LSMW related

While generating IDOC during LSMW; info popup says -- No partner exists with the name ", type" .
Although, I have defined partner in T.Code 'we20'. Till the step- 'Display Converted Data' - everything was working fine and giving the output. I'm confused as to  what went wrong.
     Can anybody guide me.

Hi,
What you need to do is to execute TCode LSMW and specify the name of the LSMW project, subproject, object and  then goto Menu->Settings you will find IDOC Inbound Processing or press CtrlShiftF1. There you need to specify the partner type partner no for your project.
Hope this solves your problem.

  • Maintain Structure Relations - LSMW - IDOC method

    Hi,
Trying to use LSMW Idoc method to upload BP masters.
Have maintained the ports, partner types, message types etc. When I reach the "Maintain structure relationship" step, I have a very big tree structure under EDI_DC40 when am trying to maintain the structure relationship between the source and the target in LSMW idoc method.
Do I need to maintain my relationship at all the levels of the tree structure under EDI_DC40 or can I choose the nodes that are relevant and maintain a relationship only for them?
Is there a short cut or a way where I can maintain relationship for each node under the target strucute EDI_DC40.
    Appreciate your inputs.
    SK

    Hi SK,
There is no need to maintain EDI_DC40.
In 'Maintain Structure Relations' step, you just need to create Relationship for the structure you want the information be uploaded in the BP. Mapping of the fields in the structure to your upload file's values will be done in next step. Hope the above helps

  • 1:N relation between MARA and MARM using SAVEDATA with LSMW

    Hi,
I wanna use LSMW for a data migration. Therefore I'm using the BAPI 'SAVEDATA' to transfer material data.
So far I can transfer one material entity with just one unit of measure (UOM) for table MARM.
However, I do have more than one UOM for a material entity. When I look in 'maintain structure relations', there the IDOC segement 'E1BP_MARM' is in the same hierarchy with the head data although N UOM's are requiered for one material entity. How can this work with the BAPI 'BAPI_MATERIAL_SAVEDATA' if I wanna use more than one UOM's?

    Hi,
You can define multiple source structure in step no 2 of LSMW.In upper level structure provide header data fields and in lower level structure you can provide fields related to your UOM.
While defining fields for both source structure provide an identifier for the starting field of both structure.
Now in step no 3 assign header structure to header data segment and lower level structure to segment containing UOM.
In step number 7 select radio button which says for multiple source structure and in next step assign the file to both structure.
In this way you can upload N UOM for a particular material.
    Hope this solves your problem.

  • LSMW - Maintaining structure relations

I am trying to upload customer records using LSMW. There are two source structures (one for customer header and the other for customer-contactingperson which is item level). I completed first three steps. I am stuck at 'Maintain structure relations' step. How do we assign the structures here?
There are lot of things like BKNA1, BKNB1, BKNBK..so on but I am kind of clueless to which source structures I have to assign these target structures. Can you please help with this or are there any general rules here to go through this step with out any errors?
    Thank you very much.

In my header structure, I have following fields:
Customer Number     Name     Street     City     Zipcode     Country     Language     TelephoneNumber
In my contact structure (which is item level), I have the following fields:
CustomerNumber     LastName     FirstName     FormofAddress     Department     Position     TelephoneNumberContact
From 'Migrating your SAP data' (book from SAP press), I see that they
    - assigned source header structure to BGR00, BKN00, BKNA1 and BKNB1.
    - assigned souce contact structure to BKNVK.
It is clear to me that we have to assign the header data to all required structures (which came up as BGR00, BKN00 and BKNA1 in my example). But how do I know that I also have to assign it to BKNB1?
If you can help with this question, my problem is solved.
    Thanks a lot!

  • LSMW , how the same is related to data migration,.

    HI Experts,
please explain the concept of data migration.
What is LSMW/ how the same is related to migration,
what are the other types of data migrationo other than IDOC & BDOC in sap crm.
IS there any there other tools that helps in data migration,
if so , what are they.
Can a functional guy be able to do the data migration in LSMW.
    thanks & regards
    Prajith P

    Hi Prajith,
I second Venkat, but also you need to know about Data Transfer Workbench in CRM.
Go into the IMG and follow the path: Customer Relationship Management>> CRM
Middleware and Related Components>> Exchanging Data With External
Components>> XIF Adapter Setup>> Inbound Direction>> Settings for the Data
Transfer Workbench and LSMW>> SAP Data Transfer Workbench.
Here's the help from SAP for the Data Transfer Workbench:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/EN/0d/e211c5543e11d1895d0000e829fbbd/frameset.htm
That should take you where you need to go. Good luck!

  • Query related to LSMW

I am using lsmw for recording transaction pa30 .In LSMW when I click on MAINTAN FIELD MAPPING & CONVERSION RULE (step 5)
the screen shows  fields ,under that tabname   and tcode .
nowhere i can  find the actual field names which i had recorded using batch i/p recording using step1.
actual field name is required for mapping  corresponding field with source fields.
    how should i proceed ???

    Hi,
Place the Cursor on the field and then press the MAP button then the Recorded structure will open then select the desired field to map and [place the cursor on that field and select ok, then the fields will be mapped with MOVE statment.
if the Source fields and the Recoring structure fields names are same then you can directly MAP in a Single shot, you will have a Icon there to MAP in single shot, press that one

  • LSMW field relations and mappings

    Hi,
In LSMW, I need to define multiple relationship to same structure, is that possible ,pls suggest.
The mappings needs to be done in IDOC type PORDCR101, from one field in header structure and another from line-item structure comes from flat file and maps to the same segment E1BPPAREX of the IDOC type PORDCR101,.
    Pls suggest.
    Thanks in advance
    Regards
    Anand

Sorry, only one source structure per target structure.
Study the generated conversion program, there is a clumsy workaround by manipulating the internal tables that the LSMW uses.

  • Logical filename and logical path in lsmw

    Hi all,
I am doing a lsmw for purchasing info record . i created a logicalpath and assigned a physical path to that . i created a logical filename and assigned the logical path .but when i assign that to the lsmw it is throwing error as 'LOGICAL PATH DOES NOT POINT TO PHYSICAL DIRECTORY' .
can anybody provide a solution for that .

  • LSMW: Error concerning the logical path in Specify Files step

    Hi,
I am trying on an ECC 6.0 EHP6 system to upload (open) POs from an existing SAP ERP system. Since I faced some complications in batch input recording method, I decided to go with the standard batch/direct input method.
I selected object 0085 (Purchase Order) and method 0001 (Purchase Order). The program that is used is RM06EEI0. I followed all the usual steps, but in the "Specify Files" step I get the message:
'****.lsmw.conv' does not exist; edit the logical path using transaction FILE
Being aware of both the FILE and SF01 transactions, I created the logical path and file (through the FILE transaction). However, after the modification, I get the message:
Logical file '****' is not assigned to physical file '****.lsmw.conv'
There is also the related SAP Note 753511 (Logical and physical path and file name in transaction LSMW) that refers to this case.

    Hi,
Click on specify file radio button>Legacy data-on the PC Front end
where input file location like C:\mydocument\desktop\test.txt
and give input in Name field: mydocument
in delimiter section > select Tabular
File structure section> tick on Field order matches source structure definition
File type: Record end marker(Text file)
then press enter key and other steps as same.
Second thing you said that you have used Batch input recording
after creation and recording finish , scroll the page below on recording and put a cursor unwanted field and remove unwanted input field.
I hope your problem will resolve. you can find the steps pdf on Google search try now.

  • If Condition in LSMW initially

    Hi,
I have to start the LSMW with if condition like
    If 'recordtype'  = '1'.
LSMW should work only for this conditon. Eventhough that field is not coming in recroding but that is in the upload file.
    Please help in this...

This is not the appropriate forum. You need to post this in the data migration forum. There you can get some help on the related subject that is LSMW, what i can do is i can give you a hint, it can be done in the data upload program automatically written besides the LSMW uploads so if you can use that code to derive a program for uploads and in that you can insert an if condition and execute that program, it would be as per your requirements.

  • LSMW-Uploading G/l master Data

    Hello,
we are migrating Data from R/3 4.6 to ECC 6.0.We need all the G/l from 4.6  exactly same way in ECC 6.0 without new G/l features.
Please let me which table I should use to extract  g/l master  data (SKA1or SKB1) from 4.6.I am going to do recording with  Tcode FS00 at the time of uploading.
If any one is having document on G/l uploading please share with me.share the useful points relating to this.
    Many Many Thanks
    Moderator: Please, search SDN

    Hi,
You will neet to extract data from both SKA1 and SKB1 and need to compile (via lookup etc.) to make a single file for uploding in LSMW.

  • Creating Schedule lines in Scheduling agreement using LSMW

    Hi,
I want to upload multiple schedule lines in scheduling agreement using LSMW. I have done the recording and maintained multiple lines in input file. However during execution LSMW creates only one line and keeps on ovewritting the same line. Please let me know how can I create multiple schedule lines.
    Regards

First you should search for existing standard LSMW migration objects that possibly cover your scenario. These normally take care of complex header / multiple items / multiple subitems relations.
With a recording you can only load flat structures. Sometimes a "create new  lines" / "enter first line" / "save transaction" logic can be constructed to load multiple items to a header (or even subitems to an item?) with a recording, but this can be pretty awkward.

  • LSMW me51n, how to create one PR document for all the records in the  file

    HI all,
I need to create LSMW for t-code me51n -Create Purchase Requisition. I`m using Bapi BUS2105, method CREATEFROMDATA, idoc message type PREQCR, basic type PREQCR03. The problem is that the LSMW is creating different idoc and different PR document for every record in the source file. My requirement is to create one PR document for one source file (Every source file is different Purchase Requisition) . I`m trying to do this with writing some code(global functions ) in the 'Mapping and conversion rules'  events - BEGINOF_TRANSACTION_, ENDOF_TRANSACTION__..., but i`m not very sure what exactly i`m doing .
Please help me resolve this problem, any help will be appreciated .
    Best regards, Emil Milchev.

    Thank you for you answer.
But I have found faster way of doing it - two source structures, one HEADER and ONE ITEM.
HEADER: one empty text field and identificator for it.
    ITEM: everything else.
Then everything was just fine, i`ve mapped the different IDOC segments by PREQ_ITEM fields (equal values in the source file : 10-10-10..., 20-20-20,.... etc.) and put all required fields for my LSMW
