LSMW for AFS materials

Hi
Iam trying to load AFS material data thru LSMW ..and iam successfully loaded the AFS specific data.
But when iam trying to create or update the AFS Valuation data,,,The standard price is not created or updated with price control field...Both fields are greyed out on the screen, but LSMW has the structure J_3ADI5 which has all the fields in AFS valuation to create, for some reason its not creating/updating....
there is a separate transaction to update or create the price but i wanted to do with LSMW.
Can anybody has an idea or did this before

I dont know AFS, but I know that SAP does not allow to change valuation price of standard material master after it was used, not even with MM02 transaction.
the reason is that the material master programs are there to create the master data, but price changes are transaction data where at least a price change document is to be created and dependend on stock situation as well an accounting document.
Can you update the the price with the usual maintenance transaction manually for your AFS material?

SKU data missing in GR slip for AFS materials

Dear experts,
I have set the necessary IMG settings for GR slip and it did work for goods receipt for a PO.
However, if I did goods receipt for AFS materials, there were no SKU level data in the output form.
I checked release note 6.4 and there are some new forms in the new business function /AFS/FORM_SIMPLIFICATION.
How could I adopt this function? Or there's other solution for my issue?

Output for GR is Printed through T-code 'MB90".
Note - in GRN Individual /Collective Slip and Print indicator should be selected.
Enter the GRN No,Select the Output type and Execute.

LSMW for extending materials to new set of plants

Hello All,
Our requirement is to extend some hundreds of materials to a set of few plants. Can this be done in LSMW? Or should BDC be used??
Please elaborate on this.

How can I extend materials to a new plant and Sales Org. through LSMW?
I use the Standard Batch Object 0020, program RMDATIND for creating new Materials the first time (this qworks fine), but there is no option 'Extend to existing material' or there is no field called Reference Material...
Maybe it is because we use internal numbering of the new Materials that makes it unpossible to extend materials to existing material-numbers?

MB1C via LSMW for Serialized Materials not loading all Items

Dear Experts,
I am using LSMW to load initial entry of materials with serial numbers using Tcode MB1C. The challenge i am having is that not more than three(3) of the serials get uploaded the remaining are not loaded. I have items that have varying quantities. What could be responsible for this?

You should not do LSMW on MMSC, this does not make much sense.
Use standard given mateial master import procedures, like BAPI, which is the easiest procedure to create just one view.
By the way, you can do it easily with MM17, except you have to maintain individual values líke bin description.

Catalog for AFS product pricing

Pricing of a grid product is associated with the grid.
So the prices are at grid level and not at the main item level.
Thatu2019s the reason, prices will be shown corresponding to the grid in the grid screen instead of in product catalog.
You need to change the user setting to include the price info

AFS materials out bound delivery

could any body let me know how to carry out Out out bound delivery for AFS materials.it is for my inter co stock transfers.
Standard material it is happenung but not for AFS. i cant find AFS grids in AFS data or Picking tab.
what are the settings to be done for this.

hi,
go to vl01n give the shipping point ,sales orderno then enter.
once we go into the transaction, check the delivered quantity is there.Then select the afs data tab(first one)once we selected
go to afs picking tab and give your picking quantity.
i think it will solve your issues.

Classification view creation via LSMW for Material master

Hi,
We are planning to have an LSMW for creation of material master along with classification view for configurable materials.
Though we see a flag to indicate classification view - XEIC1 Indicator: take Classification view into account
We do not see a structure where in we can pass all the characteristics and the corresponding values.
Is this something possible only with BAPIs such as -> BAPI_OBJCL_CREATE after creation of other view for that material.

However, we were intending to use a single LSMW for creation of all views of material master including classification view. Right now we are using Program RMDATIND as direct input method in LSMW.
Please let me know if there is a way to use single LSMW for creation of all views of material master.

A small logical problem in LSMW for MM01...

I need to create a LSMW for MM01 transaction, wherein I have to check the initial four
digits of the material as 'ORCL'. If initial four digits of the
incoming material are 'ORCL', then create this material as it is.
Else replace these four digits with 'SAPM' (for sap material) while
creating this material.
This will differentiate between materials coming from Oracle and non
oracle system.
I know that I need to create a new rule in the step 5 of LSMW: "Maintain Field Mapping and Conversion Rules", under the ABAP heading.
But, how should the rule proceed??

Now, I need to replace the records which are not 'ORCLXXX' with SAPXXX format. For example, say a record has the material number as ORCL007. This will pass on and created as ORCL007. If a record has the material number as MMMM007, this should be converted to SAPM007.
Should I use fieldsymbols for this, or just replace the strings??

Vendor Return for VMI for multiple materials

We have a scenario where we need to do return to Vendor for many items (1000 plus). Is there a way to do this easily other than using MBRL which is a very difficult and complicated process, considering the number of transactions we need to do. My understanding is that SAP does not support Vendor Return PO process for the VMI materials. Can anyone help?

The return delivery can entered from MBRL or MIGO...
If you have 1000+ line item and all line item has a different quantity and different material document number, Then you can run LSMW for MBRL..

Creating an LSMW for routing

Hi
I have managed to create a LSMW model, that wil create (CA01) a routing.
My problem is that components (from the BOM) is not assigned to operations.
When I display converted data, just before I create a batch input session, I can can see selected components is assigned to an operation.
When I use transaction CA03 afterwards, behind the TAB " CompAlloc" there is no materials that has been assigned to operations.
Has anyone any experience on this issue?

LSMW for MR21

Hi Experts,
What we are trying to do is to change prices for 106 products for 26 plants. So when we try to record LSMW it is giving materials and plants as index. Like MATNR_01 MATNR_02 and NEWVALPR_01NEWVALPR_02.
How will we make the file based on this then the columns will be too many in excel. Please let me know steps for recording LSMW for MR21.

Hi,
the LSMW recording must be created for 20 line items (material, new price, maybe new price unit) and is stored then, thus 20 price changes are posted using ONE document number (it works like that).
After you have created youe LSMW-project with that recording, go to T-code LSMW enter the project and than "Goto / recordings". Edit your recording in a way that the field for "material number, new price, new price unit" which appears 20 times is changed to "material1, material 2, material 3,... material20" (the other repeating fields as well) to make them unique within your recording.
Your MS Excel source can look like that (columns):
Plant, Material1, New price1, New price unit1, material2, new price2,...material20,new price20, new price unit20.
Now do the field mapping in LSMW and try...

LSMW for Inspection Plan

I am a requirement to upload the Quality Management data through LSMW.
1) Quality Info Recrod
2) Inspection Plan
For the first one, I could able to create Project in LSMW and successfully do for over 200 customers.
I am saying problem in creating and uploading the Inspection Plan data.
I created one inspection plan with a material in QP01 (Tcode), and assigned one customer in "Material Assignment".
We have only hand full of materials (6-10 max) with MICs (10 - 15 max). So I using the same Inspection plan for material and I want to assign all the customer in Inspection plan at "Material Assignment". But at "Run Batch Input Record" in LSMW, it is failing. due to the below errors.
1) Field MAPL-PLNAL(2) is not an input field
2) Field MAPL-MATNR(2) is not an input field
3) Field MAPL-WERKS(2) is not an input field
I understand that these fields are repeating, as these fields are required in "Material Assignment" tab, where I will mention Counter, Matl, Plant and Customer. but it is saying these fields are not for input. If I dont use these fields in Field mapping then it will throw an error during actual recording.
So, I need some inputs on it and all of your suggestions will be valuable.

I would suggest to go for BAPI instead of LSMW for the inspection plans, if possible.

the very first step of LSMW gives you the option to choose the import method.
SAP provides 2 import methods ready for use:
BAPI method:
BUS1001002
SAVEREPLICA
BATMAS
BATMAS03
and IDOC method
BATMAS
