LSMW error in material master classification uploading

Hi,
I'm uploading classification for materials by LSMW with a direct input
but at the end of the uploading process I can read the following:
Error Changing Classification Data
Other
( CLAP_DDB_UPDATE_CLASSIFICATION: exception 3 )
The Following File Was Created with the Error Records:
RCCLBI03.ERROR
How Can I find a list of all the exceptions ?

CLAP_DDB_UPDATE_CLASSIFICATION is a function module. which is called from the batch input program RCCLBI03 that you have in your LSMW step1.
so you can go to SE37, enter CLAP_DDB_UPDATE_CLASSIFICATION and either read the docu or directly display the FM, therein is a tab for exceptions, just count starting from top
the third is classtype not defined

UOM error in Material master.

When we log on to Spanish language, we are getting error in material master for Unit of measure, that the unit of measure has not been created in the language ES. But same UOM has configured in EN language and its working fine for material, while in Spanish language it appear as *** with error details,

Extactly you are right..you got to Logon in Languange ES and create the required UOM in t-code CUNI...
this shuld solve the issue..try and revrt back..
Also,In CUNI on top menu Go to-Translation-UOM here maintain Source lang to Target lan

Change documents of material master classification class type 001 and 300

Dear guru ,
I want to see the history of change documents of material master classification using MM02.
The system allow to see the history only for class type 023.
For class type 001 or 300 the change document isnu2019t available.
I must do some settings or the function for these class type arenu2019t available ?

Material Master Classification view

Hi all,
I have some doubt in Material Master Classification view.
I want to know the Database Table name in which the field Class Number
is stored.
I know that these tables are stored in the stucture ( RMCLF
) during creation of material master.

Pricing based on Material Master Classification

Hi Guru's,
Can we have a pricing based on material master classification.
Scenario: Material can have few characteristic. If we select few of the classification, this should influence pricing.
Any idea on this, has anybody worked on this before?

I am not sure about classification, might work with Variant Config.
Alternatively, you can use split valuation if you don't have many characteristics.

Creation of Batch Class in (CL01)
Assignment of above created classed characteristic to the Batch Class at the time of class creation. (CL01)
Assignment of batch class to material master in classification view. (MM01)
Creation of MIC with reference to above created Class characteristic (QS21)
Creation of inspection plan with above MIC (QP01)
Follow your business process cycle for creation of inspection lot
Result recording and usage decision (QA32)
You can see in MSC2N that batch characteristic will get updated.

Change History of Material master classification data

Dear all.
How can we see the change history of the Material master classification data.
Whether any standard report exists which can give this Change History data or whether we can find from any tables?
Please let me know your thoughts on this

changes in values for a characteristic can be monitored in CL20N via menu Environment > Change documents
change history for classification is only stored if you activated this.
if it is not set active in your system, then see SAP Note 943559 - FAQ: Frequently asked questions about the classifctn. system
it has instruction how to active it.

Exchange rate error in Material Master Upload (MB1C - 561)

Hi.
While uploading material through MB1C with movement type 561, I am getting following error
My company code currency, material master currency is EUR but still following error is occuring.
"Enter rate EUR / rate type M for 01.10.2010 in the system settings
Message no. SG105
Diagnosis
For the conversion of an amount into another currency, an entry is missing in the currency conversion table.
Procedure
Add the missing entry in the currency conversion table.
Execute function
You can then continue to process the commercial transaction."
Why system is asking to maintain exchange rate for same currency?
What are the settings that I should maintain? Thanks in advance.

My material master currency is EUR
Both Stock and Upload GL accounts currency is EUR
Co COde currency is EUR
Where else is the revevant Settings?
Further, I uploaded one material on 25/Oct/2010 well. But when I am trying to upload the same material again on or before or after
25/Oct/2010 system is giving exchage rate error
What could be the remedy?

Using Tcode MM01 -- Maintain the source fields are
1) mara-amtnr char(18)
2) mara-mbrsh char(1)
3) mara-mtart char(4)
4) makt-maktx char(40)
5) mara-meins char(3)

LSMW(Direct Input) Material master issues

Hi,
I have few issues on Material master-LSMW(Direct Input-RMDATIND) data upload(creating materials).
1. Can i upload excel sheet for uploading data! What option i have to choose in 'specify files' for this!
2. I am using fields MBRSH, MTART, MAKTX, MEINS, BISMT, MATKL, MAGRV for mapping.
    But when i tried to upload in last step-start direct input program with Lock Mode-'N' it is giving error as
    'Plant data does not exist'. Because this is for 'Basic Data' i though no need to input plant.
3. MATNR field is not needed for creation right as it is auto generated!
4. I have to do seperate object for this project for 'Sales organization data' & Plant Data is there any checks needed for the same!
Can anybody give solutions for the above!

1. Now i am trying to process 4 records it is creating 3 records.
    It is always skipping 1st record in flat file.
    Any check required!
2. Also i want to write a output file(log file) to my presentation/application server with all material no's created & material descriptions. Where can i do the same!
3. Can anybody tell me how to upload using excel sheet.

LSMW IDOC MATMAS05 Material Master

Hi Experts,
Actually ,Iam using IDOC method in LSMW for Material Master Upload.
For that Iam using the IDOC type MATMAS05 .
So in the input file when Iam not the giving the Material Number IDOC is getting failed
with status 51 and giving the errors that "NO MATERIAL NUMBER
TRANSFERED".
And
if Iam giving a material number in the test file it is again getting failed
giving the error " The material does not exist ".
I am not able to understand what iam missing here.
Other than this Iam passing all the mandatory fields required .
Also in the each segment iam passing the MSGFN = '009'. i.e. to create.
Pls help.

Material master classification view mandatory

Hi All,
Can we make classification view required for any material creation using MM01.
We want the user to maintain a value in the classification view before the user is allowed to save and create a new material.
Any help would be greatly appreciated

Hi SAP friends,
I found a solution to this problem.
Use the user exit EXIT_SAPLMGMU_001. Call the function module MAIN_PARAMETER_GET to get the PSTAT (maintenance status) during material master creation. If PSTAT does not have a 'C' value, then it means the classification view was not maintained.
To check further if a class type and a class was maintained in the view itself, call the function module CLAP_DDB_ALLOCATION_FR_BUFFER. Pass the value 'MARA' to the PTABLE parameter and the corresponding CLASSTYPE (could be '022', as is my case) and the I_CLASS ('FIFO_BATCH' in my case). This function module will return the T_ALLOCATIONS table. If the table is blank, it means no class type and class were maintained.
Then you can just display the appropriate error message.
