LSO EHP4 functionality - Appraisals

Hi,
We are in the processing of upgrading to LSO EHP4. I have gone through what is on offer in this Enhancement Pack and stumbled across this one:
Appraisals, Evaluations and Surveys: "An additional user interface has been provided to enable the creation and maintenance of appraisals, evaluations, and surveys based on Web Dynpro ABAP."
We are very interested in this but we're wanting more information on exactly what this does and how it differs from what we currently have. Does it just look different or is there more functionality?

Hi Shaun,
There is no new interface for Level 1 Evaluations. The new interface referred to is a fixed performance appraisal that supports new functionality such as cascading goals and team calibration. You must leverage the SAP form - there is no inherent flexibility, such as there is with the traditional appraisals as the process is predefined.

You will note a reference to LSO integration. This has to do with the ability to include learning elements (course types) in an appraisal as a part of the performance appraisal. Basically the free enhancement BAdI has been extended for you. These learning elements appear in the Learner's Messages and Notes as Mandatory Training. They may be leveraged with the existing appraisals (rather than the predefined) and the newer development plan functionality as well.

We have implemented the EHP4 -OSA using the Webdynpro abap applications.
Application components used - se 80 - HAP_START_PAGE_POWL_UI . - Webdynpro applications - Application configuration -
/sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/hap_start_page_powl_ui_ess .
Under this we have a standard behaviour of one tab - show quick criteria maintenance - button if we click this it will show some details .
We want to keep it open instead of in hide mode ,can any one please share their ideas on this.

Hi Kumar,
good question, because i did not know myself so it sparked my interest. i don't think there is a way to configure it to load open by default, so you will have to handle it with development using an implicit enhancement.
When the screen initializes you can the call the method that opens the detailed search.
To see this working go to se80.
Navigate to the webdynpro component = POWL_UI_COMP
In the component navigate to the views and choose Master_content
When the master content is opened navigate to the methods tab.
choose the method - ONACTIONON_QUICKSEARCH - put a breakpoint here. when you click the button to open and close the quick criteria maintenance it should break.
In that method you to have the view come as expanded you would have to set the variable = ms_ui_properties-qsearch_expanded = initial.
Iit looks like this variable gets initialized with class / method
CL_POWL_UI_HELPER->set_current_query
ms_ui_properties-qsearch_expanded = abap_true. (line 145)

LSO EhP4 - Integration to Atlas

At my present customer location, they are currently using courseware from ATLAS for their training needs.
With LSO implementation, there is a requirement to integrate with ATLAS.
Does anyone have experience integrating LSO with ATLAS?

Emp document text-Ehp4-OBN-Carrer and JOB -Appraisals

Hi,
We have been uisng the ehp4 wd appraisals for a long time , recently we have updated the patch level and for this we need to use bp common parts which changed some of the look and feel feature on portal which we do not want to use.
1. The new text button -Employee Document is appearing on the forms in the portal ( its being picked for lpd_cust setting in the back end)
2. The color has changed from blue to white.
Can any one please share how to hide the employee document and how to retain the original color settings ( portal themes can not be used as this may change complete poral color)
Please share your ideas on this.

SAP ECC 6.0 EHP4 installation with ABAP+JAVA stack

Hi,
I need to install SAP ECC6.0 EHP4 with ABAP+JAVA stack on windiws server 2008 with oracle.
I have read that for this, we need to install ECC 6.0 EHP4 ready and then upgrade to EHP4 using ehpi installer.
I have found the documents seperately for ABAP and JAVA stack and not for ABAP+JAVA.
I need clarifications on these.
1.Do we need to install ABAP and JAVA instances seperately with EHP4 and then upgrade(In that case I have to install both instances on single host)?
2.Should we give seperate <SID> for both instances and create seperate databases?
3.Hard disk requirement for this set up.(We have 150 GB including C drive)
4.Steps to perform after installing ECC6.0 EHP4 ready
5.Please send me the doc. if anyone has

Solution manager BPR for ECC EHP4

Hi All,
Is there a business process repository that includes EHP4 functionality?
In my company we want to build a template for QM processes, with EHP4 there is some new functionality offered and we would like to pull this information from the BPR into our template project to then evaluate with the business if this would be useful or not.

Rearchitecture of Org/Management in ISH with Ehp4

Hello all!
We upload EhP4 functions to our ISH system, i ve got a question regarding function ISH_BP_OM SAP Patient Management Rearchitecture BP/OM. We ve read in details the technical info about this function where is written:
""Identification Key for Organizational and Building Units
The identification key is located in the field HC OU for OUs and in the field HC BU for BUs. The value for these fields can be entered during creation of an OU or BU.
Note
If you are using internal numbering, you can leave this field empty. The system does not assign internal numbers immediately following the input, but when you run the release report for OUs (transaction NB53) or the release report for BUs (transaction NB43).

So we ve set the internal numbering for ish OU but ish Org.structure in ish transactions are not created after releasing new Org. Management structure.
What can be the reason of it? We need ISH Org structer to be created automatically after creating and releasing new ISH Org. Management structure.
Help please!

We clearly understood this facts.
1. Yes, We have new system with no data in it.
2. Yes. We activated Business Function "ISH_BP_OM". and we see the migration nodes in the IMG. (under thread "Hospital -Instruments). But it shouldn't be run as you said in the clear system.
We created SAP BP with new ish roles (insurance company, employer etc.) but after this action these BP were not created automatically in ish transactions for BP).
The same situation is with the hospital structure: we created ogr. unit in OM and release it, but it was not created automatically in ish old structure transaction.
We also created a patient with ish NV2000 but no reflection in SAP BP data (role "Patient")
As i understand from EhP4 functions description, ish structure and ISh BP is now maintaining in new standard OM and BP instruments and each time synchronically automatically are being created in the ish area without any migration process.
As all ish data are still oriented for old ish tables (for example search help for physicians in case data and sheduling, search help for bed and OU asignment in case data..etc.) there must be any customizing point for this process.
And our problem is that we cant find where this activation indicator or customizing chain for automatical creation.

Profile Match up and Training Event details without LSO.

hello,
We have requirement where we want to show Profile Match up and Training Event details in MSS.But we are not going to use LSO.
so now que is without LSO there ivew will work or not. Now this iview are present in MSS folder.Is this iview are using LSO function module because of that they might not work?

To make it more clear.... sorry for not explaining this initially.
1. There is a service in ESS(ITS) for profile match up.
2. For mss siddharth is asking from where does the data come in case of pv7i and 8i
So the answer for MSS is that if you need to use profile match up without LSO then you make use of the ITS based profile matchup service to identify how you will carry out a development.
I am not aware of any existing transaction for profie in MSS so you need to develop but the answer to your question is
"you can certainly use TEM (without LSO) to create profile match up in MSS".
This has been done for most of the customers by SAP as not everyone uses LSO.
Function RHPP_SHOW_PROFILE_MATCHUP will help you achieve this very easily without LSO.
Please feel free to ask for more details.

■ After the installation ...
ABAP system based on SAP NetWeaver 7.0 including enhancement package 1,
your system only has the basic ERP 6.0 EHP4 technical usage ABAP
Technology for ERP EHP4. Therefore, the system is in an intermediate
state that is not supported by SAP. To complete the installation
process you must install additional SAP ERP 6.0 EHP4 functionality
in your SAP ERP 6.0 - EHP4 Ready ABAP system.
-> Why SAP does not Support Ehp4 after installation(ie intermediate state)?
- I believe its possible to skip installing Components and can install only required support package while download in MOPZ. In this case SAP does not support? please confirm

Hi Jaichan,
it is an EHP4 "ready" installation -> so all application components are on the initial ECC 6.0 level (technically 600) - and the Basis is on NW EHP1 (7.01). This in an intermediate state.
In a second step you are required ERP application parts should be update with EHP4.
In case you want to use a "pure" ECC 6.0 just use a different set of DVD's (e.g. SR3) - then you don't need to install the EHP afterwards.

ESS EHP4 Components

Hello,
We are currently building a new SAP Landscape and want to use ESS functionality with the Enterprise Portal.
We are running an ERP 6.0 with EHP4 SR1 and the Netweaver Portal on Netweaver 7.01 SR3. None of the EHP4 Functionality is used or will be activated in near future.
The question is: Do I have to use the BP_ERP5ESS 1.41 (EHP4) or is it possible to use BP_ERP5ESS 1.0 SP15 (none EHP) as long as we not activate any EHP 4 functionalities?
The same with the Components SAP_ESS 600 (603) and PCUI_GP 600 (603).

Switching on the EHP4 functionalities only for Procurement as a part of SRM

Hi Friends,
We are upgrading from 4.6C to ECC 6.0 EHP4, but the EHP4 functionalities are not activated. Further now we are planning to upgrade our SRM system from 5.0 to 7.0. As a part of SRM upgrade we wanted to switch on the EHP4 functionalities only for procurement. My doubt here is Can we activate only Procurement functionalities in EHP4, if yes would it affect the cross function modules.
This is crux for our further discussions, as lot of new functionalities being provided by SAP with ECC EHP4 when we integrate with our SRM system.
Could you please provide me some inputs about the activation of EHP4 Procurement functionalities and side effects for cross functional modules.

even we do very rigorous testing to move one service pact to another service pack.

yes. since EHP4 - totally different behavior on two main things. You need to study the EHP4 functionality very well
for eg. in PDP scenario , w dont run any req transfer job to transfer PR to SC in the SRM and it automatically happens and it traverse via XI. but SRM 550 ECC 6.0 - we transfer via Batch job no XI required.
in Contarct management :- SRM 700 with EHP4 ECC 6.0 , CONTRACT from SRM to ECC via XI but SRM 550 ,contract comes from SRM to ECC via IDOCs .
so in EHP4 DEFINETLY HAS LOT OF BUSINESS OBJECT LEVEL CHANGES. EXTRA FIELDS IN CONTRACT. FOR EXAMPLE PAYTERM FOR EACH ITEM IN THE NEW CCTR.

Evaluation of modules and teaching staff

Within SAP HCM Training and Event Management/Learning Solution there is an option to evaluate the courses and trainers in the learning portal. Is this functionality also available for SLcM by means of integration or does SLcM have its own functionality?
(and has anyone customer experiences with this kind of question?)

Hello Rob,
We do not have an explicit integration of TEM / LSO (Learning Solution) appraisals. And we do not use possible appraisals in SLcM processes. However, at least for business events (object type E) we respect the data model from TEM / LSO and are therefore implicitely integrated with TEM / LSO. Events created in SLcM appear in TEM and LSO. That means also that functions offered by LSO can be used even if they do not appear in the SLcM menu.
We have not analyzed the usage of event appraisals so far, but due to the implicit integration explained above we can assume that the appraisal function (in sense of event evaluation - students appraise event) can be used, at least for the business events (object type E).
