Then when i try and connect it to the computer it shows the no battery screen with just the lightning bolt. and when i try to restore it the screen flashes then resest to the no battery screen and i get error 1602. Do you know what is wrong with it? do you think its just the battery cause i can replace that for cheap or do you think the circuts are fried?

No. It sounds like the water destroyed the component inside the iPod.
About your only choice now it to take it to Apple and pay for a replacement.

IPOD 5 Touch is not taking a charge.  It shows a picture of a lightning bolt and above that a picture of a battery at the end of the battery is a slim red line.  This was purchased in August 2013.  Could it be battery or ac charger adapter or usb cable?

Those all sound like reasonable causes.  I do not know the answer.  There is probably an Apple Support forum for the ipod that could help.  Also try the ipod Help in itunes.

  • Lightning bolt and Small Cog Wheel

    Hey
I just bought Lumia 720 and unfortunatelly first boot didn't work. Phone showed Nokia logo for a few seconds and then went to Lightning Bolt with small cog wheel and it shows that for over hour!!! Nothing happens else. Phone haven't started even once. What that thing is and what to do about it?
    Solved!

    Dear Nokia support team
I am a customer from India, Mumbai. I bought Nokia Lumia 520 on 3rd August 2013 from the authorised dealer - Zoop, <<owner being Harshad bhai>> , at Charni Road, No - 66331075.
As on 29th September 2013, which is close to less than 2 months, my phone went dead. As in, Only the logo of Nokia appears and pursuant to that two white cog wheels appear to be spin on the phone screen. It does not go ahead of the same. the battery is alwyas empty and I charge it, it becomes too hot. and the cog wheels appear again. I vchecked on your website and saw that this is a problem prevalent with many nokia lumia series phones and the solution is to go to customer care centre. However, when I went to the customer care center in Anajli Building at Opera House in Mumbai, they said that the phone will not be covered under warranty period and they will charge extra and that the motherboard is tampered, when it has not been tampered by anyone. They refused to help me and gave me an ultimatum that I either pay extra or my phone is dead. I have one warranty on, why should I pay extra.
Further, when I went to my authorised dealer, instead of helping me he decided to play a blame game and decided to mock me, I dont know if he is responsible for selling tampered products. Maybe you'll can check into the same and check whether the dealer is doing right or is a screwball and engaged into illegal practices.
Please help me. I need my phone back in shape as it is my office phone and I have emails and contacts on the same which are very very precious to me.

  • Lumia 620 Software Problems (Opening Settings and ...

I've just bought a new unlocked lumia 620 and its great. APART from the fact that I cant open settings. After completing the initial setup, I cant open settings, and when I shut down the phone, it gets stuck on the goodbye screen and I have to take the battery out! Any ideas?

Hi, just my dother get 620 as well and same problems, all others working well but when try to open setups, it will show empty screen and then coome back basic  view.
when switch off , goodbye text will keep on screen long long time and need to open  phone and take battery away and put it back, after that when swithc phone on again , same problem....
So looks that there is some kind of problem with SW, same problems as earlier with Symbian phones, HW is ok, but software never.......
Do i need send this back for retailer or contact to Nokia service and they will flash it again?

  • Iphone 5 not charging blinking empty battery, lightning bolt and plug

My battery went low, to 1% and kept working for about 30 minutes.
When I got home it was showing the "charge me now".
Now its just blinking "charge me" for 4 seconds, going black for 4 seconds.

    Hi,
No one contacted me, but I figured it out on my own.
Apparently it does this when there is a connection to the charger that isn't making full contact on all pins.
Sooo.. I realised this by applying slight pressure to the lightning connector, and it started charging.
I propped some weight and let it charge overnight.
The next night, this trick would no longer work :(..
I figured maybe lint from my pocket got inside the lighting port on the iphone?
Got a flashlight, sure enough.. Lint.
So I fished it out with something small like a paper clip.
    Fixed it immediately.

  • Lumia 620: Reset error, Stuck on gears screen

Yeah. I tried to do the Amber update on my phone, but it restarted during the update and it said I didn't have enough space for the update because it wanted to redownload the files rather than use the ones already there. I couldn't clear any more space because of the Other Storage bug so I tried resetting my phone to factory settings. It has been stuck on the gear screen for an hour now, and I've turned it off and on again several times to no avail. please help, because this is becoming frustrating and annoying very very quickly.

Stuck on running gears for over 8 hours!
    The silence will fall

  • Lumia 620 Storage error

Hi. My phone restarted and gave me an error message. My mail accounts tiles are missing from homescreen. Just disappeared. Tried to setup email again in settings.
it wont. I tap and it just reverts back. Some other tiles doesnt work either. Like photos. Tap and it just returns, doesnt open.
I tried soft reset to no avail.
This is second time my phone is acting up. Had it sent away. Was bricked, but they fixed it.
    Getting tired of this **bleep**.

    1. Pin email app from app list
    2. Is date time location correct?
    3. Is SD card faulty?
    4. Try Soft reset (vol. Down + power long press)
    5. If to no avail Full reset!

  • When trying to launch (D)iagnostics, iMac shows gray screen with lightning bolt and USB icons

Just in time for my birthday...
    Mid 2011 iMac with 10.6.8
Occasionally its fans would rev up to the maximum and stay there until computer is restarted or put to sleep. But today the fans were blowing (albeit more moderately) from the start. Previous solutions would not help and iMac would even put itself to sleep after a minute or less.
Resetting SMC didn't help, so I've tried to launch AHT while pressing D during the boot. It worked in the past, but now it showed gray screen with these two icons jumping around. On top of that, I couldn't find find both OSX and Drivers discs (facepalm). Luckily I had Lion install disc, so with it I launched Disk Utility and verified the disk. HDD itself passed, but OS partition was declared unrepairable and in need of format.
I have Time Machine, so I happily formatted and started installing Lion. But during install, every few minutes or even less, computer would go to sleep again. Despite that install managed to continue, but when it got to "Downloading additional stuff" part, progress stopped and countdown even started to go UP minute by minute.
I figured that every time iMac went to sleep (because probably it thought it was overheating) download had to start again and it would never finish. So I cancelled and restored Snow Leopard system from Time Machine. After booting from HDD, I verified it and it passed. But Diagnostics still won't launch.
    Any ideas?

Apple Hardware Test comes installed on the hard drive by default, but it's deleted when you erase the hard drive or you upgrade OS X.
In your case, you need the Mac OS X DVD. If you haven't got it, call Apple to get replacement discs > http://support.apple.com/kb/HE57
After getting the DVDs, insert the Mac OS X DVD and press D key while your Mac is starting to start Apple Hardware Test. Remember to run an extended test

  • When I updated to ios 5.0.1 my battery was half way full and it was charging. It started to install it and now it is completely dead (with the lightning bolt) and when i try to turn it on, i have a white screen. HELP

I have a ipod touch 4g, i just updated to ios 5.0.1 today. At the time, my battery was half way full so i had it charging. It started to install, i'm not sure if it actually did or not, but it turned off and started loading like if it were a new ipod, or like when you install new software. then the screen went blank and it restarted. it says its completely dead now but if i click the home button it turns on but goes straight to a white screen.

    - If the screen remains white, let the battery fully. After charging for an hour, try a reset:
Reset iPod touch:  Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    And restore as necessary,
    - If it is off try:
iOS: Not responding or does not turn on

  • IPhone plug/lightning bolt icon at 50%

    Hi,
I looked around and only found users that experienced this at or near 100% battery level. Regardless of how charged it is, when I plug it in the icon is usually a plug icon and not a lightning bolt. I believe the plug means it is no charging. Indeed, it does not look like the battery level is rising. Thoughts?
    Thanks
    SM

"But then it will randomly switch back to the lightning bolt, and a few minutes later back to the plug icon, and then back to the lightning bolt, and then back to the plug, and so on, without me ever unplugging it."
Seems logical to me. To see the battery indicator change, at the very minimum you have the screen on. That uses power, so the charge goes down, at which point the battery starts recharging. No?

  • HELP - My new Nokia Lumia 620 won't boot up, even ...

I'm worried my Nokia Lumia 620 is a lemon, and the Care Centre will just keep taking it in for repair.  The reliability so far has been disappointing, especially as I was giving Nokia a try after a 10 year break, and also trying out Windows Mobile / Phone after a 6 year break.  I want to recommend it - I'm continually being asked by friends and colleagues what I think of my new phone.   Nokia will be smart to just replace it.
The details: my Nokia Lumia 620 won't boot up today (again).  It hung on boot  this morning with the Nokia Logo.  That was over 2 hours ago.  It had this problem during February, and I returned it twice for repair to the local Nokia Care Centre.  I guess I'll take it in again later today, but it just feels like a lemon handset so far.
    Timeline:
Handset purchased in local Nokia Store on Jan 29 2013 ( 7 weeks ago)
Handset gave "Exclamation-Mark-Screen-of-Death" on Feb 19 2013 (3 weeks old handset)
Local Nokia Store sent me to local Nokia Care Centre, handed in overnight "for repair"
Phone returned on Feb-20-2013 after software refresh.
Worked fine for 1 week.   Problem returned Feb 26 2013. (4 week old handset)
Nokia Care Centre "replaced motherboard" on Feb 27 2013.
Has worked fine for 3 weeks.   Now Lumia 620 won't boot this morning - no Exclamation Mark, instead it's the Nokia Logo on boot.
The handset is 7 weeks old.
Hard reset (side-button-combination) hasn't worked either.
Any advice on getting this working, repaired or replaced?

Update on the repair - it didn't work.   I returned the phone to the Yau Ma Tei Nokia Care Centre on March 20th, and was given what was termed a 'replacement' phone.   I was pretty happy.  All was well.  But two days later when I tried to make a phone call using my headphones, I noticed that only the left audio channel was working through the earphones.   I tried a second pair of earphones and the same problem.    The audio was only working through the left channel.  On a new phone.  How strange.
So was it really new?   My suspicion is that the repair centre has used old returned parts (parts they perhaps term as refurbished) - so in fact my replacement phone is my old phone assembled with old and refurbished parts.   Was it in fact a refurbished phone assembled from refurbished parts?   Frustrating when they tell me it's a replacement phone.
That was back in late March.  I posted a couple of tweets and Nokia responded.  They even phoned me to try and help.  However no offer of a new phone.  All they suggested was that I revisit the Nokia Service Centre.   For a 4th time.
That was about 6 weeks ago, and I simply haven't made the time to go to the Service Centre again.   It's hard to find the time when my last 3 visits have been so unsuccessful.
Sometimes you just get a lemon.   It happened to me once before with a different manufacturer when I was on a contract and had to live with a phone for 2 years that kept cutting out during calls.   Same problem - the manufacturer attempted to repair it, but it just never worked properly.   That was 10 years ago.  Now it's happening with my new Nokia.  Luckily I'm not on contract this time.  I've read good reviews for the Lumia 620, and overall it's a pretty decent handset in every other way.
But the issues this particular handset has been plagued with has overshadowed any positive feelings I have been having.   I'll probably be cutting my losses and changing handsets in the summer.
