LR5 will not let me import, keeps locking up in develop mode, how do I fix this?

About a week ago LR5 started working very slowly in the develop module. Then it started locking up while doing edits or toggling from one view to the other forcing me to repeatedly close and reopen it. Then, it failed to complete an import. Now, it won't do an import at all.

Thanks for the question. It sounds like the album has been synced to your iPhone from iTunes. To delete synced photos, you’ll want to uncheck the album in iTunes:

To delete synced photos and videos from your device
1. In iTunes, click the Device button in the upper right corner. (If viewing the iTunes Store, click the Library button in the upper-right corner first.)
2. Click the Photos tab in the resulting window.
3. Choose "Selected albums" and deselect the albums or collections you want to delete.
Note: To delete all synced photos, deselect "Sync Photos from" and, when asked, click "Remove photos."
4. Click Apply.

It sounds like the message you were getting was notifying you that you haven't backuped up via iCloud in a while.
If that is correct, you can fix that:
Settings > iCloud > Storage & Backup > Backup Now
iCloud Backups will run automatically if:
- the devive is charging
- the device is connected to Wi-Fi
- the screen is locked

What message do you have?
Do your outgoing SMTP servers are online or offline (Mail > Preferences > Accounts > select account and check under Outgoing Mail Server)

Two other things to try -
Power your iPad off for a minute and then back on again.
Double tap the Home button, locate the updating apps (one by one) in the bottom task bar, press on it until the red minus sign comes up and click it. Repeat for the remaining apps. Try the updates again but do them one by one rather than Update All.

PS CC will not let me import a supported file to edit. Has anyone else encountered this?

I have downloaded PS CC trial. Despite my camera being supported, it wont let me import my image to work on. I have run the updates, checked the file format is supported, tried to speak to Adobe who cannot help until Monday (!!!!) and I really need to submit an assignment by Monday.
Has anyone encountered this problem? What did you do to resolve the issue?

What do you mean by "import" images? Are you talking about editing files in Camera Raw? Is it a raw file? From which camera? Exactly what version of Camera Raw are you using?

When I loaded Itunes on my Windows 7 PC Itunes places new icons on all programs and will not let them open and then opens Itunes instead. How can I correct this

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
* Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

Search the error code in the support search and you should find something that will walk you through it, but without an error code it's a little hard to know what you're talking about

Check Settings>Messages>MMS Messaging to see if it's set to "On". Check with your carrier to see that your account is properly provision. Check to see if your carrier is a supported iPhone carrier. Not all features work or work properly on unsupported carriers.

Lightroom will not let me import photos from either my camera or my desktop. They show up in the preview bit of Lightroom and I select the ones i want to import, then add my metadata info etc and file handling, but then when I hit IMPORT just keeps saying they can't be read. SO FRUSTRATING.

I believe DdeGannes suggested permission on the Destination folder (not the source folder). Performing a copy requires only Read&Write permission on the destination folder, not the source folder. You need to go into your operating system and change the permissions to Read&Write on the destination folder. (If you don't know how to do that, go to your favorite search engine and type in Change Permissions Mac)

The iTunes Store has no phone support and never has. Contacting them has always been via web form. Go here:

and follow the instructions to report the issue to the iTunes Store.

* Make sure that you not run Firefox in [[Private Browsing]] mode
* In Private Browsing mode some menu items are disabled (grayed) and features like visited links are disabled and not showing
* You are in Private Browsing mode if you see "Tools > Stop Private Browsing", possibly grayed
