Windows XP SP2, and when I download the iPod Updater we receive an error when we try to run the executable:
    iPodSetup.exe is Not a Valid Win32 Application.
My windows is up to date, and I've cleaned out my temporary files. Has anyone else has this happen?

    Hurrah! just downloaded it!
I ran a search on pc of all files for "ipod" and deleted all of the previous downloads of the latest updater we have been trying to use, including the ones i had sent to the recycle bin and then downloaded again, it did the proper download thing again (progress bar). selected run instead of save and Hey Presto it worked.
    Good luck

  • The FF 3.6.13 install download fails - "not a valid win32 app"?

I downloaded the latest FF installation (3.6.13) saving it to a local file. The file fails to execute and displays the following message ".../Firefox Setup 3.6.13.exe is not a valid Win32 application. I tried running the download instead of saving it and received the same message.

Hi and Welcome to the Forums!
Are you on Vista? If so, be sure to use the "Run As Administrator" option on everything you execute when you initiate the installation.
If you are on XP, make sure you are logged into an account with full local administrative rights.
    Otherwise, try a clean uninstall:

  • ITunes 7.6 setup.exe not a valid Win32 program

My son just purchased a 3rd gen Nano and needs to upgrade his iTunes to 7.6. We have completed the download, but when we try to run it we get an error message saying it is not a valid Win32 program. 7.6 systems requirements state that it is supported by Windows XP 32 bit. We are running Windows XP SP2.

Try the instructions in this article.

  • Itunessetup.exe not a valid Win32 application - can't run exe file -

    I have the same pb.
    Can anybody help ?
    thks

Hope that you find a resolution to the problem during the visit to the Apple store. However if not, I would suggest you should reconsider buying a new PC. As this seems to be a common problem it suggests there is a problem with the iTunes software itself, not your PC.
Although it's not an ideal you could try reinstalling your operating system, however personally I think I'm going to wait a while and see if Apple come up with a solution to the problem.
    Good luck.

    Hi,
If you have security software (antivirus, firewall etc.) you can try to temporarily disable it for a few minutes, visit a safe site (e.g. https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird), download and check. Please also see [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Firewalls#Firewall_pitfalls this].
If it works you can then try deleting all existing instances of Firefox and its related processes/files in all the different configuration modules/areas of the security software like process monitoring, sub/spawned process control, virtualization, HIPS etc., in addition to the security software's main configuration panel. Instead create new fully allowed/trusted rules for Firefox + its related processes in all the different modules/panels - a genuine/original Firefox installer as well as all the installed EXEs (Application) and DLLs (Application extension) are digitally signed by Mozilla Corporation (right-click > Properties > Digital Signatures). Even otherwise, some security software may also ask again when Firefox and/or its sub processes are started, and you may be able to allow/trust at that time. Please see [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/Firewalls this].

  • 'mymusic/itunes.exe is not a valid win32 application' **help needed** !!

As i double click on the desktop shortcut to open itunes, i get an error message which is the following: 'mymusic/itunes.exe is not a valid win32 application'. I now cannot access itunes or any of my media/music!
Background... I updated to the latest version of itunes, downloaded a few apps and music and re-synced my iPod touch. I then clicked on itunes store, and itunes just closed down and would then not reopen and now repeats the error message everytime.
I have attempted to repair itunes by downloading the setup software again, i have also tried removing itunes from my pc with the intention to re-install all over again, however it wont let me uninstall itunes either!!
    Anybody have any suggestions?

Can you open iTunes if you go to Program Files\iTunes and double click on iTunes.exe.
If so, you can create a new short cut by right clicking on iTunes.exe and selecting Send to>>Desk top(create short cut)
