LSO - Restricting Course Group to specific Org Unit

Hi,
We have created a Course Group (Object Type L) that we only want a specific Org Unit to see in the Dynamic Course/Participation menu.
What would be the best way to restrict this?
Thanks

Try Structural Authorization
Tables T77UA and T77PR.
Hope this helps.

  • SAP LSO - RESTRICT COURSE VIEWS

    Hi All ,
I am in the initial stages of LSO . There is a specific scenario I need to work on .
If there are 2 separate org units assigned to 2 company codes eg. company A , company B both belonging to same parental company D . Few courses are booked for each of them . Assuming it is a hospital service industry , the employees are expected to participate in specific training programs .
To restrict the course views by other org unit participants would the best option be --using the org unit , cost center or any other option .
If an employee in Company A takes a course he should not be able to view the courses available for employees of company B in the portal and vice versa. But there can be few courses which an employee has to take from company A and B as per requirement . How can this be restricted and what are the ways to configure the same . please suggest .
    Regards ,
    Raji .

If this is only required for a given set of courses (or of users) you can define those courses in a 3rd subset of your course catalog to which every user has access (or you can define a mixed authorization profile to give to those users). If you cannot organize you course catalog in shuch a way or you cannot define precisely what users can book all courses, then you will need to find a workaround I think (like if a user from company A wants to book a course not in the catalog, he should request it by e-mail to HR, or using a specific form).
It is up to you to see if it's better to give all users access to all courses (how many courses a user could not be interested in will then be seen in the catalog?) or to restrict access (how many courses a user could be interested in will he/she will not be able to book).
    Good luck

  • Restricting no of positions in org unit : SAP OM

    Hi,
    1) My Client wants the no of positions to be restricted at a specific Org unit level in Tree Hierarachy.
    2) Also that no of positions describing a job should not be greater than a specific number.
Request you to guide me how to achieve this in OM.
    Thanks in advance!

    Hi,
Regarding your first question I dont think it is possible.  Regarding your second question, I could think about a workaround, that is once they have created all their positions in the Production system.  Then you can remove authorizations, so that no one is able to create positions.

  • Adding a specific org unit with a user id.

    Hi SAP Master,
How can I add a specific organization Unit with a particular User Id, i.e when ever that user id logs in into system and create a transaction the org. unit assigned with him determined automatically.
And one more query, how can we send a org. unit for approval?
    Thanks and Regards
    Rahul
    Edited by: Rahul07 on Jun 10, 2011 10:18 AM

    Hi Rahul,
We don't assign the Organization unit to the user in the SU01. In SU01 we assing the PFCG roles and authorization related stuff.
Rather we create the Organization model, assign positions and then assign the user to the relevant position under the required organization unit using the tcode "PPOMA_CRM".
When you setup the Organization determination procedure, then automatically while creating the transaction, the Organization Unit of the person who is creating the Transaction gets determined.

  • Retrieving Positions for Specific Org Units

    Hi All,
I have a headcount report to develop. It will run for one personnel area at a time. So for the period run, I have to list out all the org units under the personnel area as well as the sub org units. For each of the org units I have to separate positions under them into two group - total of positions with holders and non-holders.
I am using the function RH_STRUC_GET by passing org unit to retrieve positions. May I know which result table to read in order to get positions and how to segregate them into 'With Holders' and 'Non-Holders'?
And also how to get the relation ship between org units because I need to display that in the report also.
    Thank you in advance

  • Possibility of Focusing to a Specific Org Unit ?

    Hello Everyone,
    We are using Nakisa v4.1 and a live build. I wonder whether the below action is possible or not;
When a manager logs into the system, the OrgChart Module will display all the organizational units BUT will focus to the organizational unit that he/she is the manager of ? I mean the screen will zoom to that organizational unit he/she is managing at the moment he/she logs in ? Is there any customization on Nakisa Admin Console or R3 side for this or it is not possible at all ?
    Thanks,
    Regards.

    Tunc.
I think this is worth a little debugging at this point to confirm the data is mapping as you expect it to.  Once you are logged in to OrgChart and getting the infamous error message, open a new tab in your browser and navigate to the debug page.
This is done by substituting "default" with"nak-debug".  So for example if your OrgChart URL is http://myorgchart/OrgChart/default.jsp, then your debug page URL is http://myorgchart/OrgChart/nak-debug.jsp.
On the debug page, look in your "User" table at the "User Population" row.  The value should be a list of parameters.
    e.g.
    {null=TESTUSER, Costcenter=0000002110, LANGUAGE=, Nak_ExportStructureTable_Count=1, Position=00130049, Name=Ludik, CPID=, IM_EMPSTAT=3, BUSINESS_AREA=9500, PLVN_VERSION=, Perno=00900349, PERSONNEL_SUBAREA=, EMPLOYEE_GROUP=1, Userid=TESTUSER, Nak_EMPLOYEE_DATA_Count=1, CONTROLLINGAREA_ID=1001, KEY_DATE=, PERSONNEL_AREA=1400, Org_unit=50006110, EMPLOYEE_SUBGROUP=DU, Job=50063947}
The parameters you are interested in are...
Userid - this should be the user ID of the account you are logging in with.
Perno - this should be the employee number for the account to which the login ID is associated.
Position - this should be the position ID for the position the employee is assigned to.
Org_unit - this should be the org unit ID for the org unit the position is assigned to.  This is what I would expect to be mapped as the root of your org chart.
Note: All entries must of course be valid for the current date.
See if these parameter values match up to what you expect them to be.  Also see if you can find these org unit, position and employee (personnel number) entires via OrgChart's listings.
If something doesn't match up then that's what you need to investigate next.
    Regards,
    Stephen.

  • LSO - hide course group in Portal display

    Dear experts,
My client has created a extensive Course Catalog with all course groups and course types that will be necessary for the period of one year.
After creating that they found out that one particular course group has courses that will not be available for some time during this period.
We were able to hide all courses removing the flag in course type information IT, but the course group itself is still displayed in the Portal.
For the record, this course group does not have the flag Subject area in IT 1063 because it's not a group root.
Which would be the best solution to hide the course group? I'm trying to avoid to make changes in the structure of the course catalog in the back end, but I'm not sure if there is any solution for that.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks in advance!
    Best regards

    Dear Manny,
Thanks for your reply, but my problem is with a course group, object L, not a course type. The course types are already hidden the way you've mentioned. IT1029 is not allowed to objects L, only D.
My problem now is how to hide the course group to what these hidden courses are assigned. It's displayed in the Portal without any courses.
Do you know how to do it?
    Thanks!

  • Restrict Opportunity access from other Org Unit Sales agent

    Hello,
My Scenario is, there is different Organisation Units and Sales agents are assigned to those Org units. Now the issue is, Sales agent from one Org unit is looking into the opportunity of other Org unit. As the sales agents have their own targets and competition, one should not see the Opportunities of other Org unit.
How can we achieve this ?
a ) Can we achieve this through PFCG roles, if so how ?
       b) I heard about the concept of Access control engine, which is usefull in this kind of scenario's. but again we need to implement ACS here, which I dont have ides.
Please suggest me the best method to achieve this. Also provide me step by step procedure also to achieve this.
    Thanks,
    MD.

    Hi, madhusudan444.
Yes, you can achieve this by PFCG.  Authorization objects CRM_ORD_LP or CRM_ORD_OE will help you.
For more information, please, follow to this link:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_crm70/helpdata/EN/48/a44236ceb873e8e10000000a42189b/frameset.htm
I would not recommend using ACE in this issue, because ACE is abap. Your issue can achieve by standard procedure.

  • How to Restrict a Resp. to Specific Org. in Multi-Org. Setup within an OU

    Hi,
I want to restrict a Responsibility to a specific Inventory Organization in an Operating Unit.
For this purpose, I have defined a Security Profile which restricts the access to that specific Inventory Org. and Operating Unit, and assign the same to the
    Responsibility I want to restrict.
The Security Profile is assigned at the Responsibility level using the Profile Option: MO: Security Profile.
    Relevant Information:
    Application: Oracle Purchasing
    Operating Unit: A OU
Inventory Org.: A-1 (Access Allowed only to this Org.)
    Inventory Org.: A-2
    Inventory Org.: A-3
    Profile option: MO: Security Profile
Now, while working in that Responsibility, for example, when I entered a Purchase Order, it’s not restricting me to the Org. assigned through security profile and also showing the other Inventory Orgs’ (in Shipment Tab of PO).
Now please guide me how I can implement this control using this MO: Security Profile or through sum other functionality like: Org Access etc...
    Regards,
    Kashif

    Kashi,
This security (also organization access security that is in Inventory) does not work for this screen.
Just personlize this based on your business need. Use the WHEN-VALIDATE-RECORD event in the PO_SHIPMENTS block and use the condition :PO_SHIPMENTS.SHIP_TO_ORGANIZATION_CODE=<<ORG>> then raise an error message using the message as the action.
    Thanks

  • How to extract an employee reporting hierarchy per org unit in spreadsheet

    Hi Guys,
Can any one advise if there's a standard report I can use to see employee's  reporting hierachy in spreadsheetformat ?
Report must have per org unit positions with their  related positions :'reports to' A002  relationship between two positions in a specific org unit and person's name/employee number occuping the positions.
I tried creating joint table but battling to undestand how I can have the two related positions info in the infoset.
Current standard report give me only positions with reports to relationship but haven't found report showing me positions with reports to relationship and their related position.

Have you tried using logical database PCH? That gives flexibility to create this kind of report. Create an infoset in SQ02 and an Adhoc Query in SQ01 based on PCH Logical Database. You will need the relationship subtype 'A002' and related object type 'P' on selection screen.

  • Nakisa Org Chart 2.1 - excluding org units from extract and saving chart

    Hi,
Is it possible to exclude specific org units from the org chart that is extracted to Nakisa? These (and all subordinate) org units should not be included in the chart which is to be published on the intranet.
Also, what is the easiest way to create a file (e.g. PDF, PowerPoint) of all org units and positions in the structure? I've looked into using the ChartBook functionality but this did not seem to work too well, and there was no option to Save or Print the chart.
We have Nakisa OrgChart 2.1 SP1 running on SAP CE. This is with a staged extract out of SAP ERP which is hosted on Windows and SQL.
    Thanks.

    Thanks Stephen and Luke.
I will look into your comments re: excluding org units from the directory searches etc when next at the customer site.
As for the Chartbook issue - the customer is looking to create a file (e.g. HTML, PDF) of the entire org structure which they can then make available on the intranet. (They currently only have license for a couple of HR users so ESS access is not an option right now). We have looked at using the standard Print/Export options as well as the Chartbook and neither seems to work particularly well....the customer keeps referring back to how easy it is to create a HTML file using OrgPublisher....
What is the recommended and best approach for creating a file which can be published on a company's intranet? (There are about 1000 positions/employees in total so not a huge file).
Hopefully v3.0 is a whole lot easier to use
    Thanks, Ron

  • FM for getting org units

    Hi,
Is there a FM by which we can get the list of all the lower level depts assigned to a main dept. I mean all the org unit IDs below a specific org unit ID.
I am searching for something similar to FM: BBP_OM_STRUC_GET_USER_FROM_ORG, which will give the list of users assigned to that dept and also to its lower level depts.
    Thanks,
    Arun

SAP fulfills most of the business requirement on organisational structure reporting in different ways to extract the
Organisation structure data by effective transction codes,  reports and graphical diagrams to understand the organisational overview with in short span of time.
In SAP SRM organisation structure is a backbone of SRM so it help us to understand the organisation structure quickly.one picture explains thousand words.
It could be a trivial information those  who wanted to download of purchasing organisational structure in to a flat file from SAP
SRM and display the purchasing organisations into the graphical overview.
*SAP SRM many Transaction codes/reports  help us to download organisational structure in to the  flat file. This file helps us to
do quick analysis of the departments and users but this feature is not available in ppoma_bbp. for eg transaction code RE_RHXSTR00  and OOOE*.
    Step 1:-
Enter a transaction code RE_RHXSTR00 and supply a Organisational Unit 5XXXXXXX (purchase organisation) which you want
to download a structure and you need to select reporting period as you wish and execute this report.
    Step 2:-
As we expected we may get purchasing organisation structure display .
    Step 3:-
Here you can down load in to the desired file via system->list->save
or you can execute the following reports to display the organisational structure and download the organisation structure into
the file for analysis and quick understanding of organisation structure.
    Transaction Codes
    RE_RHXSTR00 -Organisation plan only
RE_RHXSTR01 -Org Structure with position only
    RE_RHXSTR02-Org Structure with person
    RE_RHXSTR03 -Org Structure with workcenters
    RE_RHXSTR04 -reporting structure with persons
    RE_RHXSTR05 -reporting structure without persons
    RE_RHXSTR06 -work centers per org.unit
    RE_RHXSTR07-Activity profile without Persons
    RE_RHXSTR08 -Activity profile with persons
OOOE-organisation structure. here also you can download the desired organisational structure.
Step 1: Enter OOOE and supply your purchasing organisation 5XXXXXXX.
PPCO- organisation management :maintain Org plan and (SAP Structural Graphical view) .This PPCO can be used for graphical overview of Purchasing organisation structure.
Step 1:- Enter PPCO and supply your purchasing org. code 5XXXXXXX and click top down tree diagram.
T code PSOG :- OrgManagement General Reporting .
In SE38 you can execute the following reports to display the organisation structure.
    RHXSTR00 Organizational Structure
RHXSTR01 Organizational Structure with Positions .
    RHXSTR02 Organizational Structure with Persons.
RHXSTR03 Organizational Structure with Work Centers
    RHXSTR04 Report Structure with Persons
    RHXSTR05 Report Structure Without Persons
RHXSTR06 Work Centers per Organizational Unit
RHXSTR07 Activity Profile for Positions Along Organizational Structure
RHXSTR08 Activity Profile of Positions with Persons Along Org structure
The above transaction code/ reports applicable only for  purchasing Organisation structure (PPOMA_BBP) not for vendor organisation structure (PPOMV_BBP).
