Hi to all,
I am facing the error message while specifying the file(7th step) in LSMW as below
<b>File Name 'Converted Data': Max. 45 Characters. Remaining data saved.
Message no. /SAPDMC/LSMW_OBJ_060028</b>
Diagnosis
Some import interfaces only accept file names (including path) that have a maximum of 45 characters.
System Response
All data except the file name of the converted data is saved.
Procedure
Adjust the file name for the converted data.
I am not able proceed further steps in LSMW..
please give your valuable suggation and solutions.

Even I am facing this error. I tried from the root directory also. But I am getting the same error. (D:\LSMW\t.txt).
Also, another text file with the path name C:\Documents and Settings\Desktop\testmass.txt was uploaded without any problem.
Can anyone please help in solving this?

Hi Kumar,
This error occurs because LSMW restrict the converted data file (path and filename)
to max of 45 characters.
The naming of this converted file is auto-assigned by LSMW at the first creation.
but you can modify the name and shorten it manually by going to step
Specify Files
-> double click the converted data and shorten the filename until the length
of filepath and name is less than 45.

Shared photo-stream, makes long file names with 42 random characters

Windows icloud 3.1, in a shared photo-stream, makes file names with 42 random characters long. It didn't do this in iCloud 2. I have installed iCloud 3.1 on a windows 8.0 and 8.1 machine and two Windows 7 machines. They all do the same thing. It used to give me file names like "IMG_0001.jpg" now it gives me random file names like "01a9fc3363330464233a142486180f0c1622eb9fca.jpg" all the pictures are out order.
Does anyone have fix for this? Does any one else have this problem? I have posted this before and know one else that uses windows seams to have this problem exect me. I did call Apple and they did some research and bumped me up to senior techs and eventuality Apple told me this is working the way it was designed to. This is extremely stupid, I need the sequential file names so the pictures will sort correctly.

I did find a Work Around. What I do when I receive a folder full of pictures from another ios iPhone user, I copy all the photos as a batch from the PhotoStream folder into a free Windows program called "FastStone Photo Resizer" from www.FastStone.org. This program allows you to resize the photos as a batch to what ever size you wish. In my case I resize them to 2560 x 1440 which fills my 27" monitor and reduces the file size of each picture from 2MB or 3MB down to about 450 KB without degrading the picture as far as what you see on the screen.
This program will also within the same batch operation, allow you to sort the pictures by "Date Taken" which is the Date and Time the picture was taken. It gets this information from the EXIF data in the jpg file. This program will then rename the files with different numbering format options including date, time, alphanumberic and with just simple numbers starting at what ever number you wish to start with. I can get files that look like this again "IMG_0001.jpg" and have all the pictures in the correct order that they were taken. At this point, I save the pictures directly to a folder on my PC. The cool thing about this is, all the EXIF data is preserved as well. I can process a 100 pictures in less that 60 seconds. I hope this helps. For me, I can now live with this iCloud numbering defect.

Even i used to get the file suffix with date & time, and i found very difficult to pick up the file from application server using routine in infopackge. Then i asked to change to date only and it was easy to pick the file using routine. But i think in your case files are coming more than once, in such a case you should write a small unix script to add these files and then convert into single file with date only and execute the infopackage to load it.

I recently upgraded to a new Macbook Air running Lion, from my 2007 white Macbook running Snow Leopard. I had Office for Mac 2004 on the 2007, but had to upgrade to Office for Mac 2011 to be compatible with Lion on the Air. Now when I try to open my documents on the Air that were saved under Office 2004 on the old computer, I get the following message: Word cannot open this document. Ha,ha,ha.....I figured it out. But for anyone else who's having this problem, it seems that while Office 2004 allowed dates in this format: 00/00/00, Office 2011 doesn't like it at all. I just changed the format in the document names to 00-00-00 and all is well. Documents are opening beautifully!

LSMW file read & convert file name

This is pretty hot - any ideas to automate will be helpful.
Is there a way to programmatically change the default name for the LSMW file read and file convert names?
For example if read & conv file is
Plant_Master_Material.lsmw.read & Plant_Master_Material.lsmw.conv,
I want to programmatically append userid and make the file name look like
Plant_Master_Material_myid.lsmw.read & Plant_Master_Material_myid.lsmw.conv.
It can be done manually via step specify file in LSMW, but I want to automate that step.

Its not possible to make it automatically,
name for the LSMW file read and file convert will as such like this
PROJECT_SUBPROJECT_OBJECT.lsmw.read & lsmw.conv.
This can not be changed...if u need it u can have u r userid under u r object name...

HT4221 Synched Photos from PC should be in File Name Order, not by last modified date

Since installing IOS 7 the sorting of my photos from my PC sent to my Iphone have become totally random.
Apple claims the files are by Last Date Modified.
I have a very detailed file naming system on my PC which makes Photo Retrieval by Date, Name, Subject easy.
Is there any software that recognizes the Windows File Name? The sequence file names given during SYNCH are useless.

When you import into iPhoto, each imported set goes into a folder called Last Import.
One way to do what you want without losing your organization:
iPhoto / File / Import to Library. Navigate to the first folder on the pc. and click on Import. The contents of the folder on the PC will all come together.
On the Mac the photos will be in the folder called Last Import.
On the Mac, create a new folder with the name you want. (File Menu / New folder)
Move the photos as a batch (select all) from the Last Import folder to the one you just named.
Do this as many time as you have folders.

Installed mac installer.dmg Seagate GoFlex and drive and file names now in Chinese characters

I just installed the mac installer.dmg from Seagate on a second Mac so that I could use Seagate GoFlex drive with the computer, but now the drive shows up with its name and the file names in Chinese characters! Connecting the drive to the original mac has the drive show up named properly but a few of the files show up in Chinese characters. What gives?

I should add that these are the instructions I received from Seagate in answer to the same inquiry. I have not yet gone to work to give them a try.

Getting file names of different groups in a data portal

Hi,
I am finding difficult to retreive the file names of the different groups loaded in the data portal. For example, say I have loaded two different files of same ext .tdms in to the data portal which automatically assigns as two groups. My objective is to retreive the file name of the two groups loaded using VBS in diadem 11.1.
Can anyone help me in this regard.

I have got a plugin which loads the multiple lvm files with their sourcefile name. Earlier it would be like Labview Data, Labview data1, Labview data2.... when multiple files are loaded. Now with this plugin attached in the startup script, all the files are loaded with their original file names.
Attached the plugins, place the Custom LVM Load Event. Vbs in the start up script, the other attachment is the function callled by the main script.

Idoc file name restricted to 100 characters

The file name (include Directory Path) for Idocs seems limited to 100 characters (it truncates).
Can anyone confirm this?
Is there a workaround (other than changing to a shorter path)?

CS6 Pshop - Alerts at startup; "All Readable Documents" not defaulting at opening; Format in file name not same as Format list when saving file

Just downloaded CS6 Design Standard. System - OS10.6.8 (about to upgrade to 10.8), iMac 27 i5Intel 4core 12GBram 2.66Ghz
As Pshop opens, I get three alerts...
1 - Could not load Enable Async I/O module because does not work with this version of Photoshop
2 - Could not load Multiprocessor Support module because does not work with this version of Photoshop
3 - Could not load FastCore Routines module because does not work with this version of Photoshop
Then asks if I want to be connected to internet or something like that. Then Pshop opens even before I click OK
None of these happened with CS5.5
I realize CS6 is 64bit. I have CS5.5 set at 32bit because of plugins.
Two issues I've noticed so far with CS6.
1 - As I open a document, the Enable selections drop down at bottom of window is not set on anything. I have to always select the All Readable Documents. Not the case in CS5.5 which was always default at All Readable Documents. Could not find anything in Prefs to this issue.
2 - When saving a document, whether RGB or CMYK, the drop down Format selections are not accurate. The first three or four do read correctly as correlating with the suffix (.jpg .tif etc) in the file name at top of window. But then the subsequent format selections below third or fourth one read as the one above it in the list.
eg: as RGB file: Saving through BMP indicates same in file name at top (.bmp). However, the next choice below that, Gif, still shows as .bmp in file name at top. And so on to bottom of list. Same with CMYK file.
Never saw this in CS5.5.
When I initially installed CS6, I noticed only item in the Plugins folder was Panels folder.... no other plugins. I thought this to be a download error of some sort and dragged basic plugins from 5.5 into 6 Plugins folder. Could this be the problem? Otherwise, I would have NO plugins in CS6
I have downloaded CS6 twice now thinking the first was corrupted. I used both download options on Adobe page - Akamai and standard
Same issues with both. One response stated this all to be a plugins problem. I have uninstalled "after market" plugins from both 5.5 & 6 SuperBladePro was the only one. Restarted CS6. Still same problems. Only items in Plugins are what came with program.

I owe an apology to the previous responder Chris C, to this issue. I misread his solution thinking he meant I needed to delete ONLY the "additional" plugins like SBPro. Which I did. But rereading, I see he meant ALL the plugins I dragged from 5.5 because the 6 plugins folder was empty.
I thought it was corrupted in download. So if you guys get points for solutions, be sure Chris gets a few since I responded saying it did not work.
In fact, after removing the 5.5 plugins from 6, everything is working fine.
Plus I didn't know the 6 plugin folder was for the "after markets" like SBPro which is good to know.
Also thanks for the fairly quick response. I'm typically dubious about forums as troubleshooting solutions.

But still bummed that Chats do not support CS6 however.

Rac to non rac with ASM both, please find the below details.
Primary Setup.
diskgroup NAME for all files for both primary and standby +DATA
pmon,unique and service name at standby-rac1, rac2
db version -11.2.0.1
platform - HP -UX
$ ps -ef | grep pmon
oracle11 22329 1 0 22:33:55 ? 0:28 ora_pmon_rac1
oragrid 23522 1 0 Jan 2 ? 1:30 asm_pmon_+ASM1
$ ps -ef | grep pmon
oracle11 22329 1 0 22:33:55 ? 0:28 ora_pmon_rac2
oragrid 23522 1 0 Jan 2 ? 1:30 asm_pmon_+ASM2
database and Unique name - RAC, so all files on ASM created under +DATA/RAC
Stanby setup
diskgroup NAME for all files for both primary and standby +DATA
pmon,unique and service name at standby- racdr
$ ps -ef | grep pmon

database name and unique name is racdr, so all files on ASM created under DATA/racdr when cloned with RMAN from primary backup. (by settling log_file and db_file covert from DATA/RAC to +DATA/racdr )
so now everything ok... but how do we create a new datafiles at primary for the above setting success, ??? and reflect on standby ???.
1.create tablespace tbs size 10g;
2.create tablespace tbs datafile '+/DATA/RAC/test.dbf size 10g; ??
3.create tablespace tbs datafile '+/DATA size 10g;???
4. directories name on asm and specifying on the convert options is case sensitive ???

my primary is rac
my standby us racdr
so i mentioned above folders on convert option, so if i created datafile with or without specifying a diskgroup like mentione below, with or without specifying the directory like below
will all create on under '+DATA/racdr' diskgroup ??
create tablespace test DATA size10m; --> not specidying a full path as DATA/RAC' so will it go to DATA/racdr' ?? or creating under DATA ?diskgroup on standby????

I have recently lost all my cannel information within NI-MAX. In order to prevent this in the future, Can anyone tell the name of the file that stores all the channel information created using NI-MAX?

C:\Program Files\National Instruments\MAX\Data
Refer to this KB which explains how to save your MAX system configuration.

Ive deleted alot of movies off my mac but the file name of every movie still remains in all files? how do i get rid of the name? it wont let me delete :(

Select  ▹ System Preferences ▹ Spotlight ▹ Privacy. The list of items excluded from Spotlight indexing is shown (it may be empty.) Click the plus (“+”) icon to add an item to the list. Select your boot volume (under DEVICES) and add it to the list. Then remove it from the list by selecting it and clicking the minus (“-“) icon.
Spotlight will rebuild the index. If you try to do a Spotlight search now from the magnifying-glass icon in the top right corner of the display, a pulsing dot will appear in the icon. When the dot disappears, the indexing is complete.

LSMW Read/Converted File Name

Hi,
Normally when you specify file, a name will be generated for the read and converted file with different extention. Now, is it possible to have a more dynamic way of naming this file? My requirement would be to have the read/converted named differently on each load (without changing the name in LSMW config on each run), for eg. lsmw_read_20022009.read and lsmw_read20022009.conv. In this example, the date is the variable and should change base on system date, so the next load on a different will have a different date. I got some ideas from logical/physical file, but I am not sure how and if its applicable. Any ideas?

regarding the LSMW we have lot of tables , if you chnage the file names in table level based on dates it will fick the files form tables
goto se11 and give the /SAPDMC* then press the F4 you will get 48 tables, if its possible to chnage the file names your probelm is solved....
