    I have checked the relationships , schedules,  correspondence infotype etc , all the data items are maintained identical and all the participants are active in the system.
    Am i missing something here.

  • Cancel the booking for ILT courses

    Hi All,
    Currently if an employee is booked into the course/training  thru ESS, which is scheduled on the same day of booking and then we are not able to cancel the booking thru ESS on the same day.
    In portal there is message that says" You are booked for this course. You cannot cancel the booking since the course has already started or finished. " even though i have 2 schedules on the same day one in the morning and the other in noon so employees book for morning session and then they realise that they can't make it so when they try to cancel they get the above error message.
    Pls let me know how can the ee cancel the course before the training starts and book the non session.
    thanks in advance.

    We just identified this issue as well.  If you create a curriculum that consists of a WBT and then an ILT as sequenced, all dates appear.  This is the sequence my client always uses and what we tested, so we were able to go live with the issue you described.  However, we are logging an OSS message.  I would recommend you log one too - the more the merrier
    Good luck,

  • How to implement multlingual on bea portal books and pages

    Hi
    We are are using BEA weblogic portal.
    Now we want to use multilingual on bea portal.
    Ho we can change the portal book's name and pages according to languages.
    Regards
    Paramdeep Singh

    In your browser, you maintain your list of desired languages. This is an ordered list with the first language/locale in the list being the primary. This list of languages is passed to the server in as header. The portal server uses this header as the default mechanism to determine the language to serve back to the browser, although this behavior can be changed for your implementation if you wish. The server will look for a matching resource bundle based on the order of preference in your list of accepted languages.
    So, if you want to receive fr_FR responses, ensure the fr_FR is listed first in your browsers list of languages and that you have created fr resources in your portal.

  • Creating Portal Books and Pages dynamically

    How do i create Portal Books Dynamically from a backingfile (preRender Method). And still be able to dynamically embed a portlet instance on each page created.
    very urgrent

    Hello,
    You would want t use the methods available on the BookDefinitionManager and PageDefinitionManager EJBs to add a new book or page definition. then use the methods from the IPageInstanceManager and IBookInstanceManager interfaces implemented by the PortalCustomizationManager EJB to add the book / page under an existing book / page / desktop.
    For the javadoc for all of these EJBs, see:
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E13155_01/wlp/docs103/javadoc/com/bea/netuix/application/manager/persistence/package-summary.html
    Then, to access the EJB in your code, you can do the following (this example is for PageDefinitionManager, but it would be similar to all the other EJBs):
    import com.bea.netuix.application.manager.persistence.PageDefinitionManagerHome;
    import com.bea.netuix.application.manager.IPageDefinitionManager;
    import com.bea.p13n.management.ApplicationHelper;
    import com.bea.netuix.application.manager.CustomizationContext;
    import javax.naming.InitialContext;
    import javax.rmi.PortableRemoteObject;
    import javax.servlet.http.HttpServletRequest;
    import javax.servlet.http.HttpServletResponse;
    // Access the PageDefinitionManager EJB
    InitialContext context = new InitialContext();
    String lookupName = PageDefinitionManagerHome.LOOKUP_NAME;
    String applicationName = ApplicationHelper.getVersionedAppName();
    if((applicationName != null) && (applicationName.length() > 0))
    lookupName = applicationName + "." + lookupName;
    Object home = context.lookup(lookupName);
    home = PortableRemoteObject.narrow(home, PageDefinitionManagerHome.class)
    IPageDefinitionManager pageManager = ((PageDefinitionManagerHome)home).create();

  • LSO -  How to reverse historised courses to firmly booked

    Hello Friends,
    Well we have situation where I'm supposed to move a course to Firmly booked. I have tried to change the delimit date through T Code - RE_RHGRENZ1, however I can only extend the date and also allows me to edit participants but the status remains as Internally Followed up and not as Firmly booked. If I only extend the delimited date it wouldnt alow me to again perform the follow up and historise.
    Kindly could some one guide me on this please...!
    Regards,
    Shankar

    All the wait list participants will continue to appear even after the follow up and historising the course.
    We will have to manually cancel the wait list participants before performing the follow up.
    Not sure if there is any other way.

  • LSO - XI - Skillsoft integration, launch course

    Hi Gurus,
    I am working on a scenario where we are launching and tracking web based courses (Skill soft a third party).
    Let me give you more details of my scenario.
    1) Commnication is from SAP LSO System to Third Party(Skill Soft) through PI(XI).
    2) We are following this approach - Client Proxy>XI>Web service(SkilSoft) and it will be synchronous call.
    3 ) From portal user should be able to Lauch, or Track the course and will get response back to SAP LSO system/portal from Skill Soft.
    For above approch we have copied a class CL_LSO_WS_XI into a custom and modifying its method to launch the course.
    Now I need help on how to pass the parameters like customerid, assetid,courseid etc to PI(XI).
    If anyone has worked on similar scenario and has reference code or reference material for modifying the method (of class CL_LSO_WS_XI ) to launch the course, please reply.
    Thanks in advance.
    Akash

    Hello All,
    I am having similar scenario of LSO integration with Skillsoft via PI. I have already referred the PDF XI Configuration for SkillSoft Integration.
    The flow of interface in my scenario is
    Portal(FrontEnd) <-> ECC(BSP Application at Backend) <-> PI <---> External Learning Vendor(SkillSoft).
    1) Commnication is from SAP LSO System to Third Party(Skill Soft) through PI(XI).
    2) It will be synchronous call.
    3 ) From portal user should be able to register, book,Lauch, or Track the course and will get response back to SAP LSO system/portal from Skill Soft.
    4) Portal is the frontend and backend is the BSP application(ZHCM_Learning).
    Can you please let me know the details how you handled this scenario and passed  the parameters like customerid, assetid,courseid etc to PI(XI). Also let me know what would be the best approach to follow in this scenario..Is there any BAPI / RFC available for this scenario or need to go via proxy.
    Thanks
    Shikha

  • LSO Check Booking and Prebooking

    Is there a BApi that is to be modified to validate booking or prebooking personnel when you've created a new prerequisite (object type C) for course type in LSO?  Or, is this a configuration change only?  We've created the relationship and the intotype is correct, however, when you test the action the system is not checking for the prerequisite and issuing an error.

    Hi James,
    You have not mentioned, which portal you are using. Please see below, that there are differences in the learning and the admin portal:
    Learning Portal:
    The framework of the existing design of the Learning Portal does not
    allow customer specific error messages to be displayed in the portal.
    Only a generic message will be displayed when prebooking in the learning
    portal if the BADI LSO_CHECK_BOOKING returns an error. The design of the
    application does not expect to raise an exception from the BADI. If the
    BADI processing is assumed to be unsuccessful, the messages filled by
    the BADI will be ignored and a general error message will be displayed
    in the portal.
    So this is basically a design limitation.
    Administrator Portal:
    Have you tried e.g. the following notes?
    SAP Note 1806593 Admin Portal: Message is not displayed while prebooking
    SAP Note 1575238 LSO: BADI LSO_CHECK_BOOKING does not show warning messages
    Regards,
    Agnes

  • LSO PORTAL - SCREEN OUTPUT WITHOUT CONNECTION TO USER

    Hi All,
    When I try to book a participant for a course in Learning Solutions Portal, my event/business object gets triggered and i get a SWEL entry, but the RFC status in SWEL gives error saying Screen output without connection to user because of which my workflow attached to the business object is not getting triggered.
    Any input as how to solve this error or anything related will be of great help and highly appreciated.
    Thanks in Advance,
    Vaishnavi Varadarajan

    This is probably because the system is trying to output something to screen. This is for an RFC (user) just not possible. When you do this, also have a look at ST22 (short dump). If my assumption is true, then you will also have a dump stating something like: DYNPRO_SEND_IN_BACKGROUND.
    So check what the 'coding' is trying to do, and then avoid doing this. Possibly there is a call screen or a pop-up coming along which just can't be processed in background / by RFC.

  • Error while Booking and Prebooking course

    Dear Experts,
    I have tried to prebook a course from the Portal. Upon clicking the prebook link, the system throws the error,
    "Error when creating the prebooking with the data entered. Check and, if necessary, change your entries and try again. "
    Also when I try to book the course, the system gives the following error,
    "Transport connection is active; no changes possible"
    Am I missing any configurations. Please guide me on this issue.
    Thanks and regards
    Saravanan K

    Hi Saravanan,
    Regarding the first error on prebooking, there always are the start date and end date for each location displayed on the list of entries found. That's why the administrator can choose from this list the right object, which is valid within the period he has already entered on the 'prebook participation' popup or is going to enter. It also depends which from selection's criteria will be entered as first on the popup: location first and the period might be changed afterwards or the period and then the location.
    Anyway the system delivers the above error when the invalid location has been selected and the further processing will be stopped.
    Regarding the second error, check the SAP Notes 33582, 819656, 163897 and 746917.
    In many cases, the transport connection in the back-end system is active. You can then proceed as follows: In the table T000, change the transport settings for the corresponding client. If this is not possible, you can use the TRSP/CORR switch in the T77S0 table to deactivate the transport connection for HR-PD objects.
    I hope the above helps.

  • LSO portal - offline player configuration

    hi team,
    Could someone shed some light on LSO offline player post installation configuration. The standard installation guide doesn't talk anything about the offline player configuration.
    As per my knowledge, the offline player installed on the local PC directly connects to Content Player running on learning portal through http session, so is there anything that we need to mention like Content player URL in the offline player. so that it will directly interact with Content player everytime.
    i believe there are won't be any functional changes in the backend right, on the LSOFE side. please explain.

    Hi,
    Where as i know there is no functional change required for this other than normal configuration for LSO.
    Need to provide credential whenever you want to connect to backend system .
