LSMW with SE16 Recording
Hello,
I have a bespoke file that I am trying to load in LSMW.
I have created a recording of SE16 where I entered a record.
When I process this in the foreground it works fine.
When I process this in the background it fails saying "Table maintenance not allowed for table".
The table is setup to have maintenance allowed otherwise the foreground processing wouldn't work.
Any ideas appreciated, I've got 40,000 records to load !
Try doing your recording over SM30. Do you table maintenance there rather than SE16.

Hello. I had to create a lsmw for importin invoices with RFBIBL00. The problem is that when i run the lsmw there is an eror in sm35 that it says: COBL-GSBER there is no entry in the field for program SAPLKACB screen 0002. In there it should probably just be the BDC_OKCODE. How can i put the ok code so that the error doesnt apear anymore?
Thank you,
Cristian.Hi Cristian,
guess just check with ur mapping step either the value which ur facing might be not mapped correctly. and also check the step display convert data ,
the values of flat file r populating correctly r not , that u come to know in the display convert data.
if every thing is ok , just have a check with few records and run it in Foreground.
sorry Cristian no idea,
i had face the same problem, in my case lsmw is running successfuly in foreground and error mode coming to background it showing error when i check the log the screen which i struck , its not related to that recording.

How to delete table entries with SE16 in debugging mode?
We are trying to delete some table entries which cause our InfoPackage short dumps in BW system. The problem is that we can only see the Display menu item with SE16 and the Delete menu item is dimmed that we are unable to conduct the deletion. SAP Support suggest to use debug with SE16 to do the deletion, but we can't figure out how!
Anyone's idea is greatly appreciated! Then you are not at the right place. Lets start at the begining.
Go to SE16.
Enter table name.
Hit F7.
Enter selection criteria.
hit F8.
Double click the specific record that you want to delete.
In the transaction code field at the top, enter "/H" and hit enter. Debug is switch on.
Now hit enter again.
You should now be in debug and you should see this code..
form set_status_val tables ntab structure x031l
using code name next for_lines.
field-symbols: <field>.
refresh exclude_tab.
if code = 'SHOW'.
set titlebar 'TAB' with name 'anzeigen'(100).
elseif code = 'EDIT'.
set titlebar 'TAB' with name 'ändern'(101).
elseif code = 'INSR'.
set titlebar 'TAB' with name 'einfügen'(102).
elseif code = 'ANVO'.
set titlebar 'TAB' with name 'einfügen'(102).
elseif code = 'DELE'.
set titlebar 'TAB' with name 'löschen'(103).
Notice that there is a field called CODE in the IF statement.
Now enter the word "CODE" in the field names list, change the value to DELE and click the pencil. Hit F8. Now you can delete the entry.

LSMW with multiple transaction n multiple files
Hi experts,
is it possible to do data transfer using LSMW(recording) with multiple transaction and multiple files .
Like 3 transaction and 3 files.
I want 1st transaction and 1st file to upload first then
2nd transaction and 2nd file
3rd transaction and 3rd fileHi,
i think you mean that you want to process first the 1st record of file1 with transaction 1 than 1st record of file 2 with transaction 2
This is possible using recordings(as you asked for).
First Maintain Object Attributes then mark batch input recordings and maintain recordings name.
On the right side are two buttons one for overviewing recordings and one for maintaining more recordings.
Here enter your additional recordings.
Now specify for each recording a own Source Structure and
maintain the Structure Relations and so on...
If you just want to do 1st transaction with all records of file1 than 2nd transaction use three different LSMWs.
You can automize the process by using Data Transfer Workbench(SXDA).

PO release strategy LSMW with SM30_VV_T16FS_2
Dear Friends ,
Problem in Release strategy upload for PO release strategy.
We are making LSMW with SM30 for - VV_T16FS_2
Problem is that when we do recording actulat release codes come in , release prerequisites also come but as you know in that case we not prese ENTER , we need to click on Release prerequisite then only Release status comes.
There is some problem with OKCODE. Means as per my understanding system not takes full release startegy smoothly.

MAheshHi ,
It is with help of ABAPEr , i dont know exactly but while designed LSMW some lines was ger dublicated and we removed it. thats it. -
LSMW, batch input recording, structured file
Hello,
I'm new with LSMW.
Is it right that with LSMW when used in batch input recording, it is impossible to use a structured file, with a header and with many item for exemple ?
( i try to do that with a financial transaction like F-02 )
Thanks in advance for any help.
(we are in WAS 6.20, LSMW 4.0 )

can any one help me how to handle lsmw with two structures header & item data structures
how can i map the target structures to source structures
for example target recording structure have ematn_01
ematn_02
how to map these 01 and 02 to source structures
i have to take two source fields as ematn_01 & ematn_02
or i have to map only one source ematn to all emant_01

_03
if there are n ematn's in that case how to map dynamically -
Lsmw (batch input recording)
explain step by step procedure for uplodig master data through lsmw (batch input recording) method. please explain settings for auto field mapping in 5th step
Hi Neela,
These are the steps to be followed while doing a Batch Input Recording.
LSMW STEPS (Batch Input Recording)
1. Maintain Attributes:
Here you have to choose the second option and you can do the recording how this should work. Then assign the same to the Batch Input Recording name.
2. Maintain Source structure:
Create a structure name
3. Maintain Source field:
Create a structure like the Input File
eg:
Name - LIFNR
Description - Account number or Vendor Number
4. Maintain structure relations:
This will link the structure to the input file.
5. Maintain field mapping and conversion rules:
You can choose the Auto Filed Mapping under Extras Menu. Yopu can also do coding, depending upon the code you have written or assignment you have done the values will get picked up from the file and get processed.
6. Maintain field mapping and conversion rules:
If you have any fixed values you can define here.
7. Specify files:
Specify the input file path and type.
8. Assign files:
This will assign ur file to the Input file
9. Read Data:
This will read ur data from teh file.
10. Dispaly Read Data:
You can see the uploaded data
11. Convert Data
This will convert the data to the corresponding format for processing
12. Display Converted data:
13. Create batch input session
Here this will create a batch input session for processing
14. Run Batch Input session:
By clicking on the session and process (Back ground or Display Errors)

RajHi,
I am also trying to create GL master data in multiple company codes (CoCd) using LSMW with;
- Standard Batch / Direct Input
- Object: 0010
- Method: 0001
- Program name: RFBISA00
- Program type: B
LSMW can't generate the batch session as the GL account already exist in the chart of account (CoA). Can someone give me an example code to use in "Maintain Field Mapping and Conversion Rules" to avoid this error please?
This code should check whether the gl account exist in CoA, if yes, don't create in CoA and carry on with creating in the CoCd. If no, create in both CoA and CoCd.
Kind regards,

My macbook pro is failing to read a new sd card with movies recorded on it. Any ideas please? A previously used SD card has downloaded without problems. I have tried using a card reader as well as downloading from the video camera itself, neither works.
I can view the latest recordings on the video camera so know they are there somewhere. I am now thinking I should have formatted or initialised the new card before using it but didn't think of that at the time. Obviously don't want to do this now as it will wipe the movies.Hi and Welcome to the Forums!

I was recording a song, finished it and everything went alright. Then I wanted to start with the recording of a new song. With the SAME plug-ins and settings as in the song before. I could record it all, but then, logic started crashing! Now, Logic crashes everytime I open up the new song as soon as I press play. But when I open up the older song, everything works just fine. I can press play without any problems, do things here and there... typical Logic stuff. So, it has to do with my new project! But why? I mean, I'm using everything the same way in both projects. Literally everything!
Now, here's one of my crash reports... please help. Please. Thanks in advance!

How to load unicode data files with fixed records lengths?
Hi!
To load unicode data files with fixed records lengths (in terms of charachters and not of bytes!) using SQL*Loader manually, I found two ways:
Alternative 1: one record per row
SQL*Loader control file example (without POSITION, since POSITION always refers to bytes!)<br>
LOAD DATA
CHARACTERSET UTF8
LENGTH SEMANTICS CHAR
INFILE unicode.dat
INTO TABLE STG_UNICODE
TRUNCATE
A CHAR(2) ,
B CHAR(6) ,
C CHAR(2) ,
D CHAR(1) ,
E CHAR(4)
) Datafile:
001111112234444
01NormalDExZWEI
02ÄÜÖßêÊûÛxöööö
03ÄÜÖßêÊûÛxöööö
04üüüüüüÖÄxµôÔµ Alternative2: variable length records
LOAD DATA
CHARACTERSET UTF8
LENGTH SEMANTICS CHAR
INFILE unicode_var.dat "VAR 4"
INTO TABLE STG_UNICODE
TRUNCATE
A CHAR(2) ,
B CHAR(6) ,
C CHAR(2) ,
D CHAR(1) ,
E CHAR(4)
) Datafile:
001501NormalDExZWEI002702ÄÜÖßêÊûÛxöööö002604üuüüüüÖÄxµôÔµ Problems
Implementing these two alternatives in OWB, I encounter the following problems:
* How to specify LENGTH SEMANTICS CHAR?
* How to suppress the POSITION definition?
* How to define a flat file with variable length and how to specify the number of bytes containing the length definition?
Or is there another way that can be implemented using OWB?
Any help is appreciated!
Thanks,
Carsten.Hi Carsten
If you need to support the LENGTH SEMANTICS CHAR clause in an external table then one option is to use the unbound external table and capture the access parameters manually. To create an unbound external table you can skip the selection of a base file in the external table wizard. Then when the external table is edited you will get an Access Parameters tab where you can define the parameters. In 11gR2 the File to Oracle external table can also add this clause via an option.
Cheers
David
