I got a multimedia message but i can not save the picture on my phone.
When i tap on the link download media content, the phone vibrates and nothing else happens.

Lumia 620 fails to connect to car bluetooth - coll...

My lumia 620 did initially connect to my ford focus car audi/phone successfully. However after about a week it failed to connect and I haven't been able to connect since. Defeats the object of hands-free!
Steps taken (which work with previous phones of various makes/models):
Turn bluetooth on in car
Turn on phone bluetooth connectivity
Car display finds my phone successfully and provides a PIN to enter in the phone
Phone bluetooth status says 'unable to connect to ford audio system' and times-out.
I've noticed that the 'tap to pair' message doesn't appear as it previously did and I can't find anywhere else to look for bluetooth settings.
A colleague who has an identical phone can successfully connect - it does show the 'tap to pair' message.
I have updated the ford audio system software and checked the other phone connects ok. I have also tried removing the phone battery several times but still no joy.

Amber update error 8018830f on Lumia 620

My Lumia 620 has an avalaible amber update, but it seems that my lumia can open the update after it was downloaded.
I get the error message 8018830f - the download is downloaded, but the device can NOT open it.
Can someone help me or give me some advice what I should do?
(I tried to reboot my phone to factory settings, but i still get the error message)

Hi Guys,
Try the following steps:
1. Go to Settings > Language+region.
2. Tap the Phone language.
3. Select a new language (Make sure that you're familiar with the language).
4. Download the language pack and then restart the phone.
5. After that, retry to update your phone by going to Settings > Phone updates.
Let us know the outcome.

Any tool to recover my Lumia 620 from QHSUSB_DLOAD...

It seems that Lumia Software Recovery Tool and Windows Phone Recovery Tool does not support recovery from QHSUSB_DLOAD download mode.
Is there any way to recover my phone from this mode? I'm almost buying third-party recovery hardware like ATF Box to fix my Lumia 620.
It's strange that the same Windows Phone Recovery Tool broke my phone and cannot recover it.

Before anything else, we do not recommend using unauthorized tools and/or software as it will void the limited warranty of your phone and it may cause unforeseen damage to it as well. Would you mind telling us what exactly were you doing on the phone prior to encountering the aforementioned error message? To avoid repetitions, what are the fixes you've already tried? BTW, which Lumia phone are you using?
If you happen to solve the issue, sharing how you did it will be valued as it can possibly help other users who are still experiencing the same.

Lumia 620- no sound, no ringtone

i just bought lumia 620...but i am facing problems
i cant hear sound when i play some music.....but i can hear it from earphones....but without earphones its nothing...and the other one is RINGTONE SETTINGS......i checked some sites saying CUSTOM option in ringtone=sound setting...but in my lumia 620 there is no CUSTOM option...that means i cant set any other song or music as my ringtone...and when people are calling......i cannot hear ringtone......volume is fulll....even when i play them from ringtone=sound setting.....there is no sound...i tap on play sign on any ringtone...and nothing happend......
please help me..sorry for my english

"custom" will only appear if you have an audio file available for it. try this :
1. pick an MP3 from your computer
2. change the MP3 file's properties > genre > "ringtone"
3. connect your usb cord to computer n fone
4. look for the folder 'ringtones'
5. copy that MP3 there
6. give it a minute or two
7. on your fone, goto settings > ringtone+sound > ringtone
notice the "custom" option will already be available at the very top. please note you CANNOT set a custom tone for 'message alert' :/

Lumia 620 Indian CV - No firmware available on Rec...

Hi,
This message is specifically for Nokia employees. I've a Lumia 620 which is an Indian CV with product code 059R5S6. I want to fix few things by reinstalling the Nokia Black firmware through Nokia Recovery Tool which I got from: http://www.nokia.com/us-en/support/software-recovery/
The problem I am having is that Nokia servers don't have any firmware for 059R5S6 as I get this error:
"Software package not available for this phone. Package download for the selected phone failed."

Same issue here. These days a LOT of product codes are being hidden and a NOL account is required to access them. Of-course it's only available to care center guys.
But now that we have a consumer centric refurbishment suite (Nokia Software Recovery Tool), I think its the right time to unblock all of them else there's no point for the labor done to create a replica of NSU and renaming as NSRT. The situation is worse here in India as it seems every new Lumia/Asha/X having an Indian Product code has its firmwares hidden. IDK if its due to the testing they do here in the Chenn@i plant (firmwares are hidden during the testing) and then forget to list them publicly.
I've tried PMing a Nokia employee here, but there was no revert. Nokia India Care is of NO help. Wish somebody sees it.

Lumia 620 invalid IMIE

I purchased Lumia 620 from Flipkart 2 days back. I wanted to enter into FCB contest and sent message to 55555 with IMEI and name. I received return message saying my IMEI is incorrect. What is the problem with my phone? I checked IMEI tracker in web, there also it says, invalid IMEI. Is there a generic problem with 620 IMEI numbers?? What should I do now to get/register my IMEI number?

Lumia 620 compass problem

there is something I dont understand, I get Nokia Lumia 620 and was abble to use compass until two week ago when I get message Device does not support compass. Did I disable something or what happened I dont understand.

Try a device reset and ig this will not work return the device to your retailer for service. If the last it will be reset anyway so no harm in trying.

Lumia 620 USB connection

Attempting to connect my new Lumia 620 by USB via Nokia Suite. Message 'installing USB driver' appears but nothing downloads. Running Windows 7 on my PC. Unable to connect phone, backup, update etc. Is this common?

Try using windows phone app from microsoft . it does not have all the feature of nokia pc suit but it can be usefull for transfering media files between phone and pc.

Lumia 620 video format - Panasonic TV

They seem to be claiming the Nokia Video format is not compatibile with their TV sets ( well mine anyway, a TX-L37DT30B ).
The Panasonic manual seems to say it can handle MP4 files of type H.264 BP/MP/HP with AAC/MP3 audio.
The Nokia web site for the 620 says "Video recording formats: MP4/H.264" and "Audio recording file formats: 3GP, 3G2"
The Panasonics DLNA "file manager" can see the video and reports it as 1280x720p MP4 file, but it stutters badly when played back via the 'Play To' Beta app.
So the questions basically are:
Am I missing something,
Are these video/Audio formats compatibile?
And more importantly, should the Lumia 620 be able to play back video on a Panasonic TV? (Any other panasonic users out there).

Beta forum - that will have to wait then. I've had two attempts to post to it (from different browsers) and both failed. After pressing <submit> to make the post it gives a message "server unavailable" (or some such nonsense).

I'm trying to stream Lumia 620 video to a panasonic TV using DLNA via a BT Home Hub 2B. The phone connects wirelessly to the router, and the TV connects via powerline Eth adapters to the router.
Whilst I can connect and see photos on the TV, video is just a stuttering slide show.
I originally posted here - http://discussions.nokia.com/t5/Nokia-Lumia/Lumia-620-video-format-Panasonic-TV/td-p/1810002 and was advised to post on the Beta discussion as well.
The video stutters when played by DLNA, but the same video transferred to an SD card via a PC, plays OK in the TV.
I've been on touch with Panasonic and they seem to be blaming the phones video format for not playing in the media server, yet their brochure for the TV claims it can play 720p MP4 videos.
Any ideas?
Should the Lumia be able to stream its own videos to a Panasonic TV?

Nokia Lumia 620 upgrade Denim

Got a critical software update message yesterday to upgrade to Denim (8.10.14219.341)
Unfortunately I agreed and it messed up my Lumia 620 - spinning cogs on power up & no way to get the phone even back to factory settings using keypresses on device. I needed to install the Lumia software recovery tool to get an install back on the 620 - not a quick process and poor on screen instructions.
Lumia software recovery tool installed the following (not Denim software):
Firmware: 3058.50000.1425.0006
Software: 8.10.12393.890
Within minutes of getting the phone functional again (obviously all data lost from it) I got a a critical software update message again to upgrade to Denim. I thought that the initial problem was maybe the software trying to install on the wrong firmware (the firmware installed by the recovery tool seems to be the right version), so I tried to upgrade to Denim again - doh! Back to the spinning cogs!
Back to the Lumia software recovery tool.
I'm with Talktalk (Vodafone network), but (according to a support page) the recovery tool seems to have installed the Firmware for O2. Hopefully it will work OK for a while - I can't go through this process a 3rd time.
I guess I now have to ignore the critical software update messages. I would advise you to do the same - unless someone from Mircosoft can provide a reliable update for the 620.

Nokia Lumia 620 "Error: Unable to find bootable op...

I'm in need of some help with my Nokia Lumia 620. It is 21 months old. It was running on Lumia Denim (WindowsPhone8 (8.10.14219) according to the Hardware/Software Info on my account on windowsphone.com)
Today the screen suddenly went black when I tried to open the email app and started to display the message "Error: Unable to find bootable option. Press any key to shutdown"
I have tried removing the battery and replacing it after ten mins. I still get the error.

I have tried to perform a HARD reset. This doesn't work as as soon as the power button vibrates and I press the volume down button the phone shuts down, the exclamation mark never appears.
Please could you point me in the right direction for solving this and getting my phone up and running

My nokia Lumia 620 is stuck at "pending" when I try to install new apps or update existing apps on my phone from the store. I even tried unistalling and reinstalling but still was stuck at pending. That's it no error message, no crashes. it just waits for ever and it never starts downloading
I have a nokia Lumia 920 and it works fine with the same sittings and downloads from the same Wi-Fi - What's wrong and how do I fix it?
I'm not a forums guy but I posted this because I couldn't find my problem anywhere on the internet, so I'm really desperate. I need the phone fixed ASAP.

if the battery is completely dead, just keep the phone connected to the charger, and wait about 30 mins before trying to turn it on
and fyi, if the charger is not powerful enough, lumia phones can drain the battery even if it's connected to the charger

dear all, i found that my lumia 620 earpiece volume is very low/soft. i can hardly hear what the other party is talking. volume is at max. any solution to this?
listening to music is ok. this problem only occur when making/receiving phone calls..

When your in call ensure the volume is at max not just the ringer tone.
Alternatively you can reset device if you wish.
If your phone is unresponsive, or it gets stuck showing Nokia logo, then try this: Press and hold both the Volume down and the Power keys for 15 seconds. This should get your phone to restart properly again. If this does not help, then follow next steps to perform OS reset.
Warning: Resetting your phone will return it to the same state it was in the first time you turned it on. All your personal content in the phone, including text messages and apps that you been purchased and downloaded (may be re-downloaded again) will be erased, and the phone will be restore to the factory settings.
Here are two options to follow, depending on whether you can access your phone's Settings screen or not.
Option 1: About menu
Use this option if you can access your phone's settings.
This option warns about data loss.
On the Start screen, swipe left, select Settings > About > Reset your phone.
Option 2: Hardware key combination
Use this option if you forget or lose the password.
Use this option if the phone fails to fully switch on when pressing the power on key.
Note: No warning about data loss!

Make sure the charger is disconnected.
1. Switch the power Off.
2. Press and hold the Volume down and connect the charger, if succeed an exclamation mark (!) is shown on the screen.
Step 2
Then input Keys in the following order:
1. Volume up
2. Volume down
3. Power
4. Volume down
Step 3
The phone will reset and boot up automatically. Please note that this may take several minutes.
