Lumia 520 can't free memory

When I'm running memory ttool it only shows animation of processing but not the result. I'm waiting approximately for ten minutes but nothing changes. I'm think the reason is many temporary files of applications, but I can't to remove they because memory application doesn't works appropriately. What can I do to clean temporary files without computer?

If you want to reduce the size of the SGA, you could reduce initialization parameters that are taken into account to size the SGA: see the the Concepts Guide.
The statements that you have mentionned do no reduce the size of the SGA allocated at OS level but only flush or empty the related caches.

I also have been annoyed by this problem, but I do not think there is a way to get around it. The only thing that I think you can do is to find the song you want to delete on your playlist, and then find it under "all songs" and delete it from there. Once you delete from all songs, it will also get deleted from your playlist. But simply deleting a song from a playlist does not delete it from your iPod, which explains why you are not getting memory back.
PS: In case you want to select multiple songs to delete (or copy, etc...) , if you hold control ("ctrl" on your keyboard) while clicking on songs, it will keep those songs highlighted. For example if you press and hold ctrl and then click song "a", then (while still holding ctrl) scroll down and select song "f", they will both be highlighted, and you will be able to delete both of them at the same time.

What connection did you use when you updated your phone? Is it cellular data connection or Wi-Fi? Have you tried contacting your operator about this? Try to remove and reinsert your SIM and then reboot your phone. When I got my phone. It's restart sometime without any notice or reason.I am amazed that how many time it's happen to me.
I haven't use it too much from that day it's happen so I can't confirm that it has been solved or not.
Now I see that my phone's Volume down key not work . My up key work fine but not down. Someone tell me how to get fixed it. How I can got this trouble solved.

Firstly as the phone is new you will certainly have a warranty so it can be replaced or repaired free of change via the retailer where it was purchased or at a Nokia Care Point. As for button function, check the back of the phone is fitted correctly, I had an issue with a button catching but refitting the back properly solved the issue. For your main problem, use the warranty.

Lumia 520 can't send text mesages

I've only had th ephone a couple of days - it is my first smart phone - and I am still very much feeling my way with it, but I can't understand why it has sent some text messges but not others. Ihave tried texting 5 of my contacts. 2 went OK, but on each of theother three I got 'can't send' message with no explanation s to why they can't be sent. I hit the 'try agin' time after time, but with no joy. Any ideas why, please? If the phone won't send texts it makes it pretty pointless.

The forum emails are sent from noreply @ microsoft.com - it is not possible to reply to those. This is normal.
For the stubborn phone numbers, did you follow the advice and clean up any brackets, dashes, periods, commas and white space in the numbers, and preferably add the country code also?
Let's take an example from Microsoft Denmark and hope they don't mind too much ...

The number is listed on the page in an ugly mix of local and international formatting as (45) 44 89 0100
Both 44 89 01 00 and 44890100 works in Denmark, but the proper formatting on the phone is +4544890100
- which works both inside Denmark and from anywhere in the world. Everything in one string, without white-space etc. also makes it a lot easier to transfer the numbers to other devices later
The lack of proper formatting of phone numbers is also a common cause of calls and texts not being recognized as coming from an existing contact. So I still advice to clean up and format the numbers properly on https://people.live.com/ and sync - first the non-working ones, and the rest on a rainy day, if there are many.

I got a plantronics M50 Bluetooth headset and my Lumia 520 can't find it. Why won't it connect? Its works for my other devices that have Bluetooth.

Are you able to connect another Bluetooth headset to the 520? Disable the Bluetooth on both devices and enable them. Check if the phone will be able to find the Bluetooth headset this time. You may refer to below link for the Plantronics M50 user manual.

Free memory after TDMS logging

Hi, how can I free memory after reading TDMS files. I haev a very big TDMS file that contains 17000000 digital samples, after reading the data and graphing it I would like to delete it from memory because it is no longer needed. I have noticed I should close LabVIEW to free that space. Is there any way to free that memory after reading and plotting?

LabVIEW wil take care of the memory management. Thus, there is no explicit way for you to free memory in LabVIEW. In fact, I don't think you should do that by yourself. LabVIEW has quite good memory optimation strategy and it wll track all the memory usage in your VI and reuse/free memory when there is no reference to it. As for TDMS, once the data is read out from the TDMS VIs, there will be no additional data copy inside.

Can not copy from PC (win7) to Lumia 520

last night i was about to copy a file from my netbook (win7) to my memory card that in my lumia 520, but everytime i tried to copy it, the explorer on my netbook became not responding and need to be restrart. can someone tell me what's wrong and how to fix it ?

yes it is normal, the phone only checks for app updates every few days or so, so the updates will appear eventually. if you are concerned, you can search for the particulra app in the Store manually, and it will tell you if there is an update or not.
as such, there is no option to manually check for updates in the Store. you can leave feedback over with Microsoft at http://windowsphone.uservoice.com

Nokia Lumia 520 offline maps can not be downloaded...

I had downloaded offline maps earlier on my Nokia Lumia 520 and they worked very well. But after resetting my phone to original setings (which deleted all the previously downloaded map), I can no more use them. When I try to download offline maps, it gets stuck on 10% or something like that and then says "We can't reach maps library at the moment. Make sure flight mode is turned off and check your and mobile data or WiFi connection, then try again.".
Tring to resolve this, I had already done following things-
1. Again reset the phone
2. Soft reset the phone
3. Updated the HERE MAPS and HERE DRIVE
4. Tried downloading it from settings > Applications > maps > download maps
5. And lastly I was using WiFi for downloading and my Flight mode was off
I need this feature working on my phone at the earliest.
Please suggest a solution for this asap, NOKIA!!!

Hi, kanishkk. Glad to hear that you're now able to download your map data. Based on the information presented, the issue can be on your connection. If the same issue occurs, try to download using your cellular data to further isolate the issue.

Can't play the video in my Lumia 520

I always love the work of nokia and this time trailer app is just Nice but there's a problem.
I have downloaded 6 trailers and only 1 is able to play.
Rest of them says "sorry we can't play this video on your phone".
I have no idea what's wrong with my phone.
Please help.

What is the error message displayed when you try playing the video? Have you tried using mobile data? If yes, does it show the same issue? What fixes have you tried so far? By the way, are you using the same phone model?

YES, that is the free 5GB icloud memory for each apple ID. Can I not add the free 5Gb of my second Iphone to my original apple ID (5GB also) as I want to use one Apple ID name on both 2 Iphones? Is it necessary to have a different apple ID for the second Iphone to avail the free 5GB it carries with it?

You can do this - by not doing it the way You describe as it will not work.
a. the external hard disk - MUST BE - Mac OS extended (hfs) formatted -
UNIX/DOS/FAT32/Mac OS Exchange - will work for most things - BUT NOT FOR VIDEO (iMovie, iDVD or FinalCut doesn't matter)
b. Do not alter or move any folder named
• iMovie Event's - or -
• iMovie Project's
on DeskTop/Finder - at all
All moving's of Events and Projects must be done within the iMovie Application - then connections will not break.
(move them back and see if iMovie remembers them - then do move as described above)
