Hi ,
On my Lumia 520 internal memroy is full , I m not able to install more apps , games and all .
can you please guide me how to change the app and games location on SD card , as i have lots of space in my SD card .

You cannot install apps on SD card, but you can move photos, videos and music files to SD card. Select SD card from Settings->Phone storage, then copy your files to SD card using your PC.
The silence will fall

I have this lumia 520 and yesterday after watching hoards of videos on youtube i discovered in storage check that media and files has reached 2.6 gb and i don't know how! as I have an 8 gb micro sd for storing media and internal memory has no media. now I m left with only 2 gb of free space in internal memory. what is happening? and yes! i do not download videos from youtube. here is a pic attached.

I noted from your screenshot that you are using the built-in storage check app but you can install the Lumia storage check app from Beta labs that also allows you to move map data from the internal storage to an SD card to free up a bit more space.

My N900 internal memory is full

I am Nelson Lobo and I possess the nokia n900. I simply love the phone but now its giving some problems
I have been installing apps and uninstalling them to save space. However I find that even though i uninstall the apps, the free memory space keeps on getting lesser and lesser. That means these apps leave some files behind even after being uninstalled.
Now I have very less internal memory and even though i have uninstalled all teh other unnecessary apps, it is still showing me memory low.
So was thinking of flashing my N900 (the internal memory). Pls can you suggest what can I do to empty the internal memory

you may have residual data left as you suggest. but man....that is a lot of data if you are just installing applications. not sure you could really be using all of them.
follow my direction in the top12 thread that is sticky on the top of the maemo board.
also, you can try the talk.maemo.org board. many gurus there.

Why can't i access my Lumia Phone memory after connecting to windows 8 laptop.

you will need to use an adobe reader. there are three that are reletively the same with a couple diferent options.

Why does the internal memory shows red?

When I connect my iPhone to my computer and I go into the phone itself, the internal memoy bar is in red and shows that I have a little over 1 gig of memory left. Why is it in red? Hasn't been that way except for the last week?

Open iTunes and figure out what is taking up space on the device.
The only reason that one would have for accessing the device via "My Computer" would be to copy pictures taken with the device to the computer.

I restored my phone and it's doing it again as I'm typing. I have to shut down the phone and turn it on again a few times for the battery indicator to show the correct charge.
Another issue that I've been seeing since the 3.0 update is my service indicator constantly showing "searching" even though i can make calls. For this to be corrected I have to either 1. shut down my phone and turn it back on or 2. place it on "airplane" mode then turn "airplane" mode off.

I'm not very tech-savvy. My iPhone is backed up on my computer and all my photos are in my computer. I'm going to send it away to have the screen fixed and the people from AppleCare recommended to back it up just in case. So, I am going to backup my computer for the first time since I bought it in mid 2011. I go see how much space I need and I see that I only have 15 GB of memory space left and this huge space being used up by "Other". I don't know if its because I updated it to Mavericks. How can I see what that is? Also, I've never downloaded movies so I don't know why that is also there. Please help ASAP!

"Other" is everything that isn't in one of the other categories. For instance, it includes all your user documents that are not movie, audio, or photo files.
Regardless of that, you need to use an external drive at least large enough to backup your entire user folder (the one with a House icon). Better is to get one at least as large as your built-in drive & use something like Carbon Copy Cloner or SuperDuper! to clone the whole built-in drive to it.

N81 Internal Memory

Hi, i posted last month that my phones internal memory is full even though all data has been moved the memory card and all contacts/texts go there as well but i keep getting memory full warnings every couple of minutes.
Can anyone please help before i throw the phone under a bus!!!
Ive been in the application manager and moved all items to the memory card and deleted the rubbish and have even tried to reset to factory settings but that doesnt help! my memory says the following:

94KB FREE MEMORY
4KB CALENDAR
33KB CONTACTS
15KB MESSAGES
0B IMAGES
Im confused as to why messages and contacts show here when they are on the memory card as well as the messages. How can i tell what the 25MB in use is when the file manager says there is nothing on the internal memory??

Memory in use usually includes the OS as well as other functions, in your case as you are showing only 94Kb free, if you are certain that there are no apps running that are hogging resources, try backing up your personal data with PC Suite and reformatting the phone.

Force Spotify to use internal memory.

Hi there, community! Was wondering, if there is a way to force Spotify save songs to my internal storage, not the external (that was chosen by default, because it has more space)?I tried clearing the cache, restarting phone and removing my SD card, downloaded songs to my internal storage, it works. Once I put my SD card back in, it shows that there are no songs downloaded even though my internal memory is full with songs? Is there a way to force Spotify read music from my internal memory, not external? Would be glad to find out! With Love,Kukijs

You've already taken the logical steps which is awesome!
At the moment Spotify will save songs to the SD card rather than Internal Storage automatically. I am suprised it doesn't show up when downloaded to internal already though.

Hello....im using lumia 720...my internal memory is full...like other memory is almost 3GD,..how could i delete the other memory!! Thanks!!

PLease use the search function as this is a very often asked and answered question.
SHort;
Use Storage checker to clear out temp space and remember that any app which downloads from the internet will keep these files on 'other' storage. You can only remove these files through those apps (YouTube downloader/UC browser and so on..)

Brightness Slider for Lumia 520 with cyan?

I officially updated my Lumia 520 to cyan and was searching for Brightness & Tint slider. Where is the Brightness & Tint slider under display setting? Has it been properly updated or I missed out something? I saw this feature in Lumia 630 which was running cyan update.

Thank you for your reply, as you mentioned I checked under Settings > Display and I got 3 option under it, Sunlight readability, Battery saver brightness, and Colour profile, under Colour profile > Colour temperature & Colour saturation Sliders. My all system apps are up to date including display app, but I am not getting Brightness profile and tint option under it. Is the brightness profile option available to Lumia 520? If yes then why my lumia 520 doesn't show it? I have attached my Lumia 520 display setting screenshots, just have a look.

How to connect Lumia 520 to Zune

i've recently bought a new nokia lumia 520.
the phone is amazing!
On my pc i have windows xp service pack 3
i installed zune and connected the mobile to pc but zune is not detecting it.
how do i connect the 520 to zune?

you don't use zune for wp8.
just connect your device with a usb cable to your pc and it should auto--detect, then auto-install the drivers and then you can just go to "My Computer" and you will see "Lumia 520"
it will show up as a drive and you can just drag and drop mp3/docs/etc to your device now.

I have downloaded firefox beta version on my galaxy y it shows that it installed on memory card but it occupy space on my internal memory why?

why is it so big when opera mini is so small and efficient.
is it works on downloading like ucweb does.

hello atuljains, unlike opera mini firefox for android is a full-fledged browser and contains its own rendering engine. firefox uses as little RAM and storage as possible but there are limits & its requirements are similar to those of other full browsers like chrome or opera (not the mini version).
