LSMW - Recording Method

I am trying to do LSMW recording method for T code MB1C Movement type 561inicial stock entery. with serial numbers.
so i have one material with 70 qty with different serial numbers. how can i prepare the EXCEL sheet for the data. i creted with one serial number only i am not abule to create with 70 diferent serial number can u pls explain me the how to create excel sheet for the LSMW recording method for material entery MB1C 561 mov type.

LSMW is a house,
BAPI just a room in this house.
Means that these are not 2 independed ways, LSMW is a workbench that gives you the option to choose from batch
/direct input method, BAPI and IDOC as well as recording.
There is no big difference for the LSMW steps.
Recording is just meant to be the last option, in case that SAP has not given method.
Beside of the BAPI, for goods movement you have IDOC and batch input method given.
There is really no need for a recording.And you do not need to do any more ABAP for BAPI than you have to do for recordings.
A recording is a static method.
For any little variation you wouild need to do an extra recording.
the SAP given methods are flexible.

I am trying to prepare LSMW to create dispute cases for customer line items through LSMW Recording method. When i was trying to do through SHDB Recording its working properly through Program. But its not working through LSMW Recording method means its not executing to next screen, immediately its displaying session completed screen.

Hi Sriram,
If my memory serves me correctly, a BDC will not work correctly with a list. This is mentioned somewhere in the SAP help pages.
Now I am not familiar on how to create dispute cases but using FBL5N does not sound to me the way to go. I assume that you use FBL5N in order to determine to which documents to link the dispute to, however you should be able to get the requested info from the BSID/BSAD tables.
Also in case you want to change the customer line item in the accounting document, check the data transfer workbench (SXDA) as SAP delivers a standard program for this.

To be honest I don't understand your question. When You execute LSMW and create project, then all steps are shown in a very clear way with good description. With which one you have problems?

Error Useing with LSMW recording Maintenace Plan Schesule period update

I have one quary i am using Lsmw recording methode to update schedule period of around 4000 ,aintenamce plans, i created Lsmw but it is reading when i want batch input session Overview time i get following message. please help me

Wrong views Selected when using LSMW + Recording

Hi,
I use LSMW + Recording method to extend warehouse management view, and it works fine in the DEV system, but when the LSME projrct was imported into QA system, the system selected wrong views at the begining when running this LSMW object, the WM 1 and WM 2 view should be selected, but in QA system, instead, only Accounting view is selected, what's the reason? Kindly please advise.

The reason is the dynamic on the view selection.
Depending on the already maintained other views (like sales and purchasing and storage location) the position of WM 1+2 changes.
Instead of recording MM01 you should record MMZ1 as this has a static place for WM views.
But even better is to use report RLMG0020.

I am trying to update Purchase Info records using LSMW Standard program RM06IBI0.
But it is not updating the condition price details and scale Quantity.
For that the form suggessted LSMW IDOC method. with : Message Type         COND_A / COND_A02.
But i dont know is the info record created earlier to this step or else we can create both using this method
at a time ? Does anybody please suggest.
( Actually Purchase Info record created using transaction ME11 ).

you first create the info record and subsequently you load the conditions.
become familiar with the condition tables and its key first. Check How table A017 and A018 are maintained.
Intresting is the field VAKEY which is actually the link to your info record.
This is a combination of vendor, material, purchasing org, plant , and info record indicator.

LSMW for material master using Batch input recording method

Dears,
I am using Batch input recording method to upload material master data. But while selecting views , I need to scroll to select the vies lets say Plant storage loc view. While scrolling and selecting ,views are not recorded propelry . That is when I run in foreground system selects only basic data and purchasing views but the plant data views are not selected(palnt data views are selected by scrolling while recording).
How to resolve this issue.

Don,t scroll use Page down button from key Bord
like select Basis view and then press page down button from key board ,then you will get next view now select it

This is the special function in LSMW, for empty field system will put / sign automatically, so you need not to worry about that.
FB007 Session 1 session name ZPROJ was opened It is opening session ZPROJ which is your project name/object name.
FB109 Trans. 1 : Transaction xd01 is not supported
Check out your field mapping and conversion rule for object.
FB013 ....Editing was terminated
It is not finding proper field mapping rule / file inputs so the sytem terminates the LSMW object.
Check your field mapping and conversion rule, check your source fields, save the file in tab delimited format.

Unable to create PO with multiple line items through LSMW-BAPI method

Hi All,
I have a requirement of creating PO through LSMW. I can't use LSMW standard batch input program since there are some fileds not available and also it has many limitations. I'm using LSMW-BAPI method ( Business object BUS2012) which create IDOC and uses BAPI_PO_CREATE1 to ultimately post the PO in the system. I am trying to create PO from a single file which contains both Header and Item data.
Now my problem is that everytime PO is being created with Single line item only. Everytime I am giving multiple item data in the source file LSMW is preparing multiple IDOCs for multiple line items. As per my understanding this is happenng since header and item is in the same hierarchy level of IDOC type PORDCR102 and the control record is inserted for every line item in the source file.
It seems that through LSMW-BAPI it is not possible to create PO with multiple line items. Can anybody provide some input regarding this? Thanks in advance.

Solved by myself.
Earlier the problem was that LSMW was not being able to recognize items under same header. It was creating new IDOCs every time it gets a new item. To enable this we need to create two structure HEADERDATA and ITEMDATA. Two additional identifier fields with identifier value 'H' and 'I' should be added in these two structures respectively. Then we need one sequential file with the identifiers field followed by the header and Item data. Example:
H~header data
I~item data
I~item data
This would help the standard program to understand what are the items under same header and ultimately create PO with multiple line items.

QM_LSMW BY RECORDING METHOD FOR QP01

Dear QM Experts,
1.     I am doing LSMW by recording method for QP01 transaction code
2.     I am facing one problem while recording in inspection characteristic screen
3.     While saving another screen opens prompting to put inspection method, plant and version for inspection method.
4.     This is not at all needed as per the requirement.
I removed default Plant for Inspection Method version, Version Number of the Inspection Method while recording LSMW in inspection characteristic screen. Still it is happening.
Surprisingly when we create inspection plan though QP01 it never asks for these things.
Any remedies?

Do not use Recording for QP01.
There is a pragram named "RCPTRA01". It can be selected in step1 of lsmw>>Object Type and Import Method>> Standard Batch/Direct Imput>>Object 0240;Method 0000;Program RCPTRA01; Program Type B.
Then Step 2, define source structure. In fact you may go to step 4 to have a look at the structure of the target structure. It would be easy to copy that. The source structure would be as below, ZBI001 would be the top level and the others the same lever under ZBI001:
Source Structures
        ZBI001                    Transaction Header Record for Data Transfer of Routings
            ZBIMPL                   Batch Input Structure for Allocation of Mat. to Task Lists
            ZBIPKO                   Batch Input Structure for Task List Header
            ZBIPPO                   Batch input structure for task list operation
            ZBIPMK                   Inspection characteristics for batch input of task lists
In step 3, define source fields for source structure. For easy define, you may click "Object Overview">> Table to get the possible fields of the related structure, and then copy to Excel; after that, you may copy the fields directly from Excel to fields difining window in step 3.
Step 4, assign the source structures to target structures, the target structures are named the same as the source structures above, just without the letter "Z". For example, assign ZBIMPL to BIMPL, ZBIPKO to BIPKO, except ZBI001 is assigned to BI000 and BI001 as well.
Then Step 5, you may find there are RECTY and default settings are "00" "99" "01" "03" "09" "18" for BI000, BI001, BIMPL, BIPKO, BIPPO and BIPMK. Let alone "99" and imput these value to field "RECTY" in corresponding source structure fields
Then you may run auto field mapping in step 5, and make some values constant, like PLNTY=Q etc.
Then a problem with the profile under field "PROFIDNET". Run TCODE 'SPRO' to IMG>Quality Management>Quality Planning>Inspection Planning>General>Maintain Profiles for Default Values>Profile: default values plan/general. You may find there is a box named "Entry tool", tick that box, if not it is not possible to run QP01 in lsmw. And at the same time you may find the profile is 0000001. Key the value to field "PROFIDNET" and make the rule as constant.
For step 6 there is nothing to do
in Step 7, unlike other objects, you can use just one .txt file for uploading the inspection plan. When specy file, select "Data for Multiple Source Structures(Seq.file); Delimiter: Tabulator; File structure: Field order Matches source structure definition(as in Seq.file) I find not possible to put field names at start of file, so "Field Order Matching" is very important
Then how to prepare the file? We can accomplish this with 5 excel sheets
the fields orders for my customer is like this:

Creat a new blank sheet and copy the fild contents of these 5 sheets into it, then you can sort the fields in A to Z order with Column A(MATNR), B(RECTY), and C(MERKNR), then the seq.file to be uploaded is completed.

Then copy start from Column B, i.e., without the material numbers in Column A, to .txt file.
Specy the file in Step 7 in lsmw.
the step 8, assign this .txt file to all structures
then step 9, 10, 11, 12, 13 Creast Session and run it in at the end.
Actually this program is not possible for QP02. If you want to make some correction on the inspection plans in SAP, you'd better delete them and upload the revised one.
This program is very similar to CA01 Production Routing and thus also applicable to CA01. But I recommend using Object 0170;Method 0002;Program RCPTRA02; Program Type D for CA01, because it provides testing transfer at the end so that you can check out logical errors, and much fastee. Pity that for QP01 there is no such program

I am facing the following problem with the LSMW-BAPI method...
I got around 20,000 record to be posted....and my LSMW-BAPI method is taking 4 hours to load them..so how can i reduce my time...??? is there any change of loading multiple same structure file...??? or can we run our LSMW background...
