LSMW Reading but not Writing

Hello,
I am trying to load Open PR using the program RM06BBI0. I have defined the structures, maintained source fields and identified they key that i incorporated into the my load file. However, when after the step Read, I noticed that LSMW is not writing the records. I have tried changing the keys or filling in STYPE  or sometimes the PR Number but still the LSMW is not writing. Any help?

Hi
In the reading step LSMW uploads your file only, so do you mean any data is uploaded?
If I've understood your file has different strictures (probably one for heade and one for item): have you defined the file links for both structures?

  • PDF form submission problem - works in Acrobat and Reader, but not when embedded in browser

    Hello everyone,
I am trying to submit a PDF form to an application server.
To do this, I added a "Submit" button to the PDF, configured the server's address and submit format, and tested the button.
I opened the PDF in Acrobat Pro, clicked the button, and my web application received the form in PDF format just as I wanted.
To make it work in Reader, I had to extend user rights via Acrobat Pro, and then the form worked inside Reader as well.
Up to here, everything went fine.
Then I embedded the PDF in a web page (which will be the final scenario) and it all stopped working.
The submit button doesn't do anything anymore, and no data is sent to the application server.
I even tried switching from the form's submit mechanism to calling event.target.submitForm(...) in Javascript directly, but nothing changed (meaning this too worked only when opening the form as an "offline" pdf, but not when embedding it in a web page).
Is there something I am missing? Something else that must be configured/activated in order to be able to submit the PDF when it is in the form of an embedded object?
    Many thanks in advance,
    Alex

    Thanks for your reply, Paul.
I tested the submit button both in Reader 9.3 and Acrobat 8 (which is the same I used to RE the PDF).
Apparently I got it working too, but only by deploying my embedding web page to an application server.
The final environment the PDF will be embedded into will be inside a web application deployed to an application server, so I guess my problem is solved.
It didn't work only when embedded into a local test.html web page saved on my PC...
Thanks again, have a good day.

  • Reader X: DDE Open command can open Reader but not open a specified target PDF

Once again Adobe has issued an update which breaks existing business systems. After the fiasco of Reader 9.3.4 failing to open external files such as SWF or XLS, the new Reader X is not opening the requested PDF when called via DDE.
The Reader X always opens with a "What do you want to do?" panel, offering various manually selected actions. What is required is for the Reader to open the PDF file specified in the DDE call, as it has done in all previous versions.
Is there a fix for this, or an alternative calling mechanism?
We have an external application which allows students to navigate around the various modules and lessons within their course. When they select a lesson, a DDE call is raised to request the appropriate lesson PDF to open in Reader. The external program uses a small floating, semi-transparent form, which allows easy lesson selection, automatic bookmarking and other functions. This functionality could not be achieved with simple PDF full of hyperlinks to the lessons.
The further problem is that many hundreds of these various courses are already in use by students around the world. We cannot easily prevent them from accepting upgrades to Reader X, nor supply them all with an alternative control method. All we can do is suggest anyone experiencing this problem to dump the new version and download version 9.4
Has anyone any ideas to fix the broken functionality in Reader X, or a satisfactory way to work around this failure ?
    Thanks

    Thanks for your contribution Dave.
The DDE call should not be case sensitive. Various writings on this page quote Acroview and AcroView, but I have tried various combinations and results are the same whatever case is used. It is acroviewR10 which I have used with success in my updated calls.
ManishPali has not responded to my question of where he found these R10 and A10 settings, but if these were intended to be the only access, they can give rise to even more scope for program failure. The majority of users will have only the free Reader, but some may have the full Acrobat program, and not Reader. So when we use 'acroviewR10' in our call, anyone with only Acrobat will again find the program failing.
Also of note is that using 'acroview' works in a call to open Reader X, but will not work to close Reader X or to open a PDF within Reader X. Why is one service still recognising the plain acroview, but the other services require the R10 suffix?
Dave says that this should be fixed in version 10.0.1, but is this just a hope, or a statement of intent from someone involved with Reader development? If this is fixed, how long will it take for that next release to be in common circulation?
In the meantime, we are preparing patches to send to any students who experience this problem, and also upgrading the master CD for each Course to add an option to the Config menu, allowing the user to select Reader X or not.
I think the developers at Adobe believe every user is within a corporation with centralised IT control, so everyone has the same, known version of any software and can be given new versions or advised of issues at will. In the real world, there are millions of independent users scattered across the globe who have no IT support and often have limited knowledge. For example, it is not uncommon to ask a user which version of Windows they are running and be quoted their MS Office version instead. Any extra complication in setting up or using their new software is a significant problem likely to result in lengthy support calls, and a loss of confidence in the product.

  • Form is fillable in Reader but not in Acrobat

I created a fillable, saveable, password protected form in LiveCycle Designer 9.0. It works as intended if opened with Adobe Reader 9 and Adobe Acrobat X. But when I email it to myself at work and open it in Adobe Acrobat 7.0 Pro, it's still password protected, but not fillable. Why is this?
I have a previous incarnation of the form that does work correctly in both Reader 9 and Acrobat 7 Pro. Somewhere along the way I made some changes and now it doesn't work. Anyone know what I might be doing wrong?

    Hi,
Interactive PDFs created in Adobe Livecycle will work with the target version, which will be configured at File > Form Properties > Default: Choose version to run form.
In you case what i assume (bad to say) but, you have created a PDF that works with Target version 9 or later for both Acrobat and Reader. So, when this sort of PDF form is opened in the earlier version, it provides undesirable results, and will not work properly. (For every new target version Adobe provides new functionalities to create PDFs.)
and as per the password, Adobe Acrobat has already provided with the security features in it, it works.
So, Create an Interactive PDF on setting the target version 7.0.5 or later, and i think that should work.
Apologize, in case i am misunderstanding your question.
    thanks,
    Rajesh

  • Image Capture connects to card reader but not camera

Image Capture and iPhoto do not detect new connected Canon camera.  Will read card via card reader.  Camera will connect to older macbook iPhoto and Image Capture but not my iMac.  Image Capture in Mountain Lion has no perferences anymore.  Tried Repairing Disk Permissions but no success. Any ideas?

Sorry, there is no setting on the AirPort Extreme card built-in your new iMac that can be tweaked to "force" a connection to the Netgear's "n" network.
Does your Netgear allow for different Network Names (or SSIDs) for each of its radios? If so, you can try an experiment by renaming the 5 GHz radio's Network Name, and then, specifically connect the iMac to it.
Also, since "n" can operate on either radio, it appears that your iMac is "locking" on the 2.4 GHz radio. Does your iMac have any trouble connecting to any other "n" Wi-Fis? If so, then there may be a problem with either the AirPort Extreme card or the internal antennae on the iMac ... and it would warrant a visit to your local Apple Store to have them take a look.

  • Server Agent job failing but not writing to Error log

We recently migrated from Server 2003 to 2008 R2 running Microsoft SQL Management Studio 2008.  We've had a few bumps along the road but my main concern is a SQL Server Agent job that runs at 1:00 AM is failing part way through. Some of the work is
done but not all. The Job Activity Monitor reports it failed but nothing goes in the Error Log. The job did run successfully last week during tests but these failures came after going live and bring over the latest data.
I guess I really need help in diagnosing the lack of information in the Error Log. If I had that data I can begin to follow the bread crumbs to the actual problem.

The Job Activity Monitor reports it failed but nothing goes in the Error Log.
The Agent writes error to it's own log file, called SQLAGENT.OUT, it's also located in LOG subfolder and you also can look it up in SSMS from node "SQL Server Agent"

  • I AM READING BUT NOT COMPREHENDING VERY WELL. HELP!!

    Hello everyone!
I am so frustrated! The only way I could get input and output was by using a file from the wonderful book on Logic Pro 7 and Logic Express 7. I have NEVER been able to set up my own input-output setup in LE 7 and the same is true with LE 8. This is such an essential thing that one should know how to do; it is so basic! Yet, I am unable to do this a all. Not with the screen keyboard, my microphone, or my guitar with a nice pickyp system that I know works well because I could record with it in GarageBand (albeit with a very low volume). So, I have also tried using the "template" for the "Songwriter" that is available upon opening LE 8 and I STILL cannot get any input or output from that either.
I am lost, frustrated and embarrassed. I can read, but the manuals are over 1000 pages alone! I wish that they had a beginning tutorial that would guide us through this initial hurdle.
    Anyse

    Hi,
ehhh.... what exactly do you mean by input and output??? Do you mean audio or midi or both??
    Just a couple of hints:
go to Applications > Utilities, and start Audio/Midi Configuration. In this program you can find volume controls for all audio devices, like the built-in mic, and the external mic input and speaker output. If you record something in Logic you should see the VU-meter of the record-enabled audio channel go up and down. By the way, you should select an input source by click-holding the button beneath the label "I/O" in the channel strip of that channel. Otherwise, Logic doesn't know in what connector you put your guitar cable....
Also, you have to arm the track by clicking the "R" button in your track, so that it becomes red.
See page 367 / 368 of the manual (Help > Logic Express 8 User Manual).
    Hope this helps!
    Kind regards,
    Jaap

  • MS-8348 reads but not writes

I bought an MS-8348 (I'm assuming A, even though I'm not told.  It looks similar to the picture on the firmware page for the A version)
The problem I'm having is that I can read all I want, but I can't write to a CD.
I haven't a clue what firmware I've got, so I went to upgrade.  I tried to upgrade the firmware but it can't find my CD drive.
Yes, I was still in windows.  I've got windows 2000.  I don't know how to make a boot disk with win2k and I don't know how to boot to dos only with win2k.
Win2k does recognize what drive I have and lists it as a MS-8348 CD-RW but I can't burn with any software.
Also, I don't have any original software.  I only have the drive, nothing else.
My system is an athlon 2700XP, 512 ram...
I saw somewhere that someone said to install all motherboard drivers.  I did that already.  This is my first day trying to use the drive.

    I'm still having problems...
I made a boot disk on my WinXP machine and booted to DOS on my Win2k box.   The Win2k box is the one with the CD Burner.
I tried to upgrade the firmware to 150D, but it's already got that...
    Still no burning ability.
Again, Windows 2000 recognizes that I have the CD RW, in fact it's the one that calls it a CD RW, model MS-8348.  So it knows it's a burner, but I can't burn.  Every burning application I've tried says that I have a CD-ROM to read from, but not a CD Writer to write to...

Either go directly to Intel and run their driver finder or use this thread.

Same for the NVIDIA driver, Notebook Review is up to date or you cab go directly to NVIDIA.

If you have an upgrade disc, then you can do a clean install as long as there is a Windows OS on the drive.
I have also done a clean install form an upgrade disc to on a new drive and it still works.
Glad the MoBo's doing well !    What kills them is if you do allot of gaming, the MoBo can't take the heat. The cooling system just isn't up to the task.

  • LSMW - Read Data not showing in Converted Data

    Hi,
I am using LSMW to load data from a flat file (via recording).  I have it working except I have one issue.  When I display the data in read data all fields are showing.  No errors popup when I select convert data.  When I select display converted data the last few fields are missing.  Any ideas why or how to fix this?
Any help is appreciated as I do not know how to proceed.

    HI Bush,
Currently I am also facing the same problem. In "display read data" it is showing all the field values. No error msg in "convert data". But only 2 fields are displaying in "display converted data". not showing any values in rest of the fields. Kindly suggest me how you fixed this problem

  • Korean Language Support Package required for Reader but not Acrobat?

One of our departments on campus has created a form that is causing some users to get a message prompting them to download the Korean Language Support Package in order to fill in the form fields.
When I originally tested this in Acrobat Pro 9 I didn't get any errors.  Another user also reported the issue recently (two this week).  So we tested it again, but this time used both Reader 9 and Reader X -- both programs were generating this message to download the language pack.  The form appears to be completely in English with no Korean characters.  It uses fairly standard fonts and I didn't see any embedding or encoding issues with the fonts.
Aside from having end users download a Korean Language Support Pack to view a PDF that doesn't seem to contain any Korean, are there any other options out there without recreating the form from scratch?  Here is a list of the fonts used in the PDF.  The only types of encoding are Ansi and Identity-H (which I expanded in the SS above), with the latter fonts being embedded within the PDF.
Any ideas?  The form is linked below.  Thanks in advance for your replies.
Here is a link to the PDF

    SOLVED
While our problems differ, my solution may still be relevant.
My culprit was a rogue font in an embedded Visio drawing. I identified and located the font using the "List text using non-embedded fonts" Preflight analysis in Acrobat 9.4 Pro. I checked the encoding of each non-embedded font and discovered that Arial Unicode MS used Korean font encoding (specifically, KSCms-UHC-H). See screenshot below. Doubleclicking on one of the font properties highlighted the offending text in the pdf.
I went to that location in the source file, which happened to be in the first embedded Visio drawing (shown above). I double clicked the drawing, selected all, and selected Arial font. Then I regenerated the pdf and viewed it in Reader X. The Korean language pack error message did not appear and all Visio drawings displayed normally.
I would recommend using the Acrobat preflight tools to locate text or objects with incorrect font encoding within your PDF or form, then surgically striking (or carpet bombing) the affected location(s) in the source files with embedded/supported fonts.
    Hope this helps.

eMac optical drive: reads fine but has ceased writing.  One day it's working fine, burning DVDs, then after repeated attempts stops copying and gives the following error message:  "Sense key=MEDIUM ERROR, Sense Code=0x0C, WRITE ERROR".  Drive is Pioneer DVD-RW DVR-127D.  Is this a software issue or is the drive half dead?  Get the same result with either Popcorn or Toast 10.
