LSMW- change measurements

Hi experts!
I must import new measuremets of rental objects . I bulid LSMW with BAPI, business object=BUS1504, method=change. I would like to enter new measurement from date…..It’s ok,if type od measurement not exist. But if was so type, it’s problem. I must close previously type, but how can I do it by
lsmw?
I wrote next subproject to close previously type of measurement. I set change indicator=U and date to….. During execute system call date from . Objects have diferent date from and different Value . I can’t write it w LSMW.
Is any way to change date to the type of last measurement? Is there any parameter to set?

Hi,
I m not ABAPer and can't change measurement with BAPI function. I bulid LSMW with BAPI. I solved my problem. I created 2 subprojects. One updated Date TO,data I exported from raport REISMSBDdo excel, adapted them and import by LSMW to system. Was helpful your suggestion, that I have to fill the VALID FROM because it can identify the measurement. Because of it I have to add VALUE_AVAIL, system demanded it to identify, I think so. And this allowed me to change VALID TO of last measuremet. I was suprised, because that are not key fields. Second suproject entered new measurements.
It may be easier to do it, but I did so as i could.

Changing measurements in page setup

I don't know where else to inquire but, somehow my measurement of choice which had been inches has changed in my Photoshop print setup. It is now centimeters. I don't know how to change it. I'm using an Epson 14500 printer.
Please help

Issue during BOM LSMW changes...

Hello,
We have created BOM through LSMW but now we have an issue.
The base quantity was incorrectly uploaded as 100 EA instead of 1 EA.
Now we we try to change it though the LSMW it does not changes as it might have to go to 2 screens.
Is there a way where we can do a mass changes/LSMW to that field to change it 1 EA.

Hi,
If u know the BOMs that have been created with incorrect quantity then u can do a recording using CS02 to change the quantity and upload the file with BOM and changed quantity.
Else if u want to upload the same file that you have used to create the BOM for changing, then u need to have a select query in LSMW in Maintain field mapping and conversion rules step at the event __BEGIN_OF_PROCESSING__ and use the CS02 recording.

Cannot change measurement in MM02

Hi all,
I need to change UoM of existing material in MM02. But there's 'Display Error' showing that:
1. Stocks already exist at plant level
-->I've check the stocks, and already reversed and no stock left in the plant.
2. Routings already exist that are assigned to the materia
Type Group    GrC Plnt
Q    1301      1      WXYZ
-->for this I've check with the QM consultant. Already deleted the routings, inspection plan for the material.
But still the UoM cannot be change. Can anybody assist me?Reward points will be given.

Changing Unit of measurement has certain Pre requsites
There should not be any Stock, open Purchase Order,Sales Order,Production Order,Stock in Transit,Reservation,Plant Stock Availabillty,Delivery, Warehouse Stock,Stock in Previous Period(Use MM03 with Plant Stock & Storage Loc)
If Stock Exist in the previous period use this procedure to reverse
If previous period stocks exist, we can make a withdrawal posting as follows
1. Post the same amount to current period stock (for example, using movement type 561) so that previous period stock and current period stock are identical.
2. Make a withdrawal posting in the previous period for the stock together with posting date (for example, using movement type 562).
Refer SAP Note Number 533383 for changing UOM.

LSMW change article master data

Dear All,
As I am new in Retail, i need to know detail steps how to perform LSWM (IDOC method) to change material master (MM42)
providing that needed fields are article code - vendor - purchase organization .. and the field to be changed is tax code located in purchasing view.
Or there is another method to mass change for these materials.

You have multiple options of how to create an LSMW project to maintain Article Master data within SAP.
You can use the IDOC method using message type ARTMAS Basic Type ARTMAS05, you can use standard input or direct input with object 020 Article Master Method 0000 - program RMDATIND and even BAPI with BUS1001001 Retail article
What you will need to do is work through each of the process steps within after defining the object attributes which include defining the source structure and fields (i.e. you flag file structure) and mapping the source structure fields to the target structure (I.E. IDoc fields) and then specifying the location of the flat file.

When exporting an image: Image sizing, resize to fit auto changes measurements eg 22cm becomes 22,000cm. How do I fix this?

When exporting an image in LR, any measurement entered into "Risize to fit...."automatically changes the measurement from 22cm to 22,000cm. for eg. or 33cm becomes 33,000cm.
How do I fix this?

Lr always uses three decimals for dimensions in the export dialog. So 22 cm is exactly the same as 22,000 cm.
Maybe you're used to a dot as a decimal separator, and a comma as a thousand separator? If so, it probably looks like 22 thousand cm to you.
Whether to use a dot or a comma for a decimal separator, is set in your computer's operating system.
On windows, Control panel > Region and language.

How to change measurements from inches to mm? Imperial to metric iPad

Hi just downloaded uk iworks pages etc, how do you change imperial to metric in rulers?

From what I can fathom, The ruler and measurements is determined by what International settings are selected. Apple has "standardized" these settings from international agreements? I would like to see the Canadian settings altered to allow for Imperial measurements within the Canadian settings on the iPad. In order to get Imperial on the ruler, I have to select United States International, but then the Dictionary is set to US and all the Canadian spellings are wrong. I would prefer to be able to select the Canadian international with either Imperial or metric settings as both measurements are still standard in Canada.

LSMW- changing service material descriptions-(service master)

Can you please tell me how to write LSMW for changing the service material description.I have tried it in AC02,AC03 t-codes and give edit option.but it is not giving result for all languages. it is changing descriptions for EN only as a default.plshelp me.

If you want to maintain apart from EN language you need to Logon to that Language only & try.
It will not allow in the same EN language.

LSMW-Change Info Record

Hi all,
I need to use LSMW to change infor records, they are standard, consignment and subcontracting info records.
How can I make the system to choose the right info record type? Do I need a recording with these three fields?
NORMB                Indicator: Standard info record
LOHNB                Indicator: Subcontractor purchasing info record
KONSI                Indicator: Consignment info record

How do you know which info record you need to change?
Based on what field do you do this decision?
I recommend not to use recordings, SAP has developed LSMW import methods for info records that really work well.
Recordings are only needed if SAP has not given anything in standard, mainly to load data into Z-tables.
I recommend to have a look into the info record tables EINA and EINE
EINE table has only field ESOKZ that determines which type of info record it is.

Change measurement tab on rental object

Hello experts,
My requirement is to gray-out or eliminate certain fields on the measurement tab (MEASFRO and MEASTO) for buildings and rental objects.
The output displays on SAP standard ALV output display.
Please advise if it is possible to do this in configuration without a custom ALV development.

Hello Re_flex....thanks again but I am missing a step here as I was able to hide the column by right-clicking but when I click on the layout there is no layout that I can select. Do you know if these layouts are set in config or not as my layout setting displays 'X' user specific or 'A' ALL but when I select these nothing is displays and when I save I get a message back 'No selection'

Custom Page Sizes - How to change from centimeters to Inches?

Hello,
I'm working on some panoramic prints to an Epson R2400 and I need to set up a custom paper size for printing to roll paper. When I select Custom Page Sizes from the Page Setup dropdown, all my measurements are forced into centimeters. Even if I try and specify it to be in inches when I type in the values, I get an error saying "Invalid Number" because of the " (in mark designation).
And because the input box only allows two decimal places, I can't get accurate inches-to-centimeter conversions because the sizes I need are 3+ decimals when converted to centimeters.
Searching on the web I've come across many pages with info on the Custom Page Sizes dialog box and the images show the values being set in inches, but I've found nowhere that says where you specify where I can change this default measurement?
If anyone could help me, it'd be greatly appreciated!

Answering my own questions.
Because I'm Canadian, in Preferences -> International -> Formats I needed to change "Measurement Units" to "US" instead of "Metric".

How do I change the photo sizes from cm to inches in the new iPhoto share/print?

When I wish to print a picture from the share/print section of iphoto it lists the available print sizes in cm ie 10 x 15 instead of 4 x 6 inches. I can't seem to find anywhere to select the units that you want to use. I am using the latest version of iPhoto.

perhaps Dukeasooke is using mixed language settings like me.
I found that changing "Measurements Units" did not suffice, if the region is still set to Germany. I had to actually set the region in the Language & Text preferences to a country that uses "US" units in addition to ensuring that the "US" units were selected. Also, with Mavericks it is essential to restart the system before launching iPhoto again after changing "Language & Text" preferences, or they may not take.

OBIEE: How to sort a bar chart by a measure not displayed in the chart?

I have a table with OEM sales volume comparisons between two periods, current year and previous year. I have calculated a "VOLUME CHANGE" measure by subtracting last year's volume total column from this year's volume total column, and would like to display the resulting VOLUME CHANGE column in a horizontal bar chart.
However, I want the bar chart sorted in descending order by the sales volume total column rather than the value of the calculated "VOLUME CHANGE" that is displayed.
Can someone help me make this happen?
In Answers I can make a bar chart sort according to any sort applied to a measure IF YOU INCLUDE THE SORTED MEASURE IN THE CHART, but I can't readily see how to do this if you wish to only include one measure in the chart but sort it by another measure from the same table.
Help would be appreciated.

Well, we have some kind of disconnect.
I see that the first value on the horizontal axis will supply the sort. The sort depends on the default, or whatever sort you have set on the column in the Criteria tab.
But if I remove that measure from the chart, I lose the sort and it defaults back to sorting by BRAND, alphabetically.
I can't see any options for hiding the measure in the chart itself and preserving the sort by the hidden measure. I know how to do that quite easily in Tableau, but I can't find it here. In the Criteria tab when I go to "column properties" the only option tabs I see are "Style", "Column Format", "Data Format", "Conditional Format" and "Interaction" and none of those offer any option for hiding the column.
When you go to the results tab and then edit the layout of the resulting data table, you do get options to hide columns in the results table. But they still show up by default when you create a chart based on the table. From the editing options for the chart itself I see no option for hiding any of the measures, only the option to drop the measures down to the "Excluded" box, at which point they a cleared from the chart along with any associated sort settings.
Is there any way to include a screen shot with the post?
Can someone be more specific about where the menus and options are to make this happen?

Is zero backlog impossible in continous pulse period measurement?

I use two counters in PCI-6052E as two TTL input channels. Continous buffered Pulse periods are measured but a couple of data in the buffers are not read however I change measurement condition like time limit, count to read and buffer size. Is it impossible to make backlog value is zero all the time? Typical count rate is 20000/s and my work can not be done with even one backlog for minutes.

It is next to impossible to achieve zero backlog with a count rate in the kHz range. The principle is that data is transferred from the board (counter registers and FIFO) to an intermediate PC buffer. LabVIEW or your programming environment cannot poll this PC buffer quick enough to achieve zero backlog. Zero backlog would imply you are reading 1 sample at a time quicker than samples are being supplied to the PC buffer by the hardware. Even if you put the samples to read at a time to 1 and your loop has no delays and is running as fast as possible you will probably still have backlog.
If you application reads a block of data from the PC buffer, whatever is left is backlog. Thus, even if on each loop iteration you specify that your read oper
ation read the last backlog, from the last iteration to this iteration more data would have been transferred to the PC buffer form the hardware.
One way to minimize the effect is by reading a very large block of data into your application program. This means that each time your program loops, you will wait until enough data is in the PC buffer before your read completes. If this happens on each loop interation you will in theory have zero backlog but you will be less efficient with your processor since it will be busy waiting for enough data to be present on the PC buffer.
The most efficient and dynamic system is if you read a block of data from the PC memory the first time and also read the backlog. On the next iteration simply read the number of samples equivalent to the last backlog and record the next backlog for your next read. Therefore in this scenario, if you run your loop as fast as it can go, you should be minimizing the scan backlog while making the most efficient
use of the processor since it never has to wait for data to be ready.
