LR5 not importing Pictures... error message that it has stopped working

When I click on import pictures I get this error and Lightroom shuts down.
Does anyone know how to fix this?

I deleted the program and re-installed it then rebooted the computer.
It is working now so I hope that continues.

I've installed Firefox 3.6 running under Vista V6.0 Service Pack 2. Any attempt to do anything at all with it produces a Windows error message that Firefox has stopped working and it then closes Firefox. Is this a Vista issue?

The download and install processes seemed to work OK
The first Firefox window opened suggesting I update Adobe Flash Player. Clicking on download (with AV s/w either on or off made no diference) produced the Windows message that Firefox had stopped working.
By-passing the Adobe download suggestion and attempting to open up my home page (Google) produced the same result.
In fact any attempt to do anything, i.e. hitting the Enter key or left-clicking the mouse, produced the same result. Firefox freezes and WIndows then closes it.

Try to update Windows Vista Service Pack 2 using Windows Update, then select all high-priority or important updates, install them and restart the computer. Run Firefox. If it works fine then OK or if it crashes then there was no problem with the operating system.
The second method is restart your PC, after the manufacturer logo appears and before "Microsoft Corporation(C)" progress bar appears press F8 key. you will be presented with a menu with options-
Safe Mode
Safe Mode with Networking
Safe Mode with Command Prompt
etc. select "Safe Mode with Networking , and then login to your user account. Run Firefox again. If it works normally, then that probably means that your PC was infected prior to installing Firefox. Update your existing antivirus and run a full scan or acquire free Antivirus like Avast Free Antivirus etc.
If it still crashes, then try re-installing NOT Repairing Firefox AFTER INSTALLING AN UPDATED ANTIVIRUS .
OK the last way, better uninstall Firefox 3.6 and install Firefox 4 Beta 7. Firefox 4 Beta 7 runs 3 times faster than Firefox 3.6, with an overall improved interface.

When i click on the itunes, it opens up and i can see all my music but as soon as i click the itunes store button to connect to the itunes store, i get a message that says:

My itunes will not play any of my movies. it has played them in the past, but recently it shuts down when i try to play one. i keep getting an error message that itunes has stopped working.

windows is telling me that a new version of itunes is available. but it is the one i currently have. i have also gone into my controll panel and repaired itunes. still not working. any suggestions?

I am having the exact same experience you are with Itunes.... everything worked fine in Itunes version 10.5 but has gone south with something they have done to quicktime.... it has further messed up the connection to AppleTV as well.... another upgrade that seems to break everything..... just to test out my theory I opened quicktime separately and navigated to my movies directory and tried to play a movie directly .... it won't play.... or even appear as a playable file..... I think they have screwed around with this separation of quicktime and Itunes and basically broken everything.
Try to reinstall version 10.5 Itunes and 7.7.1 of quicktime, which seem to work correctly

Adobe Acrobat X Pro - Error Message : "Adobe Acrobat Has Stopped Working"

I use Windows 7 - 64bit / CS6 Master Collection that has Adobe Acrobat x Pro.
When the computer is on for a little while, Acrobat would generate the error message that it has stopped working and then shuts down. Once that error message occurs, I cannot get Acrobat to stay open. It opens the PDF document, stays open for a few seconds then the error message occurs and it shuts down.
What helps for a short term is to restart the computer. This seems to temporarily remove the error until the computer is on for a while then the error returns.
This problem repeats. Product repair feature does not work. This has nothing to do with the license, I tried that fix and it made no differnce. I do not have this issue with other Adobe products included in the master collection.
It seems fruitless and frustrating to send a message to Adobe Support, the run around with pages and links is like smacking walls on every turn, it is obvious Adobe does not want people contacting their support. Service from Adobe for their products is poor.
I hope that someone here has the answer to the problem. Anyone?

Ok, here is the update.
The link: http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/acrobat-failed-launch-30-days.html , leads to a webpage that says to download a fix ZIP file named: "Acrofix.ZIP". It contains the file "acrofix.exe".
I did use this "exe" file about 2 months ago and it did nothing to fix the issue. I used it again today, because the same issue of "Adobe Acorbat has stopped working", occurred again and again it did not work, the problem of "Adobe Acrobat stopped working" presists. Again the only work around, which is temporary, is to reboot the computer.
So far these do not work:
Relicensing or Registering the Licence
Acrofix.exe
Anyone else have an answer? - or am I the only one suffering this really annoying issue?

Since updating iTunes, I can open iTunes, view my apps, music, movies, etc. But when I click on iTunes store I get an error message that iTunes has stopped working. Same problem here! Moreover, for some reason, the pictures in my iPhone 3GS somehow have been divided into 2 folders, Photos and Medialibrary. And when I open iPhone as a folder through the explorer I can see only the Photos folder, but cannot see the Medialibrary folder which stores the photos taken before updating/upgrading the iPhone and getting separated folders!!! What the hack with all of this?!!! When I connect iPhone to PC it automatically opens iTunes and starts syncronizing it, but at the process of OPTIMIZING the photos (and according to the number of photos it shows, I see that it tries to syncronize that invisible Medialibrary folder) the process suddenly stops and error message pops out Tried the sync test, tried the button DEBUG in that pop out message, but NOTHING HELPS!!! Also, when I open the Medialibrary in my iPhone, the screen get sblack all through scrolling it down, only the video clips are shown there... >.<

What happened? Tried to open Elements 8 and error message says "Photoshop has stopped working."

The Welcome screen somes up but then fades and error message says "Photoshop has stopped working." Then Windows closes the program.
I shut down the computer, waited, then did restart, clicked on PSE, and the same message came up again. That was last night, thought I might get a message this morning, but same thing happened again. I'm trying to not panic - this is all new to me.

Error message "clc.exe has stopped working".

When I start Photoshop I get an error message "clc.exe has stopped working". I have the latest version drivers for my Acer X23H and HP 2311 LCD monitors so upgrading them is not possible. Is there any other fix I can try?

I've just downloaded and installed the very latest drivers from AMD and installed them. Still, I get the "clc.exe has stopped working" errors when I launch PS. I do not get this, or any other errors, when opening or running any other programs, and have never once gotten a blue screen or had any failures in this system for the two or three years it's been running.
While it's remotely possible that there is some error in AMD's latest (and previous) drivers for this video card, what seems to fit the symptoms I have, is that there is some problem in Adobe's code.
Previous versions of Photoshop open and run fine on this system. Other CAD and graphics programs run fine, too, with no crashes, lockups, or failures.
Still, if there's something else that needs to be updated for my video system, to make the Adobe errors go away, I'm open to do whatever updates are necessary. I'm running an AMD Radeon HD 5700 series display adapter, driver date 11/20/2014, version 14.501.1003.0. Device manager says the device is working properly (for whatever that's worth).
The computer is running Win 7 64 bit ultimate. Processor is AMD Phenom II X6 1090T six-core processor. All has been running flawlessly for several years, and continues to do so with every application except Adobe Photoshop 14.501.1003.0.

I was having the same problem. Earlier in the week, I was able to drag a few photos to the upload folder and they synced correctly. Yesteday, I dragged different photos, and I got the "applephotostream.exe has stopped working" error.
The solution - for me, at least! - was to reduce the size of the pictures being uploaded to the photostream. While all of the pictures were jpegs, the first set were ca. 800K (3800 x 2500), and the second set were ca. 2.5 MB (4000 x 2000). When I reduced the resolution of the last set by a factor of 4 (ca. 600 K, 2000 x 1500), they uploaded without a hitch.
Based on this admittedly sketchy experiment, it looks like Apple has a max picture size limit, apparently based on file size rather than picture resolution). Perhaps < 1 MB? To be rigorous, I should complete the experiment - leave the resolution of the second set of pictures alone and reduce file size by reducing jpeg quality.
Has anyone heard about a picture file size limit?

Can you open Reader by itself? If so, check if disabling Protected Mode improves the situation [Edit | Preferences | Security (Enhanced)].

This may sound bizarre, and you may not have the same situation as I found, but check your system/Windows date setting.
Somehow, the year on my system had become 2096. I corrected it, and bingo! PSE 8 Editor works again.
