Lr5 fails to export my images to facebook

Hi all,
Setting up, authentication and exporting my first album went without a problem. That is ... just once and thereafter something is not working anymore.
The facebooklr5 log states : "This plug-in’s post-processing task did not finish successfully. Facebook authentication check failed."
Is there someone who can help me on how to fix this? I did some research and the culprit seems to be the facebook software. Is there any solution available?
Best regards,
Jos

Are you using pirated version ?

  • I use Adobe lightroom to export images to Facebook - I am now getting error message related to this process address not understood- how to correct?

I am using Win & Home edition / Mozilla Firefox on my HP laptop. On Oct 8 I used Lightroom to export images to Facebook. Now when I try to repeat this, authentication fails as The address wasn't understood
Firefox doesn't know how to open this address, because one of the following protocols (lightroom) isn't associated with any program or is not allowed in this context.
The export process was working, but isn't now. I have ben having problems with Firefox - I wasn't able to retain the settings for opening with my own Homepage (kept going back to Firefox default. So I have done a reset. Seems that this has somehow disrupted the authentication process. Can you help please.

I just dropped into the forums to see if other people were getting the DVD burning verification error (Error code 0x80020063). I've been holding off on the Tiger to Leopard upgrade until very recently. All of my must-have apps were anecdotally stable and I was under the impression that 10.5 was too. Apparently reliable DVD burning is Tiger only, at least on my systems.
We've been burning Taiyo Yuden DVD's almost daily with Tiger with incredibly low failure rates. After what seemed to be a smooth upgrade of a Mac Pro tower & 2 MacBook Pro laptops (one is a Core Duo and the other is a Core 2 Duo) I've spent the entire afternoon troubleshooting until I ended up here. Some searching on the board leads me to conclude that this will be a bigger headache than I imagined.
I've done all the obvious stuff (varied the burn speed, moved the files to a different drive, reset PRAM & SMC, used a different account, deleted finder.plist, tried repairing the system with DU on the Leopard install disc and then I tried burning on different computers with different media). What I'm finding is that over 50% of my DVD's are throwing the error code during verification across 3 different models all running Leopard 10.5.2. CD burning seems to work as before (but we don't use this as much so ?). I saw that some people had posted that closing the finder window helped, but that didn't improve my overall failure rate. The DVD's appear (indentical byte size and item numbers) to be burned correctly and usable, but I need to be sure so I can't trust them.
We need reliable DVD burning for our business and this is a real problem. I was going to trudge over to the Apple store, but it doesn't sound like there's a real fix yet.

  • Vista/Adobe 9/sql image Error in Crystal Report:Failed to Export the Report

When I try to export my Crystal Report (v2008) from a Vista machine (using Crystal RDC export methods) as a PDF, I get the following error:
Error in Crystal Report:  Failed to export the report.
This only happens when a particular subreport (that contains a sql image) prints (based on an input parameter).  We have other subreports (within this same report) that print a sql image just fine.  But, when this subreport prints, the above error appears.
I can run the same report on an XP machine without error.
Exportmodeller.dll and crtsv.dll are both installed and registered to the
    C:\Program Files\Common Files\Business Objects\3.0\bin folder
I have tried opening the report, removing the image, and then adding it back in again to the subreport.
    Still receive the same error.
    Any suggestions?

    Don,
    Can you please clarify?
Our VB6 app that uses Crystal XI RDC runtime components.  Our Crystal reports are edited in CR2008 SP1 developer edition (not through the VB.NET embedded report designer).  We have deployed the CRXIRelease 2 runtime components (via the merge module) to our client machines in order to execute the RDC.
We can print/preview/export to excel, but the pdf creation is failing with this error.
We are only using the RDC (which we know is no longer supported) because of huge issues with the Crystal for .NET methods we are having with our customers (I have an active case for this issue).  Therefore, we have to rollback our .NET product and revert to the RDC code.
Vista is failing to create a PDF for a report developed in the CR2008 SP1 developer edition when using the RDC.
When you say  "Also, those old dll's will not work in CR 2008. Last patches will give you the option to export to Excel in Legacy mode. We built it into our export dll.", what do you mean by "will not work in CR2008"?

  • Error "Failed to Export PDF" with big image on CS6 (32) and CC (64)

    Hi everyone,
I'm on indesign CS6 (v8.0.2) and when I try to export pdf with a very big image ( *.tiff, 25000*35000 pixels, ) , the action failed with this message :" Failed to export a PDF".
To be sure that there is no any corrupted elements, I made a very simple layout (one page , and just one element for my image,I turnoff prefilgth and all  ressource intensive options, and export with no downsampling or resampling) and try to export with different size image:with 20000*30000 -or smaller -image the export works, always failed with image .The export failed to in scripting mode.
If I diveded my image in four , the export works but this solution is not convenient (I actually made tests for a fully automatised process, and we want to be sure that the indesign  component is  enough "safe")
I try the same action with an evaluation version of indesign CC 64 bits (v9.2) and have the same behavior.
I can imagine that there is a memory issue there, but my config seems to be strong ( windows server 64 with  16GB ram, DD with more than 100GB free). I don't undersant why-in a "full" 64 bit environnement- it is not possible to manipulate and export very large image ?
I'm wonder If the background task is a part of the problem, and if it 's possible to disable it in CS6 or CC as in cs5 ( creates an  “DisableAsyncExports.txt” file in  Adobe InDesign executable directoty don't seems to disable it  in CC or CS6).
Thank you for your help and good ideas..
    DC.

this is a .tif (not a "big"tiff) compressed in LZW or ZIP.
I just tried with another format (png), the error is the same...

  • The export operation failed to create an image file

I've been experiencing bizarre behavior when attempting to export images to my Usb-connected card reader. After reading some threads on this form, I was convinced that my reader was defective. Same problem on a brand-new reader.
The specific behavior was as follows: I attempted to export roughly 150 custom-named 500 KB image files to the memory card. The last 15 or so failed to transfer and I got the message, "the export operation failed to create an image file for the versions identified below."
Trashing VP list didn't help. What did was changing the custom name. There was nothing particularly unusual about the original custom name and the new one was virtually identical. After changing the name, the export worked without a hitch.
Has anyone experienced similar behavior? Any ideas what's going on?

problem was that the NEW card reader was faulty as well. My luck!

  • Failed to export images with droplet

I've Created a droplet and tested it successfully in Photoshop, then I use this droplet by select it in Post-Processing when I export DNG to TIFF in Lightroom, but there's a problem:
    1. If PS is not opened when I'm exporting images in LR, the droplet will work well, i'll get an processed TIFF
    2. If PS is opened before  I'm exporting images in LR, the droplet won't work, then I get an unprocessed TIFF
Due to Situation 1, if PS is not opened when I'm exporting images and I tried to exported 30 images with droplet, finally I'll get only ONE image successfully processed, because PS was opened when LR export the  first image.
Is there any solution for this problem?
    Thanks!!

Thanks for reply. I think I found out the solution but I still not sure what the problem is.
At the first time, I choose "Edit in Photoshop" in Lightroom to Open the DNG file in PS, then I start recording actions, and end up these actions with "cmd-S" & "cmd-W", this proccessed image won't save to the original file (because that's a DNG), it will save to a new PSD file next to the DNG. I think this is why when I use this Droplet to proccess other images, it can't complete the proccess.
So the solution is to create droplet in a normal way, open images (not DNG or other RAW files) from Photoshop instead of Lightroom, so that the file could be saved to it's original file.
In my workflow, I export DNG images to TIFF and select droplet in Post-Proccessing, so after export these images, LR will put them into the droplet, I'll get the result by just one click. I also check "Add to This Catalog" so I can adjust them in LR later.
    Thanks a lot!!

  • Failed to Export pdf despite having done so very recently?

I'm currently putting together a 60 page book and for weeks previously, I've been able to export it as a high quality pdf for test prints and analysis but for some reason last night, when I put in the final image for the book, it gives me this 'Failed to Export Pdf' message, despite me making a pdf of the final-imageless version a half hour ago. When I removed the final image from the document, it still gives me the same error message. When I tried to hunt down what page is giving it the most problem, it seemed to be a page that was previously just fine according to inDesign? And when I tried to work with an older version of the document to see if I can work from that one, it gives me the same problem. It SHOULD be fine but for some reason it isn't.
    I use Windows 7 and I have inDesign CS2.

Asiide from CS2 not being supported on Windows 7, so you're pretty much on your own, see Adobe Community: File Crashing on Output - printing/PDF/other for troubleshooting tips.

  • "Failed to Export PDF"

    Dear Friends,
when trying to export a document in Indesign CS4 as PDF-file, I get an error message:
    Adobe InDesign
    Failed to Export PDF.
    OK
After dismissing this dialog, the export-process quits and no PDF-file is created.
There aren't any further notice-, warning- or error messages.
The document itself should be valid, no links are missing or update-needing and all in used fonts are available on the system Indesign is running.
I had already searched for a solution, or at least a reason for this error message, and found the following pages, dealing with that error message:
"Failed to Export PDF" when you downsample large images while exporting to PDF (InDesign)
I disabled downsampling in PDF-export dialogue as it is mentioned in the help file, but the error message still occures.
InDesign error "failed to export the pdf file"
I ungrouped everything by selecting all objects on each of these two pages and ungrouping as many times as the option was available as it is described on the page, but the error still stays.
Interestingly, removing the second sheet (=page) of this originally two sheet consisting Indesign document leads to a successful PDF-document export.
But I want to export both sheets, not only the first one, into one single PDF-document.
So there must be probably something on sheet number two which prevents a successful PDF-document export resulting in the error message mentioned above.
Because there are no further informations provided except that the export failed, it is not very easy to track down the reason for this problem.
Is there a log file for export or general application issues?
Maybe you have also experienced this error during the past and maybe even know some walkaround or hint which could lead to the reason?
Thank you for your answers in advance!
    With best regards
    Inno

    Thank you for your answers!
Exporting page 2 alone leads to an PDF-export-error.
The error happens when PDF-file finalization is in progress.
I found out that embedded PSD-files caused the problem.
After un-embedding them, the PDF-export worked well, also for both pages.
Now however, there are still some questions open:
Why do embedded PSD-files cause an export-failure during PDF-export?
Why aren't any information given to user about this failure?
    With best regards

  • "Content generation error. Failed to Export the PDF file"

Building a multi-folio in InDesign 6 Folio Builder V30. Received "Content generation error. Failed to Export the PDF file" on several of the spreads. I have tried reducing the original pdf files sizes, but that did not help.

I'm very new to DPS so I hope the following description makes some kind of sense.
My magazine is in the process of doing trial runs for an iPad edition. I'm setting some templates up for us to work off so the process from magazine to iPad will run a lot smoother month to month.
So far I've set up some dummy stock pages in an InDesign CS6 document, currently 15 pages long.
All images are linked and all fonts have paragraph styles applied to them.
I'm at the stage I want to check the document on my iPad to test run font sizes and their legibility.
We have successfully been able to export the document as a jpg file but we really need the PDF format. When attempting this we get the above message.

  • Lightroom Fails to Export Random Files

I'm on a Power Mac PC running OS 10.4.9. Lightroom fails to import and export images on a random basis. Wow! As a wedding photographer who has to process large batches at once this flaw is absolutely fatal. Is there a bug fix in the works, or do I just have to stop using this software?
I don't have any of these problems in Bridge which batches images wonderfully. I can't help thinking of the slogan on lightroom that goes "lightroom is for the many and photoshop is for the one" I guess that's true if I have to export one image at a time to edit in photoshop without dropping photos. But, I'm one of those crazy people who still sees a benifit to sharpening, retouching, and contrast tweaking in photoshop in large batches.

Perhaps this is not a bug but some incompatibility within your system.
Where do you import from? What types of files? Using a cardreader? What brand? Which import process are you using and where are you importing to?
What process do you use to export, to what file format? What, exactly, happens when LR "fails", do you get an error message? Nothing?

  • Pages fails to export PDF

I am receiving an "Unable to print" error when I attempt to export a document to PDF format. The PDF appears in Finder, but has a zero file size. I have run into this problem only recently, as I was able to export PDFs of similar documents before (about a month ago.) Does anyone know why this may be happening?

I tried this with a new - blank Pages file with just one word on it. It still fails to export with a "print error". The work around of using Print and saving as a PDF does not address my problem. I want to Export to PDF so that my Links and bookmarks are preserved in PDF. Printing only gets the image of my Pages file to PDF but with no special features.
Has anyone resolved this export problem yet? Could it be a bad or corupt preference file or similar system file conflict. I have seen sometimes where in some apps you can delete certain preferences and resources and then re-run to correct the problem..... could this apply to Pages and what would be removed to make it work?

  • General Error; failed to render the timeline and failed to export HD mpg2

I have searched for the posts if there is same issue I'm having on the forum, and it seems it's similar yet not really...
So I decided to post one.
I have 2100 sequential frames in jpgs. (each jpg size is 1280x720)
I open "image sequence" in QT 7.04 with 29.97 fps, then save it as MOV in external HD with firewire.
Then I import it into FCP 5.04 on Timeline.
    Timeline setting is
    Frame Size : 1280x720 HDTV 720P (16:9)
Pixel Aspect Ratio : Square uncheck Anamorphic 16:9
    Filed Dominance : None
    Editing Timebase : 29.97
Quick time Vieo Setting : Compressor -DVCPRO HD 720P60 Quality 100%
After I place the mov file on the timeline, the Red Bar shows up.
I tried to render the timeline, it will only try to render to 3% and stop, and "general error" pops up.
I tried to use Compressor 2.01 with HD mpg2 preset to export out as HD mpg2 format, and it will fail to export.
After I read several posts on here, I was wondering I might have corrupted mov...
I re-create MOV file from QT and import in FCP5 and do the same... but I still get the same error...
I tried to re-start computer and tried, no luck..
Then I was wondering maybe some of the jpgs is corrupted...
I'm not sure how to check which jpg file is corrputed since there is 2100 frames in directory.
It is able to show all jpgs as thumbnail images..
    So my questions here.. are...
If I do anything wrong during the step?
If not... what's wrong? why i can't render the timeline, and why i can't export to HD?
Or if there is a "way" to figure out what file is corrupted..?
This is not first time I have the same problem, I even tried to test out with 10,000 jpgs frames and create mov ... and import in FCP5..etc...
I had no problem with render and export... so I don't think it's the "HD length" issue...
If anyone have the same issue or know what's wrong... please help!!!
    Thank you,

I downloaded iview Media pro free trial version to catalog the image to see if there is any corrupted jpgs.
Unfortunately, it didn't find any corrupted jpgs.
I also tried to change the sequence setting, under "QuickTime Video Setting" from "DVCPRO HD 720p60" to "HDV 720p30" (since I found out the frame size for DVCPRO HD 720p60 is 960x720 with 59.99 fps).
The result I get after I placed mov on timeline, it used to give red bar, it gave me orange bar... which made me be able to render the timeline without problem.
However, Compressor still is not able to export HD mpg2.
Then I changed QuickTime Video Setting from HDV 720p30 to "photo-jpg", the bar is now grey, but still not able to export to HD mpg2.
    now I don't really don't know what's going on.
anyone can suggest me what else I can try and see...??

  • Failed to export to pdf - need help in understanding adobe advice

my indesign document failed to export to pdf, therefore I looked up the indesign help - see below; I could not find where to proceed after point 2 / would anyone help?
    thank you
Solution 2: Downsample the images after export using  Acrobat.
Choose File > Export and select  PDF as your format, choose a location and click Save.
In the Export PDF dialog box, disable the image downsampling  options.
Open the resulting PDF in Acrobat.
    Choose Advanced > PDF Optimizer.
Set the downsampling options you desire in the Image Settings pane.
Disable any other options that are not needed.
Click OK and choose the name and location to save the file.

I'm going to assume you actually are unable to accomplish/understand step 2 as opposed to not knowing how to open the resulting pdf.
See screen shot - use the pull down menus under compression for Color Images, Grayscale Images and Monochrome Images - Select Do Not Downsample. Although, I think the Help file has you chasing your tail.

  • Aperature failed to export project

I have been working with Aperature 2.1.4 for quite some time and have exported numerous projects in the past without problem. I am currently trying to export a project (wedding photography) and it goes through all the motions when watching the activity window but when it gets to the end, instead of giving me the message that the project was exported successfully, it tells me it has FAILED to export. I have split the project into several projects to try to troubleshoot what images are causing problems. I was able to successfully export two of the smaller split projects, but six remain and they all continue to fail on export.
I'm hopeful I don't have to go through one-by-one because I'm trying to get this project (currently working off a library on my machine) back into my large "master" library on my external hard drive. Am I missing something?
    Appreciate any responses.
    Kristen

Thanks, Rick, for getting back to me so quickly and for your welcome to the forums.
As far as your questions... I guess I'm not as familiar with the process as I should be. Basically, I can tell you that I imported the images from my Nikon D700 directly into the library they are currently in - on my Macbook Pro. I did all the editing directly in Aperature except for a few images I edited in Photoshop by right-clicking and editing in Photoshop. I did try removing those images and exporting the project and still failed to export. So, from the way I understand it, they consist of the RAW images that I imported off of my camera as the masters and then the edited images... all contained within Aperature. The destination where I'm exporting to is a firewire connected Western Digital hard drive with no complications and 500GB available, so that shouldn't be the problem. I've troubleshot it as much as I can and am just baffled. Hoping someone can help me here!
Thanks again for your interest in helping.
