LSMW display in German

Hi All,
We have just installed LSMW 1.8 on 4.6D. It display German excepted login language is English.
Any comment?

Thanks for your reply. It works for all menu, status and message excepted label.
Like in screen 100, there are three fields - Project, subproject and object. These fields are displaying in German.

i craeted a role and assigned a user to that role.when the user logged in the transaction menu list is displayed in german language which need to be chabged to english.i checked the language set to the user in su01(it is set english only)

Hello Anand,
In the role you have created go to Menu tab and check if all the transactions displayed there are in German language if they are in german then in the change mode you can change the language to english using translate node button (in additional activities). Now check the user menu to whom this role is assigned, it should work. Anyway this helps if you have small list of transactions in menu. (Try se63 for translation of texts)

Wrong character display in german language

Hi,
In transaction me52n I have added one screen field of 30 characters ( Created dataelement).
When i take the english name it display properly.
But when i take the german name , specially names with ö , then it displays 'Ã¶' instead of ö.
Could any body help me ?

Vendor Evaluation - SAP Standard questionnaire always displays in German

Hi,
All settings to pop up the event driven questionnaire are in place for event Confirmation. System is SRM 7 EHP2.
I can confirm in the survey cockpit BBP_EVAL_SURVEY that:
1) Questionnaire SRM_CONF1E is for English
2) Questionnaire SRM_CONF_1 is for German
Despite of creating a new survey ID and assigning SRM_CONF1E, the popup always displays the questionnaire in German.
OSS Note 1568126 did not resolve anything.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Could you please advise if you have changed the language based on the note which you mentioned. Manual correction require language change.
Please do the necessary change and test it again.

Field FNAME displayed in german..

In standard report *RFKABL00* field *FNAME* sometimes display text in german and sometimes in english.
What Could be the reason?

It seems that translation does not exist in german or english.
Check data types for fields in error.
Go to SE11 for the type, check translation EN --> DE or DE --> EN
If types in error are standard types --> check oss notes
If types in error are specifics types --> correct your translation using transaction SE63.

Result text is displaying in German as "Ergebnis"

In my BW reports, the "result" text is displaying as "Ergebnis". (German Language of result). Is there any settings need to maintain in the query designer.

Bur above issue is related to language.
As of now opened analyzer close it
Can you try to log into bex designer, use EN as language and log in.
Lets check whether it shows text in EN or not.
Open bex analyzer and log in , use language as EN and see.

OTR : unable to display in German

Hi All,
I have created an OTR text in BSP application .
These are the steps that I have followed:
1) created OTR text and maintained the translation in Tcode SOTR_EDIT
2)used it in the program as follows :
<%= otr(zdfps_google/checkbox_title1) %>
I am still not able to display the text in German.
As mentioned in many other threads and blogs I have not used the method cl_bsp_get_text_by_alias=>get_text
for getting the translated texts. is this necessary? if so, I have many texts to be translated, so will i have to use this method for each and every OTR text?
I have also refreshed the OTR buffer and executed SOTR_DEFAULT_CONTEXT_FLAG_SET for reseting the Context flag. But it doesnt help

Yes its true. because it takes the browser settings as default.
U mean to say that, u have changed the sy-langu to DE in debugging mode?
Normally, in our BSP appln, we provide a button to change the language in browser for user to change the language settings.
At this time, if you select DE-German then all translations will be visible.
But as you said, all the texts are displyed in german! is that means, even your translation is also visible in german?

PR05 Trip data displayed in German

Hi Experts
When I try to create the the travel request through PR05, few fields are displayed in English and few in German Language.
logon language is English.
Please advice if there is any setting to be changed.

This looks like a customizing or development problem to me, and not a security problem (though you might want to trace for S_TRANSLAT in ST01).

My iTunes Mini-Store is displaying in German.......

and, yes, I have all of my settings everywhere set to US - Washington, DC.
Any ideas ? Not really a big deal, just weird.

I love the "Keine Ubereinstimmung" heading, whatever it translates into. That must be from the advanced class. Nice, Mein Store was somehow changed to Deutschland. Not sure how though. I haven't logged on to the main store site in months. Thanks again.

Search Help in Webdynpro displays specific text in German language

We have created a custom search help which is being displayed using a custom Webdynpro application. We found that for this search help, although all other texts are displayed in English, a specific text ( 'Show filter criteria' ) is being displayed in German. Also, the same problem exists for search helps used in certain standard Webdynpro applications as well ( eg. WDT_FLIGHTLIST, TEST_DDIC ). Is there any SAP note to address this issue?

Succession Planning - German text displayed

Hi,
We are experiencing a problem where a German text appears in Career Type column for a position that is displayed on Nakisa screen. The text in the Postion Attribute though is in English.
This happens when slecting Positions ==> All Positions ==> then search for position using position title or position ID. Position ID, Title, Career Type, Career Level, etc columns are then displayed. The Career type text for a position where Career Type and Level values are captured are displayed in German. Can you advise how to fix this.

Ah ha! Now I know the problem! I have correction instructions from SAP that I know are fixed in a later service package for SAP, but I haven't seen a SAP note released with the fix. This is from the OSS message:
there is an error in the Enterprise Search modelling which has been
corrected by support packages in the meantime.
In the technical template SUBTYP the field SUTXT in the node
T777U is not marked as text field. So the search does not know
that this field contains a language dependent text which has only
to be provided in the logon language.
The modeling in SAP-Standard has been corrected in the meantime
by support packages. You can correct the error in advance by
changing the technical template subtyp as indicated in the attached
picture: You only have to check the field "contains text".
For this you probably need to create your own software package and then include EA-HRGXX because some nodes in the standard software component cannot be changed.

ITunes U displaying in another language (German)

We have a couple of users in which the content that comes from Apple in iTunesU is being displayed in German, not English. It is only happening on specific computers. It is computer specific, not user specific. The content they create (specific to our site - Fairfield University), is in English, but default text that is populated by Apple (the links in a course, when modified data), is in German. Reinstalling iTunes does not fix the issue. Works fine on other computers. The computers have Windows XP SP2, iTunes 8.0.2. The language settings in iTunes is set to English and the computers language preferences in the control panel is set to English. Very weird. Any suggestions?

I have one student who is experiencing the same problem. Some of the content on his iTunes U page is in German some is in English. It's like the two languages are fighting.

using the NWDI :
: open the net weaver the go to development configuration prescriptive and import the track and select the application-->that goes to nwds area before start the customized we need to check out and create activity
using the internalization(i18n) you can change the language to English

administration . penalization : log in to administration user and you can customize the standard service as follows this steps go to content admin --> select service That is, preview it in PCD, CTRL+ Right Click change the language to english, save it..
(you should be log in to admin user so that every user affected modification .)

I wanted to display some german character in my report.
but in my report some junk characters are coming.
what i have to do ?

You have to set the NLS_LANG-variable to an appropiate value (e.g. GERMN_GERMANY.WE8ISO8859P15). This should be done on the developers-pc in the registry and has to be done on the application-server where you run your report.

Program text elements in German

Hello,
I copied a standard SAP program RFKQST80 to a "Z" program in order to make some enhancements. when I goto the text elements in SE38, the first thing that I get is a information box stating "untranslated texts from master language DE will also be displayed". I click okay and the "text symbols" and "selection texts" are displayed in german. i activated the program and now what i see is the text is displayed in english but when I try to change it, it is displayed in german. I need to modify some of the text. how do I get this to display in english. Is there something that I missed when I copied the original SAP program?

you have not copied it properly, that is the reson it is coming like this, try to copy it again it ll work fine, otherwise try to change the version and check wheather it is working or not.
