I send pictures n music via Bluetooth when i search for them on my phone I cant find them.....please help.

Hi, 69maru4. Welcome to Microsoft Mobile Community! Normally, pictures sent via Bluetooth will be saved under photos and same as for the music files, it will be saved under music app. Does this happen to all music and pictures you receive via Bluetooth connection? Also, are you using an SD card on your phone?

I have a new windows phone Nokia lumia 530. In trying to set it up I accidentally put a typo in my email address.I have done a use a different address as your primary alias, yesterday by making a new outlook account. However, I can't get the security code.
Every time I try to download anything, including Cortata it tries to send it to the email address that doesn't exist.

Hi,
This is the incorrect forum however I have had this issue myself
The issue is based on the Microsoft live account verification, if you created a new Microsoft Live account while registering the phone or registering for a new store account you will need to log into the windows live website with the same credentials and
verify/validate the account.
Once done, power off the device completely, then power it back on and you should be good to go :)

Display/Screen Glitches on Lumia 530! Please help

Hello team,
I had purchased Lumia 530 last week and until today morning (24th Aug), I see white lines/dangling display all over!
I'm surprised over the glitches and I havent installed/deleted any app.. White lines are evident below the navigation bar too (below the back arrow and windows key). Please find the images below.
It seems to be a handset problem.. Please help me.

Good day, sagarji. Welcome to the Nokia Support Discussions! Are there any applications installed on your Lumia 530 before this issue came up? Does this happen to all applications whether downloaded on preinstalled ones? Before the apps crashes or kicks you out, does the phone show any error message?
Try rebooting your phone by pressing and holding the power button for 10 seconds until it restarts. This won't delete anything in your device, but you may need to re-set up the phone's date and time settings.

This error code appears when trying to download an app from the Store and is caused by incomplete information in your Microsoft account profile. Aside from the recommendations given by the community, you can also consider checking these options:
Option 1: Check if your account needs attention: Go to Settings > email+accounts. Tap and hold on Microsoft account and select sync. If it says "attention required", tap on it and follow the instructions to verify your email address.
Option 2: Browse to https://account.live.com, sign in using your Microsoft account email address. If your email address is not verified, simply click the verify your email address link and you will receive an email from the Microsoft account team with instructions on verifying your address.

Lumia 530 update

Hi all,
a while ago there was new update available to Lumia 530. It requires minimum 1,1G free space.
Phone is just recently bought and has only 2 additional applications installed, Facebook and WhatsApp.
All photos and other data has been deleted, but still there is only around 770M free space and update cannot be done.
Even if FB and WA would be moved to memory card or deleted, there would not be enough space for update.
How can this be, how to proceed with update?

From this update onwards, updates should be downloadable to memory card, in the meantime you will may have to use the software recovery tool to apply this update. Make sure you have all your pictures, videos and music first to your computer or OneDrive.
Your contacts are safe in your Microsoft Account, as long as you have the back-up options switched on your settings and app list and SMS messages are also safe - these can be restored as part of the initial start-up process after the software recovery,

Lumia 530 : Apps on Sdcard inactive

Hello everyone,I bought my Lumia 530 two weeks ago and inserted a sd card of 16 Gb . It supports everything except apps. I formatted my sd card and reset my phone and then I was able to store apps on my sd card but after one day all apps on my sd card are inactive and only apps stored are active and working properly. As Lumia 530 has only 4 Gb internal memory I need to store more apps on my sd card. Please help me what to do.
Now new apps are only downloaded on my phone memory.
please help me to solve this problem.

Facebook app issue - lumia 530

I have an issue with my facebook app not updating as u scroll down news feed and group pages
It's not an ipv6 issue as I have a virgin media SH2 router and only ipv4 capability. All other phones/tablets run fb apps fine (ios and android). Issue is only on the lumia - it's not only on wifi - issue remains on hdsp+ also.
Are there any settings on the phone I could try - or anyone else got the same issue.

If you haven't tried checking if there's an available update for the Facebook app, here are the steps: go to Store > search for the Facebook app > tap the Update button if there's an update. BTW, are you able to see the News Feed and group pages when using the phone's browser?

NOKIA LUMIA 530 - TYPING / BATTERY /

I am facing the following problems , Purchased from amazon and delivered 3 days back
1.WhatsApp typing giving error , after space I cant type , even Cant delete . Same typing problem in Facebook status also ....!!
2.Phone is getting unusually Hot within 25minutes ....!!!
3.Battery life only 3-4 hrs specially when data On ...!!!

The phone will get hot with continued use and as its new the battery will take time to settle so it will improve in time,you perhaps might want to reset the device and start over again.

Nokia Lumia 530 backup problem (Using Windows 8.1)

My phone has suddenly stopped backing up, even though it keeps telling me it hasn't been backed up for some time, and needs to be backed up. When I tell it to back up, it gets to about 99%, and then I get the message "there was a problem backing up your settings. Try again later." What exactly does "later" mean? I've been trying at various times of the day every day for about 4-5 weeks now. From what I've read on the internet, this does appear to be quite a widespread problem.
Other things I have tried:
Turning the phone off and back on again.
Unchecking the "Apps back up" button
Uchecking the "Settings back up" button
Checking both backup buttons again
Deleting previous back ups using my phone
Logging into One Drive on my laptop and manually deleting previous backups
Changing the screen time out on my phone to 15 minutes (as opposed to 1 minute)
Making sure I have a good phone and wifi signal, and having the phone plugged into the charger
None of this has had any effect!!!!
The strange thing is that when I go onto One Drive, it tells me that it did back up (I've only got the one phone, so there's no chance I'm getting confused between phones.)
Please does anyone have any advice? Also, is there a way of telling my phone to automatically back up at regular intervals, eg once a week, or once a month, so I don't have to keep thinking about it?

Hi, TulaTheQuang. Have you tried rebooting your phone by pressing the power and volume down keys simultaneously for 10-15 seconds? Also, check if all system apps on your phone are up to date. Go to Settings> applications> store> check for updates. Check if you will be able to successfully backup your files.

Cant install updates on my lumia 530

I bought this device with the belief that I would get all the new updates (the commercial itself says that) but the update I trying to install takes 1.1 GB of the phone internal storage, and the system part takes 3.1 gb already, so I can't really install anything!

For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.
The section Install missing components has advice on breaking down the iTunes installer into the individual .msi files which might prove useful if AAS won't install normally.

Why is it that I can't upload photos in facebook and I can't download apps??I bought the phone for the use of some cool apps and yet it can't do such stuff?

We'd love to help. Let's isolate the issue. Are you unable to upload photos using both the Facebook application and the browser? Are you getting any error message? By the way, you're unable to download any apps, correct? Is there any error message or code when downloading apps from the Store? Are you still being asked to set up My Family even though you are already signed in? Did you set it up this way: My Family? By the way, it's also best to check if you have a stable internet connection. Try browsing other websites or access any internet-based apps. If you're using cellular data, try switching to Wi-Fi or vice versa.
