i have updated my lumia 1020 to latest 8.1 OS and it has a problem it shuts down automaticcally after about 6 hours then i check my phones IMS is nott registered....any suggestion please reply me

Satellite M100 shuts down automatically after about 10min

Hey there guys :)
My Toshiba Laptop has been powering off abrubptly and on it's own lately.
When I turn my Laptop on, everything appears fine, battery if fully charged, AC adapter plugged in etc. However, after about 10 minutes of use it will just turn off and make a little 'zoip' noise or similar. Turning the laptop back on right after works, but I find that it will only stay on for about 4 minutes before doing the same. Turning it back on again reduces the time it stays on, sometimes not even going past the boot sequence.
However, if I leave it alone for a couple of hours and come back to it, it will stay on for about 10 minutes again, before going thru the same process.
I have a waranty, but I'm hesitant in taking my laptop in because I don't want to lose my files.
So I am hoping someone here has a fix for my problem :)

Sorry to said it but in my opinion its a hardware problem. This strange notebook behavior seems to be a simply overheating!
The notebook supports an overheating protection to prevent the hardware from the damage.
If the temperature increases to the higher level the notebook shuts down automatically. This is a fact and nothing unusual in such case.
Mostly the fan cleaning helps but sometimes the notebook must be opened for professional cleaning. But note: I dont recommend opening or removing any cases! You would lose the warranty!!!
Maybe a simple vacuuming would make the job.
Anyway, you said you will not lose the data on your HDD. Well, I wonder why you dont create an data backup You can also remove the HDD and connect it via external USB controller to the second PC and could save the files on the other HDD.
After this procedure you should put the HDD again into the notebook and try to reinstall the OS.
If it does not help I would recommend taking the warranty.

Lumia 1020 shut down

My lumia I got back in December before Christmas it worked great till the new update 8.1 came in I downloaded it three weeks ago an it worked fine till the next day.
I usually watch a video or u tube on the phone when a go to bed so I did an woke up an checked the time phone was off.
I left it to c if it would start again later but it never. Every morning I wake up an have to press all buttons on the side to get it on again. It always resets the date and time to 22 may at 3am and am never sure that when a go to check for msgs or missed calls later in the day if its going to be on if its not al press all buttons on side to switch it on again I have no other issues with the phone Av not downloaded anything in over a month so its nothing to do with that it was a great phone till I updated the software to 8.1

sarahleckie After updating your phone's software, did you also update its system apps? Go to Store > ... > downloads to check or scan the QR codes listed here: http://discussions.nokia.com/t5/Pool-of-Knowledge/Nokia-Windows-Phone-8-App-Updates/td-p/1640082. Try press and holding the volume down key and the power key at the same time for about 10 seconds until the phone vibrates. Monitor your phone's behavior after doing this fix. Let us know if there's any changes. This will not delete any of your personal files, but the date and time will change to the default values. If the automatic date and time setting is not supported by your operator, you need to set the correct date and time manually. Macbook shuts down right after update.

I downloaded the last update. When the Mac shut down and restarted to install the update.. The computer shuts down. Not sure what is going on. Hope someone can help

If your Mac is not starting up after installing an update, first try booting into Safe Mode:

Starting up in Safe Mode
To start up into Safe Mode (to Safe Boot), follow these steps.
Be sure your Mac is shut down.
Press the power button.
Immediately after you hear the startup tone, hold the Shift key.
The Shift key should be held as soon as possible after the startup tone, but not before the tone.
Release the Shift key when you see the gray Apple logo and the progress indicator (looks like a spinning gear).
After the logo appears, you should see a progress bar during startup. This indicates that your computer is performing a directory check as part of Safe Mode.
To leave Safe Mode, restart your computer without holding any keys during startup.

My macbook shuts down automatically after 30 seconds of inactivity

after immediately start up, maybe less than 30 seconds, the menu comes up asking if i want to restart/shutdown/sleep/cancel and if i don't cancel immediately the computer shuts down.
if i cancel, the menu shows up after about 30 seconds.
i have checked the energy saver prefs and everythign is set at 15 min.

Update: I found the problem in similar posts. Once I inserted the headphones completely in (no metal showing), the problem was resolved.

my n73 music edition gets shut down after some time autmatically please can anybody tell me the reason.

The reason is that nokia phones have many bugs and problems.
A common cause of this problem is 3G. If the phone is in a weak 3G area the loss of 3G signal can cause the phone to reboot. It's an old problem thats been affecting nokia's for years. Disabling 3G can stop the random shutdowns.
It may also be worth updating the phones firmware but this is a fairly risky procedure that can cause more problems than it solves.

Mbp shut down twice after updating to Yosemite

since the yosemite update from mavericks, my macbook pro 15" mid 2010 has been shutting down and rebooting by itself. at the pw login page before the os being loaded, soon it shuts down and reboots once again before the os can be loaded. (which means rebooting twice in a roll)

Go to the control panel and adjust the power settings. Start/Settings/Control Panel/Power settings. You can adjust the settings there.

My 3Gs Shut Down Right After updating

Jailbroken means the software has been modified. If the friend had jailbroken the device, it could be the reason for the error.
Follow the instructions from the support document. I've copied them here for you

If you have installed software to perform unauthorized modifications to your iOS device, that software may have redirected connections to the update server (gs.apple.com) within the Hosts file. Edit out the "gs.apple.com" redirect from your hosts file, and then restart the computer for the host file changes to take affect. Equium A60 shuts down automatically after 10min

My laptop TOSHIBA Equium A60, after 10 min of work it logs off because it seems to become very hot although the fan is working?

Hi I had the exact same problem
It was definitely overheating, unfortunately whoever designed the heat sink radiator didn't think about dust build-up!
I've owned mine for about a year and a half and recently (last 5-6 months) I noticed the fan running at full speed all the time, then during summer it overheated often, now that the weather is cooler I cant blame the sun!
So I went down the road brought a jewelers screwdriver set for next to nothing and started dis-assembling the laptop.
I first found some instructions off the net (print them out!), the trickiest part is to remember to get the three screws under the CD drive!.
Once I had it apart and removed the heat sink and fan it was immediately apparent what the problem was, the heat sink resembled a shag pile carpet!!!
I went down the road again and got a can of compressed air, blew the dust away, put it back together and hey presto, its hardly even warm!
Any fool can fix this problem, don't waste your money giving it to a technician who will charge you 70 per hour to fix it for you.

There is nothing significant in the log ..no exceptions/warnings.We are starting the weblogic on UNIX remote machine and logging is done to nohup.out.Below is the startWebLogic.sh

If you are unable to power on your iPhone you may want to troubleshoot using the steps in this article -
iPhone: Hardware troubleshooting

Specifically -
Will not turn on, will not turn on unless connected to power, or unexpected power off
Verify that the Sleep/Wake button functions. If it does not function, inspect it for signs of damage. If the button is damaged or is not functioning when pressed, seek service.
Check if a Liquid Contact Indicator (LCI) is activated or there are signs of corrosion. Learn about LCIs and corrosion.
Connect the iPhone to the iPhone's USB power adapter and let it charge for at least ten minutes.
After at least 30 minutes, if:
The home screen appears: The iPhone should be working. Update to the latest version of iOS if necessary. Continue charging it until it is completely charged and you see this battery icon in the upper-right corner of the screen . Then unplug the phone from power. If it immediately turns off, seek service.
The low-battery image appears, even after the phone has charged for at least 20 minutes: See "iPhone displays the low-battery image and is unresponsive" symptom in this article.
Something other than the Home screen or Low Battery image appears, continue with this article for further troubleshooting steps.
If the iPhone did not turn on, reset it while connected to the iPhone USB power adapter.

the thing is that when i did the clean install they did check with a hardware test first and nothing was wrong, i guess it was a false-positive, is there anything in the kernel report from which i can say it's either hardware or software related
