I am not able to browse the net using gprs but its fine with WiFi. Please help.

Go to the Marketplace and look for an app called Network Setup. If it is available, download install and run. Then restart your phone and see if it connects.

Hello everyone,
Like many of you I also had a lot of problems with my nokia 610 connecting to the internet via grps or even 3g
The idea support staff are d*** heads. And they have no idea about it.
I went to the Nokia store and this what solved the problem
APN settings,
APN - idea internet
leave everything else blank
Choose fastest speed as E if you are on gprs or 3g if you are on 3G
I generally keep the don't roam option.
That's it.
internet works
pop emails work
gmail works
people app works fine
downloads work fine
The speed that you get depends upon the pack and network range.
This worked. Sometimes the net doesn't work, but I turn on and off the data connection and everything is fine again.
Hope it helps. Am using the 98 monthly gprs pack as of now for test basis.
Let me know how it goes for everyone.

The network setup is updated as well. So you can input the apn information and gprs will work.
No need to reset your phone.

Nokia lumia 610 shutdown problem

Sorry if that's not the right place to create the discussion, but doesn't know where else... Before near 1-2 hours, my phone started shutting down automatically. I'm turned it on and it shutted down again. Before near 5 minutes i resetted it... but i still have that problem.. can someone tell me if there is a solution?

Did something happen to your Lumia 610 before this issue came up? To clarify, the phone completely turns off and not just a regular screen time-out, is that right? You mentioned that you reset the phone after the issue happened. Is it the one under Settings > About?
Is your phone already running the latest software version? If yes, you may try to restore the previous software version. Check this link for the procedure: Restoring a backup to your phone - WP7.5. After that, monitor the Lumia 610 and see if the issue will continue to happen.

Yahoo mail in Nokia lumia 610

Hi! Inbox of the yahoo mail is able synchrinise to update but the sent folder does not synchronise and gives following message .."update your account information for winmo.smtp.mail.yahoo.com:465:1 and press save..". Can somebody help how to resolve this issue?

Have you been able to sync the Sent folders in your Lumia 610 before? If yes, did you change any Yahoo! Mail setting before this issue start to happen? Have you also tried doing the steps suggested at this link: FAQ - Emails sent with my Lumia do not appear in Yahoo! Mail? If these steps didn't work, we suggest removing and re-setting up the Yahoo! account in your phone. Make sure that you have the updated email settings from Yahoo! before reconfiguring the it in your Lumia 610.

Nokia lumia 610 ringtone,and bluetooth file transf...

i have nokia 610 and i have donwloaded a ringtone from marketplace i mean song and i want to set it as my ringtone
what should i do in order to set that song as my ringing tone pls tell
and more thing if i want to send any file to other mobile do i need a special software or anything like that

Once you have downloaded and saved the new ringtone, you can set it as your ringtone by going to Settings>Ringtones&Sounds>Ringtone, Scroll to the top because this is where you will find all your downloaded ringtone. Just select the one you want to use.
Your Lumia 610 does not support bluetooth file transfer for the moment. However, this feature will be added with the next WP7.8 update which is due soon. In the mean time you can transfer files to other phones by using Skydrive or by emailing.

Nokia lumia 610 randomly dials numbers

I have a Nokia Lumia 610 and for some odd reason last two weeks it randomly dials numbers either mobile or landline. When its sat on the kitchen table, it just dials it, more oddly it switches to loud speaker and it does it about 10-15 times same number one after another.
Switched it off and back on and for a few days its ok and then it does it again. Anyone ever come across this and is it fixable

Do you have a screen protector on the screen? Sometimes a screen protector can do selections on it's on, especially if it is of a lower quality. If so, try to remove the film to see if it fixes the issue.
You could try to reset your phone, which will reinstall the operating system on the phone. To reset your phone, go to settings > about > reset your phone. It is recommended to synchronise all your media files before doing this, as it will remove all user files on the phone. Please note that you will lose all your text messages in the process.

Nokia lumia 610 mms

I have a Nokia lumia 610 and since having it for a month I was unable to use my data I pay for on contract. Also am unable to send or recieve mms messages. I found the network support and did that. My internet is now working but my mms will still not send or recieve. It just says get media content. Then getting media content. Then goes back to the same etc..

Mobile network settings let you control the cellular data connection for your phone. An Access Point Name (APN) is the address your phone uses to connect the internet through your operator network. On the first startup Internet and MMS settings are read from the SIM if available.
Try doing this step:
If you don't already have Network Setup application, download and install the Network Setup application which can be found in the Nokia Collection on Marketplace. Start the application and select your local carrier to setup Internet and MMS settings.

. Go to setting-configuration settings- personal configuration settings-add new- web. Don't enter any data in any field & press back. Then press again add new-access point. Again don't enter data in any field & press back. Now select each of them & activate them as default. Come back to config settings-default config settings- personal- activate. Then select activate default in all apps. Then select prefered access point & select the one labelled as My access point.

Wifi and Marketplace not working on Lumia 610

Hi,
So as the title suggests, my wifi and marketplace aren't working on my Lumia 610.
I have it maybe two months, and just today the Wifi stopped working. Laptops, other smartphones and an iPod are all connecting to the modem just fine. Just my phone. It also keeps telling me my internet password is wrong, when it's not.
Googled for hours to find a solution, tried everything, nothing worked.
Finally, on Nokia's website, I believe, it told me to try resetting my phone. Did it.
Still not working. Now I'm getting the error code: 805a0193 in the marketplace, so now I can't download any apps.
I had literally done NOTHING to the phone, this just started out of nowhere.
Any help is appreciated.

EDIT: Now it won't even sync with Zune

Actually, you can reset your phone on your own so there is no need to go to your Nokia Care only to reset your phone. Resetting won't void warranty too.
You can reset your phone by going to Settings - About - Reset Your Phone and resetting may solve your issue.
At the same time, you can ask for help in this website to chat with the Windows Phone team so they can (hopefully) help you on this issue.

Calls from Lumia 610 doesn't transfer to MW600

Hi,
I'm using a Nokia Lumia 610 running Windows Phone 7.5 Mango, using the MW600 with the phone's music works fine. But when a call comes up or I made an outgoing call, no audio from earphones and microphones of MW600. Call audio remains on the handset. Is it a compatibility issue or something else?
Just got the Lumia 610 and still a noob to WP7, I don't know if I miss set some settings or something else. Please help.

I don't have the ability to test MW600 with a Lumia 610 or even a different model running WP7.
It sounds like a compatibility issue (meaning they do not support each other) but I would not take that for true until it's been tested. Can you perhaps do some testing on your own? Do you have a Sony or Sony Ericsson phone at hand you can connect your headset to just to confirm if it works with this phone or not? If you do, please let me know what phone model you're testing with so I can confirm it they should work or not.

As the subject says , my lumia 610 won't turn ON the facebook chat from the "messaging" tab . It keeps reporting 80070490 error and nothing happens . Also , when i try to log-in to windows-live hotmail it says "Oops,something went wrong" . Please help . The mobile is connected to the internet i can browse through everything else .

I understand where you're coming from, but let's try isolating the issue. Did something happen to your Lumia 610 prior to this? Have you tried pressing and holding both the volume down and the power keys for 15 seconds? It should reboot. If that doesn't help, you can also consider resetting the phone by following the below steps:
Make sure the charger is disconnected.
While the phone is off, press and hold the volume down and camera keys.
Press and hold the power key.
When the phone vibrates, release the power key, but continue holding the volume down and camera keys, until the phone reboots.
Warning: This erases all personal content on your phone and restores the factory settings.
If the above troubleshooting steps fail, we suggest sending the phone to our facility for an assessment. See: Nokia Local Support to know the nearest Nokia Care Points within your area. To know warranty coverage, you can check: NOKIA MANUFACTURER’S LIMITED WARRANTY FOR NOKIA WITH WINDOWS PHONE.
Note: Everything will be deleted once the phone is sent for repair.

Issue when connect my Lumia 610 withcharger

When I connect my Lumia 610 with charger, Its touch screen gets stuck.
It does not allow me to unlock the phone by sliding the wallpaper upside.
When I disconnect chrger then it works like anything.
I had also noted that some times, the wallpaer keeps jumping and suddenly slides upside and random applications gets started.
but again when I remove the charger then it works normaly.
is there any issue regarding the USB connector?

Thanks for your post and welcome back to the Nokia forum.
We are really sorry for this inconvenience.
In order to fix this issue, I would advise you to perform a hard reset on your phone as follows :
Select Settings > About > reset your phone.
Keep in mind that the back up will delete all informations in your phone, then I would suggest you to sync your media files to zune (photos, music, videos); and sync your contacts to your Windows Live account (you can't sync contacts to Zune). After a hard reset of the phone, you can sync the media files back to the phone from the Zune software and you can set up the same windows live account on the phone that you synced the contacts to and restore the contacts back to your phone.
Apps can be downloaded again from Marketplace after a reset. There is a handy tool which, once setup, will do this for you. It is available in Marketplace and is called Reinstaller.
If the problem persists, I would invite you to visit your local Nokia care point to get the phone checked, If it needs a repair, it could be done there.

My Lumia 610 phone stopped sending mails. Every mail I send drops to the draft box. It have work well and I checked the account details from my collegue and he had the same account settings as my phone. His phone works fine. What is the problem?

Nokia lumia 610 power button problem

Hi,
It has been more than a year since i have been using my nokia lumia 610 but from few days i have been experiencing a problem with my phone . sometimes power button becomes too sensitive and it becomes like a touch button , Also , it turns off by itself And while starting , it reaches upto nokia logo and then vibrate and turns off.
now phone working fine, "this problem started when my phone fall down like 50 cm high to ground".

Thanks for your feedback and welcome to the forum.
Windows Phone does not support file transfer through Bluetooth, you can however use Skydrive, attach images and Office documents to a mail or transfer media files using Zune.
Custom ringtones can be used as general or contact specific tones, more information can be found here.
Windows Phone synchronizes contacts and calendars live and in real time with Outlook without the need to actually have the phone connected to your PC running Outlook by using a Wi-Fi or Mobile data connection. You can find more information on this here.
