LSMW ECC 6.0

Hello all,
Am using direct upload program RCPTRA02 to upload routings via LSMW, ECC 604
I am uploading headers, operations and material assignments. I keep coming across the following error:
C\ 001
No header alternative for specified object exists
Anyone got any idea as to what this relates to/means?
I read OSS 872680, but is no used for me.
Please, please help me,

Fill the PLKO_DI_DS-PLNAL field,
which is mandatory if your PLKO_DI_DS-ACTTYP is "V" or "H".

Hi Experts,
can anyone point out the difference between the LSMW objects/options available in 4.7 and ECC 6.0. We have developed lot of objects in 4.7 thru BDC, IDOC, Report & Bapi's, like to know whether these will be affected and if so what is to be noted during upgrade.
Also like to know what addtional objects or features are avaialble in ECC 6.0 LSMW?

ECC 6.0 upgrade BDC, LSMW, IDOC checking stratergy

Hi Experts,
We have developed lot of LSMW involving BDC recordings, programs, IDOC and BAPI to load the data. We are now upgrading to ECC 6.0 and hence like to know the approach or check list whcih will help to check these objects and find out the differences or corrections to be done before moving to ECC 6.0 box.
can u please let me know a check list or any utility program that will help to identify the difference or issues? thx for response.

The best way to find out if everything works is to upgrade a test system and check your process. There's no tool available. LSMW itself didn't change but there may be changes in function modules you use.

Is PPDS PDS possible without ECC ie using LSMW BAPI or similar?

We are trying to get an APO SNP/PPDS model working for planning in divisions before hooking up fully to ECC, and have got SNP PDS uploads working fine for SNP using BAPI (BUS10014 Production Data Structure) which we trigger within an LSMW.
But trying to create PPDS PDS instead (so we can use some block planning functionality) and I have not got to work yet. Almost works, ie data goes into most of the background table, but PPDS PDS cannot be seen in display transaction, and cant use it.
Wondering if anyone else has got to work? And if it is even POSSIBLE? ie maybe PPDS is only designed to work with ECC wheras SNP can work stanalone or with non-SAP system?

It is possible that you have syntax error for development objects that are assigned to a package (Dev class) that is 'switchable' and that its switch is off.
In general, these development objects are meant to be used when specific 'business functions' are switched on.
Switching on a business function has to be analyzed and tested carefully because most of them CANNOT be switched off. Even Reversible business functions cannot be switched off when they are activated in a productive system. This is forbidden.
In this specific example, program SAPLBOS04 belongs to package AD_BOS_01. This package contains switchable objects related to switch ECO_BOS. This switch can be switched on via more than one 'industry-specific' business functions all belonging to DIMP.
Switching on DIMP has to be analyzed thoroughly because some business functions are getting automatically switched on (Bfunc DIMP_SDUD) and cannot be reverted.
Each business function activates different functionality. Documentation can be found in IMG -> Activate Business Functions (TA SFW5). There you have a Documentation column with a link to the Help Portal.
Using TA SFW_BROWSER you can see the different objects related to business functions displayed in a tree.

LSMW problem since upgrade to ECC

Not sure if this is posted in the correct place, so apologies in advance if it is...
We have an LSMW object which uploads customer master data onto the system (account group 0005). This has works for years, but we have since upgraded to ECC and now the partner function part does not seem to be working.
We load up a PE partner function and a number to go into RF02D-KTONR. This gets picked up correctly from the file into the position screen 2324 but it then doesn't get put into the field on screen 324. This just gets left as 0 so when the batch input session is run they all error with the Message No. F2613 Number '0' is not defined.
I have searched on OSS notes but I can't seem to find anything, does anyone have any ideas?

I logged this problem with OSS and there was a combination of things that we did to make this work...and we are not really sure what change actually helped the situation.
We ran progam RFBIDEG0
We also changed config in the following:
IMG >> SD >> Basic Function >> Partner Determination >>
Setup Partner Determination >> Customer Master >>
Account Groups - Function Assignment
adding PE & 0005 as we were having problems with prospects customers...
I'm not 100% sure what else was done as OSS were logged onto our system for a while trying to solve the issue...

LSMW - Upgrade Technical 4.7 to ECC 6.0

I am studying / researching ways to optimize the migration process of master data in the case of scenario of SAP version.
Anybody have any experience to share about the use of a scenario of LSMW upgrade of version? Or, hints to optimize the scenario.

There is no impact, the projects can still be used if you don't migrate to Unicode at the same time.

LSMW Read Data behaving differently in production and in ECC

Hi All,
I have writte a LSMW for CJ12 longtext and it is working fine in development but in production it giving error message at 13th step as BDC_INSERT, Transaction code .. is invalid and when i try to simulate the issue i found that in Read Data step i found the difference as transactions read in development are 399 where as the transactions read in production are 267 for the same file.And i debugged the Display Read program and observed that the read program used GUI_UPLOAD to read the data from the text file.and there itself the GUI_UPLOAD internal table contains 399 in development and 267 in production.I tried to simulate why this is happening but coldn't figure out.Can any one help me why this has happened.And we are using ECC6 with EHP4 in development and EHP3 in production and it has to upgrade to EHP4.

if you are really certain about the source file (I doupt too) then there are only 2 more possibilities
a) your LSMW object is different (transport it again from developement to production, only so you can be sure that LSMW object and source will be the same)
b) a real SAP error because of different release levels. Open a ticket at SAP to get help.

LSMW-IDOC error while tranferring data from ECC to CRM

please check the source system job status. If its successfully completed then we can expect data load sucess in BW side.
to check source system status: RSMO> select related load>in Menu Environment-->Job overview in source system.
once this over check the TRFC or IDocs struck
if TRFC, chk in TCode-SM58 or from environment select TRFC from source/data warhouse.
if you are finding TRFcs are in stuck just select and run manually to complete.

LSMW: Error concerning the logical path in Specify Files step

Hi,
I am trying on an ECC 6.0 EHP6 system to upload (open) POs from an existing SAP ERP system. Since I faced some complications in batch input recording method, I decided to go with the standard batch/direct input method.
I selected object 0085 (Purchase Order) and method 0001 (Purchase Order). The program that is used is RM06EEI0. I followed all the usual steps, but in the "Specify Files" step I get the message:
'****.lsmw.conv' does not exist; edit the logical path using transaction FILE
Being aware of both the FILE and SF01 transactions, I created the logical path and file (through the FILE transaction). However, after the modification, I get the message:
Logical file '****' is not assigned to physical file '****.lsmw.conv'
There is also the related SAP Note 753511 (Logical and physical path and file name in transaction LSMW) that refers to this case.

Click on specify file radio button>Legacy data-on the PC Front end
where input file location like C:\mydocument\desktop\test.txt
and give input in Name field: mydocument
in delimiter section > select Tabular
File structure section> tick on Field order matches source structure definition
File type: Record end marker(Text file)
then press enter key and other steps as same.
Second thing you said that you have used Batch input recording
after creation and recording finish , scroll the page below on recording and put a cursor unwanted field and remove unwanted input field.

LSMW-Uploading G/l master Data

Hello,
we are migrating Data from R/3 4.6 to ECC 6.0.We need all the G/l from 4.6 exactly same way in ECC 6.0 without new G/l features.
Please let me which table I should use to extract g/l master data (SKA1or SKB1) from 4.6.I am going to do recording with Tcode FS00 at the time of uploading.
If any one is having document on G/l uploading please share with me.share the useful points relating to this.

LSMW BAPI Open Sales Order Load - How to update conditions?

Hello gurus,
I was using the BAPI SALESORDER_CREATEFROMDAT2 to upload open sales orders. Wanted to overwrite the default PR00 pricing condition that gets pulled from the customer-material info record, with the price that was existing in the original legacy system when the order was created there. Used the E1BPCOND structure in the Idoc, but since there is no such thing as a E1BPCONDX structure(corresponding to the structure BAPICONDX in the origial BAPI) where you could specify whether the condition should be updated, added or deleted, it adds a second PR00 condition with the legacy system price. The original PR00 condition with the customer-material record price still stays there. Eventhough the order seems to be taking into consideration only the second one I added, to determine the total pricing, I am worried the original sitting there, might cause problems down the document flow. Is there a way to update the existing PR00 condition(rather than adding a new one) on the order, through some flag in the Idoc structure that I am not aware of?
Would greatly appreciate an answer ASAP.

Thanks and appreciate your taking your time to reply, Gerard, I guess my problem is, we are still on 46C, and the only message type available for this BAPI is SALESORDER_CREATEFROMDAT201. Just called a friend who is on ECC 60 who confirmed that the later version of this message type, SALESORDER_CREATEFROMDAT202 has the E1BPCONDX structure. I don't have that option since on LSMW it automatically defaults to the only message type(and method CREATEFROMDAT2) that is available, when you choose business object BUS2032. Guess I am out of luck, unless you have any other options to suggest.

Data Migration from Legacy system to ECC systems via ETL through SAP PI

Hi All,
I wanted to know if we can migrate the data from Legacy systems to ECC systems via PI.
What I understand is there is ETL tool is used to extract the data from legacy system, and what client is looking to load that data via PI?
Can we do that ? I am concerned because this will involve mass data?
If I have to use PI , I see option of PROXY / IDOC /FILE as receiver in ECC system (take the data from ETL)?
Can somebody has done this earlier , please share the approach.

I require few details from you.
1. What ETL tool you are using, If Informatica, it already have PowerConnect to connect to SAP. So you can create source and Target Structure and also you can use RFC's to send data to R/3. Else, for other ETL tools, can you prepare RFC's or any other way to send data to R/3. let me know the tool.
2. Does R/3 contains the master data tables? If yes, then try to use LSMW for Mass upload of data to tables.
If your client don't want to use either of these options please elaborate, what is the case.

Unable to Load LSMW for BP using CRMXIF_PARTNER_SAVE

My requirement is to load BP Data to a stand alone CRM system, this has got no connectivity to the ECC and data will be directly loaded from the excel or notepad file. Am using the idoc method in LSMW to achieve this.
When am loading this I get this error message :
External partner category/number / is not unique
Message no. CRMXIF_PARTNER001
This is the idoc type which am using
Message Type - CRMXIF_PARTNER_SAVE
Basic Type - CRMXIF_PARTNER_SAVE01
These are the segment values which am using for the testing :
