Lumia 620 In-app Camera Slow Start Up

Probem Description:
Push "Camera key", In-app Camera app start up. 4 icons appears as usual next to the Windows logo but the "Liveview" was nowhere to be seen. After 5-7 sec, the "Liveview" only appear. However by that time, the moment that I want to capture already gone.
What is the cause of the slugglishness of the camera start up?
Could it be:
1) insufficient RAM?
2) too many camera app in the phone?
3) outdated OS?
4) phone storage almost full?
Please provide solution or suggestion to overcome the issue.

Im using Nokia 525 which is 520 with 1gb ram and gdr3 black. I have same situation with you as well. Nokia camera app takes longer time to start (5-7s) compare with built-in camera app (2-4s). I will choose built-in app as default in case emergency photo shoot and manually run Nokia camera app for better customization when I am not in rush. I hope Nokia camera app can be improved soon, because this app is really awesome.

Lumia 620 front facing camera

Hi,
i am unable to use the front facing camera on my lumia 620.
i have tried updating the software and it says there are no new updates as it is fully up to date, however i still cannot work out how to use the front facing camera. Everything else on the phone works fine, including the main camera and the flash. I can see it has a camera on the front and reviews have said it is a vga camera, but i am unable to use it, as i cannot work out how.

Nokia Lumia 620 Product Fault

Hi,
I have a Nokia Lumia 620 that I brought in early Februrary from Expansys and a month later it got a broken power button. First I sent it to the Nokia service center in Canada and they said that it wasn't from Canada and they could not repair it. I can understand this. Then I sent it to Expansys USA and they had the phone for a bit and then they sent it to China. I am about to recive the phone and the power button has not been repaired because it has been demmed user damage. This is a product fault, look how many people have a broken button with the Nokia Lumia 620:

Lumia 620 option to select front camera has vanish...

Noob here so go easy on me, tried searching but couldn't find anything...
My Lumia 620 seemed to spend most of the weekend updating various things including windows 8.1 cyan. now when I select the camera function I haven't got the option anywhere to select the front camera. When I start the standard (Microsoft?) camera app either from the apps menu or by using the camera button I just get a choice of Video, Burst and Single Photo modes across the bottom, tapping on ... brings up photo and video settings but no option anywhere to change to front camera. The rear camera seems to work fine.
Is this likely to be related to the updates or could something else be up (I haven't tried to use the front camera for a while).
Any suggestions appreciated.

From within the camera settings, you can also change default camera app if you've installed other ones. The Nokia camera app and Nokia panorama app are free apps to concider if you like taking pictures
And if you're one of those selfie-junkies, you have the Nokia Glam me app

Nokia Lumia 620 won't start up

Hello everyone!
I'm writing you this because i have a problem with my Nokia Lumia 620.
Here's the story: I received the phone from italy as a gift, the phone wasn't new because my relatives actually bought the phone for them but they didn't like it because they had to create a microsoft account to import their contacts from sim, so they sent the phone to me.
When i received it, it was like brand new, out of the box, with stikers and all.
I made a reset, a microsoft account, then imported my contacts, installed some apps, played a lot with the phone untill i drained allmost all the batery(some battery low warnings appeared) but went to recharge it before it shut off, after this i went to sleep. I was woken up in the middle of the night because the phone started to vibrate, i went to see what was happening and when i tried to unlock the phone using the side buton i got no response because the phone was shut down. This is were all the trouble started, i realised there is a problem because when i started charging the battery, the phone was still on and there wasnt any way the phone couldve run out battery. I pressed the unlock button longer to turn on the phone, no luck, the on response was a slight vibration and a glimpse of white screen.The vibration and glimpse appear when i have the at charging battery, if i pulld out the charger it wont respond to any comand. Because the phone was bought from another country, i cant go to a nokia store here, beacause the warranty is not valid.
From what i found on the internet the problem should be the motherboard, mainboard, etc.
What should i do? Sending the phone to italy is out of the question.
Sorry for the bad english, is not my first language, neither is italian.

if the battery is completely dead, just keep the phone connected to the charger, and wait about 30 mins before trying to turn it on
and fyi, if the charger is not powerful enough, lumia phones can drain the battery even if it's connected to the charger

My Nokia Lumia 620 won't install new apps or updat...

My nokia Lumia 620 is stuck at "pending" when I try to install new apps or update existing apps on my phone from the store. I even tried unistalling and reinstalling but still was stuck at pending. That's it no error message, no crashes. it just waits for ever and it never starts downloading
I have a nokia Lumia 920 and it works fine with the same sittings and downloads from the same Wi-Fi - What's wrong and how do I fix it?
I'm not a forums guy but I posted this because I couldn't find my problem anywhere on the internet, so I'm really desperate. I need the phone fixed ASAP.

Camera stops working in Lumia 620

I have a Lumia 620 from more than a year. The camera stops working three days ago without reasons, because I hadn't installed or uploaded anything. Today I uploaded the phone at Windows 8.1, hoping it could solve my problem, but it actually didn't. I press the camera button and it crashes and if I use some app that require the camera, the screen stays black without showing anything.
There is anything I could do?

In addition to what @adrianhughes has advised, you can also try to uninstall and re-install those other cameraapplications that you have on the phone. Lumia 620 & Windows Phone App Connection Problems

I've been having problems with a Lumia 620 connecting to the Windows Phone App on my Windows 8 laptop. The App keeps reporting that the phone has a problem and is not playing nicely. I've eliminated the laptop as the issue as my Lumia 920 connects without a hitch. I'm guessing the issue is with the Lumia 620's software as it was recently updated in the past two months. Any solutions out there apart from resetting the phone?

you could try to uninstall the windowsphone app from your laptop and reinstall it to see if maybe it wasn't connecting and loading the drivers correctly.

You can't do that once you start recording.. You may first set the Zoom level and then start recording ..

Lumia 620 camera viewfinder quality

I recently got my Lumia 620 and I'm very happy with it. However there seems to be a problem with the camera. In the first attachement, there is a screenshot of how my screen looks like when taking a picture. That doesn't seem right, does it? The picture itself looks just fine, as you can see in the second attachement (didn't really focus, but the difference is clear).
When I point the camera to a bright outdoors scene, the image improves until looks fine.
The front facing camera is just fine.
So, is this a known problem that might be solved with a firmware update in the future, or should I look into returning my camera?

Welcome to the forum!
You can try to perform a reset and let see if it will make any changes. To reset your phone, go to Settings > About > Reset your phone.
NOTE: Reset will delete all your data so make sure to backup your files. See this link for more info on how you can perform a backup.

When my Firewire 800 drive is in sleep mode, when I start up an app like MS Excel or Addressbook. I get a spining wheel and a delay before the app launches. Any ideas? Never happened in 10.6.

Photo App Displays Unorganized Pictures (Camera Roll starts over at 1,000)

I finally bought an iPhone 4.
=)
BUT, i backed up my 3GS and restored from back up to my iPhone 4.
When i first opened my pics app it said rebuilding so i let it rebuild.
Now my Camera Roll starts over at 1,000.
SO now every pic i had past 1,000 from my 3gs is displayed at the top instead in the order they were taken.

Just so you know, the camera roll is a temp place for photos. While yes part of a backup, they are not put in a place for you to really access or store them.
You really should be taking pictures off the camera roll often and keeping it as clear as possible. It is a separate partition in a way from the rest of the OS and shows up as a digital camera to your computer and why you can access them directly outside of iTunes.
Photos should be taken off by you then if you want them on the phone you can sync them back to their own albums. One, this ensures you have real copies on your computer (that you have your own backup and storage practice) as well as makes it so it doesn't have to waste time trying to back them up each time since you have them on your computer.
There is also a limit to how much the Camera Roll can hold as I mentioned it is a separate partition sort of and not meant for long term storage.

Do you mean like a clear stick on screen protector? Don't think anyone uses them because they degrade the quality of the photographs taken through them. What you could do is to get a silicon case which should provide some protection to the lens by creating a recess for it.
