LSO Course type - qualification

Dear all,
I have assigned the qualification to the course type..Once the participant completed the training the assigned qualification has not been moved to the employee qualification infotype..
Please tell how to do config for the automatic transfer..

Please check the integration switches in table T77S0:
PLOGI APPRA 0 Integration switch for appraisal
PLOGI QUALI 0 A032 Q Integration switch for qualifications
Input values
You can set up the following values for switch PLOGI QUALI:
o 1 A032 Q : integration active with link A032 to object type Q
(qualifications)
or
o 0 A032 Q: integration is not active.
Requirements
This integration only takes effect if an integration plan version is
entered in switch PLOGI PLOGI.

LSO - Course type is displayinf free of charge when there is a cost fee

HI,
I've created a price for one course type and would like to see it displayed in the LSo Portal if the employee checks the course info.
But when I open the course information, the Fee details are bringing free of charges.
How can I make it work? Today I'm not using the integration with FI-CO or billing. Is it an issue?

I've created the prices in IT 1021 using LSO_PSV2, the price is not coming. I've found a SAP note that I'm trying to apply that tells me there is something wrong with this field in my current SAP version.

Mass Qualification Transfer during LSO Course Follow Up

Dear all,
May I confirm if mass change of qualification proficiency during a course follow up is possible? I've noticed that I cannot change the proficiency value in the mass change dialog.

Hi Stephen, check your follow-up settings for the appropriate delivery method, via IMG: Training & Event Management > SAP Learning Solution > Recurring Activities > Follow-Up > Control of Process Steps (table V_LSOFUPROCESS) and then have a look at the appropriate delivery method. Ensure that the "Process" selected for the appropriate "initial" setting is "D - Follow Up Participation (with Proficiency Change)" and "F - Follow Up Pass Result (with Proficiency Change)." Those settings controll whether or not you're able to change the proficiency of the qualification earned by completion of the learning activity.
Also, take a look at the relationship on the related course type D-A028-Q (course type imparts qualification) has a proficiency set against it in the master data of the course type. From your screenshot above it looks like no proficiency was set for this relationship.

LSO- Course Groups and Course Types are not displayed in Spanish

We are having issues with the
data like Course Groups and Course Types not being displayed in
Spanish on the Learning Iview.
The Data in the Course Catalog is loaded in Spanish and
English and I can see the Course Catalog in Spanish when logging on in Spanish in the back end.
SAP asked us to apply few notes as below
#1247020 OTR: Texts are not transported
#448220 OTR: Text is not determined/incorrect text is displayed
We have applied the above as well and we had no solution.
However the Problem is NOT related to Texts/Labels as these are displayed in Spanish.
The Problem is related to the data like Course Groups and Course types not being displayed in Spanish in the front end.
SAP also came up with the below which did not help either.
The system will pick the language texts in the sequence
maintained in the view T778L. If the system does not find text in
login langauge , the application will search in the sequence
maintained in the view T778L .Therefore you can change the sequence
of the languages in the above view as per your requirement.
Let me know if anyone has a solution to this or has encountered the same problem.

Is this production or is this in a development system? The dropdown displayed comes from the standard tables. If it's working in development system and not in production, then the chances are higher that the translation didn't go through.

Authorization Object at course type level in LSO

Hi Experts,
We are trying to restrict authorization for users at Course type level or each course level.
Is there any authorization object available in SAP Standard roles (PFCG) to restrict users at Course level.
Maximum points would be rewarded for useful solution.

LSO-Fee on course/course type

Hi All,
Where do we put course prices for the to appear on the portal we are putting in them on the course type field which brings it across when creating a course date in the back end but is not appearing on the portal?

We faced the same problem that even though prices were appearing in the back-end, in the portal it was appearing as free-of-charge.
We traced the authorisation trace and found that the authorisation to display the prices infotype had not been added to PLOG.
After adding the authorisation, the price was available.

Course Type - prereq quals

I have a quick question around prerequisite quals related to a course type.
Firstly, I have setup config in the below IMG Path:
Training and Event Management > SAP Learning Solution > Training Management > Day to Day Activities > Booking > Participant Checks
Against Person, I have added 'E' (Error) for 'Check qualifications'.
This basically means that a person won't be able to enrol in a course unless they have achieved the prequisite qual. If they don't have that qual, an error will appear and you won't be able to proceed with the booking.
My customer actually has a course type which has three prerequisite quals. Two of these prereqs are optional and one is mandatory. However, i don't think this is possible.
I think they ALL have to be the same (i.e. ALL warnings or ALL errors etc.)
I looked at the Procedure infotype on the course, however there didnt seem to be a way to do this.
Anyone know if theres a way to have multiple prereqs which have different checks?

[LSO] Resource types blocking

Hi,
We have implemented SAP LSO at a customer, but during a training course we gave to the client, we came across the following problem:
When we are creating a course type and open the screen for attaching resource types (we have created multiple R objects) while someone else is executing the same action, SAP says the resource type is blocked by the other user (who first opened the selection screen).
We think this is quite strange since we are not actually changing the R object, just creating a relation with the course type (object D)
This is a problem since a large population will use LSO and probably create course types at the same time.
Is there a way to solve this problem ?

A Workaround will be create the relationship Event type-Resource type after the Event type is created. You can do this by PP01 tx.
An example of this: centralize the creation of the relationship Event type-Resource type in one User (let's to say yourself).
Well, when anyone creates an Event type that requires a Resource type, he/she will send the requirement to you, and save the Event type without this assignment.
Then, in certain moment, you take the list of D objects that requires a specific Resource type, and:
1. go to PSVR transaction
2. select R object > right click > change
3. (you'll go to PP01 transaction) select the Relationships infotype and create the B022 relationship for each Event type.
Also, you can build a custom program that do something simmilar in order to automate the process.
Alsomore, i'm thinking another workaround:
You can change the relationship behaviour, in order to create only the "A" link when you create an Event type (that avoid to lock the resource), and then by using a program that run let's to say once a day, check every A022 relationships without the "B" link and then add the corresponding B022 relationship in R objects.
But i think meanwhile the "B" link is not done, many reports can bring erroneus or bad information.

LSO Course Program Issues (Need Instructions)

We are currently investigating the need for the course program functionality at our organization and have setup a few with mixed results. We are running LSOFE603 and have been live for over a year so the portal and configuration appears to be correct. If I subscribe to the course program then a course program can not be found error is displayed. In addition to this I can book in the seperate course types from the learner portal but titles seems to be missing from the display.
Does anyone know where I can find clear step by step instructions on how to setup a course program? Everything checks out okay from our setup but we continue to have issues. Thank you in advance for your response(s).

use lso_pvct > Create Course program
Enter abbrev, name, language, & save
when you save, it will ask you to manage course blocks.
you can create sequential or non-sequential course blocks.
You must save the blocks before you can add course types to them.
Once saved, edit the course program > Course blocks
add your course types to the blocks; either sequenced or non-sequenced.
config for course programs is
1) number range intervals
2) relationships for the course type object EK
3) Define object type > Structure search LSO-l-ek
4) Followup for course type EK

Delivery method when creating course type

Hi,
I am not getting the 'Delivery method' option when creating course type..it takes 'Class room' training by default always..
I was getting this option 2 days before..Do i have to change some configs for this?

I am facing the same problem.
But despite adding Infotype 5007 for Object Type D in table T777I, the Delivery Method option is not appearing for me.
It was appearing as long as LSO was activated in the system.
But since my customer is not using LSO, we deactivated it. My customer is using TEM stand-alone (ECC6.0).
I suspect this functionality is available only while using LSO.

LSO course authorization for Organizational Unit

Hi,
Is is possible to restrict courses in a course catalog according to Organizational unit. In the system we can restrict users to specific courses through structural authorization, but is it possible to maintain authorizations on Organizational units for LSO Courses or course types.

Disappering is the right behavior. On delivery method WBT participant type 'O' cannot be booked because WBT can be only accessed using Learning portal and Learning portal cannot be logged in using Org. Unit. So this is not possible for this release.
But i have heard in EHP4 this option of Org. unit booking on WBT is possible but not directly but system will take care if you select an org unit for booking.

To assign "is mandatory" relation to Course and not to Course Type...

Hello LSO Gurus,
My client requirement is to assign mandatory courses to Jobs. I am able to assign u201Cis mandatory u201C relationship for infotype 1001 with sub type A615 to Course Type (D).
I am not clear on how to assign the u201Cis mandatoryu201D relationship to courses (ELSO).
Please suggest how to maintain this relationship if at all it is possible.

Thank you for providing me this curcial help. I had done the updates in the table and also brought this into allowed relationship and was able to assing A615 relationshisp to course in PP01. From here i now sure on the below
1. How will the participant who is assigned to that job know that a mandatory course is assigned to him?
2. How ill the Mananger in MSS will be able to track his mandatory course.

Example. There is a course Type in Course catalog same Course type Learner attended in out side of the organization. Now we want to register the course is completed by this person or user. How to register.

As I mentioned in my previous message, since you already have same Course Type (Same as outside Course type) in your system you may consider doing following:
1. Underneath of the course type which is available in your system create a course with the same dates as your employee attended outside course.
2. Book the employee for that course, Firmly book the course and follow up the course to transfer the qualification to employee's master data.
For reporting purpose, you can use Description Infotype at Course Type Level (for ex: creating a Subtype or whichever way you want you can use it or you can have a custom relationship)

Training & Event Management Course type ** could not be created Message no. LSO033

Dear Gurus;
I'm trying to record a Business Event Group through S_AHR_61011889 - Business Event Group , then a Business Event Type through S_AHR_61011888 - Business Event Type.
Actually when I'm recording the data of the Business Event Type then I save i get a message stating
Course type **** could not be created
Message no. LSO033
to be able to save the event type I have just to record its name and the capacity then after saving I have to select change "F6" and record each data infotype separately, something which is not logical for the users.
Even when they make change and record the remaining Infotypes like the description then they select display what they've recorded doesn't come
Does anyone know how can I fix this?

Course Type combination of Sequence, Alternate Group and Default in PP01

Hi Guys,
Need your help that we are facing currently.
While linking Course type with Course program(Mandatory block), we are facing issue below-
No sequence number visible on portal.
Trainings are visible in Alternative section.
After initial analyse,we found that in additional data of course type sequence(Element Sequence),alternate group and defaults(Element Alternatives) should be maintained. But not sure what should be the correct combination through which i should be able to see correct sequence in proper section.
Please suggest the proper combiation for this linkage which will be useful for me.

Hi,
When you maintain condition record that time system bring unit of measurement from material master and curancy from sales organization in which you created material.
Now in your customized table case, there is sales organization but not any material so it is not bringing it default as you don't have material.
So in this case you have to maintain it manually
Note - you material type, material group,etc not depandant to any UoM
