Lumia 1320 overheating

My lumia 1320 keeps overheating. After using an app that requires either gps and data usage or just some Game my phone shuts Down after 5-10minutes and is really hot. What is the problem?

Long press the back key to check applications running in the background. Swipe down or tap on the X mark to close the apps that you no longer need. You may also block apps by going to settings > battery saver > swipe left > recent battery usage > tap on any app to manage it. Hope this helps.

My lumia 1320 display has broken,,but the phone is still 100 percentage functional ,,,but there seems to be a lot of cracks on the display...so...what should i do???
should i replace display or digitizer or front glass screen lense cover...please help

Hi, as this is the official discussion forum, we cannot discuss warranty voiding actions such as self repair.
What I would suggest anyway, is that you bring it to a Nokia care point to have it repaired. It will cost you, but you get it professionally done.
    Good luck!

  • Lumia 1320 - one day old and hanging

I purchased a Lumia 1320 yesterday (to replace my Lumia 800). I have been using the phone without issues for the past 24 hours. I just finished configuring my data and apps, and it has started hanging.
I have reset the phone a couple of times (holding down the on button for 10 secs). it goes through a reboot, teases me by allowing me to navigate to anything I like, but once I get intyo the application (eg settings, wifi page) I cant get back - the home and back buttons dont function (although the phone vibrates), neither do the camera, on/off, search buttons do anything.
The only thing that does anything is another reset - and all that does is take me back to the same problem
I believe there is 350Mb of storage left on the phones onboard memory.
    Any suggestions? Thanks

Are you using external SD card? Probably an incompatible SD card could be causing these issues otherwise it could be a case of faulty device.

  • Lumia 1320 screen flickers.

I have a Lumia 1320 and I've noticed a slight flicker on the screen. The flicker occurs only when the screen's brightness is low, no matter what I'm doing on the phone. It flickers even on glance screen. After some research online, I found that other people have this problem aswell. Is this software or hardware related? Is my device faulty?
I found a video demonstrating the same issue but on another device. The flicker is the exact same on my L 1320.
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=slwkFhpiYbs
You can see the flicker clearly at 0:15 sec. It is more noticeable off camera.
After some research online, I found that its not an issue only on 1320 but on other devices aswell.  Cmon Nokia, this phone has been on market for over a year. Issues like this should be fixed already. What should I do? Should I go on Nokia Care Center and ask for a new device? Screen replacement?

The thing is though that from what I've read online other people have this issue aswell. Which means that I don't have a faulty device. Which leads to the conclusion that it's either software related or a general hardware issue of all (or at least a batch) of L1320. Either way, this device has been on the market for over a year. Shouldn't this issue have already been addressed?
I've read on another forum that a fellow owner of a L1320 with the same issue changed his screen twice on Nokia Care Center, and the device still had the issue.
PS: Nokia Support replied to me this morning on the e-mail that I've sent them regarding this issue. You won't believe what they told me in response: "Set the display brightness to high to stop having this issue". Unbelievable.

  • Lumia 1320 upgrading problem

    hi guys
a month ago i've bought a nokia lumia 1320 from a local store in iran.but when i want to upgrade it to cyan wp8.1 it says your phone is already updated.now the problem is when i checked the microsft for my phone version (3056.40200.1407.10443) i found somthing similar 3056.40200.1407.2 which was for o2 in germany. but manufacturer name on my phone is rm-994-im-mea3-1150 which is for meadle east... and mobile operator is 000-ir which i couldn't find any info about this operator.i'm really confused.wanna know if i can upgrade my firmware or not????!!!! my software is lumia black and os versian is 8.0.10.521.155. also hardware revision number is 2(i don't know what are these)
if anyone can help me with that, any suggustion would be appreciated.....thanks.

That code determines the firmware variant you have. It is the identification number of that ‘im-mea3-1150 … 000-ir’ stuff you see in the menu. 059V7J9 is the generic country-variant for Iran which explains 000-ir as operator. Lumia Black is the latest firmware version for this firmware variant. To get Windows Phone 8.1 (Lumia Cyan), you would need another firmware variant.

  • NOKIA LUMIA 1320: Thai ROM no 4G

    Hi there,
Just a quick one, I bought a Lumia 1320 on ebay and somehow found out that the phone has a Thai ROM, which in itself it's not a problem but I'm just wondering if, being in the UK, this can impact the phone usage.
And eventhough I have a 4G SIM / contract, the phone doesn't offer me the option to go 4G
Is there any point in installing a UK ROM?
If so, how do I do it?
    Thanks.

IMO, this whole idea of disabling 4G on certain devices is stupid.
When i purchase an operator unlocked phone, I should be able to use it with any operator anywhere in the world.
Disabling the 4G option in "max connection speed", is not doing any good is it?
What damage could it cause anyway.
If the country/ network operator doesn't provide 4G, and yet the user stupidly selects 4G in max connection speed, the phone would simply fall back to 3G (or even 2G)
But the converse is not true. If the user moves to a country which has 4G, he cannot select 3G as max speed and expect the phone to automatically jump to 4G.
I say, if the hardware is capable of doing something, then you should give it to the user.
This is classic Windows. It does the same on the computer too!
The Windows 8.1, and the Windows 8.1 Pro, are the same operating systems.
Depending on the product key used, features are locked in the standard version
The actual explanation for this, not the pub-argument version, is the following:
When using a 4G/LTE enabled phone in countries where 4G/LTE networks are not yet deployed or still under construction, there may be issues with calls, SMS, or data connection. In worst cases the phone SIM may be rejected by the network.
In line with this, when a Lumia is purchased in a country where 4G/LTE network is not yet enabled by the operator, the devices are be shipped pre-configured to 3G network connectivity to avoid these problems.
If 4G/LTE networks become available later, it is possible to enable the capability with an over-the-air software update. However, unfortunately there is no information on when this particular over the air software update may become available for a specific device.

  • Nokia Lumia 1320 & Hyundai Tucson HiFi

Can someone please help me with the following problem?
Lumia 1320 pairs with vehicle apparently with no problem. Calls attempted from the phone book in the car's hifi system will not connect.  If a call is initiated directly from the phone then everything works correctly with all sound coming though the hifi unit.  I have been into the Bluetooth settings in the phone using the "advanced" button to use the "connect in a different way to use speech with bluetooth in my car" option, this did enable one call to be placed through the hifi unit, but the unit has reverted to as described above.
My local Hyundai dealership has shed no light on the matter and the reseller of the phone has not been much help either.

The CAR probably uses or is set to use SAP which is not supported by Windows Phone. SAP will basically tie in the phone SIM to the cellular in the car itself. You need to use PBAP for the car to read and use the phone phonebook, then use the car controls to dial using the phone and have it stream the audio back and forth to/from the car.

  • Lumia 1320 - Data Connectivity Lapses

my Lumia 1320 usually connects to Mobile Data instantly when started, but sometimes it just won't connect.
With trial & error I found that when Wifi is ON, it just keeps on searching for Wifi so I have to always switch it off, also when not connecting, I have to activate flight mode & then de-activate again for mobile data to connect.
Still this doesn't always work, are there any other options to try?!!
    Using Nokia Lumia 1320.
    Also have Nokia E72 & Nokia N8.

  • Nokia lumia 1320 off and continuously vibrating.

I bought Nokia lumia 1320, 5 days back. On 3rd day when I took phone, I saw it was contineously vibrating. I tried to unlock but no responce. It keeps vibrating. That is like off and vibrating. I did a soft reset by pressing volume down and power button. It restarted and worked fine. After one day same problem again happened. I again soft reset it. Today also it happened. Is this a hardware problem or software ? Anybody else facing the issue ? Any solution ?

I contacted shop and they agreed to replace my mobile. But I think the issue was when I used IM+ and Skype and when I get messages. When we close thses apps and we get messages as push notifications. I think not all but some of these push notifications are causing the issue. I don't know if this is present with all windows os.

  • Nokia Lumia 1320 does not recognize media files properly

    Hello
I have the following problem with my Nokia Lumia 1320:
media files (either music or video) are not recognized properly and therefore seen in "other" section of Storage.
There has been a discussion here a while ago here:
    https://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/042cc9fb-ea9e-444c-98f0-8c1d0930e326/sd-card-problem-with-my-nokia-lumia-1320-unable-to-use-it-properly?forum=winphoneosissues
But my problem is in fact that media files are not recognized even on the phone itself which is very surprising.
I have tried several ways to copy the files over:
    - Win Explorer on Win XP
    - Win Explorer on Win 8
    - special app on Win 8
    with the same result.
Moreover, sometimes the files are not read by the official Music app with the following odd errors:
    - 80070002
    - 80070003
Even more problems occur with the SD Card:
some files fail to be transferred there and disappear after the phone restart. I have tried the ways above to copy these files with no luck.
I have also tried both hard and soft phone reset, formatted SD Card via phone and PCs.
    The problems described still persist.
Does anyone have ideas/ways to fix those problems?
The phone is really nice but it's pretty annoying to meet these problems.
Interestingly, my previous WPs (HTC 7 Trophy and HTC 8X) didn't have a half of the problems described above. Bad luck...
    Details of my phone are:
    - Nokia Lumia 1320
    - OS: 8.10.12393.890
    - Region Set: United Kingdom

  • Nokia Lumia 1320 Wifi error Could Not Connect To T...

    Hi,
I'm having trouble with my phone connecting with my Wifi router model Netgear WNAP210 Router, when I type the password in it says either that it is unable to connect or sometimes that the password is incorrect!!
I have contacted Netgear and they suggested changing the router name to remove any underscore symbols "_", I did this today but still get this annoying message on the phone.
I've tried deleting found connections and starting from scratch and have also amended the router name (which shows correctly when scanning for Wifi on the Nokia). Now it's starting to get me really wound up....please please help?
    Thanks,
    Adam.

Hi, AdamTh. Make sure that your phone's software and system apps are updated. You should see 'Lumia Cyan' under Settings> extras+info to confirm that you have the latest software update. For your system apps, go here: http://discussions.nokia.com/t5/Pool-of-Knowledge/Nokia-Windows-Phone-8-App-Updates/td-p/1640082. After checking that, you can visit this link: Nokia Lumia 1320 - Troubleshooter and try the workarounds listed. The link is intended for the US. Keep us posted. By the way, welcome to our forum.

  • Lumia 1320 - CV version?

I have a Lumia 1320 purchased in Romania, country variant, yet it's not updating to Denim version - no developer preview is used in this case. My L1320's version is:
    RM-994_eu_euro2_1196,
    core build ID: 3058.50000.1424.10478.
    Product code: 059V7S1
    Mobile operator: 000-33
Even if the Denim update is available on Microsoft's pages, I am not able to download it not even through Windows Phone Recovery Tool - this states that I have the latest available version (3058.50000.1424.0001):
    http://www.microsoft.com/en/mobile/support/software-update/wp8-software-update/availability-in-europ...
    http://www.microsoft.com/ro-ro/mobile/suport/produs/lumia1320/softwareupdate/
I have received an answer from @Lumiahelp on twitter that my phone actually is from a different zone, not Romania - but they didn't wanted to provide me as well with the actual country for which this phone was developed.
Is there any way to find out this info, based on IMEI or RM version?
Or is there any way to change the actual software from the phone to use the Romania's CV?

Some of the lower-cost models like the Lumia 1320 don't always have CV or "Country Variant" versions for each individual country, to save costs they have a CV variant that covers a group of countries in a certain geographical area, and that is the case for the product code that you mention, a quick internet search shows:
    059V7S1: RM-994 VAR EURO 9T CV
In cases like this, the information in the phone cannot pin down the phone's intended country, so the only way it can be checked is via Microsoft's systems, which would be able to identify which country it was intended for sale in. I don't see a reason why they are not willing to tell you the country, they should at least be able to tell you where the phone has warranty (though as long as it is from an EU country, you will be covered).

  • Lumia 1320 Crash problem

Yesterday, I got a brand-new Lumia 1320 that came with cellular service plan from a telecom provider in my country.
It was working fine until this morning, I was charging it via USB connection to my Windows 7 PC when it suddenly "crashed", showing random vertical colorful lines on the screen that changes from time to time. The back, start, and search panels stopped working. I could turn off the screen and it would show the normal turned off screen, but when I try to unlock it, I can't.
I wasn't able to take a picture of it because I panicked and restarted my device right away.

    Hi
Even I suffered the same problem. I was out and when I checked my phone it was switched off. I tried to switch on by pressing the power key but it dint start. After a while it started and colorful vertical lines came up. After that I pressed power key many times and finally the phone started but many settings were changed. I am so panicky
