Lumia 1020 music problems, intercept call problems

Hello,
I have major problems with new Cyan 8.1 Windows. No more music play , the music can't play at the speackears..plays only at headphones...and for all the persons that rich to call me, the phone rejects them after two calls. Can anybody help?

Are you aware that you now have different volume levels for ringtones and notifications and for apps ane media? Press the volume key once then tap the menu bar that appears at the top of the screen, you will see the two settings here. Even if your ringtone is at loudest, it may be that the app volume level may be at zero. Note that there is a separate volume level when headphones are fitted, and that level is only available to adjust when the headset is fitted, so I'm wondering if this is a simple answer to your question.
The length of time your phone rings when a call is received is not a phone feature, it is handled by your network, so I don't see how updating software could have affected that.

Lumia 1020 speakerphone problem

Hi,
Really enjoying my Lumia 1020 but have one problem with it. When I'm on a call and switch to speakerphone, the other person cannot hear me.
I don't have Bluetooth or any other device connected to the phone when doing this.
I have read that this might be a hardware issue?

Welcome to the world of Nokia Lumia and Windows Phone 8.
Nokia have a habit of "ignoring" known issues (i.e., pretending they don't exist) and then resolving the issue quietly on a software update. They did this with HERE Drive + where early editions of 8 on Lumia 820 and 920 couldn't get a GPS fix when navigating.
There is a definite issue with the hands-free mic which is well highlighted by users on this thread. Hundred of posts appear about this mic issue on 925 and 1020 phones specifically. This issue started with the latest version of Black, and continues unabated. Nokia are swapping hardware where appropriate, but ultimately it is a genuine software issue.
I have tried all the fixes suggested on multiple sites (some have had success by changing Speech Language to another version, for example English (United States), but in reality it's a matter of waiting until the next software release. It is such a pity given how good these phones are (ex iPhone user, and I am on my 3rd Lumia. I've had the 920, 925 and recently got the 1020). I believe that 8.1 will change the game, and so I am going to keep tolerating Nokia's approach for the time being as I can't bear IOS and the small-screen offerings from Apple currently.

Lumia 1020 Video problem

Hi,
I have a problem with my Lumia 1020 video recording.
1- The video is very noisy at night in normal indoor lights.
     I didn't notice when this problem occured because from the time I bought the phone I didn't used it to record videos (only used for photos). The noise will be more visiable if you watch the video in a HD TV.
2- There is a problem of maybe OIS. When I move the phone faster that problem occurs.
     I got this problem when I updated to latest Nokia Camera app from the store.
I have already done soft-reset and hard-reset and also problems are the same with Microsoft Camera too.

Let me know of any solution. The problems are really annoying, specially the video noise with 41 MP camera.

It is impossible to take video footage keeping the camera still. It vibrates completely on its own. There is no way this is supposed to happen. Is this the quality of nokia products now?
I contacted nokia about this issue, and apparently because the phone is an international version it does not come under European warranty. I bought the phone from amazon UK and sent to a UK address, and when i asked the seller where the phone was from was told it was dispatched from the EU. So a product that is bought and sold from within the EU does NOT come under european warranty. This is NOT right - if this is allowed that its pretty unethical.
Anyway, so i am told by Nokia to contact the company i purchased the phone from. I do, they say they will honour the 1 year warrenty on Nokia's behalf. Great, so i send the phone back for repair. I have just today (11th Sept) recived the phone back to me, after months (since 20th July). And the above video is the first thing i test!
So now i am going to have to go through the process of trying to get it repaired (again!?), replacement (dont want if all Nokia phones are this quality), refund (preferably as this experience has left me a poor opinion of Nokia).
I am posting this in case Nokia wants to respond, and for anyone who may also have these problems. I will update accordingly in the future.

Lumia 620 Music problem with wired headset

Sometimes when I start listen music with my Lumia 620 using WH-208 headset (great price/quality ratio),music is only heard from left earpiece. Then I switch power off/on and it plays normally. This has happeded before and after Amber update.

Seen that happen on 925 as well. Restart fixed it, my 925 came with Amber pre-installed, not sure if it is some bug.

I bought a 520 2says ago. Created a nokia account, everytime i try using the music app to download a new song says we had problems registering your device for nokia unlimited music services.

the nokia unlimited music is not available in all countries.

Lumia 1020 problem

I have recently got a Lumia 1020. I have a problem with it that when you shake the phone something inside the camera shakes. It doesn't shake alot but a little. Is it normal?

Having problem with the Lumia 1020 camera

I got my Lumia 1020 today (from ATT). The camera worked fine when I took some pictures with auto settings. Then when I decided to change the settings the camera apeture closed completly as it was taking a photo...but didn't open again. And still doesn't open. I tried to do factory reset and nothing. Still having this problem. I tried to see if there is any update .. nope. I went to Settings --> Applicatoins and on the camera option there is a Reset Camera. I press there but nothing happen.
So now everytime I open the camera I see just a black screen with no options on the screen.
Is anyone having this problem?

When did the camera issue start to happen on your Lumia phone? Is it for a 1020 as well, or for another Nokia Lumia phone? Did you try doing the same troubleshooting steps mentioned in the previous post? You may try doing the other fixes shown at this link: Nokia Lumia 1020 - My camera is not working correctly.

check and make sure that an alert style has been choosen for certain alerts, and make sure you check your sounds in settings

Lumia 1020 updated battery saver problem

After updating the mobile software the battery saver application is not working well.The soft keys at bottom are working but back light is always in off . Please give some new update regarding this issue. When battery saver is in off condition also the soft keys back light is not working. Rectify it by an update.

Good day, vishnu9. You referring to the official Lumia Cyan Windows Phone 8.1 update, right? Since the issue happened after the recent SW update, have you tried verifying if your Lumia 1020's system apps have been updated as well? Just go to Settings > swipe to applications > store > check for updates. After this step, monitor the phone's performance and see if the back light of the capacitive keys will work fine. Keep us posted.

I have just updated my lumia 1020 but I don't know how to unlock or disable lock screen. I locked it with my photo. please help.

Have you tried a soft reset ? Press and hold both the Volume Down and Power key for 15 seconds. After 15 seconds, the display will turn off and the phone will vibrate and restart.

Hi was riding with Iphone connceted to my audi for many years without problem. I have with the Nokia Lumia 1020 the following isues:
a) when connceted I can only play when having logged in-->this is acceptable
b) when phone than is operational with MP3 music, it disconnects ater 5-6 minutes. sometimes longer but most likely 5-6 min in 90% of all cases. Than I need to reconnect. this is disturbing as i have my phoen
for pictures and for music...
any clue?..any spacial things I have to change in the software...let me know?

There were a lot of Bluetooth carkit issues upon the Lumia 920 which improved with release of Amber update, so hopefully this will be attended to in a future update. Ironically music streaming is via A2DP profile, whilst most of issues with 920 were related to HFP = Hands Free Profile.

Lumia Wifi connectivity problem

Just curious if anyone else has had the following issue;
Over the last few days, I have been unable to connect to any wireless network or wifi hotspot. Up until the last few days, I have had no problem connecting to any of these networks. The phone can see all of these networks and in fact gives me an incorrect password error if I enter the wrong password.
The error is always 'Can't connect...The WiFi network ****** didn't respond. Try again later.
The Internet sharing function of the phone still works.
I have a lumia 1020 and upgraded 2 months ago to windows phone 8.1
I have reset the phone, but the issue still exists.
I have not yet used the system recovery tool.

Hello, Mani_S. Welcome to our community. What phone model are you using? Are you trying to connect to a public or private network? Have you already tried the suggestion given by Blu2t? If you haven't read it yet, here's the info:
You may try to delete all known networks under settings> WiFi> manage. After deleting all known networks, try connecting again and see if it'll work. You may also try these steps. See link: My phone has problems connecting to Wi-Fi networks.

Creative Zen loading music problem

"Creative Zen loading music problem?I just started using a creative zen (DVP-FL000, 6Gb) player and i'm having?a few issues copying music onto it.
I have loaded the latest firmware (.2.03e) onto it and formatted it so was clean when i started loading my music on.
I'm using winamp on winxp to copy my music to the player, but occasionally i get tracks that wont copy to the player. Winamp just shows 'unspecified error'. If a file fails to copy it will never copy, no matter how many times i try. Somtimes its a random track, sometimes an entire album.
So i also tried copying the tracks that wont copy using windows explorer, it appears to copy but the file never appears on the device. The same is also true when i try it on my Windows7 laptop with explorer, it will appear to be copying but then part way through it will report that the device has stopped responding.
It only seems to happen with windows media files, all my mp3s copy fine. The files that dont copy probably represent about 0% of my music but play fine on all my other players.

I was planning to Buy Nokia Lumia 1020, as I am a Fan of Nokia at present I have Nokia C7, I got a few friends phones Lumia 720, it does not connect to XP via Bluetooth, which means I cannot send SMS even using MS SMS sender, as Lumia is not Compatible with Nokia Suite, which is a shame, they could have easily made this software like Nokia Suite for Lumia. I did suggest to Nokia CEO Mr. Stephen Elop, he just replyed " Thanks For The Suggestion" Hope he takes this suggestion seriously, there are many symbian users like me waiting to upgrade to better phones and are stuck, to want of this Nokia Suite Like software for Lumia !!!

Windows security is broken up into two parts. Local permissions, and net permissions. You must set both in order to allow access. Simply setting up the share doesn't grant the user access to it.
You must define the share on the Share tab, and then go to the 'Security' tab and add whatever account the user will be using to access the folder and its associated files.
Make sure that the files in whatever folder your sharing pick up the inheritence of the parent folder permissions by checking the security on a few files in the folder and verify that the parent folder permissions match the file permissions. I've had instances where inheritence doesn't apply properly and the files in the folder don't have the permissions you set on the parent folder.
