LSMW for twoTCODEs at a time

Hi experts,
1.can we upload the data for two transaction at a time.
eg. i want to upload the data for quotation in ME41 .once the quotation is created we have to maintain quotation in tcode ME47. Is it possible. How please explain me.
2.I have 3 legacy files to upload. In that 2 files for one tcode & 1 file for another tcode. How can i define it according to Tcode. How to maintain the relationship between the strucures? Do we need to code for this? can u explain me from LSMW step 2 to 6 for this requirement.

You can set a field in source structure as indentify field. And when upload file, LSMW will differentiate the entries by this field and store them into respective structure. (This for one file => multi-structure)
And you can also create multiple file source, and assign them to respective source structure. (This for multi-file => multi-structure)
But I think you can't record multiple tcode in one LSMW BDC record, it is not same as we do in SHDB. When a tcode finish, the BDC recorder will close automatically.

Hello,
The first thing to do, is to specify TWO (or more) transaction recordings in step 1.
Then, in step 2, you should specify the source structures - one for every transaction recording.
In step 3, you should maintain fields for your structure.
In step 4 you relate recordings with source structures.
In the next few steps, you'll have to assign fields, specify your files, then assign files to structures.

Creation of lsmw for updation of position and pers area

Hi friends,
I am tried many time to update position and personnel area through lsmw for all employees ,at time of recording its coming.But once compltion of lsmw preparation i am uploaded my inputs through tabfile that time its updating only personnel number and infotype and its asking the save the action screen (At the same time its showing one popup below screen like there is no recording for mp000000).Can you tell any one there whats the problem.At the same time is it possible to upload the position and personnel area through lsmw.

Are you performing a hiring actions, if you are performing a hiring action, when you start with LSMW, the recording should be correct with hire date or start date, personnel number, reason for hire, position number, personal area, employee group and subgroup.
The source field you specific should contain the required field name, type, length and field discription. The field mapping should be done perfectly and assign the specified file in txt format and try to upload.

LSMW can't upload large amount of data into the database.
Whereas BDC SESSION CALL /TRANSACTION method can upload large amount of data into the database.
The error capture method is superior in BDC.
BDC programs can be scheduled to run on periodic basis as per the customer requirements.

LSMW for routing with standard batch input

Hello All,
I am trying to prepare one LSMW for routing upload for PP module. Routing data contains header data, operation data and master inspection characteristics data.
I have created three source structures viz. material- task list header, task header data, operation and inspection.
Header has been assigned to target structure BIMPL- Batch Input Structure for Allocation of Mat. to Task Lists,
Task header data source structure has been assigned to BIPKO- Batch Input Structure for Task List Header,
Operation source structure has been assigned to target structure BIPPO- Batch input structure for task list operation,
and inspection source structure has been assigned to BIPMK- Inspection characteristics for batch input of task lists.
Every source structure has been identified with an identifier value of which have been set as H, I,J,K for all source structures resp.
The excel file has been prepared as follows,
H     MATNR     WERKS     PLNNR     PLNAL
H     100045     1000     50000043     1
H     100045     1000     50000043     2
I     MATNR     WERKS     PLNNR     PLNAL     VALID_FROM     USAGE     STATUS

I have mentioned here the combination of first two structures only. But it contains data of other two source structures as well (for identifier J & K).
The data from the excel is copied to the flat file and same is specified in LSMW in the step 'Specify file'.
In 'Assign file' step the flat file is assigned to all the four source structure.
Now at the time of reading data system is throwing me an error as 'Ensure field sequence is correct for data for mutiple source structures' Message no. /SAPDMC/LSMW_OBJ_060026
How to overcome this?

LSMW for ZZFields

Hi all,
I am working on LSMW for customer and vendor master upload from legacy to SAP system using Standard Batch input.
I have ZZFields in KNB1 table,Is it possible to populate them in LSMW Standard batch input?
Or I have to go for other methods, like Batch Input Recording or BAPI or IDOC?
Please guide me for this issue, I appreciate your patience and time for the valuable input......

I didn't find a program with a B on the astrix position.
I found a list of programs for the customer master BI programs, they are;

RFBIDEG1
RFBIDEK0
RFBIDET0
I am thinking RFBIDG0 or RFBIEG1..........

we have a requirement form the user to upload all the existing assets to new asset shells through ABUMN, we need to create the
lsmw recording for the same, iam doing the lsmw recording and each time i do the recording the system says cant save the recording

I think your concern is about updating dervation rule values not derivation rule .
You can cut paste 20 rule values at a time .. so use cut paste .. from excel.. Updating 1000 values will not take more than 20 mins ..
I have never used LSMW for Derivation rule values.. as from excel you can easily cut paste and do it within 30 mins.

LSMW for MR21

Hi Experts,
What we are trying to do is to change prices for 106 products for 26 plants. So when we try to record LSMW it is giving materials and plants as index. Like MATNR_01 MATNR_02 and NEWVALPR_01NEWVALPR_02.
How will we make the file based on this then the columns will be too many in excel. Please let me know steps for recording LSMW for MR21.

Hi,
the LSMW recording must be created for 20 line items (material, new price, maybe new price unit) and is stored then, thus 20 price changes are posted using ONE document number (it works like that).
After you have created youe LSMW-project with that recording, go to T-code LSMW enter the project and than "Goto / recordings". Edit your recording in a way that the field for "material number, new price, new price unit" which appears 20 times is changed to "material1, material 2, material 3,... material20" (the other repeating fields as well) to make them unique within your recording.
Your MS Excel source can look like that (columns):
Plant, Material1, New price1, New price unit1, material2, new price2,...material20,new price20, new price unit20.
Now do the field mapping in LSMW and try...

Error While Doing LSMW For CL20N.

Am creating a LSMW For CL20N. While doing tht through the Batch Input Method its throwing a Runtime error message DYNPRO-NOT-FOUND.

Hello,
Check recording you have done for CL20N transaction. Look out for screen call sequence.
Looks like the screen call sequence is different while recording & at time you uploading your data.
You can check it while uploading data with run BDC MODE 'A'. displays ALL screen.
In this way you can see where error is coming up with your upload data.
Try to do re-recording of the same transaction with your upload data.
Some-time depending upon your upload data screen sequence gets changed, this may cause the BDC while upload to fail.
Make sure your BDC recording with test data & upload data are matching in business data sense.

LSMW for 2001 with conversion rules....

Hi Data migration experts,
I have a requiremet,i have to do a LSMW for infotype 2001 where i have to write some converion rules as follows:
1. If PERNR begins with '00' must be changed to '01' - e.g. '00000010' becomes '01000010'
2. Begin date and End date should be converted from YYYYMMDD -> DD.MM.YYYY.
CAn you please help me,how and in which step i can do this

Hi,
Select the Radio Button Maintain Field Mapping and Conversion Rules and double click on the this step.
After Mapping is done..Place the cursor on the field and press the Insert Rule(Ctrl+F4) a popup get displayed and select the radio button ABAP Code and press ok.
Script Editor is opened and you can write the conversions here.

LSMW for IP30 possible or not

Hi all,
I am successful in LSMW for all my requirement, but I am trying to have LSMW recording for IP30 (deadline monitoring), i am not successful, as in this case, the Execute button is clicked before the recording. Execute button is not recognising in the recording, I am struck here.
Kindly let us know whether LSMW is possible for IP30 or not. Pl help.

Hi,
IP 30 is it self a Back ground job for Scheduling the Maintenance Plan.Use SM35 Create the Batch job by mantaining the Variant Name,ABap Programme-RISTRA20,Language--EN.Then maintain the Batch Job start date and Time.system automaticaly perform schduling.No NEED FOR LSMW RECORDING for this.
If you want LSMW any how for Schduling of Maintenace Plan Then Create The LSMW Object for Transction Code--IP10 it will work

LSMW for transaction KO01 and KOKRS

Hi
Could you give me a hint, in which way should I fill field KOKRS in LSMW for transaction KO01, please?
I've a recording for the transaction and field KOKRS is filled from SVALD-VALUE(01).
The LSMW work OK only for first record from source data flat file and if I want to post all data from file I must run the LSMW so many times as the number of records in flat file.

Lsmw for mm01 is not working

Hello experts,
We are extending the material to another plant and storage location etc.
so i want to do in lsmw. but it is not working fine .please help me.
First in the lsmw i selected recording and done the recording for mm01.
in the first screen i entered
material abc,industry sector mech engi, material type wfinis and copy from material abc,then i pressed the
enter and i selected the views Sales: Sales Org. Data 1,Sales: Sales Org. Data 2,
Purchasing and Accounting 1.
then i pressed enter and got the screen to enter plant, valuation type , sales org, cist channel. so i enterd
plant ,sale org and dist channel in the organization levels and copy from fields.
then i pressed enter and in the next screen i entered some required data and pressed enter and in another
screen o entered and etc and finally saved . The recording is
successful .then i completed all the lsmw steps when i run the session it is showing the error
at the screen where we enter the orginational levels like plant, sales org etc.
our flat file is a text file and it is in the same order as in
the lsmw.
I approched one senior consultant and he said we cant do lsmw bcuse
the org level screen will be moving every time.
so please kindly help me what to do to analyse this error.
=>Can we debug the lsmw , if so how.
=>In one moment previously 2 days back when i am doing lsmw i got a
error with return code 13, please tell what actually means and where to see this one.

First of all its not advisable to use the recording method in lsmw for uploading the material master data. It involves lot of views so if something goes wrong very much difficult to identify the error point, at the same time I will advise you to go with bapi or idoc method to do the same.
When comes to you question regarding the debugging of lsmw you can debug it.
From the usermenu tab take the generate conversion program step into u r list of steps
then execute it and go into the program and put a break point then execute the convert data step directly you will get into the debugging mode you do debug the code.

LSMW for FV50 - park document

Hi,
I need to create LSMW recording (or maybe you suggest another way?) to have Journal Enry uploads every month-end. (JE's are having many line and my team want to upload them instead of entering).
They have to be PARKED, not posted.
So, i thought of doing recording of FV50.
I did it and it is not working. Because there is a header with doc.date, posting date, etc...And then line items.
I think i did recording wrong, because it is asking for the header data while posting every line.
I think there should be something like 2 spreadsheets instead of one - one for header and one for lines.
I've done it ones long time ago, but i forgot how.
Can anyone help me out? Maybe tell me if you have screen shots or just advise on how to do it?

Same means:
Expenses Account 1 Dr GBP 100
Expenses Account 2 Dr GBP 150
Expenses Account 3 Dr GBP 200
To Vendor Account 450
Every time your excel sheet should 3 debits and one credit. (the gl accounts, vendor account and amounts may differ). If it is not 3 debits and one credit, your LSMW will fail. (in recording)
We cannot expect the end user to run LSMW every time. Once cases, where there is no other way, we go with LSMW for end user.
BDC recording by ABAPer is creating a new program and customized transaction code. This makes end user life more easily. Simply select the file and execute. You can use selections 1. Direct Post 2. Batch
In case of batch, the user needs to go to SM35 and post either in background or foreground.
