LR5 will not Sync - "Waiting for connection" above my name
I constantly get the error "Waiting for connection" and the Sync and Sync Setting buttons are not available. I have full internet access with high-speed cable modem.
Mac OS 10.9.5 fully up to date as well as all CC apps.
Please advise?connection err

1. What OS does your laptop use?
2. What iOS version is on your phone?
3. "also my iTunes store will not open it is saying that there is no internet connection, but my internet is connected because i use it on my laptop": If you mean your iPhone reports not being connected to the internet, are you using WiFi or cell data connection (i.e. 3G)?

Lightroom 6 mobile sync "waiting for connection"
This seems to have been a problem for a while, I've never really used the Lightroom mobile sync but decided I would give it a try. I have an iMac with the latest os version and a standard cable modem and network setup. Lightroom just always says waiting for connection in the identity plate. I'm wondering if it's a firewall issue or something, but I can't find any info on ports that need to be opened or anything like that. My router uses upnp. I've tried solutions I could find like deleting all data from online etc. in Lightroom preferences. Can you give me any help with this? Thanks.
I have updated, restarted etc etc and mine still wont actually sync - it says 'waiting for connection' but unlike others this isnt just a display bug - its not actually syncing at all with my laptop, which is very annoying.
I have disabled all antivirus FWs etc - nothing.
I am signed in - my details are shown etc as being signed in - but if I go to preferences and then 'lightroom mobile' it shows my Adobe ID as 'not signed in' - so if I click join it opens Adobe screen in Browser and brings up my account which am already signed into! cant do anything - cant even 'delete all data' -

Open My Computer
Right-click your iPod -> click Properties.
Click the Tools Tab -> Error Checking ->
Check "Automatically fix file system error"
k Start.
Let the scan complete, eject your iPod and reconnect.

PushDialer will not pair - "waiting for confirmation...."

I am in the process of attempting to pair PushDialer (app store purchased) between my iPhone and MacBook Pro, however it will not proceed past the "waiting for confirmation...." screen. Multiple attempts letting it run for n excess of 10 to 15 mins. During one of the attempts I received a "System Preferences quit unexpecetdely while using the PushDialer plugin" message which detailed the below description.....

Have you set it up so it will sync authomatically when you plug your iphone into the PC. There should be an option that allows you to do that.

LR CC - Waiting for connection forever
Just updated to LR CC from LR5 on my Creative Cloud account. In LR5 it would say "waiting for connection" but it would still sync my collections. Now in LR CC, it still says Waiting for Connection, but it's not syncing any more. How do I fix this? Yes I do have a connection - everything else connects (dropbox, onedrive, web browsers, etc).
Any ideas?I am having the same issue. It also states that I need to "join" and that I am on a 30 trial of the software. However, I have a paid creative cloud account and subscription. It's a student/teacher edition and subscription with access to all software.

I have a Blackberry 8330 and a MacBook. For some reason I started having connectivity issues. The handheld will not sync with the computer via pocketmac. I have uninstalled, etc 15 times. Please help

Your best bet is to follow the steps described in this blogposts and open a bug:

After that, if you don't want to user Sync in your computer, you can stop it with this simple steps:
* At the top of the Firefox window, click on the Firefox button (Tools menu in Windows XP) and then click Options.
* Once the options window opens, click on the Sync tab.
* At the bottom of the Sync tab click on '''Deactivate this Device''' link -

Yes, my iPhone 5 running ios 7 will not sync in *any* way with itunes now. I can neither add nor remove content via itunes. I just tried to delete 100% of my music from my iphone, it hung forever on "Waiting for changes to be applied" and then when it was finally done... no changes had been applied.
I can't add, remove, change, delete or in any way of any kind sync my iphone with itunes any longer.
I'm becoming the person who refuses to update to the new Apple OS. I used to get very excited about new OS updates. That all ended around Mountain Lion. Yesterday when I saw that Mavericks was out I wasn't excited. Instead I felt a sense of dread, and for good reason. Every time they release an OS in the last few years it's just a cluster-F. -
Hi, My Lightroom CC is showing waiting for connection and the mobile sync is not working. I have tried deleteing lrsync data, disabling firewall, checked host file etc. Still no luck.
I had the same problem. It fixed itself when I opened Internet Explorer (I don't normally use it). I was opening Support Portal to get some support help, but I'm not sure if it was the page or simply opening IE that did the trick.

BrianI have had exactly the same problem before, I have followed the guide as suggested to the letter and still no joy, each time (3 times now) that I have reinstalled the latest version of iTunes it is recognised and syncs with my iphone but with the next reboot of my computer it is gone again.

My Ipod nano 3rd generation will not sync with itunes or show up on windows, but other ipods do when I connect them using the same setup.

Getting "waiting for connection" message in Lightroom 5.5 sync to mobile
I have tried turning off and on the lightroom mobile sync and signing out and back in. Neither started the sync. What else can I try ?

I think your sync being stuck and the 'waiting for connection' message were two different issues and would advise you - if you get stuck again - or anyone else reading this thread that is stuck syncing and with the 'waiting for connection' to NOT use 'Delete All Data'
If you are seeing the 'waiting for connection' message and sync is working, ignore it as that bug just prevents properly showing the sync status but not the actual sync activity. We are working on trying to figure out why this gets stuck in this state - it appears to be network related - but we haven't found anything definitive yet.
If you are seeing the 'waiting for connection' message and you sync is stuck then please generate a diagnostic log (Preferences -> Lightroom Mobile -> (Hold Alt/Option key) and click 'Generate Diagnostic Log' and then private message that file to me and we can hopefully determine the real cause of the stuck sync and a workaround that will prevent you having to use the 'Delete All Data' hammer.

FIXED (for me at least): iPhone 3gs will not sync with Gateway NV79
I’ve spent months trying to fix this miserable problem with getting my iPhone 3gs to sync with my new Gateway NV79. Gateway will not help. Their technical support is genuinely worthless. Microsoft blames Apple and Apple blames Gateway.
My old iPod Nano syncs to my Gateway NV79 without a problem. I’ve tried all of the proposed fixes but other posters with no success.
But I do believe I’ve discovered a real fix (for me at least). Here’s my setup:
• Gateway NV79 running Windows 7 64 bit edition
• iTunes 10
• iPhone 3gs running OS 4.02
The USB ports needs tweaking to get the iPhone 3gs to sync to the Gateway NV79. Follow these steps without your iPhone 3gs connected to the Gateway NV79:
Step 1: Go to Control Panel
1. Open Control Panel
2. Click Hardware & Sound
3. Click Power Options
4. Make sure Balanced is selected and click Change Plan Settings
5. Click Change advanced power settings
6. Expand USB Settings
7. Expand USB selective suspend setting
8. Change On Battery setting to Disabled.
9. Change Plugged in setting to Disabled
10. Click OK
Step 2: Go to Windows Explorer
1. Open Windows Explorer
2. Right-Click Computer (not your computer name)
3. Click Properties
4. Click Device Manager
5. Expand Universal Serial Bus Controllers
6. Right-click first Generic USB Hub
7. Click Properties
8. Click Power Management
9. Uncheck Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power
10. Click OK
11. Right-click second Generic USB Hub
12. Click Properties
13. Click Power Management
14. Uncheck Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power
15. Click OK
16. Restart your computer
After your computer restarts, login and connect your iPhone.
You must complete both steps. Step 1 is required for Step 2 to stick.
There are a few things that may happen. iTunes may start syncing immediately and fail with an error. Don’t worry. If the sync fails the first time, restart the computer with the iPhone still connected. Now, iTunes will either take you to setup screen to connect your iPhone or the sync may restart. In my case, the setup screen came up and I DID NOT CHOOSE TO RESTORE. Pick the first option to add your iPhone. The sync will restart and may or may not finish. Don’t worry, if the sync fails, restart your computer again with the iPhone still connected and this time the sync will work.
Here’s the problem: the iPhone 3gs will not sync with the power management enabled for the USB ports on the Gateway NV79.
Good luck.If you cannot update your computer, you will not be able to sync your phone. The requirements are:
Mac system requirements
Mac computer with USB 2.0 port
Mac OS X v10.5.8 or later
iTunes 10.1 or later (free download from www.itunes.com/download)
iTunes Store account

I setup a separate itunes account for my iphone. I put my ipod music onto it. The music will not sync to my iphone. It tells that all info will be lost if I do it. HELP! The music is showing in the library.
you can connect the iPhone to your mac and import those iPhone photos and videos to iPhoto assuming you have iPhoto. You can create a folder and export all those photos to the Finder. Keep safe somewhere. Also keep the iPhoto library for safe keeping. When you restore your iPhone you can sync all those photos back to the iPhone. so you will lose nothing. Just remember when you export from iPhoto select jpeg for photos and original for videos taken with the iPhone.
