Lumia 521 Bricked was there an update pushed 2 days ago

I had a lumia 521 with developer preview, I hadn't done anything new to it and all of a sudden phone completely died. When i plug it in to the charger it tries to boot shows the nokia splash and than goes to the battery sign.
Here is what I have tried so far:
1. Replaced old battery with a new battery.
2. Tried charging with a new charger.
3. Tried Nokia Recovery Tool.
4. Tried calling nokia support but couldn't get in touch with someone who can even understand the basic issue
So far all the things I have tried have failed and the phone doesn't want to start, when not plugged in it is completely dead. When plugged in via wall charger or connected to computer via usb it boots but is stuck at the battery sign. At this point I am
assuming some update got pushed and just killed the phone. I was in the process of ordering a 1520.3 but had to cancel that pending this issue. I understand using the developer preview comes with risks but it is completely unacceptable that a update gets pushed
that would result in a unrecoverable device.

Was there an update that may be effected by expanded RAM?

Both my girlfriend and my computers had swapped the RAM in them, and in the same evening, after restarting they stopped working. When swapping the old RAM back in, they worked again. Was there an update that would have caused this error to occur?

The ram specs for a both those machines are:
204-pin PC3-8500 (1066 MHz) DDR3 SO-DIMM
So the swap should have worked. Perhaps you didn't seat the dimms properly when you tried it. Was it a one-to-one swap? And why swap at all?

Are the ports of your computer working fine? Did you try other devices? Are you still using the sony reader software/reader for PC/MAC?

I recently formatted my computer. In other words, I'm not using too much memory of my HD. My Memory Ram is 8GB.

Umm,, no offence... but what is ridiculous... is you didn't troubleshoot the original problem but instead you assumed it was a LP9 problem so you updated to LPX which is still in its early days and is likely to be less stable than LP9... rather than more so!
So.. Here's the thing....
LP9 was working fine and then stopped working normally according to you. Therefore what changed at the time LP9 stopped working normally?
Here are just a few ideas to think about.. for around the time this started..
Did you update Logic Pro 9... OS X... Drivers for Midi/Audio or other connected devices?
If you did, did you then restore from a backup you made prior to these problems occuring and what happened when you did so? (assuming you do make backups of your system?)
Did you install any new Apps on your Mac?
Did you add a new Hard Drive? How is it formatted?
Did you start recording or creating music in a different way to how you used to before the problem started?
Have you started using a different SI or FX plugin or plugins.. More or different FX for example.. Did you install a new version of a plugin?
Is all your software legal? (Have to ask because some people install all kinds of illegal plugins and whatever else.. and have no idea how the 'cracks' work or what they might affect/mess up/conflict with in the process)
Have you looked at the System logs to see if anything is happening out of the ordinary when you get these messages?
Have you looked at OS X's Activity monitor to see if any app or routine is kicking in hard when you get this issue?
Basically, you need to think about and look for what changed... because something apparently changed to suddenly cause these issues...given you said you didn't have them until a certain timeframe and some of the questions above, I hope, will get you thinking..
....and maybe a few of the others here will come up with other ideas and suggestions to help you...

If it is passcode protected, then it is very unlikely that anyone woul both have the knowledge and take the time to try and break the code.
They would very likely restore teh ipod and use it as their own.

Java update (3 days ago) won't let me play yahoo games anymore. I've tried moving java security to Medium and adding web address as "permissive use". Still nothing. I'd really like a fix. Really, apple? What's your beef with yahoo games?

all of the older update versions of Java SE 7 can be found here. If 7u45 also didn’t work with your Yahoo! games, you can choose from any of the even older versions there as well.

Locked on an update can mean a couple of different things. So there are a number of things to try, but start with these.
If you have a "waiting" icon, try tapping on the icon and see if you can pause the update/download. Of it pauses, tap on it again and see if it will resume.
Try holding down on the icon until all of the icons on the screen wiggle. If the X to delete pops up on the waiting/stalled app - tap the X to delete the app. Tao,the home button and the apps will stop wiggling.
You can also try this and see if the downloads will resume. Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

Find the old Aperture library in the Finder and double click it to launch Aperture with that library set to the default.
And check your caps look key. It appears to be stuck.

You probably have 2 versions of Pages on your Mac.
Pages 5 in your Applications folder, will open Pages '09 files but will alter/damage them. It can not open Pages '08 files.
Pages '08/'09 in your Applications/iWork folder which can not open Pages 5 files.
When you were shutting down you probably had an unsaved document open.
You probably are opening the wrong versions of Pages to open the wrong document format.
Pages 5 has had over 90+ features removed.
Most users are going back to Pages 09 whilst Apple sorts this out.

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Seventy one is correct, you need to take this up with the manager of the store.
Ultimately, if the guy who handled the return at the store didn't enter it into the system correctly, or if the paperwork was somehow lost, or anything else along those lines, your refund receipt is the only thing you have proving that they owe you money. If you have lost that receipt, it's quite possible that you will have lost the money that it represents.
Go to the store. Talk to the manager. Try to recall which person at the store handled the return, and see if they remember you. Be polite but insistent, and remember that without the receipt, you are depending on those people to help you out.

Hi cb-anc! Thank you for replying to my question. The Library application has disappeared,not the library folder. I went into the application a couple of days ago to trash some plist files and now the application has disappeared. I haven't upgraded to Lion but am still on now Leopard.

To delete an App you don't want, hold your finger on the app until it starts to jiggle. You'll see an X on the app whle it's jiggling. Touch the X and the app will be removed off your device. It will still be yours however, and it can be downloaded again from the cloud at any time you want.
