LR5 in Creative Cloud.  Acitvate?

I have Creative Cloud installed for a few weeks.  Yesterday installed LR5.  It keeps asking me if I want to buy or try.  How do I activate it from within Creative Cloud without entering a new serial # ?

I am sorry to be obtuse, but this is not very clear.
I have Adobe Application Manager installed on my computer.  When I click on the icon and start AAM I do not have to sign in.
When I display ALL there is a list of about 16 products which I could install, some of which I have, but no mention of LR.  When I click on Updates there are none.
I have uninstalled LR4 and 5 and tried everything again.
Then I tried approaching it from the web.  I go to adobe.com but I cannot find a way to access LR5 from within CC.
The Adobe website is the most confusing I have ever found.  It takes you in circles.
Have they for some reason omitted LR5 from the CC offerings?  Should I just use the trial version hoping that they will get their heads straight before it expires?
I am using a Core i7 w 16gb, Win 8, loads of disk space.  Lr 4.4 and 5b were working just fine until these improvements.

You need to install it with Adobe Application Manager. You sign into your CC account with AAM, and the application lists all the applications that can be updated or installed.
I suspect you'll need to re-install the LR5 with AAM. I had a stand alone LR4 installed prior to purchasing the CC subscription. AAM didn't recognize my version of LR4 untill I removed it and re-installed with AAM.

  • Update LR5 using Creative Cloud

I had to move LR5 to another computer do to failure.
It reinstalled normally and I used KEY to register it and no problems UNTIL I tried to update to 5.7.
Using CC LR5 says "TRY" instead of "UPDATE". How do I Correct this problem?
I cannot seem to find alternative way to update.

Do you have the Photography Plan that includes LR+PS for $10/month (US) or do you have the serial-number-activated LR?
If you have the serial-number licensed version of LR then download the latest update from here:

  • LR5 on creative cloud - best way to share images and catalogs with team members

I want to establish a central image library of product photos.  I need team members to be able to see these images.  I have a CC account for teams.
Sould I creae a file repository in the Cloud and then create local LR catalogs for each person on their local machines...or can I also create a single catalog, stor it in the cloud and have everyone be able to open it locally?
There is quite a lot of contradictory info on this out there!
Any help or better suggestions, would be very welcome.
    Thanks,
    Andrew

Lightroom is not designed to be used by multiple users. A Lightroom Catalog can only be in use by a single user at any point in time. When a Lightroom Catalog is opened the program creates a  file with the catalog name and with a .lock extension. This file prevents any use of the Catalog file and will automatically be deleted when Lightroom is closed. See the screen capture.
To be specific a "Lightroom License" is a single user license so if there are more than one user, a license would need to be purchased for each user.
In addition the Catalog file cannot be resident on a network it requires a physical connect to the computer.
The actual image files can be on a network so that part should not create a problem.

  • If I join the photoshop creative cloud today, do I get the LR5

Or do I need to use my current LR4 and buy LR5.
Also, is that HK$148 per month for 1 year good for next year or it is an introduction price?

    Hi there
Lightroom 5 is now available as part of the complete Creative Cloud membership.
If you only purchase Photoshop as a Single App membership you will not have access to Lightroom.
Please check here for plans/pricing: https://creative.adobe.com/plans

I'm using a Mac.  I "upgraded" to LR5 from LR4.  I do not want to be a member of the "Creative Cloud".  I just want to use the software I purchased, specifically to upload to my SmugMug account.  Is there a way to use an add-on to do this?  Aperture and LR4 were easy but I'm finding it impossible without subscribing to CC.

Sorry, maybe I don't understand, but why do you feel compelled to subscribe to CC if you already have a permanent Lightroom 5 licence?
For the SmugMug plugin, a simple Google search ("smugmug lightroom plugin") gives this link to download the plugin:  http://help.smugmug.com/customer/portal/articles/121321
Another way is to click the button "Find more services online..." in the the Publish Service section of Lightroom, and to search for SmugMug in the Adobe Add-ons portal; you will find a link to the latest plugin: https://creative.adobe.com/addons/products/1755

    Welcome to Apple Discussions!
You can't install 9.2.1 or earlier on any Mac that is only Mac OS X bootable. In fact you need to use the restore disks which came with those Macs to install 9.2.2 on those Macs. 8.6 is only possible to install on Macs which came with 8.6 or earlier. The 9.1 disk may be useful for your 1999 PowerMac G4, but won't be of any use for a 2006 Powerbook G4.

I just purchased a license for LR 5 (received via reseller, DVD in Box) and wanted to use the serial on the downloaded LR5 version through Creative Cloud.
System sais "The serial number you entered is invalid. Please try again. If problem persists contact Customer support".
I have tried several times, without success. Internet connection is working.
    Thanks for your help.

If you have a DVD version then you have to use the serial number that is associated with the DVD version.  A Cloud subscription number has no relationship to a DVD serial number.

Gillesv7884073 please utilize the steps listed in CC desktop lists applications as "Up to Date" when not installed - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/aam-lists-removed-apps-date.html to refresh the list of installed applications.

  • Develop module disabled - NON creative cloud LR5

I'm having some trouble with LR5.
I purchased LR 3 in 2010 and then upgraded LR5 last year . . . I have both serial numbers.  I recently upgraded to an iMac and loaded the trial version on LR5, but I'm not part of creative cloud as there isn't a reason for my to do so, since I have already purchased the items I use.  Anyways, when I brought LR up today I received this message
    "Develop module is disabled.
Please renew your membership to reactivate the Develop module."
In the past I know that I've been prompted for my serial numbers, but I'm not receiving that message! Please help!!!
    Thanks!

You probably downloaded the LR 5 Creative Cloud trial in error. your serial numbers will not activate. Uninstall the existing version, this process will not affect your catalog, preferences or Personal files, then download the latest version of LR from the link below. Install and insert the serial numbers to activate.

  • I'm using LR5. Why is Creative Cloud thinking that I don't have LR5 installed?

Creative Cloud desktop says I have PS CC, PS CC (2014) and Illustrator Trial installed but no mention of LR5. It also gives me the option of installing LR5. LR5 is already installed and working fine (as far as I know). I have the monthly photographer's plan @ 9,95$.
I would like to know if it matters that I have 2 PS CC installed and if I have to reinstall LR5 for future updates purposes.

  • Creative Cloud Membership but no LR5

    Hi
I have just subcribed to the offer for Creative Cloud which include PS CC and LR5. But after downloading the
Creative Cloud, I can only find PS CC.
How can I download the LR5?
    Please advise

Creative1964 and Ankit Lightroom 5 is compatible with both 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Windows 7 and 8.  You can find the system requirements for Lightroom at http://www.adobe.com/products/photoshop-lightroom/tech-specs.html.
Creative1964 you may also want to try the steps listed in Creative Cloud AAM lists Applications as "Up to Date" when not installed - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/aam-lists-removed-apps-date.html.  I would first recommend confirming your computer meets or exceeds the listed system requirements.

Simply sign out on the old computer and install on the new one. No magic involved beyond that (barring technical difficulties, of course).

there is no forced use of LR5 and your LR4 will remain in place and active. Should you decide to use LR5 it will try to,import your catalogs.

  • Creative Cloud LR5 internet requirments

Can you use LR5 and photoshop creative cloud applications while offline? We have a very poor internet connection which is not reliable and drops out regularly.

Lightroom and Photoshop are both installed locally on your computer. If you choose to pay for your subscription monthly then the Internet has to be accessed on a monthly basis to verify that you have paid your fee. Aside from that, the programs can be used without an Internet connection.
