1.can i connect recording which is there in SHDB tcode
to LSMW[if yes plz tell me how]
2.in new creation of LSMW can i copy the required steps alone from old LSMW
3.i have one error in MY LSMW 1st step recording
remaining steps r correct.how to correct that error in recording

I created some complex Recording in LSMW , now i need to use this recording in SHDB (to make an ABAP program for use BDC) ; but this LSMW recording does not appears in SHDB.
Does somebody knows how can i copy to SHDB some recording created in LSMW ?

Hi Frank,
The only solution I see is to download LSMW project, only the recording, open it and work out the file in Excel to format the columns as to the upload file format in SHDB.

Can I import a recording from SHDB into a project in LSMW?

I'm working with LSMW, and i would like to know if it's possible to import o reuse a recording that already exists in transaction SHDB?
I tried but it seems that i should create a new recording again in the lsmw althought there exits one that was created by the shdb.

No, it is not possible to import the recording you have done using SHDB transaction to LSMW as LSMW has its own recording facility, and we need to make use of the one available in LSMW.

How to delete record from table control in BDC?

I am running a BDC program to delete records.
I have file with following records and i got these records into t_itab.
Material     Plant     Start date     End date     Cost
MQ100001     S001     09/01/2008     09/31/2008     55.00
MQ100004     S002     09/01/2008     09/31/2008     56.00
MQ100008     S003     09/01/2008     09/31/2008     57.00
Now, I have BDC transaction in which table control screen which contains following structure.
MQ100001     S001     09/01/2008     09/31/2008     55.00
MQ100002     S002     09/01/2008     09/31/2008     56.00
MQ100004     S003     09/01/2008     09/31/2008     47.00
MQ100005     S004     09/01/2008     09/31/2008     25.00
MQ100006     S012     09/01/2008     09/31/2008     76.00
MQ100007     S033     09/01/2008     09/31/2008     17.00
MQ100008     S011     09/01/2008     09/31/2008     95.00
MQ100009     S002     09/01/2008     09/31/2008     46.00
I have recorded from SHDB in which first record will be delete.
So, when i loop through t_itab,instead of deleting MQ100001,MQ100004 and MQ100008 from BDC screen,
it is deleting MQ100001,MQ100002 and MQ100004 (first record for each process ).
Which i don't want to.
Is there any facility in BDC to put records on top which i want to delete?
Please guide me.

Hi,
While doing recording check for Filter button available for the table control, if it available then do the recording for the same.
Once it is done while passing the data from internal table put the value into Filter field.

One option is to identify the table and find out the location as the number of row which should be deleted from the table and then in the bdc program instead of postioning the cursor on the row 1(using the statement perform bdc_cursor ....(01)), replace the 01 with the row number.
Second option is that if a filter control is available for the table control, then filter the data each and every time with the material number to be deleted and then delete the first row.

Can we transport the LSMW recording from one client to other client. If it can, how it be.

Yes.you can.Just go to LSMW --in the menu path go to --Extras ---Export Projects - select the project u want to export - and save to your PC.It will get saved into a note pad format.
Then go to the client where u want to import ---go to LSMW --in the menu path go to --Extras ---Import Projects-browse and select the file u have already saved.

This is because of the change in screen.
When you are doing recording for BDC only minimum necessary fields appear on the screen or you can say a different screen appears from the transaction screen.
This also helps in avoiding complexities in BDC during background mode.

LSMW Recording method is not working for transaction code FBL5N

Hi Experts,
I am trying to prepare LSMW to create dispute cases for customer line items through LSMW Recording method. When i was trying to do through SHDB Recording its working properly through Program. But its not working through LSMW Recording method means its not executing to next screen, immediately its displaying session completed screen.
Please do let me know any soution for this.

Hi Sriram,
If my memory serves me correctly, a BDC will not work correctly with a list. This is mentioned somewhere in the SAP help pages.
Now I am not familiar on how to create dispute cases but using FBL5N does not sound to me the way to go. I assume that you use FBL5N in order to determine to which documents to link the dispute to, however you should be able to get the requested info from the BSID/BSAD tables.
Also in case you want to change the customer line item in the accounting document, check the data transfer workbench (SXDA) as SAP delivers a standard program for this.

Issue with Recording Process (SHDB)

Hi Experts,
I was trying to create an LSMW object for Customer Master(XD01), So Intiallly I started recording the process of input through
SHDBRecoding process. The problem is that I cannot view some of the fields for input example in Address Details I have a field called as C/O and STREET2, which are not getting displayed while recording.
While creating the Customers normally without recording process, I have made these two fields mandatory for input. So, the fields are getting diplayed when I manually create the customers.
But, when I start the recording process, I cannot view both fields (C/O and STREET2) for input. Are there any settings to be done in recording process(SHDB) to make the fields visible and mandatory for input.
Your inputs would be certainly appreciated.

I beleive I was seeking help for Customer Master, But anyways if we consider the reply given by you for vendor master.
If I used the Function module 'ISIDE_SM_VENDOR_DETAILS_UPDATE', How Can I create an SHDB Recoding, in order to use it in LSMW, by Direct input or Recording method.
As I believe this is an Remote Enabled Function Module, should I create a raffer and use it as a BAPI.
As I need to upload " CUSTOMER MASTER UPLOAD" through LSMW.

LSMW Recording for multiple line items

Hello Gurus,
I just wanted to know if task list has more than one operation can be loaded thru LSMW recording ? If yes,
COuld anyone tell me the process of recording step by step as I am new to recording and not sure what is the flow.
I have created spreadsheet with some data to test and went into LSMW and assign the mode as recording and also had given the values in the respective tcode and save it..after that do I need to perform all the 14 steps ?

LSMW while creating first 6 steps need to be once. Later on same LSMW can be used directly from step 7.
The below explain is for some other tcode. but steps will remain same in LSMW for your tcode.

How to handle the pop-up Screen in LSMW - Recording

I am doing the LSMW-Recording for Pricing Conditions.there are so many condition types are there.
my problem is while uploading the data from flat file,if record alredy exists in SAP system, it will display one Pop up screen, says "the record already exists do you want to overlap it".so that time it has to hit enter and has to overlap the existing records.
can any one please help me..this is very urget to me.

LSMW recording for different numbers of materials

Dear all,
In the LSMW recording-trcode at VBO1- I enter material codes. But the number of material codes are changeble. For instance for a customer I can enter 5 material codes; for another customer I can enter 12 material codes. For this reason,
I created recording template for 15 materials.
When I run the LSMW it gives errror. because I entered 3 material for a spesific customer. It wants other 12 material codes.
As result;
How can I create a template for various numbers of materials?
For example
customer1 I want to run LSMW for 3 materials
customer2 I want to run LSMW for 5 materials.

I am not exactly sure of the problem, but you have 15 material columns refering to the line items possible in ALL sales orders/contracts. Ensure that you have a ZERO in the colomns not being posted to. The zero in Excel has to set to text I think, but check the SDN for further on that matter. When you save as a text file, or CSV file, open it with wordpad. You should see the 0 there, if not search SDN.
Something else you can do is the have the field names that become you source field in the LSMW. See Maintain source fields in the LSMW. Use the field names that you have given there as the excel file's header line. i.e. line 'A'. When you select your file to be loaded under 'specify fields', tick the box : - Field names at start of file.
It will then only take the amounts that are there and not put the amount in the next place. I am not sure with recording in SD, but record the item numbers from a static 10,20,30,40,50 .....ETC TO 150. Then have source fields for all 15 line items.
You could have another material created as a non-valuated material and so it won't post anywhere. Add this material where necessary.

I think u r talking about BDC recording.
1. Record the transaction using SHDB in client 120.
2. After recording u will get a Transaction Recorder page.
3. In this page, click EXPORT button inn the application bar.
4. Save it in the local file in ur desktop.
5. Go to client 200, SHDB - New recording.
6. Just give some transaction say SE38 and start recording.
7. Come back. u will a Transaction recorder page.
8. In this page, click IMPORT button and select the local file stored from client 120.
9. Then u will same recording of client 120 in client 200.

LSMW - Recording Method

I am trying to do LSMW recording method for T code MB1C Movement type 561inicial stock entery. with serial numbers.
so i have one material with 70 qty with different serial numbers. how can i prepare the EXCEL sheet for the data. i creted with one serial number only i am not abule to create with 70 diferent serial number can u pls explain me the how to create excel sheet for the LSMW recording method for material entery MB1C 561 mov type.

LSMW is a house,
BAPI just a room in this house.
Means that these are not 2 independed ways, LSMW is a workbench that gives you the option to choose from batch
/direct input method, BAPI and IDOC as well as recording.
There is no big difference for the LSMW steps.
Recording is just meant to be the last option, in case that SAP has not given method.
Beside of the BAPI, for goods movement you have IDOC and batch input method given.
There is really no need for a recording.And you do not need to do any more ABAP for BAPI than you have to do for recordings.
A recording is a static method.
For any little variation you wouild need to do an extra recording.
the SAP given methods are flexible.

IBAN Activation & Recording through SHDB-IBAN field is disabled

A)I have activated IBAN field in IT0009.IT0009 - table T77S0, ADMIN IBAN 'S'.
Is this correct?
B)When we enter manually we are able to to Enter IBAN 34 digit code(Here we are taken to a new screen, we are using ECC.5)
we want to create NEW BDC for Infotype 0009.
C)when we tried to create Recording through SHDB the "IBAN field is Disabled
How to record. whether any ABAP Coding is required/ how we can record.
when i check in table PA0009 IBAN field is not there . but IBAN details are there in TIBAN .Please help.

I have activated IBAN field in IT0009.IT0009 - table T77S0, ADMIN IBAN 'S'. This is correct
I can suggest you to control from se11 whether PA0009 has IBAN field. Also you can check from se80 tha program MP000900 to see whether Iban field is valid. For example from T588M you may change the screen number to see IBAN field.
also there are some oss notes about this. For example in turkey IBAN is not generated according to one common rule. Every bank has special rule for generating IBAN and this sometimes can cause problems and customer than create a field with the help of customer include. And for this some Abap knowledge is required.
